But this one has doorstep servicing

That's true but there still is a small amount of risk.
My friend bought a canvas nitro and found out that it was missing a few sensors even though they were displayed on the box. He got it replaced with great difficulty.

Thanks for the information

Looks good on paper. (Except the screen size)
Mainly the 2gigs of LPDDR3 and the ARMv8 MSM8939 looks promising. If anyone here gets the device, post some camera samples.

The phone looks decent in the video reviews for its price. But flagship killer is not the apt word, since it cannot compete with the flagships.
Idk what you really mean about low range flagships.... coz flagships are always high range
Remember, this is just a rebranded coolpad f2 4g clone, so i dont expect it to be good qualitywise. I am looking forward to reviews after long term use
Good think you guys have a official xda thread, expect new developers to pimp out this phone with cool new ROMS !!

Question
How is possible for MMX to price this phone for 9000 this should be 15 k to be honest given the specs and 4G

Now smartphone market is going cheaper. With cyanogenmod.

Agreed. OP should really change the title to something like Is YU Yureka the new affordable King of midrange smartphones? or, if you really wanna go overboard Is YU Yureka the newest and most affordable Nexus for the masses?
The company really is called YU not Micromax (although started by Micromax founder) and, it is a midrange smartphone with a budget range price.
This is Micromax straight up copying device specs and marketing strategy from Google/Motorola (Moto G/E) and OPPO/OnePlus (One) and Xiaomi (Redmi Note) etc. If they execute properly, this could repeat the Moto G's success. They really should have gone with a 4.5"-4.7" screen (ok, maybe 5" max because India is their main market), bigger battery and, paid deep attention to getting the camera right.

At Rs.15k, it will be closer to the OnePlus One's price and that is a better smartphone. It will also have to fight with devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note and the Moto G (which has good quality and support in it's favour but lesser specs). Also last year's Moto X was going for Rs.17k....
Nope. Much safer to jump below Rs.10k for now...

[Info]Galaxy S4 is coming ...don't go for any other phone.

According to an article in Korea times ...s4 will be released in Feb 2013...so most of us who did not upgrade to galaxy s3 should wait about 6 more months to get the most powerful beast in our hands...
http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/tech/2012/09/133_120024.html
This is to destroy the so fana iphone 5 benchmark im sure ,! But please not too big Samsung !
Envoyé depuis mon GT-P3113 avec Tapatalk
If they go for anything larger than the S3 they can forget about me buying that.
S3's size is utterly ridiculous (can't find many people who can 100% interact with it with only one hand), anything larger that that will be just sad.
Only thing left is to pray to the electronics god that Google makes their next Nexus in the size of the current one / S2's! can't imagine a better phone size, bigger than the tiny iPhone (yea, talking about the new fella) but easy to play with using one hand only.
if only the'll be able to also make it Super AMOLED Plus (like the S2's non-PenTile, but with S3's resolution).
S4 might not have a screen larger than S3 since the current size distinction gives proper difference between the S and Note lines. If size goes beyond 4.8 will impact sales of either of them.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
The more I use my S2..the more I feel it's the perfect size. I had a GNex for a bit and it was just a tad too wide. I think something the size of the s2 with a edge to edge screen would be great.
Yeah then we wait for the S5 next year :banghead: and S6 the year after that
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
S4? U kidding they have to dump a huge number of S3 into market.. After huge success of this they ll plan for S3 with Dual sim then when competitors move to hexa core or jump into 2GB RAM then they start S4 may be,,
My wishlist for S4-
1. Quad core 2GHZ preferably Tegra 3 .
2. 2GB RAM with nVidia GPU.
3. 4.3" Super AMOLED HD display with 720*1280 res (Enough )
4. Design of S2 is must( Best designed phone)
5. Aluminum casing for back cover with S logo.
6. 12 MP camera carl zeiss.. (Nokia Fan)

May I ask, why Nvidia GPU? I should say that most benchmarks say that our mali-400mp4 clocked at 266mhz is just as powerful as the full clocked tegra 3 gpu variant, plus we have a much lower resolution screen than any tegra 3 powered deice I have ever seen, meaning our device can end up playing better games that quite a few of the devices with the tegra chip in it. Like with full effects enabled on dead trigger, it is so much smoother than my nexus 7 with it's gpu overclocked from 416mhz to 520mhz. Personally I would take the overclocked 440mhz mali-400mp4 in the s3 anyday over any nividia GPU. Althoug, the gpu going to be used in some of the new exynos 5 chips which should power the s4, looks incredible.

Pfff......The exynos 4212 and MALI 400MP still kicks tegra 3 a** and the S4 will have a exynos 5250 with mali t604 which is a total BEAST.

