Just submitted for the Upgrade - Xoom General

Xoom Update Has been Completed! See Second Post for Additional Photos and Bottom of this Post for Most Recent update!
I was directed to this site:

All I had to do is fill out my MEID and my MDN on the device.
It then had me fill out my Contact info, Name/Address/Phone Number/Email.
I was immediately given a tracking number for my device that can be used to track the status of my repair at:

Also was advised a Fedex box will be shipped out immediately.
It also stated on the Verizon site that a Standard Dock will be given out while supplies last with the upgrade.

DAY 1 / 9-29-2011 Just registered Online for the Upgrade
Update: Fedex Tracking number states Box should be here Tomorrow. I will get my Xoom ready to go tonight and get ready for it to be sent out tomorrow.
Update: 8:14pm PST - Receive Email from Verizon notifying me that the Upgrade is available, even though I submitted for it 12 hours earlier and received Fedex and Moto emails.
DAY 2 / 9-30-2011 Box is Shipped
Update: So my Fedex Tracking number comes back with this - Sep 29, 2011 9:29 AM PST Shipment information sent to FedEx / Anticipated ship date Sep 29, 2011 / Estimated delivery Sep 30, 2011 by 3:00 PM - Does not appear anything has actually been sent or Fedex has picked anything up. I'm pulling a 7am-9pm shift today so my Girlfriend will be checking at the apartment to see if it came, I have my Xoom ready to go with the packaging slip and she will go straight to Fedex if the box is there.
Update: So the Tracking number with Fedex has updated to show this -Ship date Sep 30, 2011 Estimated delivery Oct 3, 2011 by 3:00 PM PST. So should have the box here on Monday.
DAY 5 / 10-3-2011 Xoom is Shipped Off
Update: Fedex tracking has updated to "On FedEx vehicle for delivery". So the box should be here today, will send my Xoom this evening then if the Box arrives in time.
Update: Received an Email stating the package had been delivered, ran home on Lunch and picked up the box. Inside was a Brown box w/ Styrofoam to place the Xoom into as well as a Booklet explaining how to backup your device and sync it with Google blah blah blah. Then there was a Fedex envelope to slide the box into. I packaged it all up all pretty like and dropped it off at the Postal Annex, they told me it would be sent out at 3:35 pm PST today. So now we'll wait and see. Attached some Photos also.
DAY 6 / 10-4-2011 Xoom arrives at CTDI
Update: FedEx is showing that my Xoom has been successfully delivered to CTDI at 7:54am PST this morning, hopefully mines among the first in the batch and they can get it out asap. (Hopefully will get the Dock as well)
DAY 7 / 10-5-2011 Xoom update appears Complete
Update: So I checked my Xoom's progress through the Motorola Tracking w/ the RMA number I was provided. It is now showing RMA Processed as of 10/5/2011 and also has a SIM number listed for my device. Only 3 fields left to be Populated are Device Shipped, Tracking Number, and Shipping Carrier. So looks like the upgade is done. Just waiting for it to be sent back. I'll check it periodically today....Nothing about the dock though lol
Update: My Xoom is already being shipped back! The Repair Tracking is showing RMA Processed 10/05/2011 Device Shipped 10/05/2011 and has a FedEx tracking number as well. No information with FedEx on the Tracking number except that the Shipping information has been sent to FedEx, will check it in the morning, submitted for Email Notification Tracking.
DAY 8 / 10-6-2011 Xoom is back in Oregon!
Update: So checked the FedEx tracking earlier and received email that my Xoom arrived back in Lake Oswego, Oregon this morning and is on the truck for delivery. Someone else commented that the dock was included, looks like I might have one also as my package weight is more than it should be. Girlfriend is at home to sign for it, if she's out then the apartments will. Off at 3:30, can't wait!
Xoom Delivered and Unpacked
Okay so I got the Xoom, I attached some new photos along with the post. The standard Dock was included in separate packaging. The Xoom unit is my Xoom! Not a replacement. Unless someone misapplied my Zagg Screen protector just for me They included the original plastic wrap on the screen though showing where the buttons and notifications were.
So inside were some pamphlets explaining how to activate the LTE service, says it can take a couple of hours..... I didn't have much time to play with it since I was home on my lunch break but it appears that Root was undone and restored to a stock ROM. Previously I was running 2.2.1 moray on it and had it on there when I sent it in. The Tablet was wiped completely obviously.
So all in all I got my Xoom, I'll have to re-root it looks like and reload Tiamat, I got the Dock. I've not seen the LTE service yet since it still needs to activate apparently. I'll play with it more tonight. I uploaded some additional photos for your viewing pleasure.

