Wonderful news this ROM is. Would you be kind to post some screenshots, more details etc... Is it only for the model you have written on the thread or it could be flashed to other P9+ models? I own VIE-L29C185.
Either way thank you for your effort.

Video or image? Good work

Works great. The only issue i have is that Snapchat isnt working anymore. How can i solve this?
Solved: hide via magisk!

Deleted some apps and changed structure on screen. Updated most apps to actual version.

- Fingerprint sensor does not work (back to previous screen)
- Developer options does not work (I cannot enter to enable USB debugging or allow unknown applications)
- Advanced settings does not work either (I cannot allow connection to Hisuite for restore / backup)
- PIN for unlock screen not work, forced close settings. A security bug or error?
- Bluetooth not work
- Impossible to uninstall anything, crash and soft reboot

Solved (parcially)
An error during installation not installing /cust and other things.
Only bluetooth, NFC and notepad, calculator and other apps installation errors persists.

@NandoHerrera tell me what you did before flashing. Maybe i can Change the script in Next build.

Hi, i wan't to go back to stock rom. But if i try to install via sdcard, i get the error, that the firmware is up to date and it don't want to install. I think the problem is the build-number. How can i fix this problem?

Works great... just asking in advance, if I want to go back to original stock rom, can I just do the dload folder with update.app and press all 3 side buttons to flash back? Thank you

Thanks again. I was playing around with eRecovery before this and but I never got it to work. It will connect to the house wifi but never did managed to download or restore. Using mobile data is the same. Nothing gets done.
Btw, with P9 Plus VIE-L29, when we use update.app, do we put the dload folder on the external sd card or on the phone's internal memory???
Currently everything works great. Definitely increased in sound volume. With the original rom, i always have the volume at 80-90%. With your rom, I have to set it to 40-50% or else it is too loud for my environment. Loving it so far...

eRecovery is working on European brands only with changing DNS in Router and register the exact Firmware.
dload isn't working with FullOTA-MF, as @dkionline mentioned.
For going back to Stock Firmware (for some reason in the future) you can use for VIE this method:

Thanks. Well, always have a Plan B instead of searching for one when I absolutely need it. And going back to original stock rom is the safest. Have a nice weekend, thank you once again.

How do i get the navigation keys to the bottom of the screen when i am in landscape mode?

Official ZTE Open Fire Fox OS 1.2 and 1.3 builds thread

This thread is all about making it easier for those who cannot build Firefox OS 1.2 and 1.3 to get these updates to their phones.
Please post your build links here with pertinent information about the build. I hope I am right in thinking that builds done on 64 bit linux machines can be flashed by those with 32 bit linux machines. Feel free to add to this thread and I will merge the pertinent information and links to the top of the thread.
Hi donjuankey,
would you like 1.2 1.3 or 1.4 builds?
1.2 and 1.3 are the most needed. 1.4 is probably not worth the trouble at this point for most people but hey if you got it, it is welcome.
The rom has many bugs.

Do I just flash these in the bootloader? or what's the best way to apply them. So far, when I attempted to flash these, I got errors.
Anyone know how to put these into a .zip file that can be flashed via CWM recovery?

If you want to flash custom builds based on 1.1.0 you need to install ZTE's 1.1.0 firmware first