Because I saw my friends Nexus 7 which played dead trigger more finely and smoother(Even mine was smoother ) so i thought tegra would be nice. Is S4 confirmed?
Like I give a ****.
Seriously, the longer I wait for Jelly Bean, the more I want a Nexus.
Besides that I hope they won't make the screen any bigger. Otherwise we'll run around with 11" smartphones and 17" tablets very soon.

Dead trigger is optimized from tegra 3 and the mali400 in s2 is a bit weaker from terga 3's gpu

well samsung wants to keep a one year product schedule so its not news, but this reports states the phone will be 5 inches from 4.8, i wonder if the note will be bigger
According to Sammobile latest news, Samsung denied an S IV release in february or march. Link from source: http://sammyhub.com/2012/09/18/samsung-debunks-galaxy-s-iv-rumor/. Another link is http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_responds_to_galaxy_s_iv_rumors_debunks_them-news-4819.php
If someone released a 4inch Nexus with good hardware and a solid build I'd be all over it like a rash.
Instead the phones are getting too big and too ugly. I've never had an iPhone but I can see the appeal. You invest in an iPhone 5 now and you're guaranteed long term software support and your device maintains its value. I'm sick of all these phones coming out that feel outdated and forgotten in 6 - 12 months. Who do you hear saying "don't buy an iphone 5 the iphone 6 is coming out next year".

Sadly you're kinda right.
I've already made my decision. My next phone will be a Nexus, period.
I could forgive the longer wait for updates, if I'd actually use them. At the moment the only reason I'm waiting for updates is because the cm team can make a proper one with those.
There is only one manufacturer that does great modifications to android, but those phones aren't available here. :'(

RAM is only for multi taking really. (random access memory) it would help with opening lots of apps in the background like a desktop, with the 1gb of ram, its not going to matter as much as the GPU has 72 cores, this is how i think of it anyways,

Nexus 6 or not

Well, as I currently have the nexus 4 I was expecting to be getting the nexus 6. However as the leaks suggest the fact that it would have 2K display and have 13mp camera that's all perfect. But it would have the snapdragon 805 which is around 2.7ghz quad core (which is just a speed bump from current flagships that have 801). The only thing it will have is a much powerful GPU which is adreno 420. But in January they will release the Snapdragon 810 which compared to 805 its a beast has a new processor architecture 20nm and would be OctoCore, 64 bit and the ram would be as twice as fast and so many more features. Because this would make the nexus 6 be outdated quickly. So thinking in that way would be a good option to get the nexus 6 or not ? What do you guys think?

First thing, there is always something better round the corner, so when this new chip comes out, there will be an even better one planned for 6 months time. Second, apart from the kick of having the best hardware, would you necessarily be using it?
I say that since the N4 doesn't have 4G (apart from the modem hacks which aren't valid for Europe, where I am). I don't miss it, since I don't have a need for ultra-fast data transmission on my phone.
If you really need/expect to use the possibilities that the hardware enables, if I were you, I would wait until a terminal is equipped with it. If it's not critical, I'd go for either the N6 or an equivalent hi-end Xiaomi or Oppo.

even if the hardware becomes outdated its still going to be strong enough for pretty much anything for couple of years but again If they put **** to mediocre battery life as usual then no thanks
Well it's the "perfect" useless 2K screen that's gonna eat up the battery. I hate QHD on 5-inchers.
You have good valid points but normally Qualcomm have updated their chips at a good rate and considering the fact on estimate around 4 months after the Nexus 6 release the chip would be a big difference in performance in every way and looking at their site. It will also have pretty cool featues

In my opinion it's impossible to talk about buying/not buying the Nexus 6 as long as we have no official specs and before it is released
We need more details about the Nexus 6. Storage availabilities (microSD? I hope, but doubt it), battery size (removable?), etc.

It's been a while since Motorola made a phone with a removable battery, and it's been a while since we've seen a Nexus with one.
My next phone, as soon as I can afford one, will most likely be a Sony Z3 Compact (although I might pick up a second Nexus 4 first). I love using big screens, but I hate carrying one. Months ago I was hoping to pick up a Z1 Compact and a OnePlus One. But life happened, and I can't afford those anymore, and even if I could, the Z3 is out soon, and the OPO...well...'nuff said. I still like the idea of having a smaller phone for daily life, then swapping the SIM to a phablet for gaming at home or reading eBooks. The Nexus 6 or S or whatever they end up calling it might just fill that spot if the price isn't absurd, but that'll probably have to wait until tax season.

[Q] Where should i buy my Galaxy s4, is galaxy s4 the best option ?

