I just plugged my phone number into the UPS tracking site reference number field (for the millionth time in 24 hours, I'm embarrassed to say) and got a tracking number. As of 10/14, 'billing info received' which means it goes out today, 10/15. If I'm very, very lucky -- I'll have my toy on Friday! I tried to change it from 'ground' to something quicker with UPS on the phone, they said it wasn't possible I was told T-Mobile could do an 'intercept' to correct shipping addresses, but shipping methods can't be changed once a package is in the system...
If I have to wait the weekend, seeing 'arrived at destination' at the UPS site, I'll die

I pre-ordered the day pre-ordering started. I was told that we'd be getting our G1's 'a little before' the 22nd, but didn't believe it. And really, it is just a little before. UPS Ground isn't exactly speedy.
'Billing Info Received' just means the shipping label was created, and the shipment entered electronically. It's been my experience that actual shipping occurs the day after the status of 'Billing Info Received', which is dated 10/14. In fact, I order a lot of stuff and I don't recall it ever taking longer than that -- hopefully, this won't be the exception
I've read 'rumors' that pre-orders are shipping on 10/15, the appearance of my tracking number makes me thing these rumors are true.

me too... I ordered mine on September 24th... I figured it would ship today... with 1.5M orders it might take a while... I WANT MY G1 NOW!!!!
I got the same message for the 2 phones I ordered, I think it will be a few days before they ship.
Mine (black) is shipped and I expect to receive it on this Friday or upcoming Monday.
I tried and nothing!!! DAMMIT MAN!!!
I was told the day after I ordered, by a T-Mo rep, that I could start checking UPS on the 15th and that my tracking info should be in there.
I have to have mine re-routed to my office to make sure I get it and don't have to go pick it up at the sorting center. Hopefully it's on the website today or tomorrow. Glad that the shipping reference method is actually working.
Someone on some other android forum told me that they're all shipping out on the 20th and that they're all coming 2-day express. Sha! Right! Like they're going to pony up the extra cash to ship millions of phones express on the same day without charging us extra! It makes way more sense to ship them ground starting 7 days earlier than the 22nd.
I've checked the UPS site so many times that I'm a bit surprised I have not crashed their servers yet. Nothing here either. It seems people who are getting billing info confirmation are all on the west coast http://htcsource.com mostly in CA and WA.

Ahhh.
I'm in Chicago, so it may be awhile before I show up in the system if that's how its' going. Course I'll still be checking every couple hours like a geek anyway.
na.... far east coast and mine info was available. but just stinking billing info. no transit info

Would you tell them to give you Diane in Orlando's phone also, I will meet you in Atlanta to pick it up !! Nothing has changed on the UPS website for my tracking either .. Not even an invoice. It's as if they are saying "who are you and what do you want ?"

I do a lot of shipping and UPS doesn't update their website as soon as the label has been printed. I would guess that those that have shipped will see something on the website tonight or sooner.
i went to the ups site and entered my number but it says " >>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again. " i dont know if im am entering my number in the right format
should it be xxx-123-4567 or xxx1234567 or anything else?

What time did you place the order?
I think the cut off time for EST where I live is 5pm.
I ordered mine on a Friday at like 3am in the morning, got it Monday, so it was technically overnight since they do not ship on weekends.

Depends on when you ordered, there is a thread about 30 pages long a search should bring up. And yes, it really is over night as long as you ordered in time for them to process it before the daily pick up.
What time did you order it?
Also, you will get an email update, and can check the status in your google checkout, it gets updated very quickly and accurately.

Yes you should have it tomorrow.
Tomorrow would be PERFECT. My wife just had surgery, so I'll be home all day watching over her, with plenty of time to root and get acquainted with my Nexus. If it comes Wednesday, instead, I'm screwed, as I will be back at work and in meetings from 8am-5pm.

Woohoooo! I just looked at the status page on Google Checkout, but it still says "Not Yet Shipped." Should I be concerned, or is it just that it hasn't been updated properly yet to reflect the true status of the order?
Hard to say... I would think it would have been updatede by now. IIRC, not only does the order have to be placed, but the payment has to clear as well. As well, I think the actual cut off is 12 noon for a "guarantee" since FedEx typically does large pick ups like that around 3ish... they make all deliveries by 3PM, then start on their pick ups.

Yeah, just check in the morning to make sure, but I am thinking you missed the window if it hasn't updated yet. Mine updated 30 minutes after FedEx did the initial scan.
I ordere mine at 3:00pm eastern. By 8:30 am it was delivered the next day.

You guys are lucky. After it was first released we all had to pay for overnight shipping when it took 3 or 4 days. Those were some of the most painful days...
I ordered mine today, but chose ground shipment, does anybody know how many days does this take? (why ground - there is no hurry , do not want N1 there tommorow)
I ordered from from Europe and shipped to california. (the tax was 51 $ - that's a lot) And a friend will bring it to me.
I hope it will arrive in less than a week!

I sold G1 and now I went back to Windows mobile 6.1 on my old HTC p3300. Now I see that ANDROID is superior in any way. This Wmo SUCKS! Wha ta peace of SH*T!

