"l'm gonna start a fight", exynos vs snapdragon ? ? ?. - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Guides, News, & Discu

So here we are again. Sammy has released the note 20 series phones and the reviews are quickly rolling in to show that again, the exynos is underperforming, in comparison to the sd+, in terms of 2 most crucial aspects, performance and battery. For how long is Sammy going to get away with this shabby trick, of shoving the exynos down European Market throats?
Exynos or sd, which do you think is better?
https://youtu.be/8hFgvR7k0tY

There is no one here that would argue that exynos is better.

The exynos fans use the dumb argument of Samsung, in normal use no difference, they just don't say that there's no difference in normal use because the average user never will try a snapdragon version [emoji38]

Personally this time round, I ain't falling for it. I I'm sticking to my guns and not buying anything exynos. I've had enough of samsung messing European customers around!

That's my point, it's the Samsung attitude of scamming the euro costumers by selling something less performant for the same price that annoys me, and does not fit in my mind lol
But apart the first month's of s20 series where you can fry a egg on exynos [emoji23], they are right...99% of the users doesn't see any difference. Its just the attitude.

I am also giving the Exynos chipset a miss here in South Africa! A way of protesting.

Go in wandamobile or others and buy a compatible snapdragon that works in your network [emoji23][emoji23] like that you can force Samsung to see the s#it they are doing and pay the fees to Qualcomm, is what I'm gonna do here in Switzerland [emoji14] [emoji23][emoji23]

So in SA they're also selling the exynos chip?

Did that for the Note 10+. HK version. full compatibility here in SA including Samsung Pay but for some reason unknown to me HK gets updates last! Still on June 2020 software.

Yup! At least this year it is dual sim unlike the Note 10 + launch last year.

Exynos is rootable and cheaper. Although the SD looks dreamy.

Cheaper for Samsung... the customer pays the same for 20% less performance in some devices lol
Root is something I stop doing since s7 edge.

My N20 Ultra Exynos varient was fine with battery and wasn't warming up however I'm not a gamer and gave me a full days usage to how I used it but for some reason it wasn't holding onto signal very well at all.
Tried all types of troubleshooting.
I ended up arranging for Samsung to collect it as I have a 28 day cooling off period to change my mind.
I'll then have to await a refund and then consider trying again.

I'm not heavy user mainly social media few photos bit Netflix or prime video don't game tbh
And having to plug in around T time just to last the evening stint about standard for 4500mAh battery I've experienced on most phones with same mAh batt only had 48hrs so hoping it will improve but should have had a 5000+ mAh in my opinion

For such a expensive phone the compromise one has to endure for better battery life 60hz WQHD/FHD+ is pretty lame switch to FHD+ 120hz and watch that [emoji367] drain and still laggy at times even with that enabled you would of thought samsung would of learnt after S20 ultra
Bigger battery + 120Hz @ WQHD is a must if want to compete with the find x2 pro that can do that oh Yr coz it has a SD and not some crappy exynos we get fobbed of every year with how about for once give the uk the SD as well , seriously considering sending it back in my 14 day window whats the point of these features if they degrade battery so much to use them waste of time , sorry rant over now

I buy my s9+ snapdragon and will do the same with note. Exynos never since s7 edge.
For the same price or cheaper we get better performance. This Samsung policy of double SoC is just annoying.

Hi,
My battery was OK but not any better than my 1 year old N10+ 5G. I had more battery % left on the N10+ by the end of my day which is from 5am to 9pm as I turn my phone's Off overnight and charge up no matter what battery % I have left.
Maybe It has to do with the 120hz adaptive refresh rate and or the Exynos Chipset in my opinion after my own personal experiences and reading other people's findings including how JerryRiggEveryrhing changed cooling systems around in both N20 Ultra varients which didn't make that much of an difference i.e didn't improve how the Exynos Chipset performed.
It's confusing as even some Snapdragon owners are reporting battery issues.
I get that the battery optimises and learns but it also should give good screen time out of the box and then improve from usage and via updates from Samsung.
I did put some apps to sleep and some to deep sleep and disabled any google service / app and Google Chrome app i could which is what I do with all my phones. I also turned Off 5G as I can't use that connection type.
For me signal was becoming an issue which some other owners have experienced too. I had no warming up issues either.
So my N20 Ultra is being collected this week under the 28 day No Quibble returns period and then await a refund and start again.

