32.3.A.2.33 OTA update Is available for rus beeline - Xperia Z5 General

Today i recieve OTA. Cant find any information about changes.

I was just about to ask about this. I think it might just be the security update.

I can't install this update being on a rooted kernel 32.3.A.0.372. Do i have to revert back to an unrooted kernel in order to be able to install this update?

Oh ****.
I really hope this is just a security update.
I'm just finishing bringing the sumire LineageOS device trees set up with the older stock ROM.

I'm downloading the ftf.will see if there are any changes

Haven't noticed anything yet.

I experienced 3.5 mm audio jack fix (at least, Z5 Compact received it: fix description)

Does this update fixes the low ring volume from the last 32.3.A.0.376 release as well for the phone idle battery usage?

Have tested calling my phone and noticed that ringtone volume no longer drops down, top and bottom loud speaker volume is somehow levelled in loudness.
Even selecting from the ringtone settings you can hear the changes.
I'm now observing the Phone Idle battery usage for the next couple of days if this was also been fixed.
Can others please verify if my findings are correct?
Thanks!

My phone has started lagging so much after this update. Slidings are so slow and laggy, it literally makes my eyes hurt. Navigating at application list or homescreen is like I'm using a 5 years old android. Even the apps like Whatsapp and Quickpic are slow and laggy now. All animations are 5 times more slower and laggy, I don't know why. My phone is one year old and it was always fast as the first day until today. I don't want to do a factory reset (and I don't even sure that factory reset will solve this problem). Do anyone else has the same problem, or have you got any easier solutions than factory reset?

This bug happened for me too on the old update, fix is easy. Go to settings >> battery, enable stamina mode in performance mode and use the phone for 2 mins. Then turn stamina off and phone will be faster as before

It worked, thank you! :good:
But I find this bug very odd though. A simple reboot did not solve it and I rarely enable stamina mode, maybe once in a month. Anyway, thanks again!

Maybe you should get used to factory resets, ive seen a factory reset solving stranger things.

update available in Australia, updated mine last night and so far so good. battery seems to be a lot better now! only issue i noticed once i came off from wifi i had no 4G signal, turned airplane mode on and off and all working fine now, seem to only happen once in a blue moon.

I use the Sony Xperia Z5 Dual, but the update did not come to me! what is the reason of this?

It depends on your firmware region. Some might got it slower than other. For example Central Europe still on .378 while MEA got .33 the new ones.

Got my Z5 Dual with default region on hongkong, since update releases are way too slow on it i've reflashed my unit to malaysia region. After that updates releases shows up as soon as there is one.
Please see screenshot of the regions already on .33 update =)

System Update 1.84.708.1 CL322105

First things first, HTC Desire Z, I am in New Zealand on the Vodafone network in case that makes a difference and running bog standard Sense UI with no mods or ROMs or anything like that.
I have done a search and can't find anything similar anywhere except some asian sites, and I suspect (but hope it isn't) because the phone came from Hong Kong.
Ok, last night an update came through to my phone with the above code, I have lodged a query with HTC but no response as yet and figured you guys may have a better/quicker fix.
Essentially since the update came through the phone has been very slow and glitchy... stalls on background screen before loading app buttons, widgets, menus everything.
So I guess I want to know A: is this a legit update or is it some sort of hack?
and B: can I revert somehow to the last/correct version or am I going to need to install a ROM and start from scratch?
I appreciate your help and if you need any more info just ask.
cheers
Tis legit. HTC seem to be rolling the update worldwide, but very slowly. My dad got it in the UK last Tuesday, I'm still waiting.
His phone seems to be ok. If you're still having problems, try hard reset?
Cheers dude, ok at least that is one less thing to worry about
might give a hard reset a go
I've heard that once you do a update its always good to do a factory reset its like a pc you'll need to give it a good cleaning some time LOL try that

