USA Pre-order thread - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Guides, News

Just ordered from sammy.com. Got the 16g/512. Got the buds and case with the $200 credit.
Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Same here. With 1200 points ($6 LOL) I just squeaked under $1k out of pocket after taxes. That's a whole lot of greenbacks AFTER turning in a hardly used Note 10+ 512GB.
I saw Flossy Carter's unboxing vid last night and noticed it did NOT include the 45W charger. Pretty lame considering the asking price.
p.s. I got everything in black, phone, Buds+ and the rugged carrying case. I had like $10 extra in store credit but let it go as there was nothing more that I felt like putting it towards. The 1200 points I believe was from the Note 10+ I bought prior. This order gave me 1730 ish points. Not even enough for a whopper meal. Oh well...

Made my preorder through samsung. Debating whether to check out best buy. There should be an additional 50 bucks off, or more.
Anyone made their preorder through Best Buy?
S20 Ultra, 128, Cosmic Grey, Unlocked.

$50 off at Best Buy is when you activate at time of purchase. Have to activate through carrier account. Not worth the trouble particularly if the number is on an esim of another device. I always get unactivated unlocked and toss in my SIM of choice. Matter of personal preference.
Then, of course, there is the issue with Best Buy screwing up orders, doing in store pick up and going to the store on release day and there's no phone to pick up!
Ever see Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? When Neil (Steve Martin) goes to pick up his rental car and there's no car there?

Just ordered mine. S20 ultra, 128, Grey, Tmobile. I'm turning in a S10+ Used the $225 to get Buds+ and a couple of the Samsung flip wallets to check out. I'm gonna be in Las Vegas for a week next month. Can't wait to put the camera to the test in Zion National Park.

1st time pre-order from Samsung. What's nice is the instant $600 trade in for my pixel4xl. It also knocks down price instantly saving some more $ on tax. Free buds and flip cover too. Not bad for $799. I only paid $600 for my pixel 4xl 4 mos ago. No brainier. Here's hoping I get it before March 6th.
Edit...lame that Samsung doesn't give the bonus $25 for only the ultra. Wtf Samsung?

Pre-ordered the 512gb/16 gig ram Ultra through Tmobile and added an extra line (S20 in blue) to take advantage of their BOGO (up to $999) promo.
Here's where things get murky and maybe someone can clarify:
I am trading in my Note 9 which they will be giving me $500 in an e-virtual card. I also qualify for the Samsung credit ($200 for the Ultra and $100 for the S20) for a total of $800.00
So, with the free S20 ($999), $500 trade in (Note 9) and the $300 Samsung credit I will be receing a total of $1799 off the two phones.
Am I missing anything else with T-Mobile? Only reason I ask is because the rep I spoke to said I would be getting a 215 trade in credit monthly for the line with the Ultra phone. Then she says I will be getting a $500 virtual card that I can use to pay towards the equipment.
To me it seems like a really good deal. With tax I'm pretty much getting the 2 phones for about $1250 after you add the $10 a month for the extra line (which I still have a S9+ that I can always use as my new landline at home).

I got the unlocked 512gb version. Only comes in black so I got black. Traded in my Note 10+ + got the $235 credit with which I got the buds and some case I'll never use, lol

yeah I ordered the the Black 512gb/16gb tmobile from Samsung`s website at 12:08 am this morning, I originally did the reserve pre-order thing, and got another 35.00 plus the 200.00 towards something at check out, so I selected the active watch 2 44mm aqua black, with the white galaxy buds+, which I`ll probably just turn around and resell the the buds., also I did the trade in for pixel 4 xl for 600.00., also the 35.00 credit I got later in a email from samsung so I can use it on there site for accessories

Phone looks okay but I will stick with note 10+ it's not worth the extra money

For you maybe. Camera is way better than 10+, 120hz screen is way better, and flatter screen. So IMO much better.

