We have functional recovery! Google account bypassed. - Verizon LG G5 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi Guys, I did it ! #joyfull
I purchased broken-glass phone and it was Google account blocked. I was not able to contact the previous owner so I searched the web and found nothing functional.
Bud finally, I did it!
Here are the steps:
Turn the blocked phone on
- in the section when you are typing email of the owner type anything, then long-click the text, press 3 dots , pres "assistant"
- now you are in google now - simply type "settings" in your language; and then press the "System Settings" shown down
- now go to aplications - disable all aplications from google you will find
- reboot / now you have google-free phone :-/
- open android settings, turn on developers settings
- now allow all google things again and you can add your Google acount
Make your phone free!
disclaimer: Use this only on your own risk and only on your own phone! Play fair guys!

are you trolling bro? lol because I really need this :/

There is a way, after breaking out of setup in to the settings menu, look into using LG backup to push your google info from another device. After disabling both setup apps, google play services, and clearing the data/cache for both of course. Then restart. this is the way I bypassed on my lg g5 months ago.

Kindle for Samsung book deals - sign-up problem?

Hi,
I wanted to try the Kindle for Samsung app on my Galaxy S7 edge through the Samsung Apps store, especially the "one book per month free" option.
But upon clicking "Sign in" I get the popup that I already have a Samsung account within the account manager and it won't let me login - it does not show the login form at all. I guess it wants to create a new account and then fails. See attached screenshot.
I have already removed the samsung account and then tried to login via the Kindle app. Upon clicking the sign in button, the login form shows up, then I have entered the credentials and got sent back to the "sign in" page and afterwards the same error message as in the screenshot occurs... haha
does this work for you?

Same problem here ...
thanks for the info, which country are you from? i wanted to contact amazon support (the email listed in the app), they redirected me to Amazon Germany (as this is my home market place) and they have no clue and redirected me to US support again. US support said i should contact them via chat and now the guy in the chat says I should contact Germany again *lol* and the German chat support just told me now I should contact Samsung... haha, reminds me of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI5kwSap9Ug
Exactly the same question
I have met the same problem and already got connection with Samsung HK. The customer service staff told me that they met the same problem as well and they would report this to Samsung. He also advised me to wait several weeks for the update of the kindle for Samsung...
Solution!
This worked for me, from another website: I had the same problem. The fix is pretty simple, since you have an S7 Edge I'll assume you have Android Marshmallow 6.0? Just do the following Go to Settings 》Applivations 》 Application Manager 》 Select Kindle 》Now here you will find "Permissions" click on that. 》 Grant all 3 permissions I.e Contact, Storage and Telephone . Now go to your Kindle by Samsung and click Samsung Book Deals and Voila!
thanks very much, that worked! strange that this is disabled by default, guess they didn't bother to update the app for android 6 yet
Thank you. Didn't think of looking there and was getting irritated.

It works. Really thx.
Strange it is that the kindle for SAMSUNG is not set the permissions as default in A SAMSUNG phone and lacks the notification Of permission allow
Thanks for the tip ...
But you don't have to switch all permissions.
For me it works when grant permissions to contacts. Storage and telephone is still disabled.
Thank you, this worked for me too.

Google Assistant not working with my account

So, I've been troubleshooting this for about a week and my searches are coming up with nothing.
Model: Angler
ROM: ABCrom_angler-7.1.1-20170313
GApps: Mini_Dynamic_GApps-7.1.x-20170215
SU: Magisk-v11.1
Kernel: ElementalX-N6P-4.06
Problem: Google Assistant will activate and hear my query (doesn't matter what the query or command is) then respond with "I'm sorry, I am unable to process your request."
Things that have been tried:
wipe of system and data; fresh install of ROM, open gapps, Magisk su, elemental x kernel.
wipe system and try dynamic gapps.
verifying my online account settings are not blocking Assistant access.
Now here's the strange thing that has worked on every setup this far: I add my wife's Google account to the phone and set Assistant to use it. Assistant then takes all requests. My account is a standard free account (read: not business) from back in the original days of Gmail.
This began to happen a couple of days after Google announced Assistant for all but I was waiting for a ROM update and didn't begin investigating it in earnest until this week.
To reiterate: this is not a problem with 'Ok Google' or voice activation.
Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi... Strange that you get it working with your wife account and not yours. Sounds like some privacy features enabled on your account. Well, that's just a thought...
Did GA ever work associated with your account? You didn't specify it in the first place
Sorry about that.
Yes my account fully worked with Google Assistant before about a week ago. I had been using Get Assistant-Root to enable Assistant on my 6p before Google released it last week. About a day after the rollout began I started noticing the problem. Since then I have clean flashed and just let the Google app update itself to Assistant.
Edit: something to add my account activity on the web is showing Google Assistant taking my query then showing the sorry reply so it's going to Google's servers and getting logged. If anyone has and idea or knows the most direct way to contact Google to have then troubleshoot. This is actually the first time I've been unable to find a solution or Google it out. ?

