Htc u 11 for india - HTC U11 Guides, News, & Discussion

I wish to own it and I can't wait for it any one knows when it will be available and price

I tweeted to htc india early morning. As usual no response from their side
Sent from my ONE A2003 using Tapatalk

I watched a video from igyaan and he was saying that it would be launching in India next month. It would be around 50-55k.

According to igyaan 9th of June and around 55k of the price

5th June is the launch date in Australia

I purchased it on 8th of this month. Any other indian buyers of U11 on XDA?

I'm asking cuzz I'm not on the latest rom and I'm not getting any OTA updates.

I got one OTA as soon as I've completed the initial setup. I'm now on 1.13.400.6.

Same version was mine and I have problems with screen mirror,pc connectivity, and sutterlag with hdr

We're stuck on 1.13, others are getting 1.16 which has a lot of bug fixes and improvements.

There is an option to choose between normal pc connectivity and usb 3.1 connectivity in the settings. Try switching between the two.

It seems that there are two upgrade paths for India / SEA x.xx.400.x firmwares.
1.03.400.4 R3 -> 1.11.400.4 -> 1.16.400.5
1.03.400.8 (?) -> 1.13.400.6
If you're on 1.13.400.6, what was the original firmware version out of the box and what's your CID?

any luck you guys having finding proper case and screen guards?
On gadgetshieldz, the back is protected well with no fingerprints but the front protector is too bad and not working out for me.

All India / SEA U11 phones are dual SIM (htc_ocndugl). I was asking about your CID. You can check it in download mode (press and hold Volume Down and Power) or by installing Simple CID Getter. It might be HTC__059, HTC__060 HTC__622 or HTC__044 or some other similar string.

It's a mystery to me. The good news is if you don't mind a factory reset, you can manually flash the 1.16.400.5 RUU.

got one from amazon, but it had 5 tiny black dusts underneath the display not stuck pixels........DOA issued by HTC within an hour, now amazon is gonna replace the device, also had issue with rear camera lens blur on right side..............how come these devices pass thro' QC-----

Anyone knows if the Solar Red colour will be launched here. I contacted HTC Support they said they have no news as of now.
Also between Black and Silver which looks best in real life. Photos online all look good. I am a Black Phone guy, but for some reason want to try out the other colours this time.

So I am really considering the HTC U11 but I want to see it first in person and check out a few things - audio especially. I am tempted to blind buy it from Amazon but I feel I should wait a bit longer. I was expecting Amazon to give some offers with the HTC but none as of now. Not sure till when the MRP will hold good but it won't fall like LGs for sure. If only the phone was somewhere around 45-46k, I would have picked it up long back. That 50k mark is a mental block but the phone is seriously damn good!
Any brilliant black owners? I am definitely getting the black since there's no sapphire blue or solar red, at least as of now.

European English ROM 1.48 Available Now at HTC European Home

I bought my phone in Belgium, but I assume all your UK S/N's will get you the same download immediately...
FWIW, server "Europe 1" is VERY slow for me -- using Europe 2 and getting 1Mb --
nothing really worth flashing for, well i mean flashing then setting up again, tobad. also is the camera fix intrgrated with this rom ??

yes it is
I wondered the same thing about the camera fix - the camera fix is dated by HTC as being released 2 days after the ROM update so hard to know.
And funny what you said: I downloaded the new ROM but haven't installed it as I'm having second thoughts about the hassle of reinstalling and reconfiguring... I'm interested to hear what everyone thinks (i.e., is there some improvement that actually makes it worth the time).

I would be interested to know if this rom has Copilot8 trial. I would really like to get rid of it.

i meant, that the camera-fix is included
Still not listed on HTC UK site.
I get this message when i try on the Europe one.
"The serial number you’ve provided appears to be invalid. Please try again."
I am assume as mines from O2 they wont let me get it direct from the HTC site.

Bummer. Sorry for the false alarm. I guess I should have known there would be a difference between European English and UK English. What the difference is, I have no idea... maybe the pound symbol on the main keyboard or something?
Please note mine is an O2 phone so it will probably say no to me on either site. Someone with a UK completely unlocked/unbranded phone should check.

Stupid branded phones. I have to either wait for ever for O2 to release a version or try out this gold card method of flashing. Fun Fun.
Bought mine via Vodaphone although it appears to be unbranded. I also get the serial number not recognised text.
tho iam undecided on installing it yet ..as I dont have any issues with my phone except the over bright flash
I need the latest just because its the latest lol. Would be nice if there was a full change log though.

Yes, instead of HTC marketing copy about your staying better connected with your "loved ones"
from the updates that seem to be know at the moment im not going to update yet, i feel my device is running great now i have the camera fix and moving from 1.43 to 1.48 seems to much hassle as i have alot of tweaks and apps to install and configure, if i do install the new one,
Hi,
Is there a quick way to save my Orange rom before I flash the HTC rom (in case I need to revert back to the Orange rom).
Thx,
Ben

Sounds like a good reason to upgrade. besides, I love to stay up to date. It's a must for me.