Xoom - Root and ROM's
So at this time I've opted to not reinstall Tiamat on my Xoom until I get confirmation that it won't cause issues with the LTE service. (Which is AMAZING) I have Root back and am using the Rogue Arcturus Kernel. As of right now, since I'm reading a lot of issues with the ROM's interaction w/ the new update I'm going to play with Stock for a while.
The 4G/LTE upgrade wasn't huge, as I mostly use Wifi. The speeds are amazing, but honestly, the device was perfectly functional before w/ just the 3G service. As of right now though when I hold my Xoom it just feels complete, like this is what is was originally supposed to be. And finally I don't have to sit and wait around for full functionality. So I'm a happy camper and love my Xoom!

Would be interesting to know if you get your actual device back (s/n etc.) and if they wipe data/re-flash a new ROM on it...
or if they are literally just installing an LTE chip...

Finished mine this morning and waiting for the package to arrive but I think I am going to wipe mine and use the stock images on mine before I send it out. Just to be safe.

I did the process on my Xoom so it all worked but I couldn't print out the packaging slip. The only thing of value on there is the RMA number right? I'll just make my own packaging slip I guess. Can't figure out how to get it again.

You should get an email with the RMA number, and on the tracking website you can use your Contact Phone number and Zip Code or Serial Number to track it.

Right I have the info just couldn't print out packaging slip.

Well I guess no standard dock for you then. You know they will all be gone by then. LOL.

just submitted my request my box should be here tomorrow ( 9/30 ). Just a side note to people who may not be home when the package is delivered, they are requiring signatures. If you will not be home when it will be sent they are allowing you to use a different address, i put in my work address to make things easier.
Since we can change the address to anything we want i would assume anyone who bought a xoom second hand (craigslist ebay etc) should be able to complete the upgrade process without any problem.

I read somewhere that overall process if you don't miss a beat should be about ~6 days. I'm going to be constantly updating the original post with my experience.

Anyone receive their Atrix yet?

I got a call from At&T about a problem porting my number from Verizon (yes I am making the switch back). I mentioned they could not port yet as I don't have a phone because it is on pre-order. Cust Service said that I would be receiving it in a couple of days. I got the call yesterday so i am hoping to have my shiny new Atrix tomorrow or the next day.
Could be Cust Service has no idea what they are talking about but you can only hope
If that is the case I might pre order through att instead of best buy then...

Hello everyone. I'm new to this section of XDA - I've had a Captivate for some time (4 of them actually) and have been quite dissapointed at times with it. Overall a great phone, but lots of un-necessary issues (imo) I just pre-ordered the Atrix 4G today and was told I could recieve it within the next 7-10 days at the soonest... I really cant wait to see what the devs here on XDA will cook up for this killer phone (based on specs). If the dev support is anything at all like it is for the Captivate - this is gonna be a great ride with the Atrix 4G
I am hoping we get alot of captivate devs to switch. I know there is a good chance that the bootloader will be encrypted, and that might keep the ROM chefs away, but I really hope we find away around it. i am going to be submitting as much of my capabilities to the effort, but I am new to android. I have done a small amount of program development on iOS with jailbreaks. so hopefully I can help.
Also, as I have said before, Devs are the lifeblood of these phones, and I am willing to put my money out there as a substitute for my experience. I am willing to help any motivated devs by donating $20-$40. Hopefully we can get a rich community surrounding the phone. that way when i am still using it 18 months down the road, I will still be happy with it.
I didn't get that email at all and I preordered on Sunday morning when the preorder option first popped up. I did get my confirmation email right after preordering and another email today ( 17th) , but not the one you have. Am I still going to get my atrix on the 22nd? Or did something get messed up?

i called att and they said that everyone that pre-ordered the phone will get it on monday the 21st. so 4 days from now.