I want to flash FF OS 1.3. I have currently installed FF OS 1.2 B2G Prerelease. I tried flashing the ROM provided on this link but it stucks on Fox Logo and keeps restarting
How can i flash THIS ROM?
no 3g connection lost after a while
Hello, thanks for your work first of all.
I have flashed 1.3 signed .zip via CWM. Everything works great, internet connection via wireless/3G.... etc (i'm writing from SPAIN, if it matters).
But after a while, the 3g connection does not works, only wireless. The H symbol is on in notifications bar and seams it is trying to connect but is not possible. The only way to turn 3G connection back working again is to put plane mode on for a while and try again. Or rebooting the phone.
Some similar experience? I' flashed it twice with complete wipe of my zte open.
Update: Surprisingly it's working 3g connection. To get it working fine:
If you are use wireless connection, to use 3g you have: (1) stop wireless connection, (2) enable plane mode, (3) disable plane mode, (4) enable 3g connection. In this way, there is not loose of connection.
But there is another problem. I'm using this smartphone as daily use and the alarm to get up at the morning. Two consecutive days I'm arriving late to my job ;-p . When I get up at the morning I see there is not any signal, no internet, no signal to call. And the alarm do not work at time. When I reboot the smartphone, the alarm sounds (2hr later). The alarm works fine later, but while i was sleeping, no signal, no connection...and no alarm. I will continue telling more things here
How?!

Yes, I used CWM
I can't insert urls for the tutorials, sorry , I'm new user and I have not that permission ;-p
So, I can tell you my problem was as very commented in internet:
"The bootloader on the ZTE Open does not allow to flash or boot unsigned code through fastboot protocol. The stock recovery image will verify the signature of update packages and not allow you to flash self-signed updates"
So write this in google, or this:
"ZTE Open FirefoxOS Phone, root and first impressions"
and you will find how to solve it (if it was your problem too). After that, you shoud install any ROM.

First of all, I have to say that I'm only a simple user, I'm only reading around Internet and playing with the zte-open, so be careful ;-p
If you are root, great. I had problems to do that but I could ;-p
To install any custom rom (I installed v1.3), I installed CWM but you say you have it yet, so I don't know.
In my case I found the answer in gnulinux.vagos.es :
"Compilando/instalando la última versión de Firefox OS para el ZTE Open"
And precisely, the sub-section I followed was this:
"Desbloquear el ZTE para instalar "custom rooms" "
Have fun

Aospa rom 6.0.1

it's finally released for our z3c!!!

I believe need to unlock bootloader first before flashing so take note.
AWESOME!!! Thanks for the information!
Same process then? flash boot.img and zip from TWRP?
Edit: Everytime I do that, my phone doesn't boot. Be it with CM or other ROMs, and I have to flash a stock tft. I'm currently on Concept, since I've never managed to get CM working.
Edit2: tried to install but had to modify the install-script. My device was being recognized as "z3c".
Edit3: error flashing, same thing as CM. Flashing stock MM to see if it has something to do with using Concept before.
Edit4: can't enter recovery after flashing stock MM. Going back to Concept and not sure what to do next
Edit5: that's the error I get in TWRP

I get the same error 7 when trying to install PA. Ive tried modefying the install-script as you did but then i get error 6.
I flashed stock D5803_23.5.A.0.575_R11D_Nordic Generic_1288-5411.ftf and then flashed recovery to TWRP via fastboot but i still get the same error 7 when trying PA after that.
My next attempt is to install that NUT dual recovery and try flash PA after that.
Camera and modem not working
Got it installed (finally...). You need a working TWRP recovery.
What's working:
- WiFi
- Paranoid OTA seems to work; no further build available to try (doubt that it will work without recovery though; see below)
Not working:
- RIL (so no phone or SMS)
- camera
BT and GPS not tested yet.
To be able to flash you need to
- modify updater-script located in META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script (which is actually a text file) of the ROM zip
- open it in a text editor
- replace "aries" with "z3c", save it somewhere (delete .txt if it's saved with this extension; filename must be "updater-script")
- open the zip with 7zip (recommended; dunno if it works with other archivers)
- replace the updater-script with your version in the zip
- place the zip onto your device
- enter recovery
- Factory Reset (no need for a full wipe)
- flash it
- flash MM Gapps directly afterwards (OpenGapps not recommended - use Slim Zero Gapps instead)
- if you want root, flash SuperSU BEFORE rebooting (see below)
Recovery will be lost and can't be installed with TWRP Manager or Rashr after flashing (Didn't work for me - please report if you got it working and if so - how. Maybe with fastboot, didn't try that yet)
Happy flashing...
I'm sure issues will be fixed quite fast in later builds as everything works already in latest Carbon ROM (find it on testing.myself5.de). Maybe @Myself5 can help with that...(?).