Website not even letting me order and most cases etc all gone.
At least on ATT. On phone and desktop.
Awesome.....maybe I'll just skip it too...Sammy is always such a freaking mess ordering from.

Yea by noon, the 512 gb Ultra for TMobile was sold out on Samsung.com 128 was still available.
Unlocked version had both 128 and 512 versions. Imo the Ultra 512 gb will be on backorder for awhile until the demand dies down.

Another 5% off at Samsung.com order with code: ref-2z2fpe

Yep....ATT wouldn't release my account til 3am....didn't work then either.
Probably just me.... No loss I'm sure for Sammy.... I'll wait for the Note or other.....while I search for another carrier.

Make sure to get Rakuten 10 percent off. So good

I haven’t ordered a phone direct from Samsung on release in awhile, any chance of getting them earlier than the March 6th date?

From what I have heard maybe a day or two Max.

Preordered S20U 128 gb in the at&t flavor. I need the branded version, I make good use of wifi calling. I'm in some areas with poor or no service and wifi calling is awesome. It works on my unlocked Pixels but has never worked on an unlocked Samsung phone.

Sadly I did too but paid full retail and there is no discount, only if you finance it you get discount. I cancelled and ordered direct from samsung to get it a day earlier and get the VR that day too BB delivery is 21st and Sammy is the 20th. Wont have to mess with submitting the receipt and waiting for the VR separate too this way.
PRE-ordered...still waiting
I ordered it by the time it lunch...but looks like that I still have to wait a long time to get it on my hand....
Its hard to image wht the guys on youtube can get it sooooooooooooooo early
Just got back from Best Buy and got my order in for the S8+ in black. No money out of pocket right now but as soon as I receive email to pick up the phone they will also send me the coupon for the 100 off and links to claim the VR and 256g memory card. Plan on paying in full then. (couldnt believe they would not accept any payment today??) Hope all this goes well and surprising how this new S8+ is looking to cost less out the door than I remember my S7E costing.
Can't wait.
Anyone know why it is or isn't better to order direct from Samsung?
Me I just want the phone, the akg headphones, and the 256gb sdcard cause my s7a is acting like a windows 98 computer aka being extremely slow cause of the android 7 update. And cause the headphones I think are noise canceling headphones. And cause I kept filling up my 64gb sdcard. I don't really care about the vr or the controller for vr cause I'm waiting for the Microsoft hollowlense headset that's coming out holiday season this year for pc and xbox that and I only used my vr that I got with my original s7e all of 5 times in the first 2 months of owning it then it just sat on my floor collecting dust. If it wasn't for my s7a being extremely slow I wouldn't be upgrading right now. I personally originally wanted to wait for the note 8 but that's not happening now. Now I'm just going to wait for the note 10 in 2019 after I get my s8+ this year. Now I really can't wait till I get my s8+ cause I'm going to get the 256gb sd, akg headphones, and the vr bundle aka the Samsung Immersive VR Experience Box.

Delivery a day sooner,(20th) and get vr same day instead of mail in. Plus can finance with paypal instead of "leasing" or carrier financing that way you can unlock it for straight talk, cricket etc. Cricket unlimited is 55$ for unlimited lte and 2 year paypal finance is 24$ a month. Way better than paying carrier over 100 for their gimmicky plans or 3mbps speed limit. Cricket is att towers btw and the device does NOT need to be network unlocked to use a cricket sim card.
Any of you guy aware about claiming the Gear VR from Samsung? ATT guy told me that I should to Samsung site to claim the GearVR. However the Samsung sites says to come back after getting the phone.

