S10 Camera - Defective unit? - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

hi ppl.
Just bought a S10 and I´m disappointed with the camera.
Have been testing against my Mate20pro and... no comments..
But the worst thing is that comparing the pictures with a Samsung S8 I can see detail in all pictures and in my S10 not!
See the attached pictures, the houses and the other cars have a lot of detail in S8 picture comparing with my S10.
I thing I have a defective unit...My S9 was so good!

HDR performance battle: Z5 vs. Galaxy S5

I've done some real-life tests of the HDR function, which has been very good on my Galaxy S5. Below are the S5 vs. the Z5. On the S5, HDR is easy; on the Z5, Superior Auto doesn't have HDR, but there's an HDR setting in Manual mode. The best I could get with the Z5 still looks (to me) worse than the S5, because you can see less detail, even if there's more light (you can brighten the S5 pics if you want, but you can't extract more detail out of an overexposed scene).
In the lamp+TV scene, look at the sine-wave like detail on the lamp cover. The S5 shows it without problem; on the Z5, you can barely see it if you zoom in, due to overexposure.
In the food + window scene, the Galaxy S5 wins again. The detail in the food plate is better, the spoon is less overexposed, and the foliage in the upper left corner is also better exposed.
Notes
1. Originals can be found in my Flickr album comparing the Xperia Z5 vs. Galaxy S5 camera performance.
2. Also, keep in mind this is a previous generation Galaxy S5. The S6 probably has even better picture quality.
3. The Z5 photos are badly distorted in the corners - the food plate looks oval, and the lap cover looks elongated too. Read more in the Z5 distortion thread.

At&T Galaxy S7 - Sony Camera Sensor

So I got the At&T Galaxy S7 from At&T and have the Sony camera sensor in it. I dont like the yellows and after watching all the comparison shots between the Sony and Samsung camera sensor in the S7 I think the Samsung one is clearly better.
I saw the poll here to see which sensor people got and it looks like most have the Sony sensor in them. And all the AT&T people said they have the Sony sensor. I dont bother to return my phone if all the AT&T phones have the Sony sensor anyway.
My question is: Does anyone have the AT&T Galaxy S7 or S7Edge with the Samsung Britecell sensor? Where did you buy it from?
Thanks
In the end, no one will say "Hey! Nicely printed 12 megapixel photos, I can see they clearly have the Sony sensor". Or "Hey! Nice pictures you uploaded on facebook, what sensor did they have? I am dying to know" [emoji23] [emoji23]

Camera quality

Hi there, i bought used S7 edge without camera protection glass but lens itself looks fine. I am dissapointed about low light photos comparing to my oold LG G3, is this normal quality from S7 or do you think that camera is broken? Thank you

Just got a brand new S7 Edge. I want to ask a question.

Hi. I just a bought a totally new Samsung S7 Edge.
I'm planning on using it as a spare phone.
My daily driver now is Xiaomi Mi 5.
I want to ask a question from you guys. I know S7 Edge is 2 years old phone now. But
Is the front camera on S7 Edge really that bad??
Rear camera is ok, excels in video and low light shooting I must say. Other than that it has similar result to that of Mi 5.
But the front camera is really terrible I thought I'm going crazy with the blurriness but then I compared it to my friend's S7 also have similar bad results from front camera. I plan to use it for some mobile photography, but now I'm left dissatisfied. It's better than Mi 5 in every other ways except not having usb c and sub-par camera.
Front camera is ok
Make sure the lens is clean. Also it absolutely destroys MI5 when it comes to camera, there's no comparison here. The screen is much better too.

Camera S8 on S7

Good afternoon, my s7 edge camera was broken and I am seeing that the connectors are the same as the ones on the S8, I would like to know if anyone ever tried to install another camera on a device.
