Just received new firmware update p7510UEKMP - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

No indication of what it is, but it took quite a while to install. Does anyone have any information on this? I couldn't find anything at the Samsung USA site.

Got the update too. It mentions a new market available with the update.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1428904

Seems to have cured the wi-fi reconnection lag on my tab that came with the last firmware update.
Haven't seen any other differences yet.

OTA did not work for me. Updating with Kies, as I type.

I updated ota without issue. Also did not lose root, or at least apps that need root and super user still work the same. Seems smother but isn't that always the way. Hopefully browser will not crash like before, will see. Oh, and blazing fast, of course ;-)

installed, only thing I see different is market 3.4.4. This update did introduce the wifi reconnect problem that I have not had before this update. Sorry now I did it, will have to recoinoiter my position since the wifi bug is now included in this rom

Mate, it Can't be Truth! especially part with root remaining after flashing stock ROM.

Me too
Well, this update seems to have fixed the Wifi problems that came with the last update... It all seems quicker and tighter.
Sorry, I was wrong. After the tab has been asleep for awhile, Wifi has about a minute lag before kicking in. Same as before the update.

Did it just appear when you were connected to WiFi as an OTA update? Mine is still stuck on slow laggy 3.1 and have no idea how to get it to do a manual check for an OTA update?? I plugged it into Kies and it said it was up to date?
Cheers,
M
PS: I have the 3G 7500 version....

Mine is a US purchased P7510 - that's why I have been able to update it.
On the downside- the wi-fi reconnection lag has re-appeared after a couple of days. By that I mean - after the tab goes to sleep and is woken up by pressing the power button, it can take up to 30 seconds to reconnect to my wi-fi. If I go to settings and turn off wi-fi and then turn it back on again, it will reconnect in about 2 seconds. Weird ... but true ...

Stock Gallery performance seems a lot better to me.
Zooming large images is much faster and sharper.
btw. I didn't loose my root either

using galaxy tab 10.1 3g as a gt-p7500 phone voice call
I am using rooted galaxy tab 10.1 3g gt-p7500 with ICS ANDROID 4.
There is no phone voice call feature. How can I enable this

I noticed mild stuttering while flashvideoplayback. Was not there on KMN. Anyone else? Videoperformance decreases with every update ...
Gesendet von meinem GT-I9000

When I click on my market icon I get application not installed after this update. The icon looks different but doesn't launch anything.
Nevermind, it was just the icon for old market. Deleted then added the app shortcut again and it works.
Anything specific we should know regarding this update?

New(er) Kies update available

Just got another update. I was on kies 1.5.3.10093-80 so I am not sure yet what this one is.
Edit: kies 1.5.3.10093-81
I'm on 1.5.3.10093-80 and have no update.
Maybe Froyo is actually ready, but it's kies which is holding up the release...
Have you done a manual check for update in the Kies menu (not the widgets at the bottom) ?

You dont need phone connected if you update Kies.
It's more than likely to be a small fix that fixes the registy key error on the previous version ending in 80.
That stopped kies working properly 64bit win 7

Did it? I never noticed it not working
I tried to update from the website but I can only seem to update via the updater in Kies. Downloading via updater now. Hope it works!
EDIT: It worked. had to do it to make sure there were no new builds of JH2 for bell tech support.

It's another large(ish) update, thousands of files again, hardly a registry fix.
When you click the close cross top right, or 'cancel' to close the firmware update check after it reports nothing new found. "MSC.Thunder.FirmwareUpdate.exe" starts gobbling up ram like there is no tomorrow (over 1gb by the time I find it to kill it) and my system becomes basically unusable until I kill the samsung "devicemanager.exe" and "connectionmanager.exe" and wait a few minutes.
This problem only started with 1.5.3.10093-80, and 1.5.3.10093-81 doesn't change it at all. (win7-x64)
I keep getting 'The internet is not connected' message in the update procedure
I'll probably have to stay up all night, clicking retry

I had that once, it made me laugh as its phrasing implied it was something wrong my end though I was browsing the web just fine and spectating a live game with plenty of bandwidth to spare.

Yes, not fixed even in 81 and applies also to Win7-x32. Manually add .../FUS registry key solve the problem.
I get checking updates stuck on there all day. almost I left it on overnight and it just keeps saying checking updates. I went here http://au.samsungmobile.com/support/softwaremanuals/software.do?phone_model=GT-I9000&sw_type=SW and it's still only has 1.5.1_1083. Dam blasted aussie site you think we would be so upto date yet I feel like such a backwards country sometimes.
I've been on v10093_31_1, it didn't offer me an update. Uninstalled and manually downloaded v10093_80, installed it, then it was checking for updates for about an hour. Found one, but gave me at least 50 warnings about 'no internet connection' although the internet was working fine all the time, then it finally upgraded.
I have no problems with connecting the phone to Kies on W7 64bit whatsoever.
edit:
never had any problems with 'MSC.Thunder.FirmwareUpdate.exe' either, through update widget in Kies or executed manually.