From PA's official Google+ post:
We are also announcing that with the help of Sony and their Open Devices Project we will be able to support all 22 Xperia devices on the SonyXperiaDev GitHub Instance. This initial Sony release is for the Shinano family, but the Rhine, Yukon and Kitakami platforms are expected to follow shortly. This is really exciting news for us and it allows us to give you the Android experience we all love on a much wider range of devices.

[Guide] How to ROOT + TWRP + Install Nougat on Canadian LG D852

*** Important: Your Warranty Is now Void. Always take a Nandroid backup. I am not responsible if you damage your phone or lose any data***
Hello everyone. I created this guide for the Canadian D852 since I didn’t find anything that was straight forward. Credit goes to all the developers who made it possible for us to keep using our beloved LG G3.
This is my first attempt to create and share a guide. I hope it will be useful to other users. If you find any error or have suggestions, please send me a message.
Download all the files before you begin. Do not forget to copy your ROM and GAPPS to your SDCARD before you install TWRP.
Go back to Lollipop using LGUP **Always use USB 2 port. It won't work with USB3**:
Download your kdz (d85220… not d85230). I downloaded mine from:
https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-d852-firmwares/
Follow these instructions (works with D852 don’t worry):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64624353&postcount=3
Choose the kdz from your provider. For example, I have an unlocked Fido phone but I want to use it with Bell. So I used the Bell 20k KDZ.
When selecting a file to flash, type *.* and press Enter in the filename for your .kdz to show up. If you do not, it will only show .tot.

Root your phone using this method:
Enable ADB debugging.
Unplug usb cable.
Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information and tap build number until you are presented with "You are now a developer".
Back to Settings screen.
In Developer Options, enable USB Debugging.
Connect usb cable.
Click OK when asked to allow USB debugging in android.
I use the root.bat method. If it doesn’t work go back to step 1 and try again.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3129197
Install TWRP using Autorec:
Copy the rom and GAPPS to your SDCARD before you install TWRP.
Download the file from here:
https://mega.nz/#F!rtI1naZT!LJIKUVpv8fYjrvhpykA4_A!2o433RBZ
Transfer the file to you internal or external SD card.
Head in to Settings -> General -> Security, then scroll down until you see Unknown sources. Tick the checkbox, then hit OK on the next prompt.
Install APK via the file manager.
Open App.
Grant root access.
Wait a few seconds while it does some backup.
Wait for prompt to say that it is ready to flash.
Click the button to Flash TWRP.
Wait for it to be done.
Phone will reboot into TWRP
Update TWRP to the latest version if you want.
Download and install Nougat rom. Tested with CrDroid v3.6 and open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano.

**I’m not sure if it’s necessary but I did it anyway** Flash Dene Hybrid Baseband via TWRP (don’t forget to wipe cache and dalvik after) if necessary (mobile data is unstable etc…).

That’s it! Enjoy Android Nougat!
N.B. That is the only way I was able to get a stable mobile data connection. Only flashing baseband did not work for me.
Thanks, barguin, for a very informative thread.
How is the battery life on this Nougat ROM? I will be switching from Fulmics MM, and my provider is Fido.
Battery is very good. I can do a full day easyly.
Regards!
@barguin: thanks for the quick response. Did you try Exposed for Nougat? I know that Exposed is frowned upon in the CrDroid thread, but there are a couple of modules I would like to try. Thanks.
I do not use exposed...sorry.
Thx