In Settings - Connections I have the option to change from 5G/4G etc to just 4G/3G etc but I'm in the Uk and I'm aware not all Network's globally allow this.
Yes the signal bar is to give an indication of signal but even when using the same sim card in other phone's which provided good connection and using other sim cards in the N20 Ultra it gave poor quality connection.
Other people in these areas on the same Network had no issue's so I couldn't put it down to masts.

May be phone is defective try to replace. for me I never faced any of this issues.battery is amazing getting 3hr sot for 30% usage.

Not so very satisfied = back in the box

I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed.
Having used an 810 phone before I somehow thought that the slowdowns of the M9 was a HTC thing but it's comical how identical the Z5c and M9 behaves when using the phone playing games etc. HTC fixed most of the problems with updates and my hope was that Sony should have learned by what other oems had done before releasing a not so very optimized base.
My first Z5z was a white one and the screen froze so I changed to a black one. A couple of days ago I noticed that pictures taken is really blurry in the left corner. The thing also slows down pretty bad after a while and the camera easy takes 5-6 seconds to start up if not already in memory, not an easy thing to do with only 2gb of ram and an unoptimized base.
The same goes for the phone app and first I thought that I had got another one with touch errors.
And... It's not a faulty phone, it's a good one out of the last batch. I noticed I've started to enjoy my G4 again, it have never felt so snappy and I can live the subpar battery.
Well let's put it in the box and wait for the next update.
I have to say that I'm a little worried about the Nexus 6P. Being a Nexus there will be great kernels and we can always redo the 810 to a 808 with a better gpu and far less constraints.
End of rant...
Skickat från min LG-H815 via Tapatalk
I'm not satisfied particularly with the camera.
Yeah, the free RAM is so poor. And the performance (which is REALLY ACEPTABLE) is lower than the Nexus 5 (with 5.1.1), probably because of the free RAM. (This could be fixed with a future update).
I consider that the "average camera" (according to some users) of the Nexus 5 is much better. Well, at least with photos took with a 15cm-25cm distance (HDR+ in the 5). There is a big difference in quality. (And I tried with Superior Auto / Manual / 20MP / 8MP / etc).
Best of the Z5 Compact: The battery life (It doubles my previous phone SoT over the whole day) and The fingerprint sensor. Rotation works really fast too. I didn't try the GPS but I tried to lock indoor pretty good
(In the contrary: My N5 GPS really sucks soo bad. I compared it with a Moto G 1st gen GPS last year and lost in every way).
The Z5C temps are so good compared to my Nexus 5 (never pass 50C while in the N5 I'm usually throttling the phone at 60C+, but don't forget it has a 2.3Ghz CPU it's easy to throttle that with intensive usage, touchboost, etc).
I'm expecting an OTA in the Z5 Compact. Our kernel is from the 2nd of September. I think I have 30 days to return it to Amazon. But so far I'll be coming back to the N5 and probably buying a 5X (and a hand enhancement "Deus Ex" style in order to be able to use it with one hand LoL).
I think the problem with throttling is that Sony tries to keep the phone to cool really. Playing a game will throttle within 10 minutes. The same game on G4 never goes into throttling, it's just the 810s that behave that way so far. The S6 also gets there, but it takes way longer and it will not be as notable.
Yes, an update or two is in order. I hope they will put camera, gallery and core apps in memory or at least give them way higher prio .
Skickat från min LG-H815 via Tapatalk
Yes I think there is a mayor preference over the lower 4 cores, to save temperature (more than battery life).
But I think the bad performance is generated by bad RAM management, there is no way this phone has only 600-700MB~ of Free RAM, sometimes just 400MB.
If you installed Android 5.0 with memory leaks (not 5.1.1) in the Nexus 5 (and your ram is reduced below 600-700MB after a few days or a few memory leaks reproductions) You would see a reduced performance in general.
The Z5 Compact should have more than 1GB or 1.1GB of Free RAM (in general) like the Nexus 5.
Not just 700 or less MB.
And here is the 2nd reason I think I'll come back to a Nexus: "I think there are a lot of Sony processes/libs/etc hidden under the carpet and consuming a LOT of RAM".
Regarding the kernel performance, I wouldn't worry about that. While it is something that can be fixed with a custom kernel, I think that Sony will tweak and optimize our kernel in future updates.
Well just like i said go watch some IFA video's of the z5c and you will see it run good and without problems so this will all be fixable with updates.

