Hey does anyone have access to connect? I used to have the older version

The beta is closed, and no one else can join it. Please do not PM me asking for it, as I will not give it to you. As much as I like you guys, I'm not risking getting kicked out of the beta.

anyone can register at connect.microsoft.com you just need a passport account... the beta trial has been renamed to 'Beta for Windows Live Messenger for Mobile' which starts on the 13/11/2006...

I am registered on connect for a longer time, but can't see the beta program you mentioned?
Can you please kick me to right direction? No "coming soon" beta programs.

The beta is closed and will reopen on Monday 13th Nov. Go back to the MS connect website then.

I signed up early also, but never got approved until recently and even at that time it says not available until the 13th. Someone uploaded it yesterday, I just can't remember who or where it was.

Can nobody see my post? I'm pretty sure its what your looking for.

That beta on the 13th is ONLY for WAP phones, NOT for Windows Mobile. Just letting you guys know. It's a completely different beta.

[Q] Swype Beta

After numerous months, my Swype Beta invite has finally been accepted, however, I am currently using the hacked Swype v.2.4.44.10912. Other than getting the latest Swype version & possible future versions, what is the advantage of me using the new swype beta instead of using the version I already have and am satisified with?

Well...it's legal?
Otherwise any benefits of the new updates.
Rarely do updates make an app worse so...I don't see the negative in updating.

Your running a pretty old build.. They are up to 2.15 now.

Yes, but it still works and I like it as-is. I appreciate your reply though.

I'm pretty sure one of the biggest updates in this version is speech to text. Don't quote me on that but I'm in the same boat as you. I have a theme mod on my swype so im not updating but I'm still in the beta. If anyone wants a swype beta let me know. Im not using it.

I hear ya...lol...I've waited months for my invite to be accepted and in the meantime, I've used several betas that were found online but have since expired and then I found my current hacked version that will not expire and I'm satisfied with it as-is. My primary keyboard is still Smart Keyboard Pro. I don't care about using text-to-speech. Heck, if I'm going to talk, I might as well call the person I want to talk to...lol. Anyway, I appreciate your reply. Thank you.

I would prepare for it to expire at some point like the ones before it, however, being that your invite was approved, you would more than likely be allowed to upgrade to the next beta, if there is another one.

Received my invite and dumped my hacked version. Haven't regretted it yet. hacked version even had mic for speech 2 text but I like the looks, feel and speed differences of the legal beta client over the hack.

I've had problems with the beta "locking" on me where I have to reboot for it to allow me to Swype again. (tap typing worked, but it's Swype!)
This happening to anyone else?

When that happens, I usually select to the default keyboard and then back to Swype. That fixes it. No rebooting

Mine has suddenly started saying "this version of Swype was not designed for this model phone" and then won't Swype. (I'm in the official beta). I uninstalled/reinstalled and it worked for one word and threw the same error. I tried switching to another keyboard and back and still nothing. It worked fine for the first few days.
Anyone know if the new update will kill root?

I cant find the app in the Galaxy store, and the apk just gives (me at least) server errors.

It's a straight link to apkmirror. The link works fine, just google search to download the apk. Its no longer in the galaxy apps you have download it from a third party that's why the link is there

Oh I have the apk installed, I grabbed it from your post, its when I launch the program I get "Server error. try again later."

It just let me register finally.

You have be approved to get the update once you register. Don't know how long it takes, a friend from the Uk said it took two days but who knows, there should be a firmware update soon. Hopefully i can get my hands on it.

Make sure you keep checking your settings system update !!
Pretty sure it will be a firmware download sometime soon, if I do find one ill be sure to upload it for those who don't want to wait.

Alright I got it to register late last night, this morning I did a manual update (saw it suggested somewhere) and I am not on Nougat, Woot if your registration is complete check for updates manually.

I was able to update guys. FYI, you have to manually update in your phones settings, not through the app.

Installed and booted. First boot was unresponsive, so restarted and everything came up fine. Had a warning about themes being incompatible, but that was it. A couple apps auto updated and we're smooth now. Developer Menu is already enabled. New notification shade is slick, but will take some configuring to make usable. Icons are way too big and notification cards are really large. Will get screenshots once I get into work.

IF we cannot get the update.zip. how about sharing the samsung account that has beta?

I have been waiting for the update.zip for a long time. but right now we cannnot get it. i was thinking that if someone who has already subscribe to the beta program can share the account. the we can try if it can let us update to android 7

I believe the beta download is tied to your phone via serial number or MAC address. Tried to let one of my Friends use me Samsung account and it wouldn't work. Samsung must have been MAD that everyone was sharing the beta update zip it is locked down now.

I am trying to have them do this to my phone, I got a warranty replacement and they can only have one IMEI per account and the registration servers are being optimized so the will switch it later. Probably opening up beta registration again.

Signed up on Samsung Members app. There should be a banner that you're able see deals or exclusive content. Its scrollable from left to right. At the very top of the page.

I don't know if this helps anyone, but this is where I got the enrollment at.

Guess i m too late. It says max participants reached.
