Unlocked Zmax Pro relocked? - ZTE Zmax Pro Questions & Answers

Got a Zmax Pro last September. Since Metro's coverage is so terrible I had it unlocked, and have been using it on H20 trouble free since then. However, a couple days ago I woke up and noticed that I had the "unfortunately the clock has stopped" error. I clicked on OK, but the error just kept coming back.
So then I rebooted the phone. After reboot I got invalid sim/no service and a notice that said:
"Network Lock! This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible. Please use the device unlock application to unlock the device. Make sure the device has an internet connectivity to use the device unlock application"
However, when I go to the device unlock app, it says the device is permanently unlocked. I took out the sim and reinserted the sim and rebooted. Still getting the same invalid sim/no service message. Phone is on B12 firmware. Hasn't been dropped or mishandled and still looks new. How can a phone that's been unlocked get re-locked? Also, since the unlock app is showing that it's already permanently unlocked, there is no option to unlock again. The app seems to be meant to only be used once. The phone thinks it's network locked but the app thinks it's permanently unlocked, this is weird. It recognizes the original sim as a MetroPCS sim. All others I get invalid sim/no network message. Any Ideas?

Maybe try a master reset? If not call metro

How can I unlock Zmax Pro outside of Metro PCS and not wait the 90 days? Any free unlocks?

is my xda 2 locked?

here is what happened...
got my xda 2 a few weeks which was supposedly "unlocked" and installed a sim card from my local provider and i had mobile inernet for about a week and then a few days later it just stopped. i completely lost the signal and up in the connectivity section it just says "no service". i have tried a hard reset and that didnt help. i still dont know when the heck happned or what is wrong but now things have gotten even weirder. when i toggle between flight mode on and off it prompts me saying "sim card blocked. please enter PUK" does this mean my xda 2 is locked? is it possible for a device to be unlocked and then locked all over again for some reason?
i tried using the unlocking tool from this site but the one that runs off you desktop pc tells me the phone is already unlocked and the one you run off your pocket pc tells me everything is fixed but i still get prompted for the PUK?
your problem is that your SIM card is locked, not your device. This mostly happens when you try to enter the PIN code 3 times without success. The only way out is to enter the PUK code, so you can change the SIM password.
In Europe, this code is mostly given to you at signup time. Here, in the US, they make you call the telcom operator and dig it out of them, if you get a competent person on the other end of the phone line.
So, my bet is that you entered the wrong pin code for your phone -- and maybe you did this without even knowing you did it.
sigh...to tell you the truth i was hoping it was a locked xda 2...maybe that would of explained why im not getting a signal ...
You are not getting a signal because the puk is now required to access the sim/service provider. You should be able to get the puk by calling your provider or online through your providers internet site, you should then have a working phone again. To prove this to yourself just place another sim in the phone.

Sprint SIM Unlock & SCRTN not working

I was on chat support with International division of Sprint this afternoon, trying to get a SIM card to work in my phone.
I once had a UICC Unlock performed on my device (about three months after I purchased it), and apparently Sprint either re-locked it, or something changed in their system so that I can't use it anymore.
With that being said, we did the UICC unlock, but it kept coming up with "session in progress. please try again later". So, we did the ##72786# code, which initiated the SCRTN reset, but, the phone wouldn't restart. The assistant told me that I would have to wait two hours to see if anything were to happen, but the "Session in progress" message was still going on after the SCRTN reset. This isn't normal, is it?
Would anyone happen to know of a way to fix this, so that I can unlock the phone and use the international SIM so I can call, text and use data?
Right now, this is pretty aggravating.
EDIT: FWIW I have already tried the SIM Unlock tool by Autoprime, it does not work. It said it completed successfully, but the phone wasn't able to reboot. It gave me the ability to get international roaming on my Sprint SIM, but not my telenor SIM.

Bought Second hand phone - sim network unlock pin?

Hi,
I just purchased an as new unlocked note 4 from someone on gumtree, they have been posting for years so don't think i have a dodgy phone, i sent my brother to pick the phone up from their home while i was working and he said they unlocked the password while he was there.
But i have just tried a couple of sims and i get the message " sim network unlock pin"
I have tried to contact the person but he works away off shore and don't know when he will get back or reply.
Is there a way to get by this and get my sim working?.......i was planning on rooting the phone anyway.
Thanks for any replies!
You will need to get the unlock code because it's locked to a particular network.
You can usually tell which network it's locked to because it has bloatware from that network installed.
Also in the settings on "about phone" tab it should give you some letters at the end of the firmware version which will tell you what network.
Mine was locked to O2 and I used this guy.
Gave me code in a few hours.

