Take the time to sign up for their free UPS My Choice account and you'll have the ability to change delivery location, opt for free hold for pickup, it will give you a broad delivery estimate (mine said 1-5 tomorrow) you can even pick a 2 hour delivery window within that window of time. There are multiple notification options that can be set to email/text.
I am sure lots of people will appreciate the flexibility in their hotly anticipated delivery! Now try to get some sleep. Lol

I actually just came in here to make a post about the same thing. It is a great option, especially since you would have to be home to sign for the package and the package will be ready for pickup the morning of the day it would have been delivered. Most of the UPS pickup places open at 8am which is great if you can pickup before going to work (what I am doing tomorrow!!).

Pickup N1 from fedex??

My N1 has just shipped out of Indy with an Est. delivery time of tomorrow afternoon. I live 2 hours away so it should be near me sometime today and I wanted to know if anyone else was able to pick theirs up from Fedex? And if so, what do I have to do to go get it?

I called them with my tracking number the night before it was supposed to arrive.
"I got a call saying that a package was slated for delivery tomorrow before 3pm. The issue is, i will be at work and I rather just pick the package up on my way home rather than have your delivery driver waste their time when nobody will be home."
They will leave it at the facility for you to pick up. Bring a photo id and the tracking number and once it is ready for you to pick up (usually around 8am) the online tracking report will say so.

Just submitted for the Upgrade

Xoom Update Has been Completed! See Second Post for Additional Photos and Bottom of this Post for Most Recent update!
I was directed to this site:

All I had to do is fill out my MEID and my MDN on the device.
It then had me fill out my Contact info, Name/Address/Phone Number/Email.
I was immediately given a tracking number for my device that can be used to track the status of my repair at:

Also was advised a Fedex box will be shipped out immediately.
It also stated on the Verizon site that a Standard Dock will be given out while supplies last with the upgrade.

DAY 1 / 9-29-2011 Just registered Online for the Upgrade
Update: Fedex Tracking number states Box should be here Tomorrow. I will get my Xoom ready to go tonight and get ready for it to be sent out tomorrow.
Update: 8:14pm PST - Receive Email from Verizon notifying me that the Upgrade is available, even though I submitted for it 12 hours earlier and received Fedex and Moto emails.
DAY 2 / 9-30-2011 Box is Shipped
Update: So my Fedex Tracking number comes back with this - Sep 29, 2011 9:29 AM PST Shipment information sent to FedEx / Anticipated ship date Sep 29, 2011 / Estimated delivery Sep 30, 2011 by 3:00 PM - Does not appear anything has actually been sent or Fedex has picked anything up. I'm pulling a 7am-9pm shift today so my Girlfriend will be checking at the apartment to see if it came, I have my Xoom ready to go with the packaging slip and she will go straight to Fedex if the box is there.
Update: So the Tracking number with Fedex has updated to show this -Ship date Sep 30, 2011 Estimated delivery Oct 3, 2011 by 3:00 PM PST. So should have the box here on Monday.
DAY 5 / 10-3-2011 Xoom is Shipped Off
Update: Fedex tracking has updated to "On FedEx vehicle for delivery". So the box should be here today, will send my Xoom this evening then if the Box arrives in time.
Update: Received an Email stating the package had been delivered, ran home on Lunch and picked up the box. Inside was a Brown box w/ Styrofoam to place the Xoom into as well as a Booklet explaining how to backup your device and sync it with Google blah blah blah. Then there was a Fedex envelope to slide the box into. I packaged it all up all pretty like and dropped it off at the Postal Annex, they told me it would be sent out at 3:35 pm PST today. So now we'll wait and see. Attached some Photos also.
DAY 6 / 10-4-2011 Xoom arrives at CTDI
Update: FedEx is showing that my Xoom has been successfully delivered to CTDI at 7:54am PST this morning, hopefully mines among the first in the batch and they can get it out asap. (Hopefully will get the Dock as well)
DAY 7 / 10-5-2011 Xoom update appears Complete
Update: So I checked my Xoom's progress through the Motorola Tracking w/ the RMA number I was provided. It is now showing RMA Processed as of 10/5/2011 and also has a SIM number listed for my device. Only 3 fields left to be Populated are Device Shipped, Tracking Number, and Shipping Carrier. So looks like the upgade is done. Just waiting for it to be sent back. I'll check it periodically today....Nothing about the dock though lol
Update: My Xoom is already being shipped back! The Repair Tracking is showing RMA Processed 10/05/2011 Device Shipped 10/05/2011 and has a FedEx tracking number as well. No information with FedEx on the Tracking number except that the Shipping information has been sent to FedEx, will check it in the morning, submitted for Email Notification Tracking.
DAY 8 / 10-6-2011 Xoom is back in Oregon!
Update: So checked the FedEx tracking earlier and received email that my Xoom arrived back in Lake Oswego, Oregon this morning and is on the truck for delivery. Someone else commented that the dock was included, looks like I might have one also as my package weight is more than it should be. Girlfriend is at home to sign for it, if she's out then the apartments will. Off at 3:30, can't wait!
Xoom Delivered and Unpacked
Okay so I got the Xoom, I attached some new photos along with the post. The standard Dock was included in separate packaging. The Xoom unit is my Xoom! Not a replacement. Unless someone misapplied my Zagg Screen protector just for me They included the original plastic wrap on the screen though showing where the buttons and notifications were.
So inside were some pamphlets explaining how to activate the LTE service, says it can take a couple of hours..... I didn't have much time to play with it since I was home on my lunch break but it appears that Root was undone and restored to a stock ROM. Previously I was running 2.2.1 moray on it and had it on there when I sent it in. The Tablet was wiped completely obviously.
So all in all I got my Xoom, I'll have to re-root it looks like and reload Tiamat, I got the Dock. I've not seen the LTE service yet since it still needs to activate apparently. I'll play with it more tonight. I uploaded some additional photos for your viewing pleasure.