OK, i've been looking phones for days and 3 days ago i ordered a Galaxy s4 on Bestbuy for 500 $ ( tax included ).
I was going to buy a factory international unlocked verison on amazon for 350 $ ish , but i saw some bad reviews ( some say it's fake, some say it's refurbished ) and i decided rather just buy from bestbuy but it's been THREE days !!! they havent ship my phone yet.
Do you guys think i should just cancel the order and buy one from amazon or ebay for 350$, but i think those factory unlocked version doesn't have warranty at all !!
I need help !!
s4 its good phone u will enjoy:thumbup: and I always buy international version cos u get updates direct from samsung not from crappie networks

If possible I would say buy a Nexus 5. The S4 is on a slower cpu, and I doubt we will get anything past Android L. The Nexus 5 is a strong device for the price, plus you do get months faster updates. You will probably get a few more updates over the S4. Both have comparable on-screen times despite a slight advantage for the S4. But you can swap out the battery for say a Zerolemon which would give a clear advantage over the Nexus 5. The Nexus 5 should have android L before December. All in all, I'd say go for the newer Nexus 5 for the Snapdragon 800's advantage in raw horsepower for games and general use.
When it comes down to it though go with your gut feeling and what is more important to you.

How does 300mhz fast help.
"If someone helps, never forget to hit thanks ? "
Actually it's an extra 1600mhz total plus an upgraded gpu for better graphical performance, for a lower price. Plus in white it's sexy. I wish I would have gotten a Nexus 5 over the S4, but I was in need of a new phone.

Show me..all i can see is 2.3 vs 1.9 quad core.
Are you saying 400 for each core? :/ and thus 1600 difference?
21% times faster it is. Just that. I cant see how 1.9*121% make a difference.
And then what about the i9500? It has Octacore processor? Will you say it has 1.6*8? Lol.
And please dont forget the camera.

There's 4 cores that means 400mhz per core. Therefore it's an increase of 1600mhz.
Also since the chips are both 28nm and on the same architecture, you can compare the mhz. You can't compare the Exynos soc to a Snapdragon based chip because it's on a different architecture. It's like Amd vs Intel if you know those two.
Both cameras take good pictures. Not a huge difference between the two.

But still the aggregate increase remains 21%.
Maths aint that tough brother. we are talking the same thing.
21% faster with no ext mem support, no IR blaster and tons of other features go missing. And still the wide acceptance and reputation of the S4 stands strong.
Plus here in India the S5 is almost the same price of a nexus 32gb. Why would one go for a "nexus" in that case too.
Plus Why not buy the google play edition Galaxy S4?
Where is the difference now mate? Just a processor. Camera, build quality, vendor reputation.??
Plus a S4 is A S4. Comparing processing speeds of different processors is no harm. Why do people then compare apple with samsung? Apple is still a dual core with a 1gb ram. So why are they bashed for hardware. I havent seen an iphone lag. (exclude i4 i4s)

Stop guys, everyone comes here thinks "Damn, I came in a battlefield?" [emoji14]
Tastes are tastes, everyone of us has different tastes among all other... First, Nexus 5 is faster for CPU frequency and GPU is more powerful than S4 (talking about I9505 that beats i9500), S5 is faster than Nexus 5.
How many guys among you may use Nexus 5 at its higher CPU frequency? How many hours battery lasts?
In my opinion, I used a Nexus 5 (with CM11 as my S4) and found that I can't notice any speed difference in normal and heavy use between its 2.3GHz CPU and my S4 with this frequencies: 1 core 1.67GHz, 2/3/4 core 1.45GHz. Even in games, S4 can run any game for Android without problems.
What about Cameras? What about S4's AMOLED vs N5's LCD? What about display density? And IR blaster?
Nexus 5 is more brute force and developer-like, not the best for multimediality.
S4's cameras shoot definitely better, display is superior, has IR led built-in if you want to command your IR devices like televisions, air conditioners, set top boxes, xbox etc. And it's not all [emoji6]
I was almost selling my device to buy Oneplus One, but I can't because I love my S4 guys, it's too perfect in my opinion.
Don't do always and only the "run for GHz", think about everything else too
There are also tons of other things to say, but it's late here and I'm sleepy [emoji42]

[Discussion] How does the OnePlus X compare to its main rivals?

By rivals, I mean devices (1) in the same size category (~5") and (2) in the same market class and/or spec range, such as:
Nexus 5X
HTC One A9
Motorola Moto G
Samsung Z3/J5/E5
What else?
In this thread, I'd like to avoid discussing larger phones (~5.5") or flagship devices that cost upwards of $400 (The HTC One A9 just squeaks in).
Speaking in broad strokes, given the specs and price it looks like the One X mops them all up in the spirit of the OnePlus One. The Motorola and the Samsungs are similarly priced but seriously lacking in specs. The Nexus 5X and HTC One A9 have equal or better specs, but cost quite a bit more. I'm trying to think of anything close to the value proposition of the X and I'm not coming up with much.
What say ye?
I think that Xiaomi Mi4C is pretty good competitor. Dimensions are almost the same. Mi4C has a bigger battery, a bit faster processor (SD808), usb type-C and IR blaster. However, OnePlus X has Amoled screen and sd-card slot (and 800Mhz LTE for EU users). I think that OnePlus X has also better OS and perharps longer update support.
Does it have to be a 2015 release? Expanding the base:
LG G2/Nexus 5: very similiar size + NFC + 32GB base but lacking sd expansion.
Xperia Z3 Compact: smaller screen + body with mostly similiar specs.
Galaxy S5 - ugly but is an otherwise functional phone at a good price

