That is beta 2
EDIT : I guess mine failed and I didn't notice because when it booted up it was still beta 2! I re-downloaded and flashed again and all is good!

I downloaded and installed this. It updated ZTK1, beta 2, to ZTK9, beta 3. So, it is beta 3.

Yeah it's beta3. I checked the update notes and didn't see anything major or groundbreaking yet.

As usual you were so quick to capture it Hayabusa ..Thanks for posting this. .... I did not sideload this time wanted to see if the enrollment worked or not and it did i got the update like 15 mins back... That reminds me if anyone has not been able to enroll in Beta, It might be open right now.

Works great, thank you

The refresh rate is affairs
Adaptive again, throttles down to 60. To me that's worth it to save battery life here and there

I checked and there literally no difference switching the 2. Also I thought it was going to be complicated, the way they had resolution, power mode, and refresh rate tied together. But they have completely undid that. I'm able to change the refresh rate, without changing the power mode, in which I no longer see

Strange, may be something to do with the sim you are using, i am on TMB and i got the update this morning ( 6 am EST). Try looking or it manually like Settings>> Software Update>> Download and Install ..Did you try the other zip file, try that.

I successfully side loaded beta 3 via adb.
Thanks bosses

Mainly typing this to get it on my participated threads so I can download when I get home.
But I hope this fixes a couple of the bugs I'm having with android auto.
But I'm pretty sure it's not going to ?

Unfortunately this update has introduced a few bugs for me. Google maps will not exit navigation from the pulldown menu and I've been getting a lot of screen flickering.

I had that too. it happened when i changed to Gesture navigation. I was able to fix it with cache wipe from Recovery. try that.

Brightness slider on the notification bar

The GS1 and GS2 had the ability to adjust the screen brightness by sliding your finger across the notification bar. I've seen that in some GS3 custom roms, this feature was added. You had the ability to toggle this feature on or off under a certain subsetting in settings.
Is there a way to add this feature without loading a custom rom? I use it every day on my Epic. Thanks
I really miss this option also!
I think the only way we will be able to get this back is through a custom ROM.

not on stock rom =(
This feature alone will drive me to a custom ROM, but only after the capability to wipe flash counter and go back to stock, in case of warranty need.

Had to make mine thicker by sliding the top slider almost halfway. Every thing else I made completely transparent. Its even easier when you see the bar slightly though but I don't like seeing it.

Do you have a version number?
Just checked FUS and it still says that UEBLG5 is the latest.
It's to remove the ability to search the device. Now it's limited to google search.

So has anyone that has received the update been able to confirm the build number, or are these just folks who got an update that's already available (LG5)?

Thanks - so that's the same one that's been out a little while already.
At least for me, it added chrome and made it so that I could change what the screenshot button did. Thank freaking goodness.
My Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 had 4.03 when I bought it. I immediately downloaded the 4.04 update.
The latest update downloaded/installed this morning and I haven't really noticed any difference. Some said it added Chrome browser, but I have been using Chrome on day 1, so it made not difference to me....
There's gotta be some other changes for a 64mb update, no?

APPLE CAN GO [FORNICATE] THEMSELVES!
Before I got this update, I could, from any home screen, simply start typing the name of a song, contact, or some text from an email or sms, with the end result, opening up the typed in content.
Now, anything I type gets queried in Google...... WTF!? Thanks, Apple! (Apple vs. Samsung, Court Trials)
I remember being able to use this feature on my Motorola Q back in the day, before iPhone... what gives? they DID NOT invent universal search!
Is there an APK or zip I can flash to restore this EXACT feature? Is it possible to rip it from a prior update?
UPDATE: Ok I think Ima need some help w/ this, I found an apk, and it looked like the phone version of search, it crashed after typing one letter, consistently... Found some threads regarding Google Now, but I think I'm just looking for local search.. :sigh: 3~Apple

Easiest way is to find a stock ROM package like UEALD3 (P3113) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1763018 and extract the GoogleQuickSearch.apk from the /system/apps folder. Copy this over to your Tab2 (make sure permissions are ok if needed), and you should be ok.