I hate to say it, but with time the Assistant started working again. Nothing I tried really seen to affect it. Must have been on Google's end.

Guys Please Help! FRP issue

Actually my brother was passed away a month ago. Now I tried to use his device. so I've factory reset it!
Now it's asking mail, I don't know what it is. And no one else know it. Watched hell lot's of videos on YouTube and read more than 100 guides but no use.
This moto g4 plus is running on Android 7.0 | December 1 security patch.
Please help me guys. Searched entire house. No bill found and service center people are asking 2.5k ( ₹2500) I am from Hyderabad, India
If you give the device a factory reset and you want to use the phone, use your google account or make one. Why do you want to log in with your brothers account?

He is referring to the lock put up by Google as the factory reset protection.

You can try doing `fastboot -w` followed by flashing stock ROM, else the only way is the service center.

Do you still have his SIM card..? And his email ID also..? Search his Facebook profile to get email ID or any other profiles may have it..
Then open Google from web/browser, go for forget password, choose mobile number confirmation, if you have luck, mobile number can reset password for his email..

Essential Phone lock-out after factory reset

Hello,
For context: My friend bought an essential phone a while back that her and her sister used for a while until supposedly an update released requiring them to sign into their google account. None of their credentials seemed to work and so they gave up on the phone all together and got new devices. My ancient LG G4 needs to be replaced and she offered me the phone if I could figure out how to get around the lock-out. At first I thought it'd be as simple as performing a factory reset or rooting the phone, etc.
Well, it turns out that they had already tried that. The lock-out persists even after a full factory reset was performed. I double-checked all of their credentials with them to make sure none of them worked. Nothing. Since I am locked out and the phone has been reset, installing rooting programs is much more difficult and I really don't know what options I have left. My only hunch at the moment is that there might be some way to use the shell on the fast loader to interface with the phone, but I doubt I'd have many permissions. I've scoured lots of forums and videos looking for new approaches, but many of them assume I have access to the phone and can install apps, etc. Does anyone have advice? Let me know if you need more info. Thank you!
Are you getting a message like "This Device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device"
If so, that is Factory Reset Protection (FRP). If the password on the Google account used on that phone was changed, it makes it even harder to solve.
I don't know if FRP can be bypassed on a PH-1. You could try searching for it.

I was able to bypass FRP on a used Essential Phone I got from eBay, which was running PPR1.180610.091 (August 2018 Pie release, the first one ever). Most instructions seem to involve using TalkBack or GBoard input settings to navigate to the online Help & Support activity, then searching for a help page that has a YouTube video to launch Chrome from there and download a replacement Google Account Manager and another app to force browser sign-in for Google accounts.
Hopefully, those hints will be enough to help figure out which instructions you find online are legitimate.

Good to know that can work on Essential Pie, I thought it was a fake video the 1St time I saw someone doing that on some other phone!

I appreciate your advice, but I've seen that one before and it no longer works with my release. The video never loads in, can't actually be clicked on to open. I'd need a more modern approach unfortunately.

Can't add google account to Ticwatch pro LTE

Looking for help adding a google account to wear os on Oneplus 6, using Pixen OS 11.
When trying to add the account phone screen goes white and hangs after entering the password. I thought that it might be a problem with the rom, but after reverting back to stock OOS 10.3.7 (android 10) the issue persists. Tried clearing play services data, different version of play services, removing and re-adding the account to the phone, wiping both the watch and the phone multiple times, with no solution. Anyone knows a fix?
Unfortunately, same for me with Fossil gen 5.
My watch was already sync with my account, Yesterday I did a reset of my phone and watch... But it was a mistake because I can't sync again...
I tried also to delete devices in my Google account, delete 2factor Auth,... But always Error 400 or blank page while copying my account.
:-(
Ticwatch pro 3 lte and samsung s21 fe 5g also have this bug. :-(
I have the same problem! Fossil gen 5.
Is there any hope for a solution?
In my case I just sent an email to Google because I saw that it was an url https://accounts.google.com/BootstrapFallback?bootstrapState.......... which give blank page or Bad Request 400

That's not work for everyone... any solution?
Today I tried again and it finally worked without any more modifications....
Yesterday I delete devices in my Google account, delete 2factor Auth and reactivated later.
(I still didn't get reply to my message to Google)
Google assistance just asked me to access to my account logs if they find something I will let you know.
But you can try again a copy, maybe it will work again like me.
Not sure if this is still an issue for you guys but I had the exact same issue with Fossil Gen 5 and Pixel 5. I got around it by installing wearOS v2.39 phone app from apk mirror. Worked first time and was then able to update to the current version after adding the my account
