[HELP] LG G2 can not open (stay at logo) (TWRP can't open - boot certification error) - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello my friends.
I installed CloudyG2 3.3 to my LG G2. And on this morning, my phone closed. I tried to open but, i can't. The screen stayed at LG logo screen. So i tried to do Hard Reset with buttons. I said Yes-Yes but there was something wrong.. A mistake. (boot certification error) I can't enter TWRP screen.
I tried to install stock rom with Flash Tool. But i can't.. Again.. Because it stuck at %2..
So i can't install stock rom and i can't open my phone. Can anybody help me?
Sorry my bad English.

First of all power of your phone by long pressing power button until screen light goes off completely
Then keep pressing volume + button and connect it to PC via USB cable. [DOWNLOAD MODE]
Now you must be in download mode, simply flash stock firmware.
If you can't enter download mode then you might be in fastboot mode.
here are some threads..find out which one is related to your problem follow instructions carefully.
[HOW TO] Fix your soft-bricked LG G2 (All Variants)
OR

As you mentioned that you were running a custom ROM prior to this problem then I'm sure that you need not to visit following thread.

Thank you my friend for all your answers. In substance;
I can't open my phone. (Staying at LG logo screen.)
I can't do "Hard Reset" with phone buttons. (Because of "boot certification error" screen.)
I can enter "Download Mode" but I can't loading any .KDZ file with Flash Tool. (Stuck at %2)
My computer can't see my phone when I plug that.
Very hard situation. :crying:

Reinstall LG drivers and PDA
then connect phone with PC in download mode.
open device manager and search for 'COM ports' list if you see your device there then you are ready to go.
If your device is not there then search under 'Other devices' and manually install drivers.
If you can boot into download mode and still you can't see your device in your PC then it's not problem with your G2. It's your PC which is causing it all.
Try another PC.

[Q] LG G2 Unbricking!

Hi all, looking for advice, thanks in advance.
I'm a noob so bear with me with the terminology
I have tried this method - [FIX] NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA on rooted LG G2 - on my LG G2 after a failed attempt to install the CloudyG3 Custom Rom. It restored and installed TWRP and couldn't boot to anything else. I did not have any files on the the phone's internal memory such as a ROM ready to flash.
...a few confusing steps trying to put files on the phone later (which I can't recall now ) I restarted the phone and now it simply became stuck at the LG logo. It is able to go into Download Mode (photo attached) but is different than before which looked like a two arrows in a circle. It does not respond to the 'LG Support Tool, UpTestEX and KDZ file' method. It starts downloading and installing the firmware then stalls at 15% everytime.
So I returned to - [FIX] NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA on rooted LG G2 - using Ubuntu to restore the imgs and get TWRP back at least. Instead of seeing a large list of paths like before:
/dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2 /dev/sda5
/dev/sdb1 /dev/sdb2 /dev/sdb3 /dev/sdb4
/dev/sdb5 .......... /dev/sdb36
Click to collapse
All I see now is just:
/dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2 /dev/sda5
Click to collapse
I don't what else to do now, just holding onto the fact my phone isn't a complete brick! Any solution would be appreciated!

i didnt understand u . can u get in twrp mode ? if u can then u can restore the full download mode from there
can you see your phone on Windows ?
Thanks for replying so far guys.
azher98: right now i cannot access TWRP. It can only boot into Download Mode, or just stays at the 'LG G2 logo' screen.
jelly'K: Whenever I plug it into Windows using USB, it does not recognise it as removable storage or device. No system notifications, no pop-up dialogs and it isn't available in Windows Explorer.

it can boot into Download mode so you can flash .kdz file !
Jelly'K: That's the problem I try to but my computer doesn't recognise it under 'Device Manager'.
I tried installing the drivers through the LG Tools, but nothing again.
When I start up the LG Support Tool to select the KDZ file (with correct settings) it starts to verify the phone and then stops around 15% and an error message comes up saying the phone is not connected.
This is where it should seem easy to fix but not the case!

[Q] Phone bricked, no download mode. Please help.

Hello,
I've looked for solutions everywhere and have spent the last days trying to fix my phone but i can't find a solution. Here is my problem:
I bought a second hand phone, it was working fine however it had been rooted and was running on Cyanogen.
I therefore tried to revert this to a stock EU ROM I downloaded. I was able to do this through the LGMobile Support Tool.
However when the process completed, my phone was stuck in a reboot loop on the LG logo. So I went back to the LGMobile Support Tool and selected 'Upgrade Recovery'.
After completing this, my phone was still stuck on the loop, but now I'm unable to access download mode, or recovery mode.
My phone is detected in device manager as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM4) and LGE AndroidNet USB Modem when plugged in.
I don't know what to do? Please help.
This is now resolved thanks to bender_007

help! my g2 only boots into fastboot

I was trying to install a custom recovery (twrp) by several different methods, with absolutely no luck (but that's another secondary issue at this point) and i screwed something up. Not exactly sure but i think the last thing I did was:
using "Rashr - Flash Tool" i think i went to "flash kernel from storage" then flashed boot.img.
now the phone goes immediately, directly into fastboot even without being connected to computer.
so i tried getting into the stock recovery by holding "volume down" and "power" until lg logo, releasing the reholding until factory reset screen. after choosing yes 2 times i get a
"boot certicification verify" or something message for about a second then it goes to this screen (sorry but apparently i haven't had enough posts on the forums to include clickable links.)

ok, i do have access to fastboot (actually, as soon as i power it on, it immediately is in foastboot mode, even without being connected to computer). i tried using srktool's repair tools via fastboot. it seems like it's working (ie phone shows that it receives command) but that's it. does it take a loooooong time or something?
btw, i can also get into download mode by holding "vol up" while plugging into computer. so, i tried using srktool utilites via download mode and nothing.
also, i just noticed that while connected to computer in download mode, in device manager it shows G2 under "portable devices" with an exclamation point on it.