Anyone know for sure that AT&T isn't going to remove the included headphones I've seen in multiple unboxings?
delivery a day sooner with Samsung.com ?
funny, I preordered att 8+ at bestbuy. status shows "get it by April 20"
I ordered Samsung Direct and it says 20th on my order too. I just hate AT&T sooooo much! But I am stuck with them as its my company phone
I don't see why they would remove the headphones cause if they did that then bby wouldn't be able to offer that package then either cause almost every bby has a att experience center in it now. Besides the headphones are part of a specific vr bundle aka the samsung immersive vr experience bundle box. They can't not offer the headphones and still offer the 256gb sd card cause both things are included in the box you get with the samsung immersive vr experience box. Basically if you pre-order the s8 or s8+ and choose the samsung immersive vr experience box bundle you are saving $1,380-$1,480 cause that's how much it would be to piece all of it together including buying either the s8 or s8+ out-right and your getting it all for only $100 plus whatever you have to pay in installments. Personally I would rather have to only pay $100 plus my installment payments and not have to pay $1,580
I was referring to basic wired ones not part of promo. Usually Samsung includes a pair with most phones, but AT&T is too cheap and removes them along with changing box
I hate that AT&T changes the nice looking black box to their fugly one, the other carriers leave the box alone why AT&T, WHY?!

Thanks for the heads up! The deal explains you need to activate a new line as well. Does anyone know if you can accept the deal, activate the new line, and then cancel the new line once you've been reimbursed? Without having to pay back the phone cost?
it's a LIE, as all TMobile bogo..it's a buy 2, get reimbursed monthly for 1.

You actually get a $750 prepaid card. So you can technically pay off the device and cancel the line.

Was in the store first thing this morning. Got an S8 which I will not open. Will and sell as soon as gift card comes and cancel the extra line. Will keep the S8+ as an upgrade.
Add in the current promotions, and it gets even better with 1 yr of NETFLIX (already received). I'll use that.
2 VR headsets and 2 Entertainment Kits which I'll sell.
While not a free $850 phone, it's pretty close. Did the same thing with the BOGO on the S7 Edge last year. Does take some cash., a bit of time and patience, but it does work. Thanks again TMO.

This is exactly what I'm thinking about doing. I worked it out to being about $316 up front with taxes and down payments for the S8 and S8+. How quickly did you get your gift card? Cause I don't want to be paying $20/month for very long for a phone line I'm not going to use.
That's to my point about about "cash, time and patience". Will take a while to get the gift card. I recall with the S7 Edge it was about two months for me but I got into the deal after it had been going on for a while. For this one, I did the $750 rebate registration as soon as I got back from the store so presumably, I'll be near the front of the line.
You really have to wait until you get the gift card before canceling the 2nd line. Then use the gift card to pay off the phone and then sell it.
Buy one get one is a good deal in itself. But if you think those free gifts are worth anything you got another thing coming. You'll be lucky those gifts net you more than $60

Just did this myself.
Needed to upgrade a Note5 on one of the lines and figured why the heck not. Last day to qualify for GearVR promo too, so just in time. Don't plan on selling the second one though, it's going to get used hehe.
Just did this yesterday. Was planning on selling the extra but the wife convinced me to give it to her. =P I didn't get the year of Netflix but I did get the VRs and free cases and screen protectors, which was a nice unexpected perk.

I also did this yesterday. The reps in the store were telling me I need to keep that extra line for 6 months and then I can cancel it. I'm leaning toward that is not true and that store just needs me to keep it for 6 months to get credit. I filled out the BOGO promotion when I got home for the $750 mastercard. So, I'll pay it off in full once I get it and try to cancel.

Yeah that sounds like pretty typical sales rep b.s.. You shouldn't have any problem cancelling the line once the phone is paid off.

Cool, that's what I was thinking. I read over the paperwork too and didn't find any 6 month requirement. Just said it had to be paid off if the line is cancelled.
Interesting update. Last evening, I sold my previous S7 Edge BOGO (that I was in to for free) for $380 on eBay. Perfect condition and all original packaging. That money just went to pay down the installment plan for the BOGO phones.
Assuming that the S8+ in this deal holds good value, and that TMO continues to do these BOGO deals, you can get into a cycle where you actually net out positive each time through. It will certainly happen for me this time.