I freaking hope so...it's my birthday! lol
I just received shipped email and it is showing delivery by 3pm on 2/21.
When I did the checkout on the AT&T site it told me it's scheduled to be delivered on or before March 6th... if people are getting them as early as the 21 or 22 I sure as hell hope mine arrives around that time as well.

I'd be seriously pissed if FedEx left it on the porch without signature and it got stolen after waiting for this phone. Good thing it's a holiday and I'm working from home all day!
I opted to have mine shipped to the att store - just incase i wouldnt be home when FedEx showed up. This way i dont have to worry about it being left on the front step and sitting there

You know, I was looking for that option and didn't see anything about it. Where was this option during online pre-ordering to have it shipped to a specific store? Maybe next time I pre-order I'll be able to do this.

I didn't see it either. But most likely, you could simply call after placing the order, and have the CSR make the change for you.

Clearance delay

This morning, I see this on my fedex tacking info Clearance delay. It made me a little nervous so I called fedex, askd the lady what this is about, she tells me. So i have to give a description of my Samsung galaxy box so they can identify it, and get its on its way. Good thing I found this early to minimize any more delay I hope?. Anyways Whats everyones experience with a "Clearance delay"If you have ever run into it . Did it slow everything down, delay your shipping. or not have much effect.

I also have a clearance delay in Memphis...what information did you provide for the box description? Has your tracking information changed yet?
EDIT: Just called fedex and they said the package is en route to my zip code and will be here at the scheduled time...so I guess its just not updating the tracking information online.

I also have a clearance delay but I call fedex and the automated system said that it was on it's way to the shipping facility that delivers to my zip code. My online tracking still says clearance delay though.
How accurate is Fedex's phone automatic system?

Just talked to a rep. They said it was delayed in customs so I gave them some information and they said they would call back to let me know the package is on its way...So in response to your question, the automated system is not accurate.
OK. I had to fill out some forums that Fed ex emailed to me, then scan them and send them back! What a pain. Now i will be getting the package tomorrow rather then today. Booooooooooooooooooo anyways If you have a sg2 come check your tracking often so you dont have to wate any longer then u have allready
Funny when i called FedEx they said they received the forms needed from the SHIPPER (handtec) and dint ask me to fill out any form.
They said they hope it will get released today for tomorrow's shipping.
I can't believe handtec does not know they need to fill out customs forms when shipping internationally.

I use to work for fedex express. Putting a description on the outside would be a bad idea. People would help themselves to a five finger discount.
I submitted the forms, but the tracking page status still shows "clearance delay". Did anyone have their status updated?
I'm hoping I can at least get the phone tomorrow... With all this hassle it almost makes me regret buying this phone from abroad (especially since it looks like the official US version may be shipping this month or next).

Mine is the same way. I verified all paperwork this morning around 10AM CST. I suspect they will all get approved in a batch. Not to worry, we'll be playing with our shiny new toys tomorrow!
Edit: I just got the following reply from the Customs Agent with FedEx when I asked why the status hadn't changed at all.
The package status will not change until early tomorrow morning. You can check the website in the morning to see if it is out for delivery.
My status just got updated to Int'l shipment release. Finally some good news today!

Mine has also changed from clearance delay to Int'l shipment release. I hope they will ship it out tonight.
I called a rep about this and she told me that fedex has overnight delivery on this shipment so *cross fingers*
i may have helped you all.. my agent stated they didnt have the fcc release forms from handtec so i found the fcc id picture. and the online fcc form filed them out this morning and emailed scans in to fedex to the specific release agent.. called later and they said they now had all the paperwork they need.

:: sighs :: So, I'm wondering if this happened to anyone else or if I'm the victim of fraud. They, finally, shipped my ASUS and I got the shipment on Thursday, July 24, but I only received the keyboard dock. The box indicated that it was 1 of 1 and that the tablet and keyboard should both be in the box, but when I opened the box I was hearbroken to only find the keyboard dock. I, IMMEDIATELY, called Groupon Support and the customer service rep. said that they would be shipping the tablet separately and that if I haven't gotten it in 5 days I should call back. Has anyone else heard of the separate shipping? I hope they ship it and that I don't have to go after them for the tablet.
For those who ordered the tablet + dock, have you received both devices yet? If so, were they shipped separately?
Could be a simple mistake I their part. Just wait the 5 days and see what happened.

