Unlock bin - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Does anyone have the T-Mobile 6t and has received the unlock bin? If so how long did it take? I'm loosing patience. ?

Says 1-2 weeks in the oneplus website, could be sooner or later. I haven't received mine yet and I put it in last night. I'm like you losing patience, but hey I'm still checking after each email going off waiting for it to be the one lol

Lmao same, Everytime I see the Gmail icon I get excited.

Same here. Put mine in today and just itching to get the email that says I can unlock this thing. I'm as giddy as a school girl.

I put mine in about 12 hours ago. I keep hitting refresh and "records" tab to see if it changes from In Progress

Out of curiosity where it says to enter on adb this "fastboot flash cust-unlock <unlock_token.bin>” do I just put it in as is or I have to put my unlock code somewhere, and if so where? Sorry I never did this

Say what? Copy paste the unlock code I'll receive from OnePlus at the place where it says <unlock_token.bin> I just replace that with the code?

No don't copy and paste it, instead of writing that, just drag and drop the file where it goes. This will enter the path of the file automatically into the cmd.

I think I got you.
So OP will send me a Bin file and on cmd I run the fastboot then I drag and drop the bin file op sent me and it will do the trick by itself, is this correct?

And this is why they put these policies into play of actually paying full price for a device before actually unlocking the bootloader.

Did you go solely through twitter to T-mobileHelp? I've gone through around 4 so far. 3 have gone through the paying off/40 days spiel. One is maybe promising, but is going to take a month.
Might try one more time later, but I have no hopes up any longer.

I also got my unlocked today!!! 3rd time was the charm! I was dead serious about giving up and a really good friend of mine told me to just try it one more time and I did and it worked ?
Edit: I went thru twitter

Solely through twitter. I'd heard people had no luck with phone support. It took a few tries though. Just be persistent about needing it unlocked for travel and development purposes. Perhaps throw in that you're going to return the device if you can't get it unlocked before you 14 day return window, as you bought the device for a specific purpose that isn't being met.
It will work, just gotta get the right agent!

just got mine permanantly unlocked. Phone isnt paid off either. it took me 5 or 6 different reps before they finally did it.

HD2 Ordered

Just had my contract renewal and placed an order for a HD2
HOPE to get it on Saturday and have the weekend to play and install my apps. Upgrading from a Diamond. I have looke dat the tweaks sticky and downloaded a few of them ready.
Any heads up for the fone?
best advice, play with it first, dont get crazy adding stuff till you are comfortable with it, and read a LOT.
Good luck for saturday delivery!

Ok, after frustrating calls to O2 who finally deceided to tell me they didnt know hen they would have the HD2 in stock I cancelled and went in store and got one today! LOVE IT!
Whats the benefit of that unlocking link?
As soon as its unlocked you can , obviously, use any sim card in it...
Silly noob comments removed
Seriously suggest you take the advice to read as theres just so much stuff to try out you'll probably end up duplicating your efforts as most of the cooked ROM's will already include any of the tweaks you're likely to try and going crazy with the mods can have an adverse impact on stability. As a first port of call for a must have grab a file explorer and a back up utility (if you haven't already)...
doesnt need to be unlocked to flash roms. sim lock and rom lock aren't connected.

The benefit is that it's free and allows any sim from other providers.
Most HD2 owners need to pay around £20 for this. It may not directly benefit you at this time but it will some day.

Count the digits. the IMEI only needs to be 16 digits, but several people (myself included) have found that the hd2 displays a 17 (or 18 one person said) digit imei. KNock off the last digit and try again.

Proper Steps to get phone ready to return

What would be the basic proper steps to prepare me to return this to Sprint?
I am just unhappy with the no Wifi Calling and trouble viewing this screen outside. AMOLED screens are too much better (Galaxy s5 is way better IMO)

easiest way is to flash RUU...http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-10/development/ruu-sprint-htc-10-1-24-651-3-t3379257
bootloader will still be unlocked, if u want to lock, from fast boot use this cmd:
fastboot oem lock
it still wont show "locked" instead "relocked"...I recently returned a 10 to sprint, I dont recall if I locked or not (I think I did), but they dont check

I don't think the bootloader is unlocked it looks like someone rooted the phone and turn it into T-Mobile and they just mailed you. You can try to download the new firmware and flashing it and doing a reset factory to see if it will fix it.
Generally that means you can do as you please such as root and fladhing

Wont boot up after ODIN T-Flash

So I need help. I tried un rooting my s7 edge by flashing the stock files in ODIN, I selected T-Flash in ODIN options because that's what I remembered selecting in the past. Little did I know I forgot to select Re-Partition too. Now my phone shows a black screen, I cant boot into recovery or download mode, but it would seem like the phone isn't shutting off because when I connect it to my PC its immediately recognized and no matter how many button combinations I try it just is disconnected from the PC for about half a second and then re connects. I don't get any response from the phone though. The screen is pitch black and i cant get it to do anything. After flashing I noticed it wasn't booting up at all it was in download mode and when it finished the screen turned black and never came back on. When connected to my PC it is recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM5) in my device manager ODIN Does not recognize it and neither does any other application. Can I please get some help here?
Try pressing and holding the power button until the device shuts off. It could take up to a minute of holding the button down continuously.

Yeah that does nothing. I'm still stuck on the black screen and nothing is happening. I'm about to just sit in a corner and cry. No matter what I try nothing comes on no LED no display no vibrations, all I get is the connection sound on my computer when I connect it that is it it does nothing else.

I really hate giving links to outside sources when I don't know anything about it but this seems to be your only hope unless you can bring it to a store and have them swap it out with a new one.

Well like I said before, I don't like giving out directions like I did if I don't recognize the steps to complete it or if others have not supported the validity of it. I don't want to stray you in the wrong direction. The only thing I think you should do, my opinion of course, is attempt to return it under or try to get it repaired under warranty as you don't need insurance as long as you didn't trip Knox, which I don't believe you did.

Okay so i called Samsung and they let me send it in for repair, I'm shipping it out tomorrow. All they asked for was a email my address name and they gave me this code or whatever. I thought I would need like a receipt or something but I guess not. I bought the phone used from Swappa so I thought i'd be screwed. I just hope Knox inst messed up which it shouldn't be because it never was and it failed when I was trying to flash stock firmware. Oh and its free of charge since it hasn't been a year of the phones release yet.

Glad you could get it sorted out. Sucks that it will take a little longer but it's better than attempting to follow complicated tutorials that may not even work and may make the problem worse. Hope they send you a new one, just be careful next time you flash anything. Read the instructions, make sure you understand them and ask about what you don't, then read through again to double check and you shouldn't have any problems.

The only thing I'm worried about is if they call me saying they won't repair it because I have no proof of purchase since I bought it used. I'm so anxious to get my phone back really hoping everything is smooth. It's apparently covered by the 1yr warranty every phone comes with but why would they not ask for a receipt but whatever I just want everything to go smooth.
