There's a thread going with T-Mobile pre-orders in the Q&A forums. I pre-ordered on the 18th, first date it was available. Had an estimated delivery date of the 26th which came and went. My card was just charged yesterday, thinking they will start shipping today or tomorrow. My status is still as backordered.
This whole pre-order thingy is whack, should have just waited till Wednesday and gone in to get the N3 and Gear watch same time.

I pre-ordered on the 19th. My cash was held on Friday but I haven't received any shipping info. I've called in asking for the status and was told they won't ship anything until the 2nd. I'm thinking I should have just gone into the store since I ordered ground shipping and will have to wait that long now. Kinda sucks.

I feel yall...whats the damn benefit of preordering if you get it when the stores get it...hell you could save on the shipping cost...COME ON T-MOBILE

Now that you mentioned shipping that just made me more upset, $25 overnight shipping to get it maybe 1 or 2 days later than stores? WTF....
Also if there is a problem with the device, ordering in the store is MUCH easier because you can just walk in and swap it out. Online orders you have to ship it back to them, wait up to a week for them to look over it and hope they don't lose it (they lost my S4 for 3 weeks in their receiving warehouse) then mail you out another and you get charged $5 for a "swap" fee.
Top it off, you can't cancel the order once you pre-order it. This whole pre-order thingy stinks of BS. T-Mobile rep said to wait for it to ship (whenever that will be) then wait for the UPS man and refuse delivery, that's the ONLY way to cancel it. You'll lose your shipping charges too. Nice eh?
I forgive them though, they did get my LG G2 delivered to me 2 weeks before the store release date. =)

I had to order mine online to quality for my promotion (10% off service and $50 account credit). It also claims I'll have 2-4 days to wait for it (free shipping, no expedited option was available). I'm willing to be patient to save $218 over the course of two years, though

Went to the closest T-Mobile store yesterday. They will start selling them tomorrow. They will only get 8. The sales rep said I should be there as early as possible. I will have it first thing in the morning.

I called 5 stores and visited one in person on Monday. All the stores have them in stock and go on sale Wednesday. I didn't hear anything about low stock from any of them. Most likely the rep just wants to get you in there asap to get a commission, lol. I had one rep badger me to sign up with service now, then come back and buy the phone on Wed, lol.

I'm in SC and will also pick my note 3 up tomorrow around 10am we they open. And my area has 2 locations each with only 8-10 black in stock.

I was also planning to pick it up in store, because the preorder didn't really seem to have any advantage to it.
I did some calling around, and it does seem that each store isn't getting too many units. My local retailer is
about 10 minutes away (running), and it opens at 10 AM. I'm also actually a college student, and I have a calc. lecture
until 9:50... I'm really tempted to leave class 20 minutes early. haha. Is it worth it?

The T-Mo Corp Store I work in as a RSA got 15 of the black only. We do not have a Demo phone to show customers. I will be buying my phone tonight before I leave the store. Most of the stores that I talk to got under 15 some got demos some did not. My store has never sold out of a Galaxy phone on day one.

G2 using Slim Bean

Well I have had mine since 1034am and so far I'm not liking it as much as the mega 6.3. It's basically the same size as the note 2 the no big difference there. There is auto correct while typing. It is rooted however the system is keeping certain root apps from working, such as wifi trevE mod which I still haven't figured out. Anyone that has a work around on the wifi trevE mod please by all means help me out with a link & screen shot of the settings. Thanks in advance.

I wish I could get one but I am going to keep this 32GB for a while it seems to be enough

I am on the phone with them now to try and get them to let me upgrade the memory on my replacement phone.
They can't get me a code to upgrade the memory at the moment, they claim they don't have any 64GB redemption codes for replacements. They are supposed to be getting them but don't know when, only thing I can do is get a full refund on my original purchase and then buy the 64GB. Problem with that is I bought the phone with a cyber Monday coupon code so I would be losing a lot of money on that deal.
I will call them back next week to see.

Not in the UK.....Yet?

They will not let me pay the $50 extra and get the 64GB as my replacement phone, they say there is no way for them to do that. Only option is to fully refund first purchase, which they were not originally going to do because it is now out of the 14 day period (I began the process within the 14 days though).
I cannot do this because I used a cyber Monday code and they cannot give me any type of coupon code to get that type of discount on my new order if I were to go that route.
So it looks like I can either completely return the phone for a full refund or just get another 32GB replacement and call it a day.
Oh well, I tried.