Yea and those IFA models where running on a lower fw build also so its weird that sony releases this kinda laggy update. But maybe they didn't want to put in much time into this update and rather put all their focus on the marshmellow update that should be out next month.
Possible, I also imagine there was only a very few apps installed at IFA. Still a shame, a phone app taking well over 5 secs to open or the world's fastest focus in the slowest camera in the business. It's a bit of a catch 22 and I really don't think Sony can afford a low reputation at this point. For the premium money asked the ware should really be premium. Right now it's a rip off, my half price Chinese knockoffs is as good, but not water ? proof

Ok, many people say it fix when Sony update firmware but my question is why Sony release their flagships when these defects. They don't try their devices? They have hurry? Is not better have a good/finished mobile?

I don't talk it down, I just observe. I own a few flagships and none is perfect, but most are in better form when released. I didn't buy it to be my main phone but to have when travel, but I'm still a bit disappointed...
Written from my G4 because 1. I noticed that Z5c is very slow on my WiFi network and just don't have the energy to find out why. 2. I can't play the Hobbit on it because it starts to lag pretty bad after 10 minutes. And that's what I'm doing in my sofa right now
(and I'm pretty worried about Nexus 6P and SD 810, even knowing I'm not going to stay stock even 1 boot)

How has been your "Search of the incredible" so far?

It's been a while since the ZF2 is released.
ZF2 is not a flagship killer. It was never advertising as such. The selling point of the ZF2 is the biggest bang for the buck.
So, why did you buy it? Did the phone impressed you in those aspects?

Bang for the buck, I came from S2 then S4. When the S6 came out at exorbitant contract price and no micro sd slot, I looked around and did the maths. The Zenfone 2 gave me twice the ram and 4 times the storage of my S4, it was faster, gave me the micro sd slot that the S6 lacked.
On top of that I could get it for less than half the price of a S6, that meant that going sim only and buying the ZF2 I will have saved enough on my old contract terms to cover the cost of the phone in 7 months(or 5 compared to the S6 contract).
I concur with BigDavy. This phone has such bang for the buck. The specs are better than phones at twice the price. Still loving it after 8 months.

found the incredible (almost literally).
i bought this phone because of a reviewer saying, that this phone has very good cell reception.
The house I live in right now (temporarily) has very thick stone walls (around 100cm, 400yrs old house) and many phones I tried, struggled to get 2G reception (Xperia Z2, Medion x5004, HTC One m8 to name a few..)
When the ASUS.. well.. I still cant believe.. it has 3 constant bars for 2g (others had barely one) AND in most parts of the house also 4G LTE. that was incredible.
I know that the Intel chipset isn't very battery friendly, but now that I tried it.. it is snappier than a snapdragon 800 series. my next phone? anything with an Intel chipset.
I moved from Galaxy S2, it had Dual 1.2GHZ (max over clock to 1.6 but it will burn the chip soon) with 1GB Ram. So you guess what, to me it felt like moving from a dying horse to a Lamborgini.
It's really incredible that I got this holy awesomeness for $200 ;D Unfortunately, there isn't too much support for the 5" models around here, so I selected the second option. I would like to see more support for it

I came from a Samsung S3 that was slower than a wet week
As the ZF2 isnt sold here in Australia I took a chance and it has turned out okay....I have had one problem of the camera not working but that was fixed under warranty (took 3 weeks to get it back) but the phone is powering along now...just waiting for the Marshmallow update to come to see whether I put a custom ROM on it or not...