You'll find that if its provided through a carrier, they'll handle the software updates after HTC issues them to ensure their "value added software" or "crap" is loaded on it.
Saying that, mine is a UK SIM free from HTC and I still haven't got the 1.8x.xxx.x update, I'm at 1.72
Heya, I also have the Desire Z, bought from Hong Kong, use on Vodafone, live in Wellington NZ, and also did the update this morning.
Haven't noticed my phone running any slower yet but keen to see the improvements touted though. So far just seen little UI cosmetic changes.
Be sure to go into accounts and redo your sync settings, it put stocks and weather back to real time sync on mine...turned them off straight away.
AHHHHH that could have something to do with the hanging issue. I did a hard reset and initially it seemed better but then once I had re-instated my backed up data, contacts etc, (especially after I shut off the HTC messaging app, and re-synched my google accounts for some reason) it started hanging again.
Maybe the stocks (which I have banished) is trying to sync in the background somewhere? *wanders off to see*
It is a good sign that it is working on other DZ's, main issue seems to be on keyboard open/close events... so might just be incompatiblility with an app I'm running... god I hope it isn't Handcent
Ok, update time, redone the sync settings, removed anything that has been added in the last week or so in case I just didn't notice (unlikely but ???) the hanging problem.
oefox are you using Handcent for your messaging or the standard messaging app? i have removed it and that seems to have made a slight improvement although only very slight... this is driving me mad... may have to try another hard reset tonight and rebuild the data only and start again with apps.
Fake edit: HTC got back to me "try soft reset, hard reset... sorry can't help as phone is HK build, we have passed your query to them... they will be in touch" We shall see?
Actual Edit: Also seems to be destroying battery life all of a sudden, and it seems to think it has been off the charger for 22 minutes... which is odd as it came off the car charger 5 hours ago... hmmm.. definite issues here... looks like an actual rebuild may have to happen :/
You could try an app like Watchdog Lite from the Android Market to see if there is a process gobbling up your CPU cycles? It may be the cause of what's slowing the phone and draining your battery...
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
Thanks for that, I have installed Watchdog Lite, removed a couple of apps that I thought might be a little bit problematic and I will stop playing with it for the day and how the battery reacts to "normal" use i.e. not constantly setting/resetting loading/unloading/deleting/syncing/unsyncing stuff lol... still seems to hang and whatnot though but we shall see.
If that doesn't help I will try a fresh hard reset and build from scratch (not from backup) and see if that helps :/
Call me uninspiring but I really like the default email and messaging. I have found after playing with it for a couple of days now that it will sometimes hang for a couple of seconds when returning to the home screen, shows the background but no icons for a few seconds.
On the plus side my wifi seems to have improved stability somewhat.

I did upgrade the firmware, but I didnt notice any improvement.
I mean everything is just fine
I thought that it would upgrade it to Gingerbread and Sense 3.0
I would be nice to have that version
Cheers
I have an HK Desire Z as well, and have experienced the exact same problem since the system update. I have not tried a hard reset because I'd rather not spend the time, but the home screen "blank and reload" issue is quite aggravating. I may have no other choice but to reset.
I will try waiting a couple days to see if somebody posts an easier fix.
Aha if you have a G2 wait till T-mobile gives it to us... we will be getting gingerbread
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
Ok, good to see it isn't just me, it is definitely an issue and the reset doesn't seem to help much so if you havn't already done it don't bother localhost21. however I think I have found the main culprit and it seems to be the Google Maps updates that are causing the majority of the hanging etc.
if you remove the updates, i.e. go back to the standard version that came on the phone and it seems to make quite a difference so try that.
Unfortunately as i use the navigation function on maps quite a bit I kinda need to keep it so a bit of a catch 22. If you don't really need it though that should solve most of the problem... if any other fixes arrive let me know
Hopefully vodafone NZ give us the Gingerbread upgrade, or google brings navigation out of beta because it really is very good.
Edit: Still hangs, I have become a habitual killer of tasks which is nearly as annoying as the hanging, esp. if you have to open the task manager after it has hung, and it seems the processes causing the hang won't stay dead (auto-killed etc) *goes hunting for basic, stable, rom*
I encountered a new problem in that my notification sounds seem to randomly choose what to play when I recieve sms/calls so I did a hard reset but I still have that issue.
It also still hangs on the home screen if the k/b is open so hard reset doesn't fix this problem so I want to try a new rom
Has anyone done a root/flash yet with a HK Z?
I have a HTC Desire Z on the 2Degrees Network. I'm running Android version 2.2.1 Build numner is 1.84.708.1 CL322105 can I get an upgrade? Vheers.

I rooted it. But I had to downgrade it to ROM 1.34.xx.
As I understand, there is no way atm to root from ROM 1.84.xx

Just received new firmware update p7510UEKMP

No indication of what it is, but it took quite a while to install. Does anyone have any information on this? I couldn't find anything at the Samsung USA site.
Got the update too. It mentions a new market available with the update.

