[ROOT] Root Mate 7 with SuperSU

Hi guys, I found a new method to have a fully functional root with SuperSU instead of Kingroot.
1- Download Kingroot 4.5 from https://sites.google.com/site/androidxdacom/file/Kingroot_V4.5.0.722.apk?attredirects=0
2- Install app and root the phone with it
3- Install Super-Sume from Play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=darkslide.com.supersume), open it and click on the button with the white android: the app removes all Kingroot apps and installs SuperSU.
4- Reboot and enjoy!
If Kingroot app is still present after reboot, just uninstall it by Titanium Backup or another uninstaller; you can also uninstall Super-Sume after the work is done!
SOME ADVICES (carefully pasted and adapted from Super-Sume app description........)
- This is the process that you MUST follow in order for this to be successful !!!
- Once your device is rooted with Kingroot install Super-Sume, do not install it prior !!
- If you have TEMP root OR are on Kingroot PRIOR TO 4.5 you will need to unroot your device first, re-root with KingRoot 4.5 and then install Super-Sume AFTER you are rooted and run it.
- If you are on KingRoot 4.5 or higher you should be all set to just install it and run it at any time after root.

in what sense supersu better than kingroot? sorry ya ..i just need to know the real reason because as i just need basic rooting only.
i know kingroot have that annoying purify features..which troublesome for me
For b312 you just need to unlock your bootloader and instal custom recovery ... And then flash SuperSu with Flashify... Is that Easy...

Supersu is well known by all apps that need root: for example if you have Kingroot and open Titanium Backup it says that you'll may have problems with Kingroot...this not happens with Supersu.
Supersume uninstalls all apps installed by Kingroot, even Purify. If you don't like Purify, but you desire to keep root by Kinguser, you can uninstall it manually!

With my method you can keep the phone original without heavy modification such as recovery installation. However thanks mate!
Just to be clear, does this unlock the bootloader? Sorry for asking, but I'm a total n00b when it comes to things like this, and I really don't want to void my warranty while rooting

I'm new to the Huawei scene, only had the device for about 2 weeks, so this might be a very basic question .... does Huawei allow official automatic updates on rooted devices?
This is not possible on Samsungs for example, so was wondering how it works here before I root it
Thanks in advance for your help.

You can still receive OTA when your bootloader is unlocked. The only time where you can't install OTAs is when /system was modified, regardless of the bootloader status

The "huawei update extractor" instructions are a bit confusing... I am used to Samsung's Odin method which is super easy to use.
With this can we update our phones without unlocking bootloader or what is the use of this ?

download the offlicial ROM and you get the UPDATE.APP,
put it to sdcard, create a folder /dload/,
full path: sdcard/dload/UPDATE.APP
shutdown your phone
press vol up + vol down + power at the same time
system will flash to official ROM

Thank you so much for your excellent thread. It is very well written.
I have NXT-AL10 and currently using B577 Nougat.
I want to root my phone and glad that I found your thread. But I have few questions.
1) In my Mate 8 I don't have the "enable OEM unlocking" in the developer options - Will the rooting process work without this?
2) In the steps you have mentioned B560 for L29 model. Can I use B577 for NXT-AL10?
3) In your guide there are only 2 files for L29. But for NXT-AL10 B577 there are 3 files (screenshot attached). When should we flash the third zip file? I mean after which step?
Please clarify. Thank you.
Yeah, it seems "enable OEM unlocking" is no where to be found in B577.

Sorry for some delay, I didn't see these posts.
Now, if you want root your phone, it's easier. It's like that:
Have a stock firmware without modification, no special boot.img, no root, not to have formatted data
Install this TWRP via adb
Install supersu emui5.0 via the TWRP
Reboot and you're rooted
That's all!
I have a question. After unlocking the bootloader I follow these instructions:
- install twrp via adb
- install supersu emui5 via twrp
Has anyone on this process model AL10 tested and can confirm functionality?

You have another solution with it.
You install this TWRP
You format data
And you install supersu emui 5.0
This solution worked for several persons. In addition, it can also help to see "format data" works fine with encrypted data.
If you want, it will be fun to make a recovery.log after to have formatted the data. It enables me to check if your data is formatted correctly.
If you don't want. No problem! You can make the same with OldDroid TWRP. He said his TWRP works for that, and it's true. With mine, you can't have problems, only that the data isn't formatted. That's all.