Samsung is not honoring its Galaxy S8 $200 trade-in discount for many customers

Hi, you probably read this article: http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/0...e-discount-many-leaving-customers-frustrated/
I am still waiting for my Galaxy S8 to arrive(Monday) and after receiving will need to send in my old trade-in device. Did any one have their trade-in denied or accepted? I know that Samsung values the rejected trade-in as $25 and isn't returning the old phone back to the customer even if they return the new phone.
I was planning on sending in a Note 2. It's in very good condition, with box and charger. I figured that may increase my chances of the $200 trade in offer.
I don't understand the appeal it would be more cost effective to sell your phone and then use that money towards the s8 instead of relying on Samsung's judgement on what is acceptable and what isn't.
I really don't feel bad for the ones buying cheap phones and trying to turn them in for 200 and only getting 25

I have an old LG Optimus which is still in good condition and if Samsung won't accept it, I hope they at least give $25 back and I can always return the S8 back to them. The question is: will they give $25 back even if returning the Galaxy S8?

I thought that trade-in was if you delivered an galaxy S7. When playstation 4 got out there was a deal like that, but in truth you had to deliver an Playstation 3 and 6 recent games to have a decent discount.

You get more money for the S7 ($300 I think) but it clearly stated $200 for ANY smartphone in really good condition. If you read the small print it basically said trade in values may vary. That means they pulled a fast one and are giving almost everyone $25. Once you've traded it in you're screwed because you'll get $25 and you can't get your old phone back. So trade in a phone worth nothing, at least you'll get $25 for it.

Ah, ok. Thank you. Just a marketing move. For 25$ not even my Galaxy S3
Did anyone return items back to Samsung? This is the return policy, is it actually true: "Samsung Direct will accept, for return or exchange, defective or unopened merchandise purchased at Samsung.com/US..." So I can't open the Galaxy S8 if I want to return it?
Here is my personal experience. I ordered the S8 directly from Samsung. First the deal was $100 off, from $725 to $625. Then $200 with trade-in. I sent them my LeEco LeMax 2. I had always kept it a case and the screen was perfect. No scratches on the phone. They honored the deal, and I paid $425 for my S8. Actually $457 with tax. It did state in the fine print that they reserve the right to make the final judgement, so they could say this phone wasn't eligible, but I personally think this has more to do with people trying to pull a fast one by purchasing a cheap Walmart phone for $50-$100 and returning it for a $200 discount. If you are honest with them, they are honest with you. They want people to come back to Samsung. The overall sales numbers for the S8 has been down after last years fiasco with the Note. They are not looking to create another public relations fiasco.

Thanks for your input! I have the same deal as yours and my new phone should arrive today. I do have an old LG Optimus which I would rate 8/9 out of 10 easily. Practically no scratches in overall, no dings, works perfect and battery life is long too. I could give it to my mom, but she likes her Nokia feature phone as she only calls on it. I just hope that Samsung will honor it because by my understanding it is in good working condition/order.

They said my S6 edge does not meet the "normal tear and wear" conditions., which, by Samsung standards if they have any, I don't think any devices would pass unless they are brand new.

All I know is I have an S8 for $425. Sounds as though you didn't read everything thoroughly and now your pissed off.