Seems to have cured the wi-fi reconnection lag on my tab that came with the last firmware update.
Haven't seen any other differences yet.
OTA did not work for me. Updating with Kies, as I type.
I updated ota without issue. Also did not lose root, or at least apps that need root and super user still work the same. Seems smother but isn't that always the way. Hopefully browser will not crash like before, will see. Oh, and blazing fast, of course ;-)
installed, only thing I see different is market 3.4.4. This update did introduce the wifi reconnect problem that I have not had before this update. Sorry now I did it, will have to recoinoiter my position since the wifi bug is now included in this rom

Mate, it Can't be Truth! especially part with root remaining after flashing stock ROM.
Me too
Well, this update seems to have fixed the Wifi problems that came with the last update... It all seems quicker and tighter.
Sorry, I was wrong. After the tab has been asleep for awhile, Wifi has about a minute lag before kicking in. Same as before the update.

Did it just appear when you were connected to WiFi as an OTA update? Mine is still stuck on slow laggy 3.1 and have no idea how to get it to do a manual check for an OTA update?? I plugged it into Kies and it said it was up to date?

Mine is a US purchased P7510 - that's why I have been able to update it.
On the downside- the wi-fi reconnection lag has re-appeared after a couple of days. By that I mean - after the tab goes to sleep and is woken up by pressing the power button, it can take up to 30 seconds to reconnect to my wi-fi. If I go to settings and turn off wi-fi and then turn it back on again, it will reconnect in about 2 seconds. Weird ... but true ...
Stock Gallery performance seems a lot better to me.
Zooming large images is much faster and sharper.
btw. I didn't loose my root either

I am using rooted galaxy tab 10.1 3g gt-p7500 with ICS ANDROID 4.
There is no phone voice call feature. How can I enable this
I noticed mild stuttering while flashvideoplayback. Was not there on KMN. Anyone else? Videoperformance decreases with every update ...

Nevermind, it was just the icon for old market. Deleted then added the app shortcut again and it works.
Anything specific we should know regarding this update?

I dont think the new Firmware Update will change anything Kernel related it probably is just a small Bugfixing update so current working KK Kernels should work with the upcoming Update too.
I hope that this will be a bug fixing update to improve the stability, the sound problem, the lag, battery drain, camera and the worst of all the HEAT problem. I never had any problems with the temperature, but now I can't use the camera properly. Sometimes the camera button is not responding at high temperature.

Beside the Sound Bug theres no other Bug you mentioned that you will face if you installed your 4.4 correctly. No offense, i had the Sound Bug too but Drain? My Batterys never been better and my Phone is alot cooler then n 4.3 so no Heat at all. Camera worked fine since i first Time installed Generic FR 4.4.2 and what Lag do you mean?

I mean for sure it is correctly but if you go from Android 4.3 to 4.3.1 its no Problem but from 4.3 to 4.4 Google changed alot again so the safest way to install big Android Updates is to delete everything and fresh install 4.4.2, you can restore your Backup afterwards but Test before if your Bugs are still present on fresh install so you can be sure where your Bugs came from if you restore your Backup. Do you have Root and LB or UB? I mean normally it should work for everyone if they just update it but Sony messed up something i guess but i can confirm only Sound Bug and im using 4.4.2 since Day 1 where French Generic has ben out and alot had Camera Problems and Sound, i switched ROMs 3-4 Times already now without wiping data and beside Sound Bug i cant confirm any other Bug so 4.4.2 should work fine beside the Sound Bug.

Fresh Install for any Update at must.
There should be no need to reset your phone to do an update - what you might be doing is removing apps that may not work properly with 4.4 - you would have the same effect by just uninstalling all the apps you downloaded
I have done a fresh install and I'm still have massive issues with media server causing heat and battery drain issues, I have tried everything to fix this, starting to look at the smartwatch might be the culprit

That was my very first thought on this issue and is still right up there, we all know that a lot of the apps we install on out devices from the PS have permissions that are quite simply ridiculous, I have uninstalled most of the apps I had in an effort to find out what is causing it, the confusing thing is that it is not there all the time, several times I thought I had fixed it.
It would be a lot easier to find it I had some software that could tell me which app was calling on the mediaserver process - I have tried several without a result, I believe that doing the sdcard fix would most likely solve this but I don't have root and couldn't be arsed rooting until there is an easy way of doing it

I don't care.. lol they can have their carrier locked samsungs and such.. one day people will wake up and realize buying unlocked is the way to go..