Yes not sure why Samsung Australia Support is still pushing the older version unless the versions relate to the builds in some way.
Hell we are still running JG4 Firmware as a release well behind the rest of the world.
Have installed 1.5.3.10093_1_1 from the UK site and it was snappy to say the least.
Currently downloading 1.5.3.10093_80 from the UK. Will check the update options after install.

wifi isue

Just got my transformer the other day, it seems i got one of the good models. It seems pretty well built, no creaking or anything, a little light bleed in the bottom screen, but not anything you would normaly see. Any way, when the transformer wakes up, it sometimes has isues with the wifi, its like its not proberly on my network, but if i manualy disable and enable wifi it works just fine again. Is this a normal problem? caus i dont seem to find any other with the same isue? i am running 3.1 official rom.
other than that, its a nice tablet for the price. i am glad i went with this compared to a samsung tab. (more bang for the buck here def..)
can no one tell me if this is a 3.1 isue, or if its a general isue of do i need to replace my new transformer? really need to know before my 14 days return rights are lost.
This happens on my Chinese model too(stock 8.4.4.7),hadn't when it was 8.2.3.9 though.
I'm gonna root and flash a custom rom,and see if this will be fixed.
tnx for your feedback, guess i will wait and hope it gets fixed. Just waiting for a easy way to root 3.1, then i will probaly try a custom firmware aswell

Unfortunately it sounds like you might have to wait for an update, as Asus downgraded the wifi driver for some reason in the 3.1 version. Either that or you could re-install an older firmware ofc.

Rooting 3.1 couldn't get much easier - check out ANY release to rooted > 1.4 PRime guide. The only difference between 3.0 and 3.1 in the rooting process is you need to download an extra 200mb file to install an update (well downgrade) to the transformer before rooting.

Same problem. It happens when it's been sitting in sleep mode for a while. (It) does not matter if you set it to always stay on or not in settings. I have RMA'd mine due to the dead left speaker but that was mentioned on my list of problems so maybe it will get fixed but I doubt it somehow.

I got my Transformer on release day and it's had this wifi issue since day one. I've been through non-root/stock firmware; rooted/Prime 1.4 and the issue has persisted. I just turn the wifi off and then back on again (when it happens) using the keyboard dock shortcut or a widget on the display. For me it's not a big deal but I can see how it might annoy others.

I've had my Transformer since release day too, and I've not had this issue, until yesterday! Now I'm having it every other time it wakes roughly. I have not changed anything on my router, and I'm using a fixed channel. I'm way out in the country, so there are no interfering stations either. It is funny that it just started up.

Yes, all stock. I'll have to think about what I installed yesterday. I did install that monitor program that Amazon was offering free.

Not helpful, but I still haven't gotten the update. Even connected my phone to the LG PC Suite hoping to get it. Apparently TMobile just likes you more
It adds one new feature of...
- T-Mobile Free Inflight Texting support
Has the following fixes/enhancements....
- Bluetooth connectivity improvements
- Wi-Fi connectivity improvements
- UI improvements for T-Mobile Free Inflight Texting suport
You are lucky you got the update. I been trying for it all day. I even tried to manually update it with the LG Update Tool and it still says my software is up to date, but it is D85110m. I really want D85110r because I am taking a flight Thursday morning and really want to try it out.
Do not install...it also contains security updates that block primetether...

You can usually force the update notification by clearing data and force stopping google services framework. Youll probably have to do it a few times or more but it has always worked in the past. Im skipping this update as it also blocks purple drake root.
Updating a rooted phone?
So I rooted my phone the day I got it. And I really want to try this update because of all the wifi issues I have been having.
Will I need to unroot my phone to do any updates? If not, then will updating unroot my phone? If it won't then awesome, I will find a way to apply it since the update isn't available in the update tool yet (but it is from http://lg-firmware-rom.com).
Thanks!

You might have to do it A LOT.. May even have to reboot too. On my G2 it took forever to get it to work. After you clear data in gs framework are you going back to update center and making it recheck update?? You need to.. There should be a date ending in 1969 as the last update check after clearing data

It never shows that date just the most recent time. I've tried that a lot... 30 minutes of doing the clear cache/data then force stop then clear the cache/data in the update center as well. along with reboots. I may try doing a factory reset.
I am not sure if it matters but I have net10 for service and also the phone is encrypted.

Can I flash the radio by itself?
Also
Will I see any improvements in signal, speed, or anything else?

Yes, the radio can be flashed by itself in recovery, All 3 the biggest improvement I've seen is signal strength. With the last couple radio's I was seeing a lot of random signal drops service would cut out then cut back in for a split second this happened several times a day.