Xoom - Root and ROM's
So at this time I've opted to not reinstall Tiamat on my Xoom until I get confirmation that it won't cause issues with the LTE service. (Which is AMAZING) I have Root back and am using the Rogue Arcturus Kernel. As of right now, since I'm reading a lot of issues with the ROM's interaction w/ the new update I'm going to play with Stock for a while.
The 4G/LTE upgrade wasn't huge, as I mostly use Wifi. The speeds are amazing, but honestly, the device was perfectly functional before w/ just the 3G service. As of right now though when I hold my Xoom it just feels complete, like this is what is was originally supposed to be. And finally I don't have to sit and wait around for full functionality. So I'm a happy camper and love my Xoom!

Would be interesting to know if you get your actual device back (s/n etc.) and if they wipe data/re-flash a new ROM on it...
or if they are literally just installing an LTE chip...
Finished mine this morning and waiting for the package to arrive but I think I am going to wipe mine and use the stock images on mine before I send it out. Just to be safe.
I did the process on my Xoom so it all worked but I couldn't print out the packaging slip. The only thing of value on there is the RMA number right? I'll just make my own packaging slip I guess. Can't figure out how to get it again.

You should get an email with the RMA number, and on the tracking website you can use your Contact Phone number and Zip Code or Serial Number to track it.
Right I have the info just couldn't print out packaging slip.

Well I guess no standard dock for you then. You know they will all be gone by then. LOL.
just submitted my request my box should be here tomorrow ( 9/30 ). Just a side note to people who may not be home when the package is delivered, they are requiring signatures. If you will not be home when it will be sent they are allowing you to use a different address, i put in my work address to make things easier.
Since we can change the address to anything we want i would assume anyone who bought a xoom second hand (craigslist ebay etc) should be able to complete the upgrade process without any problem.

I read somewhere that overall process if you don't miss a beat should be about ~6 days. I'm going to be constantly updating the original post with my experience.

Need help!!

I purchased a nexus 4 16gig on 27th Nov & the estimated shipping time was 4-5 weeks.
I wanted to ship it to my cousin who is at LA & was yet to come to India on dec 18th. My plan was to send the phone to his address so that I can have the phone at an earliest date. But due to huge shipping time estimates, I thought it wouldn't be possible for him to get the phone before 18th & I gave an address of my friend who stays in Valparaiso,IN and he is also coming to India in mid of January.
To my surprise today, moments ago I received a confirmation email saying that my order has been shipped. And I have an option called as "Change Delivery address"...I am new to XDA forum & this is my first post, so please excuse me if I have done any mistake. I just wanted to ask you guys,...whether is it okay to change the address now..? Will it screw the process?? It is just that, I can have my phone a little early. Or else I need to wait until mid of January.

Call Google Play and ask them directly.... or check your UPS tracking # and see if you can change it.
If you just got the email now the device has likely not let the Google facility yet (usually picked up by UPS each night). So you might have time to change it... BUT... you could also risk the device ending up in "limbo" meaning who knows what'll happen!
You can always ship to me instead... I promise, I won't keep it.

Mine actually came yesterday. I had it shipped to work and I was refreshing the tracking all day.
I normally wait for the Mailroom guy to bring packages to me, but within 5 minutes of getting the delivery notification, I was on my way to the mailroom. Caught the guy in the hallway with my precious in his hand. He was like, "I was bringing it to you, no need to come find me"... But I NEEDED to come find him that day
Was the first one to walk out with mine this morning. Even after having the Note 3 this feels like a completely new experience. Can't set it down!

