Network issues when switching from mobile network to WIFI on a phone call. - OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Questions & Answers

This is regarding my OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren on T-Mobile in the US.
As the title states, I was on a phone call driving home and as I pulled into my driveway and the phone connected to Wi-Fi, it went silent, then hung up.
I received a call back from my friend, but then a minute later it happened again. I looked at my phone to see my mobile network was disconnected, and under Wi-Fi calling settings it said "Error - cannot connect."
This required rebooting the phone to fix, and after that it still struggled a bit to connect to the network and place another phone call.
I've also had issues when I first got the phone with sending and receiving MMS, especially over Wi-Fi, so the T-Mobile rep changed the Wi-Fi calling setting to "cellular preferred." This seemed to help.
Anybody experiencing similar network issues?

Dropping calls

Does anybody else have a problem on o2? For the past few days my HD has been very flakey.
o2 are usually spot on in my area, the phone has good signal and what is happening most of the time is ill take a call then after 20-60seconds it will cut off and play the "duur duur" noise.
Is there anything i can further do to trouble shoot this problem and see if its a phone or possible network problem?
same to me
It happens to me too, but in Serbia, with Telekom network operator. So it is regardless of the network. Only thing that comes to my mind is connection setup update that I have recently did. Found out that call is dropping when I change network station cell or type of connection (from gprs to edge or 3G)
I tried to make new connection setup, will report with findings...

[Q] For SM-N9005 unlocked owners using US AT&T network - data stopped working

I had this weird problem where mobile data stopped working on my Note 3. The last time it worked was Saturday evening and when I got home, got on wi-fi. This morning, I left the house and I got just the bars without the usual H+ along with it. Phone status said that the network state was disconnected. However, calls worked fine. I tried to troubleshoot with the ATT rep, tried re-registering my number multiple times to no avail. Then, I went into network mode and switched it to "WCDMA/GSM auto" from the default "LTE/WCDMA/GSM auto", and data works again. Since I always had the phone on "LTE/WCDMA/GSM auto" and I know I didn't do any system updates lately, some recent change in the ATT network was probably not playing nice with that network mode. Has anyone with the int'l Note 3 on the ATT network had this problem?

Leon LTE (MS345) Problem: "Searching..." forever but SIM is OK

Just posting this in case somebody has some ideas. I've had a MetroPCS LG Leon LTE (MS345) for over a year without problems, but now it started losing its mobile connection sporadically, for a few minutes or a few hours, as if there was no SIM in the phone.
Symptoms:
The 4G indicator disappears from the notification bar (signal strength indicator shows good signal).
The lock screen says "Searchng..."
Calls fail with the "Emergency Calls Only" message
SMS won't send
I get a "Service Unavailable" error when I choose Settings/Call/Additional Settings
WiFi is unaffected (and WiFi calling seems to work, though it has always been hit or miss)
Things I've already tried:
Checked relevant settings, APNs, etc
Checked the contacts on the SIM socket, all looks good.
Reset Phone to factory defaults
Replaced SIM (MetroPCS did this for free)
New phones are relatively cheap, but I don't have a burning desire to upgrade, so I'm hoping for another option.
I'm having this same problem. I left for an area with no service and came back to an area with service to find that my phone will constantly state Emergency Calls Only and no service. Does anyone have any suggestions?

4G issue

Hi all
The past 2 days I seem to be having an issue with intermittent 4G coverage...
It will connect to 4G but have a small X next to it in the top menu. I receive no internet however.
What does the X mean as I can't find the answer anywhere, and is it an issue with my phone or my service provider?
I am on EE UK and running 7.1.1 Beta NPF10C
I have restarted, turned on and off airplane mode, reset my APN to no avail.
Anything else you need to need to know I will provide
Thanks in advance
I have had the same problems occasionally & I think it's an EE fault. It basically means you have a 4G connection but no internet access. Toggling mobile data off, waiting a minute or two, and re-enabling seems to get a new connection.

Second Galaxy S10+ dropping signal when phone is locked for 2+ min

I bought a brand new factory unlocked Galaxy S10+. I popped in my Tmobile sim card but my calls goes to voice mail and I can't make any calls in following conditions.
I also tried Verizon sim and it acts the same way so not sure if network is the culprit.
1) When the wifi is on, my phone identifies network as I see 'Tmobile' in screen, signal strength is '-113 dBm 0 asu' but no actual incoming/outgoing call.
2) When the wifi is off, but screen is locked for 3-4 min, I still see 'T-mobile' but no incoming/outgoing call. Also, the service state changes 'In service' to 'Out of service' intermittently where I have to toggle aeroplane mode.
So, I have to toggle aeroplane mode on/off to get the network back while wifi is off, signal strength is '-81 dBm 59 asu' then everything works normally until I lock the screen as in step 2 or use wifi as in step 1.
This is my second replacement phone and it is behaving the same way as the first one. So, I am not sure if I am having bad luck with Samsung phones or if something is funky with my network. I also have a S9+ which has no issues at all with same sim cards and network coverage is excellent in my area.
Any idea or suggestion would be really helpful. Not sure if I should just change the firmware from U1 to Tmobile or something.
I would check your APN settings to verify that they are correct. I am on T-Mobile network with U1 firmware and have no issues with calls (I'm on MintSim which uses the T-Mobile network) but when I popped in my SIM no T-Mobile APN settings autopopulated--I had to enter the APN settings manually.
You should also make sure Volte is enabled in the network settings and WiFi Calling is enabled in the dialer settings.

Thank you for your response. My T-mobile APN settings auto populated and looks fine as I have LTE connection. The issue is that the connections keeps dropping and all my calls goes to voicemail in above two scenarios.
If the LTE didn't work at all or if my calls went to voicemail all the time, I would understand that some settings are not setup properly. But it works intermittently. Since, this is the second Galaxy S10+ with same exact issue, I am not sure if there is a issue with device or carrier.