Here is what I did when ordering an unlocked S8+
They unlocked S8 Plus is normally $850, got it for $470
1. 20% discount for students (search for Samsung student discount). Discount is based on full price.
2. Samsung $100 discount for unlocked phones (not sure if this is still available)
3. $200 trade-in credit
I placed the order last week, direct from Samsung. Website and CSR said it was back ordered 2-3 weeks, but a few days later I received the shipping notification and I received the phone today.
For the trade-in:
1. Called Samsung sales and spoke with a CSR. I confirmed that the $200 trade-in credit applies to a phone that (a) runs any verison of Android or iOS, (b) powers on and holds a charge, (c) does not have a cracked or damaged screen), and (e) has only normal signs of wear-and-tear. I confirmed with the CSR that any phone that meets these requirements would work, no matter how old or cheap. I also verified that minor scratches to the phone's screen or body were considered normal wear and tear and would not cause the trade in to be rejected. Finally, I recorded the phone call in case Samsung doesn't honor the trade-in.
2. With the above in mind, I purchased a brand new Alcatel phone from Walmart for $20. (can't post link, too new).
3. I will be sending the phone back to them tomorrow and I'll see what they do.
Other notes from my conversation with the CSR:
* Samsung's return policy is that items may be returned within 30 days. You have 15 days from *receipt* to initiate the return, and Samsung must receive the item within another 15 days.
* Officially, the item must be unopened to receive a full refund. Opened items are subject to a 15% restocking fee. The CSR told me that is is noramlly uncommon for Samsung to charge the restocking fee for items (even opened ones) that are returned in excellent condition, with all original accessories.
So far I like the phone, but not sure if I will be keeping it or exchanging it for a normal S8. I'm also not thrilled with the absence of a way to unlock the bootloader. This is my first experience with a Samsung phone and I kinds of just assumed that like my ZTE, an unlocked, non-carrier phone would have the bootloader accessible.

Pixel 3a - Why Bite? And Epecially in The US?

In the case of the Pixel 3a, it is basically the Return Of Nexus - remember the Nexus 5 and even Nexus 6? The Pixel 3a has been showing up with some jaw-dropping price tags - as low as (don't faint) $299 unlocked/no carrier. (That is a price I saw with my own eyeballs.) This is pricing I have not seen as of late without substantial compromises. While the 3a has compromises, they aren't the ones you would expect.. While it doesn't support wireless charging, it *does* support fingerprint unlocking (coming from the S7 - which also supports fingerprint unlocking, this is one feature it would have hurt to lose. While it lacks wireless charging(which the S7 Snapdragon supports), it is also a feature I do not use. It still supports USB charging - though it does trade in USB A for USB C (it does include the proper cabling, though) - therefore, it's a quibble. The features it lacks are ones I didn't use - and some of the features it has (the camera, for example) are - quite bluntly - overkill. Despite the $299 price, it is nearly too MUCH phone - which I'm not used to even thinking - let alone saying - for a phone at this price aimed squarely at the US.
I ordered mine (at $399). I am betting that the $299 figure is if you are trading in a phone. I am not doing that. $399 is a good price point. I would have paid another $50 if they had decided to make the battery removable. I should be getting my phone tomorrow. Hopefully the rootz start soon!
Our family is getting two, basically for free, from T-Mobile, for my daughters, and I'll probably be getting an aXL for myself.
Excellent replacement for an ageing OG Pixel and a quirky as heck and frustrating S8., and the aXL will make an excellent backup device for me.
This phone makes a heck-of-a-lot of sense to me. First, average consumers will have access to a better camera than the iPhone at roughly half the price. For too long, I avoid recommending Android to eager iPhone users because most Android cameras suck on mainstream phones.
Second, I don't think wireless charging is deal breaker for most (and it's not for me). I'd much rather have quick charge than slow wireless charging.
Finally, the CPU is a Snapdragon 6xx, but I don't think the average user would notice one bit. Maybe here on XDA, we can quibble over the benefits of one CPU vs the next, but for average daily use, I don't think anyone will notice (except that the battery will last longer)
I think the price at $400 for possibly the best camera on the market with a nice big notch-free screen, USB-C, good battery life and timely Android updates could be a big reason this sells well (if they actually market it)
I think this is going to be my Moto G5+ replacement. I'm tiring of the subpar camera.
After regretting paying 700 for a S7 3 years ago, i'm just done paying that much for a phone. This is exactly what i'm looking for. For those that want better CPU/RAM/SD card slot, you can pay just a little more for a OnePlus 6T. I don't like that the 3a is limited to 64GB of storage with no SD, but in all honesty I don't see that as a real world issue as I rarely if ever find myself needing the extra storage I currently have.
I'm 100% confident root solutions will come quickly too.
My Droid Turbo is definitely showing it's age but Felipe's ROMs and kernel have kept it going. I'll miss wireless charging but gain a great camera. Other options include a Mix 3 which seems appealing save for MMS issues with Verizon, OnePlus 7 if I can limp along until then or hope for another Pixel 3 discount. Replacement displays and other hardware should be much less expensive for the 3a down the road than the other options.
Good news, someone on reddit just confirmed that the bootloader can be unlocked the same way as all previous Pixel phones. Let the games begin!
Why? A great camera is my #1 priority, and #2 is rootable/ROMable because I keep my phones for more than 2 years and want updates. I'm not going to pay Pixel 3 type of prices.