I did. Maybe a little better battery life than BNF2. I noticed that it charges up to 95% and then stops charging. I'm going to take the battery down all the way then recharge see if that has any effect. Other than that, I haven't noticed any difference.

I updated mine. My wifi issues are now gone. Thank goodness. I got a new kid mode, got multi user mode, and it uped my antutu x score almost 1000 points. It did however stopped all my apps from changing anything on the sd card. That includes moving stuff there or to the internal storage. I did get the stock filemanger to do it but none if my dowloaded apps work. So mx player won't delete movies or change names, my file manger that I had been busing no longer works with the sd card and so on. Not a big deal since the stock samsung apps still have the ability. I did have to turn of the device and turn it back on after the update to get that to work though. Not that much of a big deal

I'm at 7:30 into depleting the battery. Heavy use and leaving the screen on and I'm only down to 57%. At this rate, I will wear out before the battery. I can definitely say that BNF3 has much better battery life than BNF2 did.

You could get package disabler, then disable SDM, then restart the device. I did that and it worked. I've always done the debloated ROM tactic in the past, which always removed SDM.apk, but I can't make a ROM without root. Someone mentioned package disabler on here, so I bought it and gave it a shot. It works pretty well. It doesn't remove the apks from the system like a ROM based debloat, but it keeps them from running, which is an awesome feature to have without having root access.

What's your max uptime?

So I think I found a way to actually feel some slow down on my phone. Have an uptime of 4 weeks straight, no restarts, no drained battery. [emoji23] After a quick 20 second restart, it's back to normal. I think I usually get the monthly updates around that length of time anyway. So it's hard to go past 30ish days unless you skip one for a while.

So I think I found a way to actually feel some slow down on my phone. Have an uptime of 4 weeks straight, no restarts, no drained battery. [emoji23] After a quick 20 second restart, it's back to normal. I think I usually get the monthly updates around that length of time anyway. So it's hard to got past 30ish days unless you skip one for a while.

Heh I never make it passed the latest Flash Kernel update.
I restart at least once, if not twice a day
Mostly because of changing substratum themes and a little bit because of OCD lol
I've gotten like 2 or 3 months before on 6p running pure Nexus... I think.
Once every few days because of Adaway or Kernel Updates. With my 6p before you had to restart once every 60 Seconds because this piece of junk was unusable otherwise performance wise.

After every monthly update, otherwise my phone is on 24/7. I think I've only run out of battery life once since getting it that caused a reboot.

Is there a way to check it on Android P? I can't find the option ?
Yeah it appears to be they removed it from the settings. I'm sure there's probably an app but I'm not going to install one just for that. LOL.

Pixel 2 XL, Android Oreo, uptime: 5800+ hours.
System works ok, only camera begin to show some problems (some pictures are blank - not saved - or there is some memory leak / instable or my internal storage is corrupted). But overall, after all that hours i'm very impressed with how well system works.

Eh, i would like to see when system will go down, because of memory leakes or similar. It's really stable, only camera is now pure gamble - i never know if picture will be ok or not (see attachment). I will try to achieve 6K hours (another week and a half), then i will reboot & update the system Only because of camera is now really unreliable, other is fine.

Maybe they'll magically appear on Pie. [emoji23]

No, they are lost, because camera app has a problem. Im gonna unistall/install so maybe this will fix it
Edit: doesn't help. But turning HDR+ off helps. Seems postprocessing not working as it should. Ehhh.
I give up, i need a working camera.

No, still on Oreo. But will flash 5-th or newer beta of Q, just need more free time to do that. Currently i don't have time neither will to cope with that (on vacation).

Yeah I'm liking beta 4 and all the new looks and features especially the gesture navigation. It'll get even more improved with beta 5.

I don't use Magisk so don't know how it's been. Dark Mode is very nice.