:: SQUEE! :: IT WAS ON MY PORCH WHEN I GOT HOME! Didn't get any notification that it would be delivered today, but I'll take it and run because IT'S HERE! YES! ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL! I've got it docked and charging right now. I tested out a few features and everything seems to be working just peachy.

Ah, you're lucky. The deal was over before I even saw it.
Hey guys just thought I'd chime in. I received the dock today (via UPS), and I see in my Groupon it lists tracking info for the purchase (finally..!). The tracking must be for the tablet itself, because it is a different tracking number, and will be here in a few days. Also worth noting, the dock did not include a charger or anything other than the dock itself (in excellent condition, I might add..). I sure hope the package with the tablet itself contains a charger! good luck

when I bought mine (refurb through newegg) it was a bundled deal, but they shipped 'em separately.

ASDA Pre-order

Hey guys has anyone had any details about ASDA dispatching the xperia z preorders?
I'm pretty sure that when i selected the free delivery option, that it mentioned something about it being a guaranteed delivery date of 28th Feb. Does anyone else remember anything similar?
I ordered on the 14th of Feb.
Mine is sitting on 'Back Order' haven't heard anything from ASDA.

I've rang them 3 times today and been told something different every time! The one said it was out of stock when I ordered, another one said tomorrow and then the third one said a couple of weeks
I think there's literally 0% of it coming tomorrow

I spoke to them about 6pm and was told "your order isn't showing as back ordered on my screen. You see the phone isn't released untill tomorrow, so it can't be dispatched before then. If it doesn't say dispatched by this time tomorrow, call us back"
This was after I'd already explained the guaranteed 28th Delivery. Not holding my breath for getting it on release day. Even though the accessory pack was a big bonus, I picked Asda because no other site had commited to a delivery date at that point. Seems like another examine of Asda over promising and under delivering.

What was the guarantee? If they fail to deliver on the guaranteed date then what is their penalty?

I saw some sites got their deliveries late and had to dispatch on the 28th, i wonder if maybe this was the same for asda.
Mine still says on backorder. Just went through the process of ordering again to see if there were any delivery options this time and there were options to leave with neighbours etc. This wasn't an option when pre ordered. I am not sure if it means anything though.
I have seen on game forums that asda have form for this sort of thing too. Gonna see if I can find more info.

Where does it say that Sony are offering free headphones?
Update: just got off the phone with asda, while my order still says on back order, they're are saying that they have the phone in stock (as reflected on the site) and awaiting dispatch. Though I'm not certain I completely trust that!
The asda website looks like they've done a hasty removal job of anything to do with the preorder, so much that they still have photos of the preorder accessories, with absolutely no mention of coming with any.
I wouldn't imagine anyone would have felt the need to take proof of them promising delivery today, but it was plastered all over the site. It was even in the hidden T&Cs regarding the accessory pack saying you wouldn't actually get the dock and case today, something along the lines of "on 28th February you will receive the Bluetooth speaker, and a voucher for the case and dock redeemable from Sony stores"
The phone is being advertised as "in stock" for new orders, so I've got my fingers crossed that they are just being really poor at updating people's accounts.

I just remember it being mentioned when in the checkout process, i have searched online and others have mentioned the guaranteed delivery date for game pre-orders form asda direct in the past.

I've decided to cancel my preorder with asda and get them directly from sony with the free headphones (which more then makes up for the extra £29). Though I'll probably sell the headphones.
Though even the order cancellation is a hassle, apparently it has to be passed to a "technical team" and will take 24 to 48 hours for an email to come through stating the order has been cancelled.... I don't think I'll ever use asda again!
Can't believe the way ASDA have handled this pre-order. Even their website shows 'in stock', but my order still says 'back order'!! Im on hold to speak to a manager!

Tried to cancel the order, has to be passed on to another team, which takes 24-48 hours, but the phone may dispatch before they get the cancellation request. Crazy!!
The manager gave me a £40 e-voucher for the inconvenience. Ordered with Sony directly, with free headphones!