So far so good. def alot faster now.. even my connection went up..
Tablet bought in Germany but not used there, just got the 1.4 Gb MM update. (see you free space on internal memory before upgrading).
I have notice incredible speed after update but to be fair already there were alot of lag with the tablet (probably something I had installed ...). Apps now, start almost instant like it should on such specifications.
Can't say about battery yet but it seems the settings for saving went away and you could not activate saving other than at 5, 10 or 15 % battery.
A new setting on audio has appear DSEE HX, something that try to upgrade normal mp3 to HD sound quality. Activating this will deactivate ClearAudio+, dynamic normaliser ...) I didnt test it because I use flac uncompressed
Phone has change layout (subject to each person taste) and if you recorded an answer response on your answering machine you will lose it after upgrade (but you don't lose previous recorded messages)
I can confirm that wake up from power but mostly from keyboard (any key) is instant. After some time of inactivity it wakes slower but at practical interval to use (compared with before).
I love to set individual permissions since I have uninstall some apps because of "too generous" permission list.
Camera app: amazing UI upgrade. Where it was so cumbersome to use now is amazing easy to switch. Swipe up anywhere on the screen, can't comment on picture quality as I did;t test it.
I have also noticed less finger prints on the screen and less glare since the update! Amazing job SONY!
... just joking
Hi all,
Just updated my Z4 tablet (Generic Central Europe CE1) and as soon as I launched it for the first time, I encountered few issues. First of all, my SanDisk 128GB card initialized as corrupted. Gave it a try dismounting and mounting again a couple of times no luck and eventually ended up backing up the data on my netbook and reformatting it using the tablet running the Marshmallow. So far so good. Second and the most important of all, I experienced Google Play Store FCs and it still persists. Have been playing with it all day long trying almost everything: clearing both Google Play Services and Google Play Store as well as Google Framework cache, data and uninstalling all their updates rebooting the machine after each step still no luck. Removed my Google account and relogged again, didn't work. Also tried installing the latest version for both the Store and the Services still nothing. I literally have no clue now and am left with no idea at all what is going on?! I recall similar issue with my Z1 the other day but simply updating the Google Services solved the whole drama in an instant. I would be grateful if anyone could help me out with this neverending story.
Thanks in advance,
Jack

I'm on Customized SG R5C and it's running great. It has the usual bloatware but I've uninstalled it.
I got my tablet off Amazon UK and i'm still waiting for the update, same goes for my Z5. SI is 1294-9064 for Z4 tablet and 1298-2610 for Z5 phone.

I have SG. looking for EU in case if better as I moved in here and assuming there would be some smart apps specific to EU - unless ALL builds are same!
Anyone facing bugs in 6.0 on the tablet? My exchange pushmail was working in 5.0.2 but after 6.0, it doesn't connect to the server anymore. deleting and recreating and even nine mail or mailwise couldn't connect to the server. I initially thought it was the server that didn't support 6.0 so i borrowed another brand phone with 6.0 to test and it worked so it's due to Sony's version of the 6.0..

Yes, I faced a bug with my L2TP/PSK VPN-connection. This wouldn't work on 5.0.2 and it didn't work on 6.0 either. It's apparently a known issue on Xperia's, even the Z5 has it on MM.
Luckily, I was able to fix it by selecting Advanced Settings > Backward compatible mode: Enabled.

new pie update 47.2.A.8.24

with February security patch.
new fix bugs?
What's changed, i don't know. Can someone explain?

Seems nothing new
Apps can now deleted from menu (earlier - only via draggin on home screen and then delete)
camera still works without drm keys?
sure
hello, how about battery drain after the latest update? I just saw a video recommending to do not update to Pie, because many features of Oreo and Nougat are gone and functions are limited, and a battery life is reduced. the review was made few months ago, though. are there any major changes with following updates? do you recommend to update? thank you.
Hi, what do you all think of the new Pie update?
What happens if, for once, there is a system update notification, it is being ignored and nothing done?
My first smartphone being HTC, then switching to Samsung twice, i don't recall getting system update notifications every now & then from the mentioned brands.
yesterday I have updated to this version via OTA.
today I notice GPS does not work (tested with Maps and GPS test).
does anyone have experienced this issue?
Not going to update my XZ1 to Pie. It seems Google has disabled third party call recording apps such as ACR within Pie. This functionality is very important to me in my work. So unless I'm going to root my phone in order to get around this I can't use call recording app. This is a major to me and many many others.

weird, I have a good precision (tested inside a building)

I got four darker spots on camera - two are darker and two are barely noticeable. At first I thought it was a hardware issue (dirty lens or faulty sensor), but I found, that this happened to some of the different Xperia phone users before after a software update. Can anyone else confirm that?
Just updated. GPS and camera are fine and everything seems really quick. Or maybe that's because I just rebooted and I don't do that so often
I can't use my device anymore, it's laggy as hell and so bad, that no one wants to buy it for even 150€