Hi, There does not seem to be any bloatware installed from any network....the phone does look like a bought unlocked phone. Maybe the owner has put a sim lock on the phone himself?
download the Samsung Info app from Play Store, it should tell you eveything you need to know(root wont unlock network)and no way the seller put a network lock, in terms of unlocking you'll need the code. Some service providers supply them at no fee and some at a fee, alternatively you have a plethora of online options usually at a small cost to provide code, gl.

T-Mobile S7 Edge in Canada

Hi guys,
I've recently purchased and S7 Edge thinking that it would be easy to unlock and use in Canada. The phone isn't on any blacklist that I can find and I've contacted T-Mobile and they said no problem for the unlock using the app. But every time I try the app to unlock it based on the email from T-Mobile the app says unlock failed: device is permanently unlocked. But none of my SIM cards work.
I'm wondering if I was to flash it to a Canadian carriers ROM would the device then work with a carrier here or would it still somehow be locked to T-Mobile?
Looking for some advice on what maybe I can do here. Love the phone but it's useless unless I can get a SIM to work.

Locking/Unlocking is not dependable on which firmware your phone is. If your phone is locked/unlocked no matter what you flash it will stay the same. The unlocking process with the app, you will need a Tmobile sim in the first place to do it. After that, you will need to turn off your phone and introduce the non-tmobile sim. When you introduce the non-tmobile sim, do you get a sim unlock message?
One thing that I noticed (I have 2 Tmobile S7 edge at the moment) is the unlocking app is not that accurate or Tmobile servers not up to date. I had a fully paid Tmobile that showed for months my phone was not eligible for unlocking, then one day that I decided to try it again and it showed it was unlocked.
It's weird because at one point it said it was unlocked.... But still wouldn't work... I've called t-mobile 3 times now and have gotten the different answers. First time no problem, will send you to the unlock team... They said use the app, to no avail. Next time, there's a balance owing on the phone you can't and you need an unlock code too, third time oh we'll do it just need to get you the unlock code....
Needless to say I never got an unlock code. And even though I checked the blacklist before getting it, t-mobile keeps their own so it may have a balance owing according to their site. Media device it is then I guess.

Galaxy S8 - Reactivated on Boost - Invalid SIM & OMADM Error

So it's been a year, or 2 I can't remember since I last used this phone. But I bought this phone through Boost, used it on Boost without issues and then switched to another carrier with a new phone and number. Well 2 days ago I reactivated the S8 back on Boost. I received my SIM card booted up the phone and have 2 notifications. "Invalid SIM" and "Please contact Sprint to unlock device." I've spent a total of 2 hours on chat with Boost between 2 days troubleshooting and trying to figure it out.
Other thing I noticed, I do NOT have Mobile Network Settings in my phone. I even tried to search for it with no luck, I was going to check the APN but that also is no where to be found.
So I hopped onto a Samsung discord where someone advised that I re-flash the stock, which led me to this site to download Odin and Frija. Which I did, and after countless hours of trying to figure out why I kept getting a fail, I switched computers and successfully completed the flash. Cool. Phone boots up, but now it's stuck at 32% update. Get out of that, wipe the cache, reset the phone, it loads up.. Yay, NOT. Still no Mobile Network Settings, but I can search the APN, there is no APN and the "ADD" is grayed out. I'm still getting the same notifications "Invalid SIM" and "Please Contact Sprint to unlock device."
I'm not sure what else I can do, or if there's anything else I can do? I don't understand why it's telling me to contact Sprint to unlock, when It's a Boost Mobile Phone, with Boost apps, and Boost load up screen, purchased from Boost.
So it seems this may not be a phone problem, but a Boost Mobile problem. I just talked to a 5th person on chat and they told me that my phone is too old to work on their new network. They refuse to unlock my device, even though during my search for a fix I came across multiple people with my problem who either easily got their phone unlocked, or filed a complaint with the FCC to get their phone unlocked, and their phone worked.
Also, putting my IMEI in on T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless, and Metro all say my phone will work.. but Boost also said my phone would work.. again as it should it's a Boost phone.
