About the I9505 - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

im from Israel (Europe) and i need to ask some question ..
i want to buy the I9505 and i dont know if the I9500 is better?
in israel the I9505 is cheaper than I9500. so who is better ?
what i need on my phone is good camera and good battery. im not playing games, only whatsapp, instagram , facebook , listen music and take quality pictures..
in israel the i9505 worth 2370 shakel(NIS) and I9500 worth 2490 .. is it worth to add the 120 shakel to get the I9500 ?
i have now HTC ONE and i didnt like it beacuse of the battery and the camera ! so i want to change it !

I9500 :
- Apparently a Slightly better camera sensor, so better pictures
- GPU does not support OpenGL 3, no issue for any games so far though
I9505 :
- Snapdragon processor, so better dev support, more custom ROM's etc. if you plan to root
- Better GPU than I9500
Battery backup is almost the same on both versions.

Im not plan to change rom
i want the orignal rom
Noticeable difference between cameras? Or both high quality

Have a look at the below thread:

no camera differences....

Really no camera differences to be honest.Indeed the i9500 has a newer model of Camera Sensor but that doesnt mean anything. It's also the camera firmware for the process of the image and if i am right isnt so good on i9500.I vote for the i9505

N900 or N9005?

Hello,
I am aware of the hardware differences between the two models. Fortunately, both are available in my country and I can take my pick. From what I gathered there is absolutely no reason to buy the N900 when the N9005 is available, or am I missing something? Would anyone buy a N900 if they could get the N9005 just as easily?
Thanks,
I had the option to pick either, obviously I picked the N9005 as you should too as you've seen the hardware differences aha.
The only difference that I am aware of is that the N9005 is 4G LTE, whereas the N9000 is not.
I don't have 4G on my current plan at the moment but will be getting it in February.
Exactly, my country doesn't support 4G so that's why. I'll be receiving my N9005 today. The 4K video recording and sd800 are worth the extra 50 bucks. Thanks!
imo really hard to choice. yes 4k recording and snapdragon performance is a huge advantage over 900 one but that sound quality think makes me think again. i dont have 4k display device, my computer monitors are all 1080p like the note3 so i have no chance to watch the 4k videos that a shoot but i will see the sound quality advantage of n900 while listening to music.

dorood bar shoma hamvatan, there is no LTE in Iran so you won't get LTE if you get N9005. but if you get N9005 you will get qualcomm snapdragon 800 CPU which is much more reliable than octa core exynos chipset that you get with N900

More reliable? You base this affirmation on what exactly?

Dear All,
Many thanks for your kind replies.
Let me inform you that LTE is not important for me as it is not supported in Iran.
The most important things for are the CPU power and speed, and usage of battery.
Also, please let me know which of the cpu's are most powerful: exynos or snapdragon?
( I heard that snapdragon is better to develop and support software than exynos. is it true?)
Many thanks for your kind help.

Are any price difference?
n9005 has 4K video resolution (but without image stabilization, so i dont use it)
n9005 has 1080p @ 60fps with digital image stabilization, Making the video very smooth (a little dip in the video quality compared to the 30fps, nothing huge though)
n9005 is the international version so more mods for it.
There are no speed difference.
I read somewhere n9000 is a little better battery wise. ( i am getting 16- 18 hours battery life on a heavy use, or 2 days with light to moderate use with n9005)

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S4 Vietnam Version

hi,
I just wanted to know whether samsung Galaxy i9500 Made by Vietnam is original.
In thier specs it mentions as below,
4.2.2 Jelly Bean
8Mp (acctual) Af + 1.9MP Camera
5.0" Full HD Super AMOLED Screen
1.6GHz Quad Core Processor
Bluetooth S Beam Wifi
Smart LED Screen & High Quality Smooth Touch
Mine is GT-I9505 and also Vietnam but the camera is 13Mp.
Check the CPU(With Antutu For example or ohter application) , you will know if it's a official S4.

[Q] Galaxy s5 camera (isocell) in s4 (mod)

Hello, mates!
I own a galaxy s4, IMO is a perfect device for dimensions, screen, and spaces optimizations.
I don't like s5 form factor, and the only one thing I really miss with s4 is the camera in low light conditions.
Compared with new sensors s4 can't make very good low light pictures, a friend of mine have huawei p7 and I can see that in darkness pictures are much better than mine take with s4!
My idea is to install s5 camera in galaxy s4, I think pinout could be the same (n^ of pins are the same, but I have no datasheets).
It could be a difficult mod because s5 flex cable is not straight like the flex cable of s4 camera:
s4: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/ODcyWDcxNg==/z/5Q0AAOxySoJTRkj1/$_57.JPG
s5: http://www.gigasoftaustralia.com/eBay/portableparts/productphotos/i9600/rcamflex/1.jpg
Probably it's impossible for a lot of reasons (drivers? from galaxy s5 is possible? Fit to the case? Cable?), but I ask because I know someone swapped camera sensors in other devices, and the only thing that makes it seem "old" the s4 is the camera performance :cyclops:

Shoot RAW

Hi there,
As the Camera2 API isn't in the last release of lollipop for the note for (I own the F - European version of it), I was wondering if it was possible to allow Raw (DNG) shooting with a custom ROM or anything else... What do you think ?
Thanks !

I think that no at this moment ......I have N910F too, I swapped from N910C before a 2 days but I am very disapointed with camera on F version. There is a too much noise ....photos from C version are sharper.
I sell my Exynos variant due to CM12 possibility on SnapDragon.
AFAIK the n910f and the n910c share exactly the same sensor. So there shouldn't be any difference. Right on your camera's glass Samsung usually put a little piece of flake which you might want to peel off. Maybe that's what makes your shots blurry. Other than that, it might be software settings (or post-processing in case you are on a different version). But the shots should be identical. Cheer on, at least the Snap805 is the better chipset. This big.LITTLE farce is a joke and on the development side you know Samsung will hold their source codes for months before making them publicly available. I have the n910c and it's not that great.
