Camera Panorama and Photo Sphere feature quit working... - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello! I am running Android 7.1.2 and Camera 4.3.016. About three weeks ago, I went to take a panorama image. The feature didn't work. Didn't think too much about it at the time, figured a reboot would solve it. Today, I tried again. Same thing. And photo sphere doesn't work either. If I go to either of those modes, say panorama, I get the rectangle with white does, empty circle in the middle. If I press the shutter button, the blue dot shows, but when it is centered in the circle, the circle kind of shows a half of a white inner circle rapidly flashing around the blue dot. Same for photo sphere. And nothing happens. Either phone orientation, horizontal or vertical.
I believe since this issue began, there have been OS version updates as well as camera version updates. I am a part of the beta program, so not sure if something got messed up, but figured the version updates would help. I also tried uninstalling camera app updates, and even reinstalled the camera (updated?) from Google Play. And, bootloader is unlocked but I am not rooted.
Any suggestions as to what might be the culprit here?
Thanks!
Chris

[Q] the camera now shows a 'photos remaining" number in the upper left hand corner
I just noticed it today while i was taking some pictures. I rooted my phone and just have the stock rom on it so far and i installed the black status bar and am/pm removal mod, and changed some icons around. I cant imagine any of those would have caused the camera to show how many photos i can take.
any ideas? I cant find a setting anywhere in the camera app. Stock camera app, too.

[Q] Issue with camera "lag"

So, I've got a relatively new stock, NC4, rooted device. No Safestrap installed. Rooted using towelroot. Only root apps installed are Wanam xposed and Titanium.
When I take a photo with the stock camera app, if the "processing" progress bar does NOT show after taking the shot, the photo seems to have taken properly and all is as it should be.
However, any time I take a photo and the "processing" progress bar appears immediately afterward, the actual photo that saves seems to be whatever is in the viewfinder at the time the progress bar completes! Eg, I take a photo of object A, the "processing" progress bar appears, I move the camera to a different view with object B in it, then once the progress bar completes, I look in the gallery and the last photo is of object B!
Anybody seen this before or know what's going on here?
Thanks.
I had this lag issue as well. After some searching, users suggested disabling "Smart Stabilization" from camera settings. It was a night and day difference afterward, and the pictures look fine to me.

That seems to have done it. Thanks!

Need help. Shadows and blurs are gone (Don't know how to say it specifically)

Last week I installed this (forum(dot)xda-developers.com/grand-prime/themes-apps/portroot-s6-5-1-1-touchwiz-systemui-t3263882) and results in an error. I only can pass my sim pin lockscreen and not more than that. After I reinstall stock 5.0.2, the problem is fixed but another one came up. shadows, blurs are gone. close all app button changed according to which tab is focused on. I attached these screenshots to make it clear.

[Question] graphical glitch? galaxy s5 verizon 900v

Hi- this screen never appeared before and now it does -.- tried wiping factory resetting and this image wont go away from my homescreen. Idk what happened please help looked everywhere of how to remove this but no one has had this issue. This never appeared on stock until after i unlocked my bootloader and installed cm. Tried to use the repair assistant and its still there.
edit: idk why it does not show in my screenshots. here are some photos taken from my iphone... hard to show but there is a white line that is in the background of my homescreen. Shows an sms icon slightly transparent. Annoying **** to look at when I take pics on snapchat. As you can in google playstore and the snapchat photo a SMS icon appears behind the mic in play store and under the switch to facecam icon in snapchat. Does anyone know a fix??
I still have no idea what you are talking about.

lol. ok before on my screen it will be normal fine no graphical errors no visual glitches. pictures wont show it for some reason but if you had my phone in my hand it would show up as SMS icon at the top of my screen like right below the navi bar. Shows up in camera and on my snapchat. Never happened till now. Idk if my screen got messed up or if its the constant switching of roms etc that gave me that glitch. its like a white line that separates the navibar and the rest of the screen at the bottom shows a menu bar on the left corner and some icons. its very transparent under the homescreen display like if the stock rom overlapped
like it shows a small phone screen is under the home screen. in the background- get me?
It's screen burn in. It happens with amoled screens if they are left on a static image too long. You can try some burn in fix tools in the play store. That's why you don't see it in your screen shots it's a hardware problem.

Fingerprint Animation on Camera Shutter Button

Ok, this is weird. A couple of times in the past day I've launched the camera using the Draw O screen off gesture. When I touched the shutter button, the fingerprint animation would appear. The camera still took the picture. I could tap on the gallery to view it but when I go back to the camera, all i got was a black screen with the nav bar at the bottom. When I hit the back button, it took me to the lock screen, but instead of the lock screen wallpaper I could see the camera open behind the lock screen (See attached screenshot). Going back in, the camera worked as normal.
I tried replicating it but I can't seem to on any predictable basis. It's happened about three times so far. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm on 9.0.7. Rooted w/ Magisk v18.0. No TWRP, no custom kernel. Only YouTube Vanced & Systemless Hosts modules installed.