When I needed to get the screen on my AT&T 16gb repaired, Motorola took forever getting it back to me which they compensated with a new 32gb replacement and accessory code. I got a Pure Edition with the Black Friday code that I had to rma because the power button; 26 days later, I don't have my Pure just another accessory code. Maybe I'll get lucky again and they'll bump up me up to a 64gb.

I called three times and spoke to three different people, I believe it was in the order admin department, and two of them said no way no how is it going to happen. First person I spoke to said he thinks its possible but needed a special code that did not exist. I have emailed the first person back but never got a response, the email he sent me wasn't from a personalized email address though. I gave up trying and just used my pin to replace my phone with the same gb version.

If I don't hear anything from Moto today I'm just gonna get a refund or a 360 and other stuff. I have 4 other phones that work well so I don't need another.

Just ordered my 64GB Pure Edition this morning! If it hadn't been for this thread I wouldn't have noticed it.

Congrats! I just wish the 64 was available when I used the cyber Monday coupon, that would have been awesome.

What's up with the price of the 64GB option jumping way more than $50? I choose 32GB, and it says $449. OK. I choose 64GB, and it jumps to $599. A $200 jump from the price of the 16GB, not $100.
Anyone know what's up?

Last week the Samsung eBay page had the S8 and Plus for $599 and 699, but by the time I went to order, only had the Plus. After using it a few days, but a bit too tall and heavy for my liking, so sending it back.
I ordered the S8 from Samsung yesterday using the $200 trade in and free 2 day shipping. It also said backordered, but did ship out a few hours later for delivery tomorrow.
The oldest phone I have here is a Verizon Note 2, so I'll most likely sent it in for the tade, as they are only selling for about $100.
So in the end, would go from $740 for the S8+
(including tax) on eBay to $450 for S8 on Samsung.com. I know I could of done the S8+ for $100 more, but opted for the slightly smaller model.

Seems this is a trend, price is high in the first few months and then it drops, same thing happened with the s7.

I did! I sure hope I don't get ripped off.

Yep, I ordered the unlocked version yesterday, but it's backordered. I figured that I'm never going to get $200 from my LG G5 unless I take them up on this.
Anyone care to comment on how long you've been backordered? I'm a bit concerned about this arriving when I'm out of town in a few weeks, which reduces the time I have to transfer and then ship off my trade-in.

So the trade in for the Sprint only accepts Samsung phones, not any phone for $200 like some of the other carriers. If I trade in my HTC 10 for the Verizon version of the S8 would I be able to follow the carrier switch guide and activate it on sprint?

Got my shipping notice today. That was 9 days, I think.

I ordered on the 20th and got it on the 22nd, even though it said it was backorder.

Ordered on the 19th and received it 2 days later.
Traded in my wife's Verizon S6 for the unlocked version for $454.xx

Mine shipped yesterday, and should arrive on Monday (July 3). I hope they take my Samsung Galaxy S (AT&T Captivate). Perhaps they can put it in a museum. It meets every qualification I can find, as it holds a charge and the screen is in perfect shape.

Same here. With 1200 points ($6 LOL) I just squeaked under $1k out of pocket after taxes. That's a whole lot of greenbacks AFTER turning in a hardly used Note 10+ 512GB.
I saw Flossy Carter's unboxing vid last night and noticed it did NOT include the 45W charger. Pretty lame considering the asking price.
p.s. I got everything in black, phone, Buds+ and the rugged carrying case. I had like $10 extra in store credit but let it go as there was nothing more that I felt like putting it towards. The 1200 points I believe was from the Note 10+ I bought prior. This order gave me 1730 ish points. Not even enough for a whopper meal. Oh well...

$50 off at Best Buy is when you activate at time of purchase. Have to activate through carrier account. Not worth the trouble particularly if the number is on an esim of another device. I always get unactivated unlocked and toss in my SIM of choice. Matter of personal preference.
Then, of course, there is the issue with Best Buy screwing up orders, doing in store pick up and going to the store on release day and there's no phone to pick up!

