Need help on downgrading - Huawei Mediapad M3 Questions & Answers

Hi xda members. I recently bought Mediapad M3 device BTV-DL09C209B312. ((I wanted to unlock my bootloader on ministryofsolution website for $4. the problem is, it can only be unlocked if the device were on july 2018 security patch or below. My current security patch is on november. My question is, is there any reliable tutorial to downgrade this device and unlocked it? I am afraid of bricking the device and i am not really familiar with huawei)) Please tell me step by step and what to do and what not before/after unlocking the device. Such as, do we need to save efs backup, imei, keys, oem info, any other important partition or something like that as long as it is important for huawei user. Thank you. I really need someone to guide me. Your help is really appreciated.
Edit: Skip the part for downgrading with bracket(()). Actually the unlock is supported and i misread the part where "EMUI 8 with july 2018 security patch above are not supported"

Rooting P8 lite 2017 with 7.0 Nougat

Hey there,
I'm sorry if this is a repeat question but I can't seem to track down a thread where it's described in detail how to root a P8 Lite 2017 running Nougat. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
I'm just looking to root it Not anything else.
Kind regards
Chris
@vimes1984
You can't root the device at the moment using the proper method because Huawei doesn't offer unlock codes anymore. I've read that this may be temporary.
The very first step in rooting our phone properly is by "unlocking the bootloader" and we can't do that without the unlock code.
The thread with the tutorials for rooting our device has been deleted because the owner bricked the device and ended the support.
That thread doesn't matter to me though since the instructions were not very clear, links were removed and I followed another tutorial for rooting the device for I get nowhere when following an incomplete thread.
Instead, I followed this, this or this one, searched for the appropriate files in P8 Lite (2017) threads and watched some YouTube tutorials.
These tutorials will only work if you have the unlock code.
There may be some unrecommended methods like one-click root apps or maybe using a trusted website for buying unlock codes, but I wouldn't recommend any of those and you can try them at your own risk.
Some might work or others might be just trying to steal your IMEI and other sensitive informations.
I don't even know if they are compatible or supports the device.

Is there any root or rebrabd option for CPNW09C100

Hi everybody,
I recently bought MediaPad M3 from Amazon.
I couldn't find anything related to my build number in this forum. My question are:
Is there any way to obtain root from TWRP (greatslon mod) thread, without bricking my device? And if not
Is there any way I can rebrand the device and after that obtain root?
I'm attaching screens from firmware finder.
Hi !
I have a CPN-AL00
I found on the net that CPN-AL00, CPN-L09 and CPN-W09
are similar devices about firmware.
On my CPN-AL00 (Chinese version) I make successfully unlock bootloader and root.
1- Unlocking bootloader devices is very simple but you must have the booloader unlock code,
I take mine directly from Huawei, you can search about this, there' s a lot of info.
2- I try with success rooting with Magisk with generic procedure described for installation.
I believe that you can try on your device these points without any issue.
I not use TWRP at all, I don't know if a compatible version exist...
After that you can rebrand your device but you must have OEMINFO / Custom.bin files
for the version you want to.
I'm trying to debrand my version to CPN-L09,
but I cannot find on the net relative OEMINFO/Custom.bin files...
I hope these info help you.

[Nokia 6 TA-1021, Android 9] Is this phone rootable?

Hi. I wanted to get root in my ohone, but any tutorial I followed is useful. I can't use SuperSu and TWRP methods because I can't unlock the bootloader and the app Nokia gives in the official page for unlocking is completely useless. Better not even talking about the one click root apps because I am not even going to pretend they exist.
So I don't know what to do. Some people says this model is completely impossible to root, while others recommend I use Magisk (I don't know how) or specific commands in the Minimal ADB blackboard, do I don't know what I should really do.
So if there exist a way I can root this model of phone which again is Nokia 6 TA-1021 with Android 9, I would like to know the options and how to execute them. Thanks!!

Since pie update, twrp is not booting in some devices of nokia 6 (TA-1021)
and if u want to root your phone
It's must to unlock your device bootloader first .
After that you can flash twrp and magisk ..
But keep in mind ..
Magisk 17.1 is working on Android pie or else canary build( i haven't tested it yet)
And if you want to unlock bootloader of your phone then u have to buy unlock key .
Or else you can try the procedure as mentioned before by @Calyxhikari.
Follow that procedures carefully.. hope it will work for u

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I concluded the issue is being unabled to unlock the bootloader but I am a bit lost.
How to do it? And also, you menctioned I have to buy a key... There is absolutely no other way of doing it? Am I forced to spend more money or there exist a free way?
I never had to unlock it before and I don't know the process.

It's not expensive , you can buy it from techmesto.com
Or contact to calyxhikari i bought it in just 250rs (INR) And believe that was very simple process to unlock bootloader some commands are necessary to unlock it and that's the only way to unlock it . Once you buy it, then you can lock and unlock it anytime .

[index] Rom list for Huawei Y6 2019

Hello
I create this thread to index all custom roms, if you have a thank you to write it here that updates the thread.
Rom Stock : (not sure anyone can test?)
https://huaweiflash.com/how-to-flash-huawei-y6-2019-stock-firmware-all-firmwares/
Thanks everyone
How can I rom Huawei y6 into a iPhonr
Well, is very simple, you take a chizle and a hammer and shape it in a Iphone.
But be careful it must be heated first to approximately 75 degrees Celsius (Preferably in the microwave) otherwise it will chip and you risk damaging it.
Good luck!
Hi All,
I've been digging around for any scraps of information I can find about installing a custom rom on a Huawei Y6 2019 (MRD-LX1). After hours of searching, I couldn't actually find anything. I can't make a new thread so I decided to reply to this one.
I can see some threads about doing it on a 2018 model. Would they be applicable to the 2019 model as well, or has Huawei done something special on the 2019 model to prevent old methods from working?
There are some threads about the Pro or Prime or whatever models of the phones. Would I be safe to assume the same methods can apply to a base (MRD-LX1) model?
If there is any information you can point me towards, I'd be grateful!

im having the same issue as well
Same issue here after 3 days of research for MRD-LX1 : no rooting possible, no bootloader unlocking (i found one code but that fails at the last stage of unlocking (oem unlock Err:0x7), no TWRP file at twrp.me...
How disappointing : I don't know what method I could use to recover some deleted pictures that are probably in the 8Go free memory... Arghhhhhh
