I wonder if the baseband version is a joke by the programmers at Samsung or a little honesty on their part?

The G950F is a regular S8, not an S8+. You are posting in the wrong forum.

Technically that's true, but the update is rolling out now for both the S8 and S8+....so it's quite relevant
Though we need to avoid multiple "Oreo is out now!" threads appearing

Most probably we'll need to wait more until we'll get the Odin files for flashing

We may get the update in flashing Germany 7.0 through odin and then checking the OTA update, isn't it? which 7.0 rom in we should flash in this case?

I know right. I've been waiting for it to hit the Samsung firmware science site. Nothing yet. Maybe a day or two.

nope sitting in the corner and pushing the "search for updates" button... i havent neither for the s8 nor my s8+

I am sitting here with Samfirm open and clicking the "Check Update" button but unfortunately it still says 7.0 Nougat is the current firmware for my Tmobile S8+

Maybe the OTA gets released for DBT, but i expect the full download monday or even tuesday.

Maybe they will start rolling out the updates for non beta users after MWC...

i have latest beta but no update

Whenever the ODIN package is available , is it compatible with FD or only F version ?

I know that since the S7 edge , but Sammobile divided it into 2 F & FD since the S8+
Was just confirming that i will be able to flash my FD with the DBT Oreo when the ODIN package is available

PDA N910UXXU1AOC3

i am really looking for it
910U already has lollipop on all NZ carriers, Papua New Guinea, Taiwan and Fiji on Vodafone. You can safely flash one of those on your device the only issue is the CSC will be incorrect.
i am afraid to do it
i prefer that get the FOTA update
this how it should work..

How do you correct the CSC then?
It has been mentioned somewhere on here before, but I'm pretty sure it only effects the ability to perform OTA updates
i prefer that get the FOTA update
it's ridiculous
that after 8 months that lollipop is out , the note 4 U version is not released
it gives the impression that Samsung device become not relevant after release
it was released a few weeks back. do you mean it hasn't been released for your region?
i don't see any update for my device
i failed to see here any update for my particular device:

i prefer FOTA as normal customer...
You'll be waiting a long while for that fota.

Its ridiculous.. samsung took 8 months to update my phone to lollipop. Became available only yesterday on sammobile for my TGY hong kong device. After using samsung flagships since the galaxy s. I believe ny note 4 will be the last.
Thoroughly disappointed
what is the "p" sign in my note after lollipop upgrade?
Hi,
please advice
Got my update OTA overnight (Smartone).
Battery life got noticeably worse. Have not done factory reset though.
Will see...

Isn't the UAE variant "FD"?
When you check for an update via SamFirm for "SM-G950FD" or "SM-G955FD" using XSG and manual mode, it shows up.

Oreo update!

https://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-android-oreo-uk-unlocked/
Oreo is being pushed out in the UK, to unlocked phones (BTU, im pretty sure) the past day, is it possible for us to flash one of their firmwares on our phones? Or we have to wait for the update to roll out here?

The model that is being updated is the sm-g935f. It runs on a Exynos processor, but your sm-g935v runs on a snapdragon processor. Unfortunately, we have to wait.

My G935V got the update notification yesterday. You may want to try a force update to see if it will send you the oreo update.
NM it was just that 7.0 patch sorry if i got people excited, the google results were saying oreo.

I don't know which ROM to install for my phone, because CSC and Baseband and PDA are different. It cannot be updated by OTA in settings. My android right now is 8.0.

Contact your phone carrier for an explanation, other than that do what other suggestions say and flash with Odin.
Download smart switch first before you try to flash it is Samsung official tool, worked for me, then you don't have to worry about backups and losing your data