1st time pre-order from Samsung. What's nice is the instant $600 trade in for my pixel4xl. It also knocks down price instantly saving some more $ on tax. Free buds and flip cover too. Pre-ordered the 512gb/16 gig ram Ultra through Tmobile and added an extra line (S20 in blue) to take advantage of their BOGO (up to $999) promo.
Here's where things get murky and maybe someone can clarify:
I am trading in my Note 9 which they will be giving me $500 in an e-virtual card. I also qualify for the Samsung credit ($200 for the Ultra and $100 for the S20) for a total of $800.00
So, with the free S20 ($999), $500 trade in (Note 9) and the $300 Samsung credit I will be receing a total of $1799 off the two phones.
Am I missing anything else with T-Mobile? Only reason I ask is because the rep I spoke to said I would be getting a 215 trade in credit monthly for the line with the Ultra phone. Then she says I will be getting a $500 virtual card that I can use to pay towards the equipment.
To me it seems like a really good deal. With tax I'm pretty much getting the 2 phones for about $1250 after you add the $10 a month for the extra line (which I still have a S9+ that I can always use as my new landline at home).

I got the unlocked 512gb version. Only comes in black so I got black. Traded in my Note 10+ + got the $235 credit with which I got the buds and some case I'll never use, lol

yeah I ordered the the Black 512gb/16gb tmobile from Samsung`s website at 12:08 am this morning, I originally did the reserve pre-order thing, and got another 35.00 plus the 200.00 towards something at check out, so I selected the active watch 2 44mm aqua black, with the white galaxy buds+, which I`ll probably just turn around and resell the the buds., also I did the trade in for pixel 4 xl for 600.00., also the 35.00 credit I got later in a email from samsung so I can use it on there site for accessories

Phone looks okay but I will stick with note 10+ it's not worth the extra money

For you maybe. Camera is way better than 10+, 120hz screen is way better, and flatter screen. So IMO much better.

Yea by noon, the 512 gb Ultra for TMobile was sold out on Samsung.com 128 was still available.
Unlocked version had both 128 and 512 versions. Imo the Ultra 512 gb will be on backorder for awhile until the demand dies down.

From what I have heard maybe a day or two Max.

Preordered S20U 128 gb in the at&t flavor. I need the branded version, I make good use of wifi calling. I'm in some areas with poor or no service and wifi calling is awesome. It works on my unlocked Pixels but has never worked on an unlocked Samsung phone.

With last years note samsung shipped out a few days before T-Mobile. My biggest reason for going direct to Samsung though is that I wanted the Galaxy Watch 3 and didn't want to wait for the phone to arrive before ordering the Watch 3 with the $200 discount.

Pre ordered my 512Gb black as soon as it was possible. Got a military discount of $108.75, not much but better than nothing. Didn't do a trade in, just paid for it all. About the 4th or 5th one I've ordered direct from Sammy, the others I ordered the T-Mobile variant but I got the unlocked one this time. Less bloat to get rid of and from what I've read it will have wifi calling and volte, only thing missing is video calling and I always disable it via adb anyway. Hopefully will ship before the 19th, don't know but fingers crossed.

I ordered Verizon Note 20 Ultra 128 GB Mystic White and used my credit on the White Bud lives. Phone and buds have a ship date of Aug 19 but my email states phone will arrive on Aug 21 and buds on Aug 24.. Not sure why that is when both items are on the same invoice and I ordered the day before pre-order opened because of my reservation

Same boat as alphamega. Ordered the verizon N20U, 128gb, bronze, through samsung the day before official release. Shop App says everything is shipping by the 19th, but online it says the phone gets here on the 21st, and the case and buds/uv/charger get here on the 24th. Who knows, I'd guess it'll all change by the time things start moving from warehouses.

Ordered 128gb white with buds live and a case. I wanted to wait to see the watch 3 review before ordering, I will trade in my gear s3 to get $100 off.

This is the first time I also order through Samsung. The JOD plan was asking too much as a down. I did it for the Note 10+ but no way I'm going to do a $550 down payment on it. Like some have said, hopefully we don't see any shipping delays.

Unfortunately, jod does ask for large down payments for new devices. I guess that's what happens the more expensive these things get

Got an email later saying they would credit me the $50 but it’s too late to change the order now. Bought from Sammy nearly every year. Note 7 I think shipped a week early. Wish that was the case this time around. Using my daughter’s crappy old iPhone since my son lost his phone a couple of weeks ago. Kids...

Unfortunately, jod does ask for large down payments for new devices. I guess that's what happens the more expensive these things get

I have a friend who has been working there for a while and they feel it's a way to get people off the plans as they can just increase the monthly payment for it. The program was not really sustainable but it was a way to bring customers in. At one point, they had told their reps not to offer the JOD plans unless the customers asked for it. But I knew from the beginning it wasn't going to last.
