Turbo Charger - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Maybe I just wasn't paying attention when I ordered but is the turbo wall charger included or sold separately?
Edit: Found the answer. It is included...in the US anyways.

Curious myself after my order. What's the answer?

While I was placing my order, I remember seeing somewhere on the Motorola website that the turbo charger would be included.
Gottabemobile also says the turbo charger will be included in the box: http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/08/19/top-5-reasons-to-buy-the-moto-x-pure/
(Use Control + F and search for the word "included")

It is included. Any US phone that has Turbo charging capabilities always had the turbo charger included. It would be stupid to offer it but not include it since it is one of the main features and selling points.

Ya, I edited my post yesterday. You'll notice on the site that it says the charger is not included in some regions...for instance, the UK.

Except for the 2014 moto X. That one didn't come with it. But I'm pretty sure the xpe has it.

Yea, I talked with Moto yesterday and confirmed.

If I understood correctly, in Europe the price is around 600$ and the turbo charger is not included in the box. I hope that informations on uk sites/shops are incorrect for some reason (talkin about charger of course).

I hope you have been reading the news, or looking at the Nexus 4 manual, or watch the Google's Verge promotional video or this upcoming Nexus 4 announcement event before assuming that.
But here I am being a sucker thing it was supposed to come free with the device.
Sent from my R800x
Watching the Verge video you can hear them saying that it's not ready yet. So I suppose it might be ready at November 13th. Or later. Who knows ? !
You can buy Palm Touchstones on Amazon or eBay for $3 to $9 USD. If the Google ones are more than that you can go that route. Or get one of those Nokia 920 pillow things. They all use Qi charging.

Yes they will, that's why he suggested them. It uses the Qi standard, so anything that uses Qi will work with the N4, and both the Palm and the Nokia use Qi.
If I try wireless charging I think I'd want a pillow so my Nexus 4 can sleep sound next to me
But really, a soft charging dock would be nice
According to this webshop: http://www.3.dk/Privat/Mobil/Mobiler/LG/LG-Nexus-4/
It will cost 80€ and start shipping in the beginning of December

[Q] Will Nexus 4 recharge on a Duracell Powermat?

Will Nexus 4 recharge on a Duracell Powermat? I've read a few articles about the different wireless charging standards, but most of them are pretty vague about the differences and if there is cross-compatiblity (even if at a reduced efficiency).
I've got a Powermat PMM-1PA and wondered the same thing. The Nexus 4 is Qi compliant when it comes to wireless charging. The best info I've found so far comes from here

So, it sounds like it will work.
So Powermat is Qi compliant? Very cool.

Yeah, I emailed them to check and make sure before I bought something, and they it was a no go.
Hi people,
just to clarify, this is not what says the president of powermatt:
http://www.wirelesspowerplanet.com/news/10-questions-for-daniel-schreiber-president-of-powermat/
and always this is not what customers on amazon are saying:
http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-Qi-Enabled-Position-Inductive-Charger/product-reviews/B0041RRORA
Powermat is QI compliant.
The Duracell powermat does not specifiy that its a "qi" device.. I have witnessed the lg qi charger go up $12 in under 24 hours from retailers on Amazon in fact many sites are sold out. The lumina chargers are going for over $90!!! The gouging has begun for the holiday season.

I know for a fact the Duracell Powermat M1PB1 from Amazon DOES NOT work. Purchased it and returned it because it didn't charge my phone. Shame, it was great build quality and really good looking, IMO
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Really? Sorry for the post stating it does. I'll take it down. Dude, I looked on sooo many sights and came to the conclusion it would. Sites said it was "qi"compatible. So angry. Gotta return mine when it arrives tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up. I can believe you can't get that info from the Duracell web site, almost as they mislead you by not mentioning its compatibility.

Here is the tweet from powermat saying it is not qi compliant.

This has been covered. Powermat is not qi and will not work. Done and done.

That item has nothing to do with this thread as this thread is specifically for the Duracell power at which does not work.
I can confirm that the single Powermat does not work to charge the Nexus 4.
I was in-stores and found the Powermat at $8, asked the clerk to let me test it first... it didn't work.
I tried to place it carefully, sliding slowly to hit the sweet spot, but nothing... doesn't work.

It's Amazon, try it out and if it does not work return it. It's free to return. No risk in trying it out. I'd be interested in knowing too. That Nokia pad is a lot more classy than the ones Verizon sells.

Yes, that one will work.
I have that charger and the Verizon G2, confirmed working this evening. Works through a double layer case as well, no problems.
Also, if you don't want to wait, Verizon sells that wireless charger in the store, usually black only, for $50.
The LG wireless charger is awful. Get the Nokia and you will be happy.

Special Presidents Cabinet Edition Droid Maxx

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=291140801485&alt=web
Very cool. I discovered this yesterday. Includes a new Incipio ghost 100. Seller claims to have used phone less than one week.
I think it's cool that in all actuality there are 5 versions of the droid maxx not including the ultra. The standard 32 gb, the employee edition, the two new current 16gb revisions and now this!
It may very well be running 4.2.2. Haven't confirmed it yet though.

I have the same phone purchased last month.
This does not work on non-Verizon network. VZ appears to have done something extra to prevent it from running on other carriers.
It came with 4.4 out of the box.
I fail to see any value in this. So it belonged to "President's Cabinet" (if that is even authentic) - now what?

Agreed. The only difference is a tiny etching in the back case. Zero additional value.

May be call recorder will be by default ON and recorded conversations are routed to ex-owner... Thats surely a special phone..

Where can I find an original battery replacement for my g4 plus?

Hi. So I purchased my phone last month and I wanted to know (when time comes and if needed) where can I get original batteries. So far I've been looking out on the Internet without success. I tried Amazon, ebay (only have seen cheap knock offs).

But it's cheaper without tax and its not in general. If you need it faster, you must pay more, that's normal. I never had trouble with customs and ordered a lot from China here.

Actually I bought several replacements for other phones and Chinese knock offs are the worst you could buy. That's why I asked. And boy does it matter where you buy from. US sellers are less likely to sell you crappy batteries.
Yeah and the waiting time oc it's another issue.

replaced battery
i did replace my battery with this one already after 4 months:
(cant post links as of new user) search german amazon.de for "vhbw moto g4 plus battery"
i figured my battery to be faulty after random shutdowns occured, after which the phone always showed altering battery percentages ranging vom 0-80%. first i (and customer service of course) suspected google maps to be faulty after an update. but after i replaced the battery the shutdowns disappeared.
Btw how much a battery replacement would cost now?