I'm very satisfied. Moved from an iphone 5 to the 550ML (Z008) just after it was launched. Wanted the 551 with 4GB, 2.3ghz and 1080p but had to settle for the cheaper one with 2GB, 1.8ghz and 720p (in Japan ASUS only sold the 551 at inflated prices, and it was also a bit overpriced from importers). The 1.8ghz cpu is plenty fast enough for my needs and the 720p sceen is better than I expected. 2GB RAM is a bit short when using the stock 5.0 firmware that has memory management issues, but is plenty when using CM. I love the size, the feel of the phone in my hand and its snappy ux performance. Bang for the buck, even at a slightly high importer price, has been incredible, and going unlocked has enabled me to switch to an MNVO and save an absolute fortune every month in carrier charges (the phone had basically paid for itself in about four months). I'm now pretty tempted by the astonishing value some Xiaomi or LeTV devices offer, but have to keep reminding myself that I love my ZF2 and it still has plenty of life in it. Will use it until the battery starts going.
I was using G3 when I bought Zenfone 2 (I used Zenfone 5 before G3), and I have to say that Zenfone 2 will be my last phone made by ASUS, too much bugs, slow update (even 2 years old G3 got Android 6 for a month!).
ASUS is just promoting their new phones, they don't care about their old customers.
At first, i hesitated to buy the ASUS ZenFone 2 as it uses an Intel chipset, but after going through every review on the internet, i made my mind. This is the phone i was looking for. Best in class performance and features from a famous brand known worldwide for just under $200. I wanted to buy the 4gb ram model, but was tight on budget and opted for 2gb model. Was quite happy with my buy. Now i'm even more happy with the excellent custom rom support it has got, gets the same attention as the higher end model.
Just "IN SEARCH OF INCREDIBLE" for official OS update (MM 6.0.1) from ASUS.
64 bit processor + 4gb ram + 5.5 screen (optimal size in my opinion) + decent storage capacity + storage expansion + reasonable price.
Upgraded from Galaxy Note II.
Met my expectations so far (have it since Nov. 2015), only two problems - when I receive calls, people start hearing me with a delay, and the phone has been bent a little

anything good (price & features) about ASUS ZF 2 except too much bloatware & rear speaker (crackling problem), so far ASUS ZF 2 is the best for the buck
Scored it 8. -2 for...
-Current gaming performance -- early videos show that this is a gaming beast for it's price. Unfortunately, I don't experience such smoothness right now, even after reflashing and playing on performance mode.
-Battery drain from the latest update -- Not sure if it's my fault or what, but I'm getting massive wakelocks from Calendar Storage. I think that's the culprit for my battery drain. **Already did factory reset and reflash, same thing**

From iPhone 6s Plus to S7 Edge?

I have the chance to exchange my iphone 6s plus for an S7 edge, should I do it? Anyone did the same thing here? Would you recommend? I like the S7 for its smaller size and weight but not sure because of the android experience vs polished iOS. Any comments welcome. Much appreciated.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i think you should because it has wireless charging, SD slot, bigger battery, water resistance, support for VR, 2K screen, edge screen, best hardware, best camera, better looking, smaller bezels, quick charging 2.0, Always On Display lots of features
(multi window), support themes, so you can make the phone look like how you want.
TouchWiz UI is smooth and fast, I will go for exynos 8890 CPU for better speed and performance and better multitasking.
iphone 6S has its benefit for example single core is really fast in real life test in apps and games, More Durable, Thinner, lighter, fast updates, 3D touch display, reversible charging plug and more Internal Storage Options.
Battery life from gsmarena.com
iphone 6s PLus:- 85 Hour
Iphone 6s:- 62 Hour
Galaxy S7 Edge:- 98 hour
Galaxy S7:- 80 Hour
Performance and battery life are still superior on the 6S Plus. Not by a long shot in terms of performance, but batterylife on the 6S Plus is tremendously better. Every owner of a 6S Plus will agree with me on this one. I have one lying next to my S7 Edge and still like several aspects of it more.
Biggest advantange the S7 has is it's form factor. It's really small and easy to operate.