OK, just got the phone about an hrs ago. It's beautiful. This time, I didn't have to sign for the package. Fedex rang the bell and left the package on my front door. I opened the package and there it is, a beautiful beast, with SIM card already installed, no headset ( battery is 64% out of the box, plugged in the fast charger and 30 min later it's fully charged. I was able to use wifi before activation. I ordered this to replace my old Galaxy Nexus with 2gb data plan, but my wife saw the phone and she wants it, so I have no choice but call VZW and active the note 4 under her unlimited data line. Everything went pretty smoothly. Enjoy your new phone people. It's nice, beautiful, fast and smooth. TW launcher is smooth as ever, so people with bad thinking about TW, think again. It's not the same as before. I will update my findings with battery life and performance after I have time to check out this beast..see all later and enjoy your new phone!!! Happy phoning,,haha..

10/31 Ship Date for White N4s

Anybody get a shipping notification for their white N4 that are supposed to be shipping "by 10/31"?
Yes. Mine was to ship by 10/31 but the order status now says it has been shipped and I have a tracking number. I ordered a Note 4 White on Oct 18th. This change in status happened in the last few hours.

I would love to know any updates on this as Best Buy has literally no information and I pre-ordered on the 11th...

Search: Did you preorder through Verizon? Here's a way to get extra/internal information about your preorder (I am a noob and can't post links yet)
It was all jibberish until I got to the first comment, beginning with "Pro tip," which provided the URL to use instead.
Replace YOUR_PRE_ORDER_CONF_NUMBER with your preorder number (found in the email confirmation they sent you). As far as I know, it only works with the preorder number (more digits, provided for online orders), not the order number. I placed my order over the phone via the retention department and it appears their method still generates an online preorder number. I can not attest to what order number type is provided for orders placed in store.
Then, replace YOUR_LAST_NAME with, well, your last name, as it appears on the order. Once the page loads, you'll get some valuable data that you may or may not be able to interpret. Order status, tracking information
According to the provided information, my order is in processing but no shipping label created yet. I have been scouring the web for more information to confirm whether or not Verizon uses overnight or two day shipping, with Saturday delivery selected. From what I have found:
* there seems to be conflicting data on the ship method, though Verizon confirmed in forum replies that it is indeed overnight
* most of the recipients designated for the 10/23 expected ship date (earlier pre-orders), received their phones on 10/23...this gives validity to iconicExpShipDate = expected DELIVERY date, as you will see in the key on the reddit post.
* the same designees that received their phone a few days late seemed to either have incorrect shipping addresses, unsuccessful delivery attempts or were otherwise subjected to force majeure
* there appear to 10/23 designees whose date was pushed to 10/31, most originated from Best Buy and Amazon, and at least one Verizon customer who used the aforementioned link and generated an error code indicating a problem with the payment
* if your card has been charged, you can expect a shipping notification within 24 to 48 hours
* there are still people out there who pre-ordered on opening day and still have not received their phone!
In summation, I am expecting to receive my order on Friday, 10/31. If the link comes back clean under item details as of Thursday night, I will be devastated. I am really hoping I have the N4 in hand to distract [me] from the fact that I am an almost-thirty yo... female... waiting in line at midnight on Sunday, for a video game.
I'm glad i ordered the white quick i was lucky and got it in the 23rd. I figured the black ones would have had more people waiting for stock.

When I check my order status I see the order number, not the preorder number, a row for the tracking number but the field is blank. This happened yesterday afternoon; it had previously said in process and gave me an estimated ship date. Now there is no date.
I checked the Iconic status I previously posted about. The status changed from 'C (we have received your order and is in process),' to 'S(per the key, we have sent you order for processing).' The expected ship date has been deleted, and a shipping message was added, "your order will ship on 10/31."
I called Verizon again this morning. I was told that my order had been shipped, but there was no tracking information yet. The rep said that the order was placed for two day shipping. I confirmed with Verizon on three separate phone calls that it would be for overnight shipping... each time the rep originally said two-day, I said it was incorrect, and after a brief hold was told it was indeed overnight.
I have read of too many people on various sites having their orders mysteriously cancel, I am concerned about having no order information (with an order date change to boot). I am certain the tracking number would be in their system when the label is created, so I find it hard to believe that my order has been shipped. I did read of one gent on reddit who suffered a similar experience. He called Verizon to inquire and within minutes the FedEx driver arrived at his door.
I could sure use a morale boost. If you are reading this, I'd love to hear that you received tracking information or better, your devices! For the BBY customers, my heart goes out to you. I hope you got the $200 gift card at least.

I did mine in store on Sunday. My ship date was 10/31. I got a tracking number today that it's being sent 2 day and will be here Monday. Meh.

Sorry, Ditto, [FedEx] just picked [my phone] up [from Verizon] 20 minutes ago apparently [according to the tracking information, two day shipping with Monday delivery]. Tears [of sadness].
I preordered at the store on 10/23 and I got my tracking number yesterday showing it will be delivered tomorrow
Pre-ordered mine on VZW's site and got it today via FedEx. Came way before it was anticipated to reach my door.
Everyone who pre-ordered it should be getting some kind of notification soon via e-mail.
