I believe the beta download is tied to your phone via serial number or MAC address. Tried to let one of my Friends use me Samsung account and it wouldn't work. Samsung must have been MAD that everyone was sharing the beta update zip it is locked down now.
I am trying to have them do this to my phone, I got a warranty replacement and they can only have one IMEI per account and the registration servers are being optimized so the will switch it later. Probably opening up beta registration again.

That beta on the 13th is ONLY for WAP phones, NOT for Windows Mobile. Just letting you guys know. It's a completely different beta.

you know if you own a nexus one you automatically get a voice invite for free right? whatever account you set the phone up with, go to that account on a computer and log in to Google voice and create your phone number.
that and there is a thread full of members willing to pass out invites to other members

I have a Nexus One but when I go to http://www.google.com/voice and sign in with the account that the Nexus One was registered with, it just says "Google Voice: Coming soon". Am I missing something?
did you try clearing GV data and re signing in? or a wipe?
I never had a problem like this, so I'm just guessing

You are based in the USA aren't you? If not Google Voice is not available anywhere else last I checked.
what country are you in? Voice doesn't work for me but thats because its a US only thing right now.

Just reinstalled a new rom, so I don't think that should be a problem. Didn't work before either.

I'm not aware of any topics stating this, so I'll publicize my discovery. If everybody already knows, please forgive me for being the slowpoke.
If you register your product's IMEI on the site you get a coupon for Dropbox that, when inserted, gives you another 2GB of storage.
I'm not sure if other countries have this promo, so if your don't, go into www.samsung.com.br, it's the brazilian site, or chose the country in the location selector. In the lower left corner of the screen there is a big dropbox icon that is the promotion thing. The instructions should be easy to follow even in a completely unknown language, or you could use Google Translator. Here goes a quick run-down anyway:
The first stage (Etapa 1) simply teaches you how to download dropbox from market. If you have to follow those instructions, don't forget to jump out the window afterwars. So just click "avançAr" (next).
The second stage teaches you how to create a dropbox account. I don't believe a single being in this forum doesn't have one, so... next.
The third stage is where you have to create your Samsung account if you don't have one yet. After that, you'll have to register your product via IMEI, which is in Settings - About Phone - Status.
As a last step, you'll get your coupon on the Samsung site, then you have to go to www.dropbox.com/coupon and insert the code.

the site did not recognize my existing samsung account, when i enter my email it wanted to create a new one. this was not possible because i dont have a valid CPF (brasilian tax number)...

I really want this to work, but it's not taking my dropbox email. I'm pretty sure I have a brazillian note.
If you want more space on Dropbox, just make virtual PCs and "invite" them to your account. You don't even need a real e-mail to register now. No need to give out your personal data to a brazilian website.
I've already hit my referral limit (with actual referrals). Who says I'm giving samsung brazil my personal information?
Edit: I've somehow made it to the part where it asks my IMEI, but it's not taking it... Oh well! I am 95% sure my note it Brazilian.

well, it worked for me, using both the CPF and IMEI generators There goes an extra 2gb
I wouldn't be bothering with Dropbox since box.com gives out 50gb, but both Titanium Backup and SafeWallet both use it, so this is my everyday cloud service.

It's a straight link to apkmirror. The link works fine, just google search to download the apk. Its no longer in the galaxy apps you have download it from a third party that's why the link is there

You have be approved to get the update once you register. Don't know how long it takes, a friend from the Uk said it took two days but who knows, there should be a firmware update soon. Hopefully i can get my hands on it.

Alright I got it to register late last night, this morning I did a manual update (saw it suggested somewhere) and I am not on Nougat, Woot if your registration is complete check for updates manually.
I was able to update guys. FYI, you have to manually update in your phones settings, not through the app.
Installed and booted. First boot was unresponsive, so restarted and everything came up fine. Had a warning about themes being incompatible, but that was it. A couple apps auto updated and we're smooth now. Developer Menu is already enabled. New notification shade is slick, but will take some configuring to make usable. Icons are way too big and notification cards are really large. Will get screenshots once I get into work.

I signed up for the beta in the Samsung+ app. Got accepted, installed the beta. If I open the Samsung Members app to submit feedback, it tells me I'm not in the beta. Stupid. If I can't help I don't want the beta (too buggy), but because the Members app doesn't think I'm in the beta I can't even withdraw from the beta :good:

I have the same issue. Two hours on the phone with the 866 number, about 5 different clueless reps, a bunch of posts in the Samsung Forum, nothing works.
I can downgrade the phone using SmartSwitch, but then get nagged to death about reinstalling the beta. Reinstalling the beta doesn't change anything. It's making me nuts.
