O2 (UK) have these demos instore as do 3, and CPW from later today. Had a little play and its still laggy! The orchid grey is like a reflective metal - very nice looking and a bluey grey with a hint of purple.
Swipe up to access apps a bit odd. Its looooong! Love it. Compared next to my Mate 9 Porsche Design theres loads of extra screen estate. Width is similar but very narrow bezels.
I wonder how samsung pay will work if swipe up for apps is also on there.

I ordered mine today and it was 139 including taxes and they did not charge me a stupid 20 dollar upgrade fee. I also ordered one for my wife, regular S8, no upgrade fee there either and both are JOD.
I'd be calling back in if I were you. You got taken. And I did mine and my wife's on 2 seperate calls with 2 different people just so you know.

I am trying to decide between the grey and black. I had decided on the blakc purely because the grey one in the pictures looked kinda pinky and a bit girly but I might have to get down to a CPW or O2 shop tomorrow and have a look in person.
I went with orchid gray. Mine was 137 on JoD. And I'm going to get the SD and headphones once that goes live. Screw it. Lol. Then I'll jump to the note most likely

I wondered the same (from the photos) as to whether it was a bit more aimed at the ladies, but its more bluey grey with a hint of lilac. Its really nice. I'm sold.

I'd like to see a classic black but would have to see it compared to the grey & white before deciding. Would you prefer the grey to classic black?
Verizon now offers the S3 in black & brown as well (& AT&T the garnet red) so US carriers may try to differentiate superficially but I want the 64 GB model out of the current 2 colors preferring grey (which can sometimes appear dull online). Hopefully the 64GB grey (black option would be nice however) would be immediately available with an expected on contract price of ~$399?
So will there be leaks before the 24th...?

How long did it take before the price dropped? I really don't want to sign a 2yr contract. I sure wish there was a one year option but seeing how AT&T doesn't give you any price breaks by buying out right I guess I should just sign the contract.

I won't get it as soon as I would like if it's that's price. Android phones seem to drop in price fairly quick. I'll get it after it drops to $650 or cheaper.

It's still at $749 at Best Buy, which is still likely the same full retail as AT&T. You can get the original International Version for cheaper.
For whatever reason, AT&T doesn't seem to ever drop full retail prices. If they do, it's rare. I think it's more on them than it is on Samsung.

I fully plan on using my Buyback to get the Note 2 off contract for only a bit more than subsidized. All so I can cancel my second line. Although, what you suggested would actually be cheaper, I'm sure.

Yeah, not an option for me since all my other phones were bought off contract (for much less as I waited to buy it used a 2-3 months after release).

I haven't seen the Classic black in person, but if it's just black and has no 'brushed' effect then I doubt I'd like it. I'd like to see a nice deep royal-ish Red, and maybe a blue. If the Brown [& Black] had the brushed effects, I bet I could into them......
The Moto X has been live on the VZW site for about 15 minutes now. Did you get one?
I grabbed one on a 2-year contract upgrade for $199.99. White, 16GB (only the 16GB is available, of course - no 32GB).
I was fortunately not forced to give up my Unlimited data during the time of upgrade. This was a complete surprise to me... so I double-triple-quadruple checked during the transaction and despite doing a 2-year contract upgrade I was able to keep my data plan as unlimited on my line. I suspect, however, that this is a feature of my being on an employee account with VZW. Still, you may want to see if you have the option.
I paid $14.99 extra for next-day shipping. The website said delivered by 10:30am on 8/30/2013. Woohoo!

Right, and other parts of the sprint site mentions 4/21, even on your order receipt I think it mentions the 21st. But the 17th is a Monday, which is a classic day for Sprint shipping new devices.

Orchid gray plus also, ordered from best buy. That promo they offer i think you need to go on samsung after you get your phone to register. Defaintly gonna pay 100 extra to get that 256evo gb sd card, it cost arou d 100 on ebay on its own

Actually, the black one was super nice. Sort of reminded me of the Jet Black iPhone. Coming from the LG V20 that I absolutely hate. Always having samsung sort of spoiled me I guess

I called Best buy twice. The two agent's I talked to said the Galaxy forever was a Sprint only promotion.
That $100 they are taking off the monthly payment isn't such a great deal when your making 24 payments.
I rather go through Sprint and be able to trade my device in after 12.

Same here. With 1200 points ($6 LOL) I just squeaked under $1k out of pocket after taxes. That's a whole lot of greenbacks AFTER turning in a hardly used Note 10+ 512GB.

$50 off at Best Buy is when you activate at time of purchase. Have to activate through carrier account. Not worth the trouble particularly if the number is on an esim of another device. I always get unactivated unlocked and toss in my SIM of choice. Matter of personal preference.
Then, of course, there is the issue with Best Buy screwing up orders, doing in store pick up and going to the store on release day and there's no phone to pick up!

