I just checked today and i still don't have the update.
I am upgrade now to oreo I noticed two issues
first one the charged while device off is not working:/
second thing i notice bixby vision is available now
its now under test

Just checked and still Nougat. In SE of Asia is about 8 or 9 PM. So i dont think they will release update today.

Yep. It's really disappointing.
Why? Because f**k us, that's why!
Likely just an issue of them taking their sweet-assed time putting their bloatware applications into the firmware, and I'm sure they've been extra slow after the official 7.0 worldwide rollout started and was halted for a whole like 2-3 days after a couple of bugs surfaced.
I always get a new phone by the time Verizon gives me an update. I know someone that got nougat on his T-Mobile GS7 Edge and someone that got her GS7 update last night on Sprint.

I don't think it's related to Verizon bloat considering the turbo 2 is getting the update now. I'm really annoyed that one of the top selling, highest rated phones of the year is taking this long to update.

This! Get it together verizon, every other S7 is getting the update why aren't we? Kinda furstrating and makes me want to leave verizon or starting purchasing unlocked models so I can root them and get updates on a regular basis instead of waiting for Verizon to release an official.

My wife just got her first smartphone and it was the Droid Moto Z Force and it already has Nougat on it. Jealous! That thing is monstrous in its size too. Bigger than my LG G3 was!
Stuck on buggy beta
It would be nice to receive the final update after being stuck on the beta for months, where every time my phone shuts off it resets all my settings and themes. But oh well, I guess Verizon just doesn't care about their customers all that much.

That beta was unbearable. Constantly had issues with text messages on it for some reason. They would keep failing to send and I would miss messages from people as well. Very annoying.
Official Oreo for the US Mate 9 is now on firmware finder, build is MHA-L29 8.0.0.312 (C567). I used firmware finder and tried to install but get the update is not authorized error and can't install. Any ideas on how to bypass the check without rooting or installing twrp? Or since the official non beta Oreo is out there should I just be patient and wait on Huawei to authorize this room and push it out to our devices?
It showed up on the "stock" update, for my U.S. version of the Mate 9 Thursday morning.
Gonna wait till another week or so and try to hit the "check for updates" button to see if I'll be able to get it on my C567

Yes, it was an official update, so I installed it. I was on 7...B190. My phone is 100% out of the box
stock, save for Nova Launcher Prime. The update was from the official channel, so I installed it.
No issues.

I wasn't really expecting it. I figured, with the roll out of the Mate 10, it would be a couple weeks til they officially
pushed it to the USA version of the Mate 9.

Tried to o get an answer from Huawei on when it would be rolling out to the rest of the US models but they were absolutely no help whatsoever, just canned responses that didn't tell me s***, guess I didn't really expect much else. Huawei really needs to step up their game, especially with timely security updates if they want any kind of real market share here in the US.

Totally! I called them yesterday and they gave me the same BS. This is my first Huawei device and I've seen that the IMEI needs to be whitelisted. So that's what I called for. The guy told me that the updates came from my carrier. Yet I told them at least 5 times that I bought it from Newegg unlocked. And they couldn't give me an sweet other then the US Mate 9 site itself.
I seen someone say they contacted Huawei through Facebook and they suddenly got updates 0.o

If the guy told you that updates come through the carrier he is trying to feed you a big line of BS. Since no US carriers support our carry Huawei products. All updates for Huawei phones come from Huawei, even the Chinese varieties. And that whitelisting thing is also a lot of BS. If Huawei wants to break into the US market they need to fix this garbage.

yep i am using a samsung note 5 too since last 2 years and it still gets latest security patches and updates do come lightning quick. once i hear a news that update rolled out i check and boom i got an update. also the servers are fast huawei and xiaomi have pathetically slow servers too.
Any news on the update? 2 days gone since the news on various portals. Really slow process.

It flashed the crap Firmware (this is the actual version)
I can't say much to the functions. I have it for 1 or 2 hours.
It's the german DBT firmware, my S8 was not branded and root free. I life in Germany.
Great - the real rollout is there!

Updated last night in Dubai. The update went smoothly on the 2 S8s we have. No issues so far.

Update: It's finally rolling out, got mine at 9 am EST
I was so excited to see this post, among many others, but I have a T-Mobile Samsung Note 8 and still get nothing under system updates. :/

Bull****. T-Mobile updated the version number page for the Note 8 with today's date, yet NOT A SINGLE PERSON has verified receipt of PIE on the T-Mobile forum, Reddit, or here. I doubt they've even started pushing it yet.
According to Des, the Twitter PR guy, it'll get pushed as early as today and if not, Monday. They are updating the page and preparing to push. It was certified by Tmobile today.

Just checked his twitter account. He states that it was approved today. Where did you get the info on if it doesn't push today, then it will be Monday, because Des didn't say that in his tweet.

Cool. Thanks. Nothing like announcing something on a Friday and then making people wait until Monday for it. CRUEL. Got it at 12:01 am last night, so far I've noticed just a lot of visual changes, the clock is moved to the top left corner, and we get more options for the always on display. We finally get Bixby remapping, and it works really well. The Camera mode selections got simplified, and we even get Dolby Atmos support, Idk if anyone else reads the changelog, but apparently we dont need the Dock anymore for DeX support the Pie update allows us to use the way cheaper cable options. Overall it does kinda feel like a slight performance improvement, but let's be honest the Note 8 wasnt ever a slow phone. How is everyone enjoying Pie?

I used the app from play store samsung update checker and it took me right to the download. Downloaded full firmware in 28 minutes. 1000 times better than crappy Sammobile. Sammobile is absolute trash.
Use the Good Lock app to move the clock where you want (Left, middle, right).
Good Lock is a great companion app for Pie.