10/31 Ship Date for White N4s

Anybody get a shipping notification for their white N4 that are supposed to be shipping "by 10/31"?
Yes. Mine was to ship by 10/31 but the order status now says it has been shipped and I have a tracking number. I ordered a Note 4 White on Oct 18th. This change in status happened in the last few hours.

I would love to know any updates on this as Best Buy has literally no information and I pre-ordered on the 11th...

Search: Did you preorder through Verizon? Here's a way to get extra/internal information about your preorder (I am a noob and can't post links yet)
It was all jibberish until I got to the first comment, beginning with "Pro tip," which provided the URL to use instead.
Replace YOUR_PRE_ORDER_CONF_NUMBER with your preorder number (found in the email confirmation they sent you). As far as I know, it only works with the preorder number (more digits, provided for online orders), not the order number. I placed my order over the phone via the retention department and it appears their method still generates an online preorder number. I can not attest to what order number type is provided for orders placed in store.
Then, replace YOUR_LAST_NAME with, well, your last name, as it appears on the order. Once the page loads, you'll get some valuable data that you may or may not be able to interpret. Order status, tracking information
According to the provided information, my order is in processing but no shipping label created yet. I have been scouring the web for more information to confirm whether or not Verizon uses overnight or two day shipping, with Saturday delivery selected. From what I have found:
* there seems to be conflicting data on the ship method, though Verizon confirmed in forum replies that it is indeed overnight
* most of the recipients designated for the 10/23 expected ship date (earlier pre-orders), received their phones on 10/23...this gives validity to iconicExpShipDate = expected DELIVERY date, as you will see in the key on the reddit post.
* the same designees that received their phone a few days late seemed to either have incorrect shipping addresses, unsuccessful delivery attempts or were otherwise subjected to force majeure
* there appear to 10/23 designees whose date was pushed to 10/31, most originated from Best Buy and Amazon, and at least one Verizon customer who used the aforementioned link and generated an error code indicating a problem with the payment
* if your card has been charged, you can expect a shipping notification within 24 to 48 hours
* there are still people out there who pre-ordered on opening day and still have not received their phone!
In summation, I am expecting to receive my order on Friday, 10/31. If the link comes back clean under item details as of Thursday night, I will be devastated. I am really hoping I have the N4 in hand to distract [me] from the fact that I am an almost-thirty yo... female... waiting in line at midnight on Sunday, for a video game.
I'm glad i ordered the white quick i was lucky and got it in the 23rd. I figured the black ones would have had more people waiting for stock.

When I check my order status I see the order number, not the preorder number, a row for the tracking number but the field is blank. This happened yesterday afternoon; it had previously said in process and gave me an estimated ship date. Now there is no date.
I checked the Iconic status I previously posted about. The status changed from 'C (we have received your order and is in process),' to 'S(per the key, we have sent you order for processing).' The expected ship date has been deleted, and a shipping message was added, "your order will ship on 10/31."
I called Verizon again this morning. I was told that my order had been shipped, but there was no tracking information yet. The rep said that the order was placed for two day shipping. I confirmed with Verizon on three separate phone calls that it would be for overnight shipping... each time the rep originally said two-day, I said it was incorrect, and after a brief hold was told it was indeed overnight.
I have read of too many people on various sites having their orders mysteriously cancel, I am concerned about having no order information (with an order date change to boot). I am certain the tracking number would be in their system when the label is created, so I find it hard to believe that my order has been shipped. I did read of one gent on reddit who suffered a similar experience. He called Verizon to inquire and within minutes the FedEx driver arrived at his door.
I could sure use a morale boost. If you are reading this, I'd love to hear that you received tracking information or better, your devices! For the BBY customers, my heart goes out to you. I hope you got the $200 gift card at least.

Just received a notification from VZW with tracking number and my White Note 4 will be here tomorrow 10/31 just like they promised.
I did mine in store on Sunday. My ship date was 10/31. I got a tracking number today that it's being sent 2 day and will be here Monday. Meh.

Sorry, Ditto, [FedEx] just picked [my phone] up [from Verizon] 20 minutes ago apparently [according to the tracking information, two day shipping with Monday delivery]. Tears [of sadness].
I preordered at the store on 10/23 and I got my tracking number yesterday showing it will be delivered tomorrow