Personally I had some problems with lg flash tool.
There is no need to enter download mode! LGUP will do it for you.
I read the heading in this thread and it said something about not downloading the D85230 file .. and my phone is D8530g as shown in the screenshot .. so is the D85220 file gonna damage my phone .... Sorry for the newbie question !
Sent from my LG-D852 using XDA Free mobile app
The D85220 file will not damage your phone. Instead, that file will install an older Android version on your phone, namely Lollipop (this step is required to gain root). You are currently on Android Marshmallow, and you will end up with Android Nougat if you complete all steps correctly. The procedure is meant to work like this, one step back, two steps forward.
The "20" or "30" in the file names (on that website hosting KDZs) have the following meaning:
"20" = it's a Lollipop file
"30" = it's a Marshmallow file
"40" = it's a Nougat file (I can only wish, there is no such Nougat file).
But seriously, the procedure requires more than a modicum of familiarity with flashing and with using various pieces of software. There is potential for bricking your phone.
No offense, but, judging from your question, I would suggest that you should enlist the help of a friend who is a bit more knowledgeable on this topic.
Guys .. Can I use the ROM on D855?! If not, so how to flash the ROM without getting any issues?!!
Thanks.
Do not flash the rom on the D855 it's only for the canadian variant.
Did this on my d852 and it's stuck booting on Oreo, Nougat, and stock Lollipop. Happened after I installed TWRP, any fixes?
edit: i think it was the roms.. got 3 bad ones i guess lol. fulmics worked.
Just an FYI, I followed the LGUP instruction for my Bell D852 but it was soft bricked, doing the flash using "refurbish" instead of "upgrade" did it for me and I was able to finish rooting my device!
How to root symphony i60.... please reply me
my phone no sound
I do not hear sound from my phone after installing CRDroid. the programs are working. YouTube is opening but I can not hear the sound of the media being played.
I do not hear the sound of the media played when I plug in the phone.
please help me.
Thanks alot man, this was super handy!
Edit: Seems I've got that problem where shutting the phone off bugs it and it won't turn back on unless you remove the battery and put it back in. It also resets the time. Kind of annoying. Seems to happen to some D852s after installing TWRP.

About Team Win Recovery Project
Team Win Recovery Project 3.x, or TWRP3.x for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface so no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Working:
Boots
Restore function works
Backup works
Flashing works
Wiping works
Changing the settings works
Current Bugs [will hopefully be resolved soon]:

Installation Instructions:
There are two methods for the installation:
1: Flashing directly via ODIN.
2: Flashing from existing TWRP or PitchBlack Recovery Project.
Method one:
[MAKE SURE YOU HAVE OEM UNLOCK AND USB DEBUGGING ENABLED]
1: Download the tar file from my Github (link will be given below).
2: Put your Samsung device into Download Mode.
3: After doing that, open ODIN v3.10.7 inside of your PC.
4: Click on AP, and locate to the place where you have saved the TWRP tar file.
5: After doing that, connect your phone to the PC and hit START.
6: The phone should automatically reboot. Then turn it off again and reboot to recovery. Done!
Method two:
1: Download the img file and reboot to recovery of your choice.
2: Select "Install".
3: Press "Install Image".
4: Then search for the place where you saved the img.
5: Flash it and reboot to recovery again. Done!

Bro, don't port more custom recoveries. Take this twrp and resolve its touch problem please. Pls port android 8,9,10 or 11 stock android rom for j210f. But first, please fix twrp's touch on this phone.