How much of an advantage does it have on battery life ?
Better camera, better battery, better looking and you can have microSD
I have both devices and they are both great. Best of their kinds. The question is do you want to use android or ios? Battery is better on ios but camera other features are better on s7. Ios is more optimized for the device and works better. S7 touchwiz has issues (little things) but it is way better than before. Anyway I do not suggest you to exchange any of these devices cause i love them both and they are my daily drivers.
I switched from iPhone 6S Plus to the S7 edge and love the S7,yes the battery is better on the iPhone but the S7ncharges so fast it doesn't really matter. The screen,VR,the hardware, the ability to use apps that have no restrictions like apple puts on iOS is great. I highly recommend the S7
I want change my iPhone 6S Plus to S7 Edge too Battery life is very important for me... How it compares to iP 6S Plus in daily usage ? Its huge/visible difference ?
I switched from an iphone 6s plus to s7 edge and prefer the s7 for its compact size and looks. I find the battery to actually be superior on the edge (active display off). Ive used the iphone with the apple watch and the s7 with moto 360, considering both phones with bluetooth on all day the s7 retains more of the battery.
Day to day use is pretty similiar in terms of speed and performance, but the iphone truly shines in its gaming capabilities with 0 lag and barely ever produced heat. The s7 does produce some lag and heat however you have to factor in the increased resolution of the screen which i prefer to iphone.
A final point i will add is that the camera on the edge is fantastic with crazy fast focus speed and great quality. If you do decide to switch I would personally advise to get the exynos version which has better ram mangement and superior battery life.

i love how the "i"sheep spew bs about their inferior products all the time. that is one of the reasons i switched to android. sick of the absolute bs that all iphone users spew, just to cultishly support a company who screws you over time and time again. in this case, like so many others, you are so wrong! the 6s plus does NOT have better performance, and has equal battery performance in only a few occurrences, at best. look at all the reviews. several of them pit them against each other, most of those are the sd820 and the s7 still fares better. the exynos will blow it out of the water.
i would definitely go with the s7e, and i did. i had a recent iphone 6, and i can tell you that the experience is soooooooo much better on the samsung. people act like i committed a sin when i tell them that i switched to samsung, most of these are my frriends and coworkers who still have iphones, but when i tell them to pull out their iphones, and lets look at what we can do side by side, the opinions change quickly. i don't really think it's that hard of a decision. i feel free!! being in iphone prison, where EVERYTHING has to go through itunes, is soooooo limiting. and everything also has to come from the app store, where with android, i can get apps from so many places, and they are so much more diverse, and useful. and i can put them anywhere i like on my s7 edge, where the iphone made me put all icons in militaristic rows. i really hated that. anyway life is a lot more free and customizable on the s7e.
I be going back to Apple come September..in the US you can't root the s7e. If I'm gonna have a locked phone, it sure as heck ain't gonna be a Sammy. Shame on you Samsung

I was a Android user ever since the G1 but last year I wanted a switch so I got a 6+ and then 3 months later I upgraded to the (6S+)
I used an iPhone for almost a year but I missed Android too much. There are things I like better on the iPhone but the overall experience is better for me on Android.
That all being said, some games such as Hearthstone run better on the iPhone. In regards to battery, my 6S+ lasted a lot longer than my S7 Edge however after I fixed my battery drain issues my S7 Edge gets noticeably better battery life than my 6S+. There is no way I could have ever pulled out 8 hours of SOT with my iPhone. Some days my 6S+ would be nearly dead after getting home from work but my S7 Edge hasn't dipped below 30% in the same time frame with the same usage.
I'm happy to have Android back.

don't listen to the people telling you that the battery life is better on the ip 6s+, it's not. especially if you take the time to learn a little bit about the s7e. every review i have seen head to head, the s7 has better battery life. my sister has the 6s+, and my s7e outlasts hers every time. and i do more on mine than she does on hers. also, my phone can charge up ten times faster than her ip can. my screen looks better, the s7e's design is better and the s7 is faster at doing almost everything. of couse i got rid of touchwiz, which others are complaining about, and put nova launcher on mine, which is way faster than the stock touchwiz launcher. why those people complain about touchwiz, instead of just changing it, is so ridiculous. nova launcher is FREE!!! anyway, it's stuff just like that, that makes android better. you can't change your launcher on the iphone. but i can load hundreds of them on google, and decide for myself which one i want to use. iphone is like being in jail, where android gives you the freedom to do sooooo much more.

man, use your brain. go get the internaional version, which is unlocked, you can use it with most us carriers, and you can root it. plus, the exynos is faster and has better battery life than the snapdragon anyway. so it's a win/win situation. going back to ios is a lose/lose situation.