BTW, just saw the $299 price, it's on BestBuy if you activate the phone "today" on Sprint. $350 if you activate on Verizon or AT&T. Anyone saw trade-in deals?

I don't lend any legitimacy to prices through carriers other than Google itself. I know with Sprint, you are paying a price to LEASE the phone and then have to pay to own it at the end of that lease (usually 2 years). I would rather pay my $399 and own it outright without having to pay anything else later.
The unlocked version at Best Buy is not discounted, however, they're offering a $100 BB gift card with purchase, so I just pulled the trigger on the XL and I'll be picking it up today. I'd rather have $100 at BB than $100 at Google Play Store, which Google is offering as well.
I looked at the Google store and it looks like I will effectively be getting it for $299 since I will get a $100 fi credit after I activate the phone. Can't beat that!
Woohoo, got mine... the direct-connect data sync is pretty sweet. It's still updating my apps but this is the easiest phone transition i've ever done. Decided I won't bother with unlocking the bootloader until i'm ready to root (which I imagine won't be too long)
My daughter was begging for a new phone for her 15th birthday. She's been on iphone forever - hand me downs from her mom. I hate supporting iphones. We looked at the specs on this compared to the xr, and she agreed this one looked good - so we bought one yesterday at Best Buy. I didn't even know it came with a $100 best buy gift card, but I wanted to see it in person before buying (otherwise I'd have ordered from Google), and I'm glad I did.
I have a oneplus 6t; I'm curious to see how this phone compares. I'm so proud my kid wanted to switch to android.

The $299USD hitch is that you activate ASAP with AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint. No transfer or trade-in required. I inquired because I would be coming from Tracfone/T-Mobile - I would be whacked with the $399 (full bill) price tag (Pixel 3a in Just Black)). Still cheaper than even a Galaxy S9 or Note 9 by $200USD - an S10e by $350USD - in Prism Black in either case. Just about half the price of a Note 9 - and *less* than half the price of the floor S10e. And unlike the S10e, the Q beta is an option from the jump.

We're on the fence right now between a 6T or the 3a XL to replace a Nexus 6P--which, with it's second battery, is still working but approaching 4 yrs (purchased first week). Two months ago I bought a MOTO Z3Play to replace my Nexus 5X which had mobo replaced twice. Now (because of the possibility of wifi calling on AT&T prepaid), I wish I'd remembered this phone was coming out. Z3P doesn't have anywhere near the radio I thought MOTO would give me.
Please report back re the 6t vs 3a once you get a chance to get a feel for it. TIA.
(Proud of your kid, too! I keep an iphone SE for wifi calling as our reception on every carrier is often zero in our house.)

Not just those carriers. If you are a FI customer, google will credit you back $100 after you activate. So I am basically getting it for $299 as well.
Getting so good feedback with the 3A's. Hope it's gonna be mostly positive. Crossing my fingers.
I've got a 6T also, had the 3XL when it released but the combo of horrid notch and 1k price point sent me back to OnePlus. This price makes it all more palatable and I did like the software and camera so I'm going it another go. My tracking shows Saturday, I'll try and post after I've had a chance to flog it enough to get a feel for what's on offer.

