LeTV 1S X500 "red light" brick *SOLVED* - LeEco Le 1S Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi all! I seem to have bricked my X500.
Here´s what I did:
- Came from stock ROM Android 5.0 (with ROOT and TWRP installed)
- Downloaded the Android 6.0 ROM from the official site (http://bbs.le.com/zt/eui/le_1s.html), renamed to "update.zip", put it in phone
- Booted into TWRP
- Tried to flash the ROM, got an error saying "This package is for "X3_HK" devices; this is a "X3".
- Modified the flash script, changed the "X3_HK" to X3 (I know... pretty stupid)
- Booted into TWRP again
- Managed to sucessfully flash the ROM
- Chose "reboot" in TWRP
- Phone won´t boot
Now phone LED light becomes red when connected to computer, nothing else happens....
I saw this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64488988&postcount=1341
Problem is, the links to the ROM do not work....
And when I try to load another ROM in SP Tool (any of the stock ROMs), SP Tool says "The load scatter file is invalid!".
I modified the scatter file so that the first line is:
############################################################################################################## General Setting #
...but that did not help.
The rest of the scatter file looks like this:
preloader 0x0
pgpt 0x0

I saved mine (X500) with this 010S yesterday..
http://www.letv.re/topic/649-unbrick-rom/
Is the megalink and zip name is fixbrick or similar..
But, first do a backup because they erase all your files from cell phone.
Later.. You can install again twrp (3.0 minimum to Android 6.0) and rom + superSU 2,76..
You don't need gapps to android marshmallows, just install play Store apk and contacts sync apk..
Good luck!

You, sir, are a hero! MUCHAS GRACIAS!!
Just want to add if anyone has similar problem:
The most difficult part for me was installing the USB drivers for Win 10. Eventually I followed this guide which worked:
https://tehnotone.com/windows-10-mtk-vcom-usb-drivers-for-32-64-bit-drivers-installation-tutorial/
Edit: any advice on how to install TWRP 3.0, root and flash latest stock ROM?

Yes, of course. You just download the twrp 3.0 zip https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2HuAp_OEypGSXRWSXBYNzB2akE/view?usp=drivesdk (here u are a copy). Extract the files and execute with phone connected to computer the recovery.bat. (you need active first USB debugging). Then, with the recovery you can flash last rom stock.. If you need a copy.. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2HuAp_OEypGNUxSeGZySjFyM28/view?usp=drivesdk
And finally, if you need root, just flash superSU 2.76 zip from recovery, same as rom.
By the way.. You can't update with custom recovery as an official update, rename it etc... You must download the full rom and "install" from twrp (with wipe cache and dalvik usually).

Thanks a lot! Don´t I need to install EUI 5.5.013S first? Can I go directly from what I have now to EUI 5.8.018S?

You can flash directly 18S but I flashed first 13S because I don't have apps or files in the phone and it's easier to make it. It's just five minutes more. If you need 13S... You just tell me. I think I have it a copy
Oh.. And you don't need gapps in Android 6.0, just the Play Store apk and a copy of contacts sync apk too. We already have framework in marshmallow with play services etc

I also flashed 13S first and then 18S, everything worked out fine! Also flashed SuperSU. However the TWRP you linked was version 2.8.something but it worked anyway!
So, where do I find the play store apk?

Everything seems fine now! Just one final question; do you know any list of what chinese bloatware is safe to remove?
Edit: I downloaded contact sync apk from apkmirror.com, latest version, but it immediately stops on my device. Any advice on this?

You must delete Google account and add again to sync the contacts. Maybe it's a bug but I need it to delete and add three times to works.
And about Chinese bloatware.. I delete all this apps (screenshots) , some of then because I prefer to use anothers (notes, email, music...). Launcher and input, I use Nova and SwiftKey.. If you are going to delete both, first install the Launcher and the input method that you choose.

Muchas gracias por toda la ayuda, ahora tengo un telefono nuevo
Edit: after looking around in the settings, I am missing the setting for the physical buttons. On the previous ROM, I could i.e. set a long press on the home button to start the flashlight. Did they remove that setting? I found that extremely useful....
Edit2: never mind, found it

Hey man, I changed the "X3_HK" to X3 too and the phone wont turn on. I try flashing the official rom but I get "scatter file has failed". How did you manage to flash the ROM with this scatter file issue??? Also, my phone wont show up for a long time in the device manager (it just keeps connecting and disconnecting), is that an issue or it is supposed to be like this?? I beg you man, I can't stand wasting more time trying to figure this out.

