2.Which is most stable aosp or cm rom on forum? and what are bugs assosiated with it?There are lot of fix camera etc. threads on this forum what do i have to flash after flashing rom?
3.And can i restore stock directly through twrp backup ?or i have to flash stock using fastboot method.
My xiaomi redmi note is heating like a heater from upside plz suggest some solutions
You can either update the out of box MIUI6 to MIUI7, or start flashing the ROMS straightway.
the ideal steps would be
1.Update to latest MIUI
2.Root,Install Custom Recovery(i prefer flashify, take a backup of stock recovery)
3.Backup using custom recovery.(copy backup to PC/OTG,no need for 32GB cards)
4.flash desired rom.
5.Migrate data using Nandroid Manager/Titanium Backup.
6.If don't like ROM,restore stock from recovery.
7.if you dont want custom recovery too, restore from flashify
8.Unroot
Ta Da,Back to out of the box
My personal recommendation or custom ROMS is RR.5.6.4,no subsequent steps needed(no bugs so far)
Thank you very very much..i will flash custom rom straightaway...what about bugs mentioned in cm 13 thread.I thought that they would be present in all of roms, you cleared it up. Cheers !
Wrong place to post, you should post your query to your devices sub forum.
If its heating up like a heater, switching it off would be a nice way to start off.

Installing Indian stock ROM on Chinese LeEco Le Max 2

Hi Guys,
Can anyone provide step be step instructions to install Indian stock ROM on Chinese LeEco Le Max 2?
Thanks,
K
Read the step by step instruction on installing a rom, but if you search around you will find that the Indian devs have encrypted the rom so that if you install it, your device won't mount storage. This will in turn prevent you from making changes, installg recovery and flashing rom, as well as SU and other apps that require root.

Is my phone going to get bricked?

Hello I have Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus that is currently running on Pixel Experience. Before that i had xiaomi.eu rom 10.3.x.x... The latest rom for my phone from official Xiaomi rom site is 10.2.1.0..
Now the question is will my phone get bricked if i flash stock miui rom?
If you have unlocked bootloader, you can flash latest rom via mi-flash tool. It will not brick your device. Redmi 5 plus aka Vince doesn't have ARB feature. So you are free to flash any version of rom as long as your bootloader is unlocked.

Hi! No, in my experience, I used miui and custom roms, flashing it following their respective instructions and nothing went bad. Follow the instructions and you will go ok, but, if you fail, you will learn how fix it too

yes i know that i wont get bricked for using pixel experience... but i had xiaomi.eu rom on it which was higher than the one xiaomi officially provides... I am asking because i noticed that custom recovery said Detected reinstall of bootloader.. and that is not a good sign..

It doesn't matter, every time you install an update of firmware that message is showed, but remember if you come from miui stock or miui based rom, you need to format data

Android Q update and Rollback

Hello,
I tried to install a custom rom on my phone, but i never achieve it...
I always stuck on booting screen (soft brick).
So i decided to flash official rom with miflash.
I had a rollback error (rollback version 1).
So i remove the check in the all_flash.bat file
I made the flash successfully.
I tried to install the zip file for android Q and i got this error in picture attached.
looks like current android version is different from that in the recovery package
Any idea how to fix it?
Rollback anti is still 1.
Thanks guys!
There are Global and EEA official Android 10 ROMs. Check if you pick the right version with your actual ROM version.

I think it's not possible to install the eu rom cause it's a beta rom.
Until we get like a version 11.0.4.0 or something Higher i think it's impossible to install.

First custom rom flash help please !

Hi guys,
I am a long time rom flasher. My wife has a Poco M3 (citrus?) and would like to flash it with CrDroid since she's experiencing some lags with MIUI (12.5.8.0 RJFEUXM UI).
I have looked everywhere for hours and still can't figure out answers to these questions, can you please help me ?
- Can I flash CrDroid Android 11 over her curent stock version ? (I just want something very stable and reliable)
- Any better rom (even on A12/13) ?
- Any link for a working recovery ? (can't find that for sure)
- Do I need to flash anything else like vmbeta, verity no encrypt... ?
- Any comprehensive first flash guide even from another thread ?
I want to avoid any bootloops. I have already unlocked the BL via MiUnlock.
Thank you very much for you time