Any owners or prospective owners out there?

I actually work for Sprint and would consider picking up this phone if it got some decent developer support. If anyone has any basic questions about the device or its specs feel free to ask as I have played with it pretty extensively. It's an HTC device so hopefully it has an unlockable bootloader?
I should be receiving my Bolt in a few days, but I recall HTC stating that phones 2011 and newer will be able to unlock their bootloaders but certain models will be unlockable due to operators restriction.
Hopefully this phone gets some decent developer support.
Nice. As far as we can get it - m9 will get N faster) I'm also wanting to take a look at bolt's audio system, but system dump needed.

By N do you mean nougat? Cause the Bolt comes with Nougat 7.0 out of the box. First HTC phone to get it.
Also I'm not sure if XDA's description of the Bolt where it states the device is a mid range one from HTC is accurate. This is clearly intended to be a flagship. Sure it has the SD 810, but even in 2016 that is hardly a mid range SOC, and the device has many flagship qualities like a 5.5 inch quad HD display, an all metal unibody design with water resistance, large battery, USB type C, expandable storage, latest version of Android, etc.
There is even the whole LTE plus support thing which is a quality that other flagship on Sprint do not have. Oh and it has a 16mp camera with OIS. How exactly is this a mid range?
I have played with this phone a lot at work and it is very responsive. I don't think the SD 810 makes a difference.

Well... After my pizza arrives, I'll start the process of rooting this bad boy. My plan is HTC unlock, flash twrp, flash SuperSU. Once I get root, I'll pull whatever info jcase needs... What's all this talk about data partition getting corrupted after unlock?

G5 plus with amazon ads?

I definitely won't be the guinea pig lol. Just preordered my full price g5 plus 64gb today. Should be delivered on release day. My moto x 1st gen somehow had the pins bent on the usb port. Stuck using my work phone (iPhone 6s) as my main phone. Can't stand iPhones!
idk if i care bout bootloader or not, i have moto g 1st gen which sadly fell down -many times- but last time the LCD screen film got broken from inside -not the screen itself- , too bad i wanted to try new cooked OS on it but it's unusable now
so now i've to order new phone and based on moto policy of getting kinda cheap phone + 99% vanilla android+future upgrades ,then it's what i want except i'm appealing for amazon price than original overpriced one
Just received my G5+ Amazon version and the bootloader unlock is a no go from the Moto site. Assumed as much after the G4.
Assumed so, got my g5+ in today and unlocked and rooted already. Saving the money on the amazon version would have been nice but I wanted to unlock it.

I sure did. There's a youtube video link on that page if you want visual instructions. It's super easy, just make sure whenever you restart recovery/power off in recovery you choose "Do Not Install" every time otherwise you'll brick the phone and you'll have to reflash the stock rom.
Argh, this is unfortunate. I stumbled upon a G4 thread that was saying how to remove it. I was surprised how easy it was so I decided to go purchase a G5 Plus.
Little did I know later in the thread it was discovered an error in Motorola's unlock system that was giving out codes.
The only thing I really look for is the rooting so I can backup apps and what not... really don't mind the ads. Is there any hope for a work around to unlock the bootloader?

Buying this phone

Hi guys. I am thinking to buy this phone in upcoming independence day sales for rs 7500 32gb.
I see good development community for this device. Good custom roms.
Do guys recommend it.?
yes, i would recommend it. i got 4gb 64gb for 7600 in last month. totally worth it. excellent battery backup. can play pubg even on hdr with BAGT tool without lag. FYI oreo 340 firmware is best for this device. which has good brightness and loud sound. also charges faster and gives good battery life. now im bored of using stock rom so decided to try some custom pie roms.
Hey man same thing I have in my mind also.. planning to buy tommorw sale (8th August), came here for review . I have also done some investigation on this. Seems all good with Oreo. Have some bugs in pie and my only concern is it don't have Gorilla glass ..what's your opinion , let me know
Where you are getting for 7500?, In flip-kart they increased the price to 8000
Check 2GUD, Refurbished Phones but Flipkart owns 2GUD so no problem. (Not Promoting)
You can easily get 4/64 variant at ₹7800 and 3/32 at ₹6500.
You don't have to use Google service anymore with this phone of you rooted it, and I've some today and its working great and battery life got more awesome, check this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/asus-zenfone-max-pro-m1/how-to/install-microg-asus-zenfone-max-pro-m1-t3953130 we all can leave the Google out of our life.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Thank you i will try it out.. There are three concerns i have in this mobile

2. Charging speed is slow.
3. Native video calling not working most of the time(I got seen some fix for this).