WARNING: Proceed on your own risk, Neither I nor any XDA member is responsible for your actions. Failure to follow instructions MAY brick your device and render it unusable.
This Guide will also work for any other variant of Moto X, instead of using TWRP 2.6.3.1, you can use any version of TWRP. For some reason, any other version of TWRP causes errors on the Moto X XT1052.
First some, pre-requisites for installing CM 12 on your Moto X XT1052:
1.) Unlocked Bootloader (doing this will factory reset your device)
2.) Rooted [Optional]
3.) TWRP Custom Recovery v2.6.3.1 Installed. No other version will work!
Instructions: (This assumes your are on stock Moto ROM, will a locked BootLoader and No Custom Recovery Installed. If not, Jump to Step 3.)
1. Follow this great guide at Elemental X to Unlock your BootLoader
2. Continue to follow the guide at Elemental X to install TWRP v2.6.3.1 however, install version 2.6.3.1 [Download it from here]
3. For CM 12 to work, we will first have to install CM 11 and complete a first boot. Follow the following instructions to flash CM 11 first:
A. Download CM 11 ROM for MOTO X (Ghost) [ Download Here ]
B. Transfer to SD Card and Boot into TWRP recovery [Make sure it is v2.6.3.1]
C. Head into Wipe and Factory Reset your Phone
D. Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache
E. Then head into install and install the CM 11 zip file (No need to flash GAPPs yet).
F. Once done, perform one complete reboot
4. Now we install CM 12:
A. Download the latest version of CM 12 Ghost [Download here]
B. Download Latest GAPPS [Download Here]
C. Transfer files to SD Card
D. Boot into TWRP recovery and perform another complete Wipe
E. Install CM 12 .zip and the GAPPS .zip
F. Perform the first boot (May take anywhere from 1 - 5 mins, for the first boot only)
5. Voila! You're done.
How to update to the latest NIGHTLY: (Basically dirty flashing, will NOT erase your data)
1. Download the latest nightly using CMUpdater
2. Boot into recovery
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache and Cache
4. Install the .zip from /sdcard/cmupdater/
5. Reboot and let Android perform application compilation.
Let me know if you run into any error! Happy Flashing!
DON'T FORGET TO GIVE ME A THANKS!
Thank but...

Well if your system can recognize your phone while in Recovery, all you have to do is transfer the zip into your internal storage. If your system can't detect your phone, then you'll probably have to install stock rom and then transfer the files and try again.
Hope this helps

Don't know the technical reason but if you try and install CM12 directly from stock ROM it causes boot loops for some reason. If you, however, try and install CM 12 after a complete CM 11 boot, it installs perfectly

Well, maybe the titanium backup is corrupted/incomplete? Or it is possible that the games aren't compatible with ART yet. Maybe sure that the games you are trying to restore are ART compatible.

I could be because of Sprint, however, try and reinstall. Maybe its just a glitch? Also, sometime, it just takes some time to recognize the SIM.

Very weird. And no I can't do that because backups are compressed by the app itself. Do you know how to read logs? I have one that might help.

Well, it depends on the format type of the log file. Generally most logs are .txt files that can be easily read using Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on Mac.

X800 Hard brick

Hello,
my brand new X800 hard bricked last night while flashing the first custom ROM: it ended the process in TWRP 3.0.1 and screen shut down never to light up anymore.
When I connect it to the PC it gets recognized as a Qualcomm device in 9008 state, I managed to find a lot of flashing tools which actually finds the COM port used by that but I don't have the RUU/Fastboot ROM/whatever files I need to revive the device. I read in LeMe USA forums that LeTV won't offer an unbrick tool (http://forum.le.com/us/index.php?th...back-to-life-a-hard-bricked-dead-x800-pro.264), can somebody help me out on that? I found this Chinese forum and you can see a screenshot of a "Letv flash tool"but I can't understand how to get that (http://bbs.ydss.cn/thread-627786-1-1.html).