Pre-ordered the 512gb/16 gig ram Ultra through Tmobile and added an extra line (S20 in blue) to take advantage of their BOGO (up to $999) promo.
Here's where things get murky and maybe someone can clarify:
I am trading in my Note 9 which they will be giving me $500 in an e-virtual card. I also qualify for the Samsung credit ($200 for the Ultra and $100 for the S20) for a total of $800.00
So, with the free S20 ($999), $500 trade in (Note 9) and the $300 Samsung credit I will be receing a total of $1799 off the two phones.
Am I missing anything else with T-Mobile? Only reason I ask is because the rep I spoke to said I would be getting a 215 trade in credit monthly for the line with the Ultra phone. Then she says I will be getting a $500 virtual card that I can use to pay towards the equipment.
To me it seems like a really good deal. With tax I'm pretty much getting the 2 phones for about $1250 after you add the $10 a month for the extra line (which I still have a S9+ that I can always use as my new landline at home).

For you maybe. Camera is way better than 10+, 120hz screen is way better, and flatter screen. So IMO much better.

Yea by noon, the 512 gb Ultra for TMobile was sold out on Samsung.com 128 was still available.
Unlocked version had both 128 and 512 versions. Imo the Ultra 512 gb will be on backorder for awhile until the demand dies down.

From what I have heard maybe a day or two Max.
Preordered S20U 128 gb in the at&t flavor. I need the branded version, I make good use of wifi calling. I'm in some areas with poor or no service and wifi calling is awesome. It works on my unlocked Pixels but has never worked on an unlocked Samsung phone.

With last years note samsung shipped out a few days before T-Mobile. My biggest reason for going direct to Samsung though is that I wanted the Galaxy Watch 3 and didn't want to wait for the phone to arrive before ordering the Watch 3 with the $200 discount.

yeah blah blah blah me too - ordered on day one like all of us impatient blokes and should ship on the 19th here in the US through fedex. the note 10+ shipped right along schedule as it was anticipated last year so hopefully the shutdown won't cause any MAJOR delay in shipping...

128 Bronze, Watch 3, Buds Live (both black) and a case. Nothing has shipped yet, seems on my invoice all will ship "by" 19th and est delivery on 21st.
Pre ordered my 512Gb black as soon as it was possible. Got a military discount of $108.75, not much but better than nothing. Didn't do a trade in, just paid for it all. About the 4th or 5th one I've ordered direct from Sammy, the others I ordered the T-Mobile variant but I got the unlocked one this time. Less bloat to get rid of and from what I've read it will have wifi calling and volte, only thing missing is video calling and I always disable it via adb anyway. Hopefully will ship before the 19th, don't know but fingers crossed.
128 bronze through TMobile. I have the galaxy buds plus. Thinking about the live. They seem more comfortable I guess. Also does anyone know if you can use an Xbox controller on the note for gamepass? Probably a silly question since you can use it on iOS for apple arcade.

I ordered Verizon Note 20 Ultra 128 GB Mystic White and used my credit on the White Bud lives. Phone and buds have a ship date of Aug 19 but my email states phone will arrive on Aug 21 and buds on Aug 24.. Not sure why that is when both items are on the same invoice and I ordered the day before pre-order opened because of my reservation
Same boat as alphamega. Ordered the verizon N20U, 128gb, bronze, through samsung the day before official release. Shop App says everything is shipping by the 19th, but online it says the phone gets here on the 21st, and the case and buds/uv/charger get here on the 24th. Who knows, I'd guess it'll all change by the time things start moving from warehouses.
Ordered 128gb white with buds live and a case. I wanted to wait to see the watch 3 review before ordering, I will trade in my gear s3 to get $100 off.

This is the first time I also order through Samsung. The JOD plan was asking too much as a down. I did it for the Note 10+ but no way I'm going to do a $550 down payment on it. Like some have said, hopefully we don't see any shipping delays.

Unfortunately, jod does ask for large down payments for new devices. I guess that's what happens the more expensive these things get

I ordered bronze 128gb with the galaxy buds. Would have ordered different accessories, but it looked like it was charging an extra $50 for them. Got an email later saying they would credit me the $50 but it’s too late to change the order now. Bought from Sammy nearly every year. Note 7 I think shipped a week early. Wish that was the case this time around. Using my daughter’s crappy old iPhone since my son lost his phone a couple of weeks ago. Kids...

I have a friend who has been working there for a while and they feel it's a way to get people off the plans as they can just increase the monthly payment for it. The program was not really sustainable but it was a way to bring customers in. At one point, they had told their reps not to offer the JOD plans unless the customers asked for it. But I knew from the beginning it wasn't going to last.