Number 1: I don't port custom recoveries. I take my time to compile everything from source with my own tree (because ported TWRP laggy).
Number 2: I'm not listening to you. If you don't appreciate what a 13 year old does, I will just cancel my order of a Hard Disk that I bought specifically for compiling Android Oreo (and save my money)
Number 3: I have already fixed the touch problem, I forgot to put it in the thread. But because of people like you, I won't put it in ever again (Proof: https://mega.nz/file/NcRiHLbB#ly9jT1CPtign_-Di_Eq6ieRYljq-mn09TJm_fKPnEtw ).
Number 4: This phone WILL NOT run android 9, 10, 11 and even if it does, I won't release it because they will be unstable as ****
Na na na nullcode bro we appreciate your work hope u make android soon and amaze to know u are 13 yo and what does mtp means
And pls put touch fix bcz u can't keep it hidden due to some people who doesn't do anything rather than demotivating others
Touch Lag fix:Warning: This method is extremely dangerous because it has a 70% chance of trashing your Touch Screen. I bricked my touch screen panel after doing this (Display works, but the touch does not function). But after you get the display replaced, everything including TWRP works like a charm. However, there have been some cases where the touch screen does not die, and the users' phones were untouched. So, try at your own risk
Step 1: Flash full stock ROM through ODINStep 2: After flashing, setup your phone as quick as possibleStep 3: After doing this, go to the phone appStep 4: Type *#2663#[WARNING: NO GOING BACK AFTER YOU DO THIS. DON'T BLAME ME IF SOMETHING HAPPENS]Step 5: Press TSP Firmware Update (General)Step 6: DO NOT do anything, until it says "PASS"Step 7: Now, reboot your device.(If your touch screen works, WONDERFUL. Now try going to recovery mode to see if the bug is fixed)# This is only for if your TWRP touch screen still doesn't workStep 8: Go back to *#2663#Step 9: Press "TSP Softkey Update" or something (GUARANTEED DEATH)Step 10: After it says PASS, remove the battery from the phone and turn it back onStep 11: Your touchscreen should now be dead. Go to your nearest service center and get it replaced. After doing this, your touch screen inside TWRP will be fully functional. If you want poof, go to this website:

Touch fix has been put because of your request
MTP means Media Transfer Protocol; it's basically an easier way to transfer files between your phone and your computer

That has not been fixed yet
Thank you very much for your great work, I will look forward to the fix of the brightness when using the footprint.
A suggestion
1- they can put the option to hide the notch drop,
2- double tap to lock screen please
i think my storage is encrypted? i cant copy things onto the phone
Thank you @AndroidHQ254. I installed the rom and it runs very smooth. FOD and face unlock works quite well.
I use NikGapps macro from 12/14/20 and it runs very well.
A part of my storage is still encripted, but no idea how to fix. Maybe someone can share his experience.

See added screenshots.
1. error message if you wipe dalvik cache.
2. if you install from twrp recovery from internal storage
3. system is not encrypted only internal storage (sdcard)
My system run very well every think works and I followed your Flashing Instructions .
Maybe it make sense to use the no-vertiy-opt-encrypt script if you install the rom first time?
Works great! Only some issues / wishes:
Sometimes the screen wont wake (if i get a phone call, or unlock with FOD, the screen can sometimes stay all black with no other possibilty than to reboot trough the power menu.
No Home controls on power menu
SELinux is set to permissive. Im using SELinuxModeChanger to automatically set it to enforced every boot so i can use Google Pay.
FOD icon stays on top of first pin lock input on boot.
To flash and root i had to use different recoveries. PBRP for the rom, then TWRP for Magisk.
Other than what is mentioned above, everything seems to work great!
Duplicate
Very interested in this rom. Used a nexus 6p for 2 or 3 years and the last rom I used for it was crdroid rom. It was excellent for that device, but the device showed its age and I had to replace it. I quite like this device and I'm willing to depart from the stock rom. But I'm going to wait for a while until all the bugs are fixed as I use it for work too, so I need it to be stable as possible.
I used that rom the last 4 weeks without any problem. FOD and face unlock works quite well. Any update planned to CrDroid 7.2?
@AndroidHQ254 What is the status of this rom, have there been any updates? Unfortunately, there is no official support for this phone on crdriod site. I'm not sure where to track any progress if there is one.

About missing features - That is a rom side thing
Selinux - For now we are permissive
About FOD - I have not encountered that. Plus I do not think you keep rebooting your phone