I agree with you mate. Apple iPhone is over priced.
Thanks to all for responses, I'm an owner of the S7 edge now. Its a great device. Screen sensitivity is driving me mad though. Let's hope Samsung will fix it in an update.
Weird I don't have the sensitivity issue on my exynos. Also, those saying the 6s plus battery is better are either having defective devices or are having badly coded apps running. On my first charge I got 8.5 hrs sot with 1d2hrs uptime and using the phone without compromises. Now I'm using it exclusively on 4g (lte for US guys) and it's sitting at 3 hrs sot with 50% left and an uptime of 13 hours which is incredible

Hey dude,
Just would like to ask where is your exynos made from?? should say on the back of the device either Korea Or Vietnam. thank you
I was thinking about going for IPhone 6 but I decided to stay with android (one of the reasons is smartwatch from sony). And I am really happy with S7 edge. Earlier I had Samsung S3 and it was not so good, so my opinion about Samsung was quite low.
By the way, comparing S7 edge to other phones, why nobody mentions curved screen? It's the best thing about the phone, to me. It creates kind of 3d effect. The screen is the major thing that outlines the phone among the others. And every time I look at other smartphone, for example my father's Note 4, it feels strange to look at simple, flat screen.
I just love curves.

Swap my sony z5 to s7edge?

Hey guys i hope i dont break a rule or smth posting this thread. So lemme explain the title
I own sony z5 like 3 months now... I had lg g3 and decided to move to a better phone...well lg g3 experience was pretty good except that it was heating.so i sold it to a good friend of mine and bought z5...before root and modifying system i had like 5hours ost.now after root and mods i get like 7 hours on my marsh os...well its good because i frozed messenger facebooj snapchat line and viber. Also i had some issues while taking pics some of them in the gallery was turning grey in part of the pics and thats so irritating for such a exp phone.phone is heating as well sometimes even when i browse...not that a superb phone at all camera lens are bad because they line up with the body and that makes it loving scratches....could anyone advice me about the s7 edge? Is it worth it to upgrade to that phone? Am lurking about this phone on youtube saw lot of videos about it and its pretty good as it seems. So what do u think s7 edge owners?
Ps sorry for the long and some pointless details but i wanted to be as clear as possible about my needs
In my opinion , if money is not a problem just do it. I think the S7 Edge is the best phone money can buy for now along with the 6S.

All Applications running normally, facebook messanger viber whatsapp ..etc

Exynos are amazing these days , i pitty those with Snapdragons 820
My sd820 averages 6-7 sot with everything on except aod, I have no complaints, but this phone is a nice upgrade compared to the z5 the 810 is prob the worst processor QC every came out with, the s7 runs nice and cool rarely gets warm, never hot, and the camera I have to say is the best mobile camera out right now, the auto focus and shutter is amazingly fast which was one of my gripes about Android cameras, if I were you and money wasn't an issue I would make the switch, the Sony phones while good just has no flair and I hate the position of the buttons lol

How about night selfie mod.
And rear camera on low light conditions?
I had Sony Z5 international version. It is bad, the battery drain very quickly while using it and the phone gets hot. Also the camera is very slow compare to other major phone released in 2015.

A lot of shots are even brighter than you see with your eyes, sometimes it can have a lot of noise but thats expected to get some light in a low light shot, I'm able to capture alot of my kids moments in low light when an iPhone wouldmt of even had a chance

This is absolutely insane! How the hell did Samsung allow the Exynos 990 out the gate with such poor performance. Your video, along with these two below is a major case for people to at least get refunds from Samsung, the Exynos is clearly not a proper flagship SoC at all!