AT&T June Security Patch

Ever since I updated to the June Security Patch, I've been having a problem with the recents screen. Usually about once a day, it will state that there are no recent apps when I push the recents capacitive button. I have to reboot in order for any apps to appear in the recents screen again.
Anybody else have this problem? And more importantly, does anybody have a solution?
I'm having this problem. Just like you I noticed it after the June patch.
---------- Post added at 02:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:02 AM ----------
Forgot to mention. I haven't found a solution. I also have no idea how a security patch can affect the software. I haven't factory reset at all but maybe that could help. I also have no idea why this update came in a month late.
Haven't tried a factory reset either. I don't feel like going through that much work to set it up again. At least not yet. Perhaps the next security patch will fix this issue.

Nope, phone is rock solid after update.
Granted, it would take a few days to test for the issue you're having.
I noticed that this was more than just a security update. The file was half a gig. Also, there is a new useless AT&T app to set up and transfer settings and information between phones, and WiFi calling in quick settings.
But I also feel like the phone is slightly faster than before. Maybe it's all in my head, but it's really smooth right now.

I am having a terrible time with this update and looking for help. My original problem was web browser tabs constantly not loading and eventually the browsers would just crash. I used the default internet app, Chrome, Dolphin, UC broswer etc etc every single one had same problem. The phone is also freezing up at times and randomly restarting. So far I have
1. Wiped the cache partition
2. Did numerous factory resets
3. Took the phone to Best Buy and the Samsung tech reflashed my phone
4. I deleted all my synched google data
I am running out of options. I did have it working for about an hour and thought I was in the clear, but I logged into chrome and all the problems started again and I can not fix them this time. (This was the reason I deleted my google backup data). Samsung said to ship the phone to them, but I work maintenance in a nursing home and am call 24-7 most days and can not be without a phone for 2 weeks. I was hoping to either flash with an older version or at least be able to reflash myself with the new update. Any help would be appreciated.
I updated to the July update earlier this week. I'm now seeing issues with recent showing no recent apps, and my battery life is tanking. I used to get to about 30% at the end of the day and now I can't get through the day without charging. Also, Wifi calling is enabled but doesn't work...it says failure to register.

Try out my phone this morning and back to the same issues I was having. I set the phone up as new as well so I did not transfer / back up apps and what not. For whatever reason my phone is not taking that July update. I do not get it.....

32.3.A.2.33 OTA update Is available for rus beeline

Today i recieve OTA. Cant find any information about changes.
I was just about to ask about this. I think it might just be the security update.
I can't install this update being on a rooted kernel 32.3.A.0.372. Do i have to revert back to an unrooted kernel in order to be able to install this update?
Oh ****.
I really hope this is just a security update.
I'm just finishing bringing the sumire LineageOS device trees set up with the older stock ROM.
I'm downloading the ftf.will see if there are any changes

Haven't noticed anything yet.
I experienced 3.5 mm audio jack fix (at least, Z5 Compact received it: fix description)

Does this update fixes the low ring volume from the last 32.3.A.0.376 release as well for the phone idle battery usage?

Have tested calling my phone and noticed that ringtone volume no longer drops down, top and bottom loud speaker volume is somehow levelled in loudness.
Even selecting from the ringtone settings you can hear the changes.
I'm now observing the Phone Idle battery usage for the next couple of days if this was also been fixed.
Can others please verify if my findings are correct?
Thanks!
My phone has started lagging so much after this update. Slidings are so slow and laggy, it literally makes my eyes hurt. Navigating at application list or homescreen is like I'm using a 5 years old android. Even the apps like Whatsapp and Quickpic are slow and laggy now. All animations are 5 times more slower and laggy, I don't know why. My phone is one year old and it was always fast as the first day until today. I don't want to do a factory reset (and I don't even sure that factory reset will solve this problem). Do anyone else has the same problem, or have you got any easier solutions than factory reset?

This bug happened for me too on the old update, fix is easy. Go to settings >> battery, enable stamina mode in performance mode and use the phone for 2 mins. Then turn stamina off and phone will be faster as before

It worked, thank you! :good:
But I find this bug very odd though. A simple reboot did not solve it and I rarely enable stamina mode, maybe once in a month. Anyway, thanks again!

Maybe you should get used to factory resets, ive seen a factory reset solving stranger things.
update available in Australia, updated mine last night and so far so good. battery seems to be a lot better now! only issue i noticed once i came off from wifi i had no 4G signal, turned airplane mode on and off and all working fine now, seem to only happen once in a blue moon.

It depends on your firmware region. Some might got it slower than other. For example Central Europe still on .378 while MEA got .33 the new ones.

Got my Z5 Dual with default region on hongkong, since update releases are way too slow on it i've reflashed my unit to malaysia region. After that updates releases shows up as soon as there is one.
Please see screenshot of the regions already on .33 update =)