I haven't taken the back off (yet) but all indications are that it's an AT&T (D800).
What part of my description makes you think that it might be a franken phone?
Did you try connecting the phone in download mode or fastboot to the LG Mobile Support Tool and performing an upgrade recovery?

not sure what you mean by "lg mobile support tool". i googled it and found and installed "lg pc suite". is that the same thing?
nevermind that last question. i found and installed and tried the upgrade recovery tool but for some reason the phone wont go into download mode anymore. when i power it up whith ""vol +" help down, it shows download mode for a second, but then goes right into fastboot mode.
Is it recognized by the program in fastboot mode?
Here's the program I was referring to: http://www.lg.com/ca_en/support-mobile/lg-LGD803
Even though the program says it is for the 803, I used it to recover my international d802.

Thanks for the reply! But when I have phone connected to USB in fastboot, it shows up in device manager as "android device > USB modem phone port". Is that method the right fix for my situation?
ok, so likei said my phone is indeed in fastboot mode, connected to computer via usb (shows up in device manager as "android device > USB modem phone port". using srktool, i can send commands to the phone (command shows up on phone but thats it.....doesnt matter what command, it just sticks there until i unplug the phone then srktool shows the operation competed and phone shows
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwQdFsCQ9KZVSVg3OTZLcXV0N0E/view?usp=sharing
but none of operations actually complete on the phone.

flash stock ROM via download mode or flash custom ROM via twrp.
the first choice (stock ROM) is better
thanks for the responses!!
before i saw your reply, i flashed the stock .tot firmware and now i have my phone back.
but, before all this started, it was lollipop(5.0.2) and now it's Jellybean(4.2.2). i bought phone on ebay, so im assuming that it got lollipop via an ota update. so now i'm looking into flashing it back to lollipop. what's the easiest method to install stock lollipop?

Mode download doesn't work

Hello,
I want upgrade my LG G2 with a new rom 5.xX
This phone have only the operator update. No custom, no trwp, nothing...
I installed drivers and when i want access to download mode. I can't. I use the good proccess with vol up then plug usb cable always with vol up presses.
follow this procces after a little moment my phone show me battery logo charging.
So i can't access to download mode.
I would use this process
t was NOT bricked. I finally tried playing around with the LG Mobile Support Tool (B2CAppSetup.exe). Of course it detected that my phone already had the latest firmware from T-Mobile, but then I clicked Options>Upgrade Recovery.
It downloaded for a while then I noticed it had put my phone into download mode (it said "Rooted" in red letters at the bottom). Then it flashed the same firmware over and I immediately tested, it entered download mode right away. But I didn't end up needing that as Stumproot was able to brute force it now after the recovery flash.
Anyway, I couldn't find an answer anywhere else. Most results also have a bricked phone, but that wasn't my issue. This solved my problem and maybe it could work for others.
but it's impossible for me to install B2appsetup on my pc the installation begin then stop after 5s then nothing.
I have Win 10.
Do you have a solution for me , please??

D802 Bricked after LineageOS 14.1 installation

Hello,
after successfully rooting my G2 and installing TWRP I wanted to get LineageOS 14.1 on my phone. I installed the 14.1-20170410 build and the gapps mini package through TWRP, but after rebooting my phone it won't get beyond the lineageOS loading animation, even after a few hours. So I restarted it, but it still gets stuck. Now I can't access recovery or download mode trough the hardware buttons, it just doesn't do anything, when I try to get into the download mode it just shows the charging screen. The only thing I could get to so far with the hardware Buttons is the hardware key control mode, but I don't see anything useful there. My PC only recognizes the phone as a HID device and I can't do anything with ADB or the LG Flash Tool. I've found guides which deal with a hard brick, but in these guides the phone should be recognized as qhsusb_bulk in the device manager which isn't the case with my phone. Does someone have an idea?
Thank you,
Wambomeister.

Dear Jairo,
Sorry for the late response. I am not sure what is difference between G2 (D802) and (D805) on the software side. Yes, I can try to help you. As I said, it is pretty hard to help somebody without remote control, because firstly, we need to diagnose the situation.
Okay, let's move on.
You will need a computer, USB and of course your LG G2 (D805) bricked device.
Download LG drivers and install it on your computer.
URL: www102.zippyshare.com/v/fBp5aQhM/file.html
Connect your LG G2 device per USB to the computer.
Now press and hold: Power button + Volume Up button (at the same time), until your phone reboots. After force reboot, you should be in Download Mode. If you failed, try again.
If this does not work, let me know. Sorry for the bad English. I hope you understand me.