Thanks a lot for sharing and bringing insight to the community! I am not very active here but when I see something like this my blood boils, I cannot believe Samsung have lead us astray like this!
Oh boohoo! Get over it. It's nothing that cant be resolved with a simple software update. And if you're a "gamer" you shouldn't be buying this phone anyway, it's not advertised as a gaming phone and therefore shouldn't be used as one. Yeah, it should do some gaming, but it was never designed for prolonged periods of intense gaming.

I totally agree exynos is not good compare to sd.
but people complain about not able to play games is totaly unacceptable(that to for only few good titles always compares to pubg).because Samsung is allround phone. so yes you can play game but not as gaming phone.also samsung never released a gaming phone yet wait for exynos and AMD collaberation.

Part of the problem is that Samsung’s are sold worldwide and in some places are the closest to a gaming phone we can get in a lot of regions, especially through carriers. Distribution of Xiaomi,RAZER and ASUS gaming phones is pretty limited. In many regions you will not even have after sales support and have to ship your phone off overseas if anything goes wrong.
Oh Samsung DO push gaming in their marketing of the S20 range:

Read what i wrote dude, it's nothing that cant be fixed with a simple software update. And i also wrote that its not being advertised as a gaming phone and therefore people shouldnt expect it to be one. Samsung have never said that the S20 range is designed purely for gaming. In their marketing, they've merely stated that it can game - and it can. Get over it and wait for Samsung to fix the issue. The device has been out less than a month...

Well I hope they WILL fix it with a software update, big difference between it being possible and them actually doing it. Let’s be cognizant of the fact that Exynos990 has A76 cores and not the newer and more efficient A77 found in the Snapdragon, a software update definitely won’t be able to fix the hardware, their software will probably try patch it up OR they can balance it out by bringing down Snapdragon performance but the latter option would just make people even more angry. They have little wiggle room with this it seems, one wonders how much more they could get out of the Exynos at this point.
Also they don’t have to advertise it as a gaming phone strictly, their claims in the S20 and Exynos990 marketing material both make a pretty big deal about its gaming capabilities which it actually does not live up to.
The Snapdragon on the other hand does a great job at living up to its claims.

At the end of the day dude, you've seen the video - if you dont like it, steer clear. Nobody has a gun to your head. Quit whining and just wait and see what Samsung do. People are always so quick to nit-pick on a device that's less than a month old.

Not whining is what helps brands get away with nonsense like this. Had people not whined the S20 Ultra would have continued to have Auto Focus problems. I will whine with my fellow enthusiasts whenever we see issues on our favourite devices.
You may go ahead and put me on your ignore list as this will not stop for as long as companies continue with such scumbaggery. I have been around here since the Windows Mobile 6 days and often seen crap like this get pushed under the carpet when nobody says anything.

Well if all you have to do is whine and moan about graphics performance on an SoC - then i wish you well with the rest of your life. If you feel that strongly about it, feel free to pick up and pen, find a piece of paper and write to Samsung directly. The issue in post #1 is not a major issue, it's not a deal breaker, it's not the "do all and end all" (so to speak). Pick yourself up, brush it off, wait for a software update from Samsung, take a deep breath and move on. It will get fixed....give it time.
yup I agree with this. I been waiting for come back of snapdragon samsung flagships to Asia personally for india last seen for me was note 4 having sd 805.thats it after all this exynos with lower performance not acceptable for paying 93k rs aprox 1300$

We're all adults here (well, most of us anyway). It's a teething problem on a device that is less than a month old. It will get fixed. But people come to a public forum and say stuff like "Avoid at all costs" "Exynos variant is absolute trash" "DO NOT BUY" etc etc. It's a teething problem and people here are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Exactly, we have seen this year after year, enough is enough at this point, especially the prices we pay for these devices.
Remember back in the Galaxy S4 days with the Exynos 5410 and Snapdragon 600 chip? And then again with the Galaxy Note 4 with the Snapdragon 805 and Exynos 5433.
It’s been going on for far too long, there is always this significant difference but this year is the biggest we have seen.
maybe its nothing, but i sign

also those days differences are very less now its significant difference between these too.20% performance is too much and the culprit will be graphics mail GPU and old 76 cortex
