ok so it seems that your ADB drivers are not working. So reinstall them. Then download the google factory image and SDK of Google.then inside of the downloaded SDK, open the sdk folder inside then platform tools, there paste the CMD prompt file.then open it. Now you have to follow these steps: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ne...-how-flash-4-3-factory-images-your-nexus.html Now hope you have stock factory image.:fingers-crossed:

what is on the display of your kf ?
kindle fire static or animated or any other display ?
what do you see in device manager ?
sort of adb device ? kindle ?
When you go into device manager on your computer does it have a yellow triangle on your Android device? If it does, you need to install the drivers for it.
I know when I was rooting my device, I needed to keep installing the drivers. Not sure why but I did. Must have installed it about 4 times. Every time an action took place it needed to be reinstalled.

It's stuck on the yellow fire triangle.
In device manager, it is either Kindle (won't let me install drivers for it)
or 'unkown' - again, it won't let me install drivers for it.

I've tried to install the drivers but it always says that it cannot find any drivers in the folder I choose. And I've tried several different versions.
The drivers are in the KFU downlaod. There is a folder for them and you need to manually choose it so it searches there.

The KF auto install drivers. Fixed this by plugging the KF in going to Start>control panel>device and printers> you'll see 'Kindle' at the top>right click>properties>uninstall. Then run the fast boot bootmode 4000.

[Q] MTP USB Device problem

Today, When I connect my Nexus 4 to my computer it starts to install the drivers.
The driver consist of 3 parts, but the last one, the MTP USB device, fails to install. I tried restarting my pc and also tried alternate drivers for Windows 7 32bit.
Anyone familiar with this problem and/or it's solution?

Download and install these usb drivers from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998650.
edit.. oops, seems i cannot read.
Uninstall the drivers that you have already attempted to install. If you want fastboot/adb, install the usb drivers manually linked 2 posts above me. If you want to simply copy files, make sure you have at least windows media player 11 installed and it will take care of the rest.

Easy way... Turn off USB debugging
Better way... Edit the mtp inf file so it works in USB debugging mode too.. U should find the info with a search.
Edit.. Note..you do need windows media player 11 installed on xp for mtp functionality.

same here. Fix?
does anyone know ?
same here but after searching a while and only be able to connect via MTP I found this not a state of the art solution:
I use to rename the file I want to move/copy/paste from xxxx.zip or whatever in xxxx.jpg, even for roms anf kernel
for example I want to copy stremax.zip in my N4 /sdcard/
on the pc just rename it to stremax.jpg
connect via MTP
copy the renamed file to /sdcard
once disconnected use a file manager to rename it to stremax.zip and move/copy/delete or whatever you want
I know, it's rude, some developer is cursing my name, but it works..
other solution is installing airdroid but you need to be on same wi-fi network

[FIX] PC Doesn't Recognize the Phone as ADB Device

1. Right Click on the triangle and select "update driver software."
2. Click on "Browse My Computer"
3. Click on "Let Me Pick"
4. Select something similar to this. Most Probably you'll find this
5. Now select ShenQi and Next (You can use any ADB driver you find, all work)
6. You should end up something similar to this. Now ADB Devices shows up your device and you're ready to go.
Hit Thanks if this helped. :good:
Post any other fixes if you know.

@ahh988
How did you get latest sdk? Any link or something? I tried it downloading from sdk site and it was 1.9 gb big file... I didn't download then.
And moreover I don't know how to use that qualcomm drivers zip.. Please guide as I am also stuck in the same situation as discussed in OP.

I've already tried this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-zuk-z2/how-to/flashing-roms-4-4-x-kernel-qpst-t3866215) but in step 4 you are asked to unlocking the bootlooder and can not be done without the adb commands that require otg. Bricked 950 - QHSUSB_BULK

Greetings XDA!
After a catastrophic failure with WPInternals as I was trying to unlock root, I accidentally got my Lumia 950 hard-bricked.
Device doesn't turn on, even on Bootloader/Recovery, and screen stays permanently dark. Trying to connect it through USB yields only a QHSUSB_BULK device, which I assume it to be far more "bare metal" than any planned recovery option.
So it's hard bricked. What can I do ?
I've tried several thor2 commands (some of them from this forum), with none being successful. As I'm fairly new to all this, it's very likely I messed up in CLI args, or used the wrong files to flash. I was wondering if anyone could be able to guide me through the recovery, along with how to get necessary files for it. It's clear that with all Lumias being EOL'ed by Microsoft, options will be far more restrictive than usual...
Thank you very much in advance!