US Pre-order Waiting Room

Noticed no one's started the US Preorder room yet so figured I would.
Preordered 128gb Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 3 direct from Samsung (educational discount) a few minutes after preorders opened up. Shows right now shipping on the 19th with estimated delivery of the 21st. This is the first time I haven't ordered through T-Mobile (RIP JOD).

U think they'll ship sooner?
Pre-ordered a 128GB Bronze from Tmobile, hopefully they ship early. I remember years ago they used to ship the week before.

With last years note samsung shipped out a few days before T-Mobile. My biggest reason for going direct to Samsung though is that I wanted the Galaxy Watch 3 and didn't want to wait for the phone to arrive before ordering the Watch 3 with the $200 discount.

I'm hoping they do lol the gf got me this phone for my birthday, and the arrival date is a day after.
yeah blah blah blah me too - ordered on day one like all of us impatient blokes and should ship on the 19th here in the US through fedex. the note 10+ shipped right along schedule as it was anticipated last year so hopefully the shutdown won't cause any MAJOR delay in shipping...
Black 512, game controller, and buds live ... unlocked also the first time I've bought a phone straight out, other than the nexus 6p lol
128 Bronze, Watch 3, Buds Live (both black) and a case. Nothing has shipped yet, seems on my invoice all will ship "by" 19th and est delivery on 21st.
Pre ordered my 512Gb black as soon as it was possible. Got a military discount of $108.75, not much but better than nothing. Didn't do a trade in, just paid for it all. About the 4th or 5th one I've ordered direct from Sammy, the others I ordered the T-Mobile variant but I got the unlocked one this time. Less bloat to get rid of and from what I've read it will have wifi calling and volte, only thing missing is video calling and I always disable it via adb anyway. Hopefully will ship before the 19th, don't know but fingers crossed.
128 bronze through TMobile. I have the galaxy buds plus. Thinking about the live. They seem more comfortable I guess. Also does anyone know if you can use an Xbox controller on the note for gamepass? Probably a silly question since you can use it on iOS for apple arcade.

I ordered Verizon Note 20 Ultra 128 GB Mystic White and used my credit on the White Bud lives. Phone and buds have a ship date of Aug 19 but my email states phone will arrive on Aug 21 and buds on Aug 24.. Not sure why that is when both items are on the same invoice and I ordered the day before pre-order opened because of my reservation
Same boat as alphamega. Ordered the verizon N20U, 128gb, bronze, through samsung the day before official release. Shop App says everything is shipping by the 19th, but online it says the phone gets here on the 21st, and the case and buds/uv/charger get here on the 24th. Who knows, I'd guess it'll all change by the time things start moving from warehouses.
Ordered 128gb white with buds live and a case. I wanted to wait to see the watch 3 review before ordering, I will trade in my gear s3 to get $100 off.

This is the first time I also order through Samsung. The JOD plan was asking too much as a down. I did it for the Note 10+ but no way I'm going to do a $550 down payment on it. Like some have said, hopefully we don't see any shipping delays.

Unfortunately, jod does ask for large down payments for new devices. I guess that's what happens the more expensive these things get

Pre ordered through AT&T website with $1000 off with iPhone 7 trade in with upgrade promo. Note 20 ultra 512gb mystic black. And i ordered the watch 3 black 45mm. Let’s hope the phones ship early.

I ordered bronze 128gb with the galaxy buds. Would have ordered different accessories, but it looked like it was charging an extra $50 for them. Got an email later saying they would credit me the $50 but it’s too late to change the order now. Bought from Sammy nearly every year. Note 7 I think shipped a week early. Wish that was the case this time around. Using my daughter’s crappy old iPhone since my son lost his phone a couple of weeks ago. Kids...

I have a friend who has been working there for a while and they feel it's a way to get people off the plans as they can just increase the monthly payment for it. The program was not really sustainable but it was a way to bring customers in. At one point, they had told their reps not to offer the JOD plans unless the customers asked for it. But I knew from the beginning it wasn't going to last.
