I cant find the app in the Galaxy store, and the apk just gives (me at least) server errors.

It's a straight link to apkmirror. The link works fine, just google search to download the apk. Its no longer in the galaxy apps you have download it from a third party that's why the link is there

Oh I have the apk installed, I grabbed it from your post, its when I launch the program I get "Server error. try again later."

It just let me register finally.

You have be approved to get the update once you register. Don't know how long it takes, a friend from the Uk said it took two days but who knows, there should be a firmware update soon. Hopefully i can get my hands on it.

Good news everyone just received the update notification, its around 1505.20mb
Make sure you keep checking your settings system update !!
Pretty sure it will be a firmware download sometime soon, if I do find one ill be sure to upload it for those who don't want to wait.

Alright I got it to register late last night, this morning I did a manual update (saw it suggested somewhere) and I am not on Nougat, Woot if your registration is complete check for updates manually.

I was able to update guys. FYI, you have to manually update in your phones settings, not through the app.

Installed and booted. First boot was unresponsive, so restarted and everything came up fine. Had a warning about themes being incompatible, but that was it. A couple apps auto updated and we're smooth now. Developer Menu is already enabled. New notification shade is slick, but will take some configuring to make usable. Icons are way too big and notification cards are really large. Will get screenshots once I get into work.

Can anyone else confirm? All I get when I check is "check for update was not available at this time. Try again later" I usually get a different message like"your phone is up to date" or "no update found"

We need ubdate.zip file which was downloaded to your phone. It's located in /cache/ folder I guess .
This is my first motorola android phone. How long does it typically take after they release the final build of a sw version for them to officially release to the general public? Also, has anyone who has gotten the update, uploaded it anywhere for others to download or is that even possible with this type of release? Thanks.

This is att causing the delay. If you look in the pic of AC's post, the message was being viewed on MyCSP which is a website att uses for its employees to get any info att related. Looks like bravo users get the shaft again. Oh well, maybe the delay wont be that long.
They better not pull a cliq xt on us and that may very well be true. Even with motoblur this phone can more than handle froyo.. but well see what they say.

Yes it would seem that AT&T is dragging heels somehow. Beta testing has gone well and I have not had too many issues. Patience is the key here I think. Froyo is on the way
I don't follow the Bravo stuff too much being a Captivate owner but my wife just came to me with her Bravo asking me what this message was about.
It was a text from AT&T telling her to follow the instructions to download the Froyo upgrade.
Came here to see what the forum had to say about it.
I'm loving froyo. It's snappier, and I had no issues with settings migration. The youtube app is great, the exchange email client is way better, and I like a few other minor changes.
There are some small features that have been removed, but I haven't payed attention to those because I didn't personally use those features. The only one that comes to mind is screen lock disable had been changed/removed.

Go to settings> about phone> system update> check for update and download update. Its ota

Has anyone else been asked about installing a new system update? I'm getting prompted that the new version is 21.21.15.en.US
I'm weary, maybe there was a root exploit that they are trying to patch? No change log showed up on the phone.

Dude, the phone's been on sale for 4.5 hours. Most people are still at work. Relax.
I'm running 21.21.12 and haven't been prompted for an update.
i can almost bet that is for the VoLTE update.

or the battery duration issues.
Glad someone got this thread going, was about to do it myself, I know we all have similar questions about it. I haven't been prompted but didn't manually check as I was going through settings, was surprised to see one waiting.

Why are you providing such limited information?
Did you hear about this from other news sites or forums? I too, have seen other people comment on blogs saying it's not the VoLTE update, but they didn't state how they knew that either. Or are you in a VoLTE market and have personally tested it?
I was having IMS issues and this update fixed it. IMS wasn't registering and texts would take around a minute for me to receive.

What's IMS?
IMS allows sms to be sent over LTE. Without IMS your texts go through the legacy network and take significantly longer to send and receive than with IMS.

Information - Issue & Solution- Android Pay Not working

Since I know many would come here to look for this issue and resolution as a first step, hence i am creating this thread.
Many users would see HTC U11 wont let you add cards to Android Pay, there will be a pop up saying that the phone cant be verified as it is either rooted, bootloader unlocked or running a custom rom.
It seems the Shipped ROMs are failing the SafetyNet / SecureNet Checks.
In case you are stock and this is happening, please go to to the
Settings -->About --> Software Updates--> There should be an update (bigger than) > 250 MB.​For some reason this update did not show up automatically for me, this update fixes the Android Pay issue.

1.11.617.3 OTA fixed the Android Pay
1.11.617.4 OTA Breaks the Android Pay

Here you go and yes it is 1.11.617.3 and this one fixes the android pay issue.
Received the update in HK. Can confirm Android Pay works again as the device becomes certified in Google Play.

I just updated to .4 and android pay app opens fine, and my previous card is in there. Trying to add a new card get the error.

Yup that is precisely the problem .. going to play store settings and checking device certification at the bottom shows as uncertified and here is another screenshot of what happens when you check for Safety net :
I can almost understand the shipping software having this issue as they just expected all phones to update with the day zero OTA during setup. How the hell is this broken again with a second update HTC?
guys google needs to approve latest version it is probably be fixed within 24 to 48 hours probably even without a need for another ota just google play service update or store update which normally happens on the background

SafetyNet passing for me today also with the 1.11.617.4 update.
Mine passes safety net now too. I noticed that after latest update, Google still says uncertified. Is this a separate issue still to be fixed?

You are right, i reached out to google and had a call with them, it seems they fixed it on their side, i was able to add cards and use android pay.

Anyone Having Trouble Using Textra on Their New Phone?

Nothing happens when I tap the send button. Anyone else having similar issues?
Yes, I am experiencing the same issue. A temporary workaround until a fix is produced is to enable "Send using Enter" in the settings.

Me too, I am back on the stock client for now. From what I can tell Textra needs to adjust touch placement for the notification bar. I was going to send them an email since they have been super responsive in the past... then I thought they probably hate me right now. lol
I noticed that you basically have to tap a CM(1/4") or two under what you actually want to touch. I'm sure they'll get it fixed soon once the device is in more users hands.
Ditto...also can't swipe to delete unless I increase the font size to 150% (Settings - Customize Look)

Understood, adb hasn't always been my friend either and definitely had some trouble with getting this one connected as well. Hopefully Textra will come out with an official update shortly. They are usually pretty good in that regard.

I couldn't stand using the Google messenger app anymore... so I spent a lot longer than I should have doing the ADB commands... I had to use an older version of the Android SDK install I had on one of my computers...lol
It works and yeay... still sad I had to do it. lol
Still can't get the app to work. Super frustrating.
Textra is working fine for me after the new update that essential released.

You really don't have to mess with SDK installs and all that. Just download load minimal ADB and fastboot. It's super nice for stuff like this.

Still having issues with the keyboard and not being able to switch when trying to send a picture. I don't get the choice to send a file only to take a picture.

is this carrier specific? I'm on straight talk and i got the update, but no option to enable it.

Got the update this morning.
Traveling without a computer.
I even removed and then redid the update, nothing! Not a happy camper!
Guys this is a staged rollout even once you have the update until google turns on the feature server side for you you don't get it. So chill and relax it will eventually work.