+1 I think former flagships are a great alternative, since most of them continue on to become great mid-range phones.
Unfortunately, the Nexus 5 isn't available new anymore, except for the occasional eBay auction.
The Xperia Z3 Compact clearly isn't a ~5" device.
LG G2/G3 can be considered as rivals too !
No LTE in USA!, fingerprint scanner, nfc, ois....what is oneplus thinking? With this trend of lacking necessary features and increasing prices, it's doubtful oneplus will ever be more than a small player.
i would say Mi 4C would be the main competitor, with SD808, Wifi AC, bigger battery, and IR Blaster in its favour
OPX has AMOLED, Metal build, and MicroSD in its favour though
i would say the bigger battery and Wifi AC will hurt the OPX more than the chipset difference, apparently SD808 and SD801 CPU performance is about the same, though Adreno 418 is about 20% better than 330, even though Adreno 330 is "enough" for 1080p screens (quotation bcz enough is very subjective)
I'm having a real struggle here :/
Mi4c is missing band 20 LTE which rules out O2 in the UK
Sent from my One using Tapatalk
It's missing the LTE bands 12 and 17, which means it's a lousy phone for 4G networks in USA. At this point, it's still a better deal overall to just get the old OPO in the USA.

What should I pick between one plus x and Moto x play, the price is almost the same. For performance the one plus should be better but the battery life on the x play should be amazing.. I don't know what to chose.

Plus x has SAMOLED , which is a strong point in itself. Also, SAMOLED means more battery life.

Oh that's right. However, I am on AT&T network, so I care only about the band 17 right now, which OnePlus One supports. Anyways, with crippled LTE band support, the X is kind of a lousy proposition IMHO.

In my opinion, the Asus Zenfone 2 and its derivatives is definitely a rival. My understanding is that the Intel-based Asus Zenfone 2 has very good SoC performance, probably above the Snapdragon 801, but below average battery life, screen brightness, and camera software. The Snapdragon 615 based Asus Zenfone 2 Laser has average SoC performance, but better battery life and better camera (screen is the same). Considering that both Zenfones start at $200 and have proper LTE support, they're definitely in the game. Moto G falls approximately into the same performance bracket at Zenfone 2 laser (actually slower a bit), but has class leading battery performance.
Another possibility, why not consider some of the discontinued Snapdragon 800/801 based smartphones? Considering the Snapdragon 808/810 fiasco, I think those are well worth checking out. For example you can find on eBay NEW and unlocked LG G2 (SD 800, no sd card) for around $160, Nexus 5 (SD800, no SD) for $180-200, LG G3 (SD 801, sd card) for $230, or Samsung Galaxy S5 (SD801, sd card) for just under $300. All of these roughly fall into the same performance bracket at OnePlus One/X, but offer specific versions with the LTE Band 17 used by AT&T in USA that the OnePlus X lacks.
And finally, speaking of Nexus 5X, early reviews suggest it's not all that great or the kind of a diamond in rough that Nexus 5 or OnePlus One used to be, in part thanks the slow storage performance because of the new encryption scheme and once again thanks to the SD808. Considering the price of the base Nexus 5X, I think you could do better with buying a OnePlus 2, which has all the same specs but more memory and slightly faster SoC.
Anandtech has a very thorough review of 5X:

I can attest to the Zenfone 2 Laser's battery life. It has an insane capacity! One of my friends just bought the ZF2 Laser, and he constantly gets around 9-10 hrs SoT. And it's not even as if he keeps the screen on doing nothing, he puts it through light to moderate usage - playing light games, browsing, whatsapp, etc with wi-fi on the whole day, but the damn thing just keeps on going!
As far as the performance is concerned, the SD410 is doing a very satisfactory job. So far I've not seen any slowdowns/lags/stuttering whatsoever. So its going pretty smooth as of now.
What about the Huawei Honor 7? It has similar specs and also the price is almost the same (at least in Europe - 270 EUR vs. 300 EUR).
While we compare, what is the software update record of Asus, Huawei, Acer etc? I think Oneplus is going to support their devices for longer than any of those
Currently have a Nexus 5, not sure if it was right to "upgrade". Damn I am gonna miss wireless charging
it is not "upgrade". it is a "sidegrade"
The yu yutopia when it releases with SD 810 at the price of ₹21,000 32gb
Stop suggesting 5.5 phablets. This thread is about 5 in Phones.