Agreed. I just got my UPS tracking number within the last hour. No scheduled delivery date yet, but I'm fairly certain it will be Monday at the earliest. I'm kinda bummed, but on the plus side, it gives the awesome devs here time to refine their work. I'm hoping by Monday, we'll have a fully functional rooted stock ROM.
EVP bummed me out
Pre-ordered through EVP thought I would get it friday or maybe earlier. Turns out that wasn't the case I called a few time to see if my order had been placed they gave me the run around saying it had. I kept checking CC to see if a charge a been placed by sprint long story short, they hadn't placed my order to ship by 11:00am so I cancelled it, but before i did that i went to my local sprint store, did anyone elses store have food and drink for the customers? Anyway the nice lady at the sprint store used my info that was in the system from EVP order to set me up soooo I GOT A EVO ON LAUNCH DAY!!!! vs waiting til monday or later

Well the EVO arrived today so as it turns out EVP isn't so bad I just got caught up in the Launch day excitement. Can't wait to get home and actually get my hands on it!!
Engadget is reporting that Sprint has sold out on their initial stock of EVO's for their stores and online, and likely BestBuy and The Shack.

Man, I just ordered mine yesterday online and it arrived today (free overnight shipping) ...Phew, that was close!
i had called up 3 different sprint stores and this is what i was told
store 1: sold out, will get new shipment either friday or tuesday
store 2: sold out, taking deposit to reserve one (45 people already on list)
store 3: had few in stock (Silver Spring, MD)

Here in Ohio no better, Went to best buy with my buddy, was quoted as Evo shippment tomorrow and now it's been moved to a nice lovely ambiguous "sometime from wednesday to friday" Here's hoping sooner rather than later but oh well. Here's hoping we can survive the great evo shortage of 2010! (*side note* kinda regretting not pre-ordering sooner, I was 8 people into the 2nd batch forcing me to wait an extra week. BAH!)
its good news, i just wished they had more accessories on launch day!
Decided to give in and pick one of these up yesterday. Couldnt find one in stock anywhere. This morning I was prepared to call every Radio Shack in the area. The 1st one I called said someone just took themselves off the list and that they had one available. I put my name on it, and picked it up 20 minutes later.
I have 2 friends that got theirs this same way. I did pre order one for my girlfriend though while I was there and she will be getting it on Friday.
I just got mine today and I had to call 8 or so sprint stores to find one in stock, ends up the store I got mine at had 10 in stock still from the first shipment and they had given a lot of their first order of 300 to other area stores. Once I got there it took them about 2 and a half hours to activate the flippin thing, my voice and 4g connected but my 3g never came up, took them forever to sort it out. They actually had to activate two evos to figure the problem out. I got 2 boxes and goodies out of the deal though, I am in the kc area too.
Which Sprint store was this? Im also in the KC area and have a few friends wondering if anyone has them in stock. Sounds like that store may be worth a shot.

i ordered mine online last night at 11pm central time and it was available waiting for it to come now ughhhh!!!!! all i have been doing is making lists of apps and what i want to try (been a windows mobile guy since the tilt days currently have a HTC Touch Pro 2 unlocked gotta sell that once my EVO comes in cant wait
Which Sprint store was this? Im also in the KC area and have a few friends wondering if anyone has them in stock. Sounds like that store may be worth a shot.

I scooped mine up from the studio Sprint store, downtown in the power and light district, like 14th and grand, also I got a call from the Sprint store that I was on a waiting list at and they had one for me, i was number 15 I believe.

I was going to order it online last night and then dumb me second guessed myself and decided to see if i could get lucky in a store today. Now I realize that was a very stupid idea.
how are some of you getting overnight delivery; i placed my order around 12pm PST yesterday and i still haven't received a delivery notification or any updates; it still says waiting in the warehouse for processing; this is annoying me since it's supposed to be overnight delivery
As theres a thread for every other retailer, i wondered if anyone else had preordered with vodafone? For me online tracking said not dispatched yet, called them about 3pm and their status said pending dispatch, the guy seemed optimistic that it would be dispatched before the end of the day however i have not had any notification. Any other experiences?

Spoke to a guy over the online chat, and he said it was down on my account as due for delivery on the 28th, but nothing has come up yet on my tracking, so I'm assuming at best, it will be dispatched tomorrow. My order should be delivered to a local store as I'm away from home at the moment, so hopefully it gets there by Friday..
Did you happen to get a separate notification that you'll be receiving the headphones as well?

18th as well. When I ordered I actually went though the process with an advisor, as I specifically asked if they still had headphones available when I ordered, to which I was told yes. But nothing came up in my tracking, so was just wondering if it had on anyone else's.
I ordered on the 18th or 19th, got a confirmation over the phone that I would definitely be getting the headphones and that I would receive everything on Thursday 28 February 2013. I received a confirmation email on the 19th and within it I was informed that DPD would be in touch with tracking info etc.
I called VF this AM and they have advised that they haven't received stocks as yet. Their website still showed pre-order until about 9am. Somewhat annoying!!!
I pre-ordered the phone yesterday (27th) and received an update today morning saying that the phone is currently out of stock.
I pre-ordered mine on the 14th Feb for store delivery. Not heard anything yet, I've a feeling that I won't be receiving it this week.
Some news from Vodafone...the handsets are in and my order was just received by the warehouse at 16.30 and is in process and my headphones are there too...
With a bit of luck I will get a text message in the morning informing me that the phone will be delivered tomorrow, worst case is I will receive the phone on Monday...
Here's hoping for tomorrow, fingers crossed!!!

Just got a despatch confirmation, odd thing was i got a duplicate confirmation email about half an hour before this, first received on the 19th. Just waiting on a dpd tracking number now

Online on the 18th, obviously that doesnt mean much, someone else has pointed out that the colour could be causing the delay, mines black so i would assume they would be better stocked with that?

My order seems to have been processed as an online order as the guy in the store went on the website and ordered it whilst I stood there. I've also got an order number starting WEB-000000etc. I went for black as well so hopefully it won't be too far away, still waiting on the DPD email though...
just arrived, at exactly 11.34, kudos to dpd, complete with headphones, the phone is huge compared to my arc!
