Please help regarding custom rom on new device.

I have ordered Redmi 2 Prime for gifting it to my mother,i wanted to ask about flashing of custom roms on this device.
1.At first in order to flash any custom rom do i have to update it to miui 7 first?
2.Which is most stable aosp or cm rom on forum? and what are bugs assosiated with it?There are lot of fix camera etc. threads on this forum what do i have to flash after flashing rom?
3.And can i restore stock directly through twrp backup ?or i have to flash stock using fastboot method.
My xiaomi redmi note is heating like a heater from upside plz suggest some solutions
You can either update the out of box MIUI6 to MIUI7, or start flashing the ROMS straightway.
the ideal steps would be
1.Update to latest MIUI
2.Root,Install Custom Recovery(i prefer flashify, take a backup of stock recovery)
3.Backup using custom recovery.(copy backup to PC/OTG,no need for 32GB cards)
4.flash desired rom.
5.Migrate data using Nandroid Manager/Titanium Backup.
6.If don't like ROM,restore stock from recovery.
7.if you dont want custom recovery too, restore from flashify
8.Unroot
Ta Da,Back to out of the box
My personal recommendation or custom ROMS is RR.5.6.4,no subsequent steps needed(no bugs so far)
Thank you very very much..i will flash custom rom straightaway...what about bugs mentioned in cm 13 thread.I thought that they would be present in all of roms, you cleared it up. Cheers !
Wrong place to post, you should post your query to your devices sub forum.
If its heating up like a heater, switching it off would be a nice way to start off.

Can we use "FlashFire" as an alternative to custom recovery?

I just came across this app , "FlashFire" as a custom recovery alternative for my Myphone Rio2 which happens to run the same chipset, an mtk 6582, since we can't get a stable custom recovery. I learned it from this guy "Greenhacker" which uses the Micromax Canvas Selfie Lens Q345, an oem to my Myphone Rio2, as he used it as a custom recovery alternate, which he used as a tool to flash his ported custom roms.
So I was wondering if we could use "FlashFire" as a custom recovery so we can revive our phone (Xperia E4 Dual E2115) and use some of the latest custom roms available.
I haven't tried any stuff since I'm a noob when it comes to porting and stuff. maybe this is just a concept? will it work I don't know. but can someone try and make it happen. The only stuff I know is that you need to be rooted to make the flashfire working.
ooops I think app is dead ?

Is my phone going to get bricked?

Hello I have Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus that is currently running on Pixel Experience. Before that i had xiaomi.eu rom 10.3.x.x... The latest rom for my phone from official Xiaomi rom site is 10.2.1.0..
Now the question is will my phone get bricked if i flash stock miui rom?
If you have unlocked bootloader, you can flash latest rom via mi-flash tool. It will not brick your device. Redmi 5 plus aka Vince doesn't have ARB feature. So you are free to flash any version of rom as long as your bootloader is unlocked.

Hi! No, in my experience, I used miui and custom roms, flashing it following their respective instructions and nothing went bad. Follow the instructions and you will go ok, but, if you fail, you will learn how fix it too

yes i know that i wont get bricked for using pixel experience... but i had xiaomi.eu rom on it which was higher than the one xiaomi officially provides... I am asking because i noticed that custom recovery said Detected reinstall of bootloader.. and that is not a good sign..

It doesn't matter, every time you install an update of firmware that message is showed, but remember if you come from miui stock or miui based rom, you need to format data

How to fix no sensors working on nubia z11 mini s (stock rom and custom rom)?

Hi, I have flashed custom roms many times on my old phone and also my nubia device. I have flashed android 9 custom roms many times and has worked flawlessly. But this time when i tried to flash the same zip which i had flashed many times, the system booted up, but no sensors were working. WiFi was not working, bluetooth, accelerometer, gyroscope and even flashlight. I kinda freaked out and reverted to the stock rom thinking something might have gone wrong in the custom rom zip. When I reverted, to my dissapointment, almost all sensors were still not working! I tried downgrading and upgrading twrp versions but still no luck. I researched about this and people say it might be due to a damaged persist partition. Hence, I tried to flash the persist.img of my stock rom and it still doesn't work. I noticed that there are persist.zip flashable files for mi devices which seems to work. Is there any similar persist.zip which I can flash on my nubia z11 mini s? Or is there any other solution?
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