Fine, I got to download the files from another link!
Here you can find the recovery package, the flasher, qcom drivers and adb/fastboot+android drivers:

Too bad I can't flash because I get an error (error.txt)

Same problem.
I also have the same problem. I think Qfil rom was not correct. If the rom version is correct, it might work.
Hi, I have talked with cuoco92 (known ROM cooker) and he told me the reason for these bricks and how we maybe can unbrick them. For that we need the file emmc_appsboot.mbn from the LeTV X800 US version. Unfortunately there is nowhere to download the US firmware, and it seems that LeTV will also not help to share it. So that's why the only way is if someone is going to extract it from a working LeTV X800 US version.
The reason why the QFIL method doesn't work is that the firmwares files are only for the Chinese version, and that will not work on the US version. So the method will always fail. Actually I got a step further with the QPST/QFIL connection where it actually succeeded in connecting to the Sahara protocol, saying "Sahara protocol completed" and "Switch To FireHose" ** All is well ** SUCCESS!! but it all ended up with another error as it later again couldn't connect to the port, and I got Download Fail:FireHose Fail FHLoader Fail: Proess fail....
The reason for the brick in the first place is that all the guides on how to install TWRP etc. on the net are made for the Chinese LeTV X800, if someone tries it on the LeTV X800 US version it will end up bricking the phone completely. So beware if the guides doesn't specific say that it also works on the US version then don't try to flash or modify anything!

OK, thanks for this Info. I will get my new LETV One Pro 01.06 or 02.06. I ordered it via efox-shop.com. And when I look at the images on their web site, i see a CE sign at the back. So if it is a US version and some could tell me how to extract this file without bricking it, I can do the extraction of this file "emmc_appsboot.mbn"...
Please note I had no issues flashing TWRP via fastboot, flashing supersu and xposed zips from TWRP and using xposed modules. Problems rise flashing ROMs since both official LeTV and custom ones have a firmware-update folder inside, I think if you delete that folder from zip you can flash ROMs just fine. On my HTC One m7, custom ROMs never have that folder.
EDIT: confirmed just now, erasing that "firmware-update" folder in the zip and flashing it you won't brick.

Hi guys! I also bought my x800 via e-fox and was able to brick it using the wrong rom. I found some files on androidbrick with no password needed to download. Do you think they'll work? I wish i could paste link to the files but I can't since this is my first post on xda
Same problem here. Tried to flash the cuoco92 twrp recovery and got the penguin screen. I solved flashing the original twrp. After I tried to flash cuoco 92 rom but got the Black screen.

No the chinese One since i believed my phone was chinese and the rom backup could help me in case of failure. I never imagined i would brick the phone. What Can i do now? Is there any fix? Thank you.
First flashed twrp 3.0.2. than your rom 10s, then the screen went Black. My phone is an us version.
We're all in the same boat guys, waiting for some miracle to happen... But since it's mostly in LeEco/LeTV US hands I won't hold my breath, they told that MAYBE and IN THE FUTURE they would provide some help to us, ill fated users.

@teorouge: Can I have the link to the Chinese FW you installed that bricked the phone? I have an extra device that I'm going to brick (already made a backup.img and have a US version prog_emmc_firehose_8994_lite.mbn), so I can try to help you guys. Let me know roughly the procedure (ex. Installed TWRP 3.0.2.0, transferred ZIP, installed, etc.).

@viperdream26: I think it was .013S version from http://bbs.le.com/zt/eui/le_pro1.html I got TWRP 3.0.2 via fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, flashed SuperSu and Xposed zips and used the phone for a couple of days with no issues. The I decided to flash, I went into recovery and flashed the ROM zip but as soon as TWRP ended the process it didn't reboot as it usually does and screen went black, not to light up anymore in any way. Tried long pressing power (more than a minute each time...) and any volume button together but nothing happens. Finally tried QFIL way (and also letv_flash_tool.exe and any flasher out there) but I either get an error while flashing ("Device is not in firehose mode" in QFIL) or I miss some file to launch the process (with MiFlash and such). Thanks for any help you can give, just ask if you need more background!
@viperdream:
Thank you!
I had the .011 us version (but I didn't know my phone was US). I tried to install Cuoco92 TWRP 3.0.2 with the adb tool provided but when the phone reboot I got a black screen with a penguin. So I went on the official TWRP page and followed the procedure to install TWRP via ADB. It worked. After this I made a rom backup (including efs and everything else), wiped and installed Cuoco92 .013 rom and got the black screen.

I got my LeTV One Pro yesterday. I wanted to install TWRP 3.0.2 only via the ADB procedure.
1. Downloaded the TEAMWin Code Name: x1 TWRP.img 3.0.2
2. adb reboot bootloader (Phone rebooted into the pinguin mode)
3. Then I wanted to execute the next command: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img: But the phone automatical reboots out of the Pinguin mode.
It stays there after the first adb command for approx: 3-5sec. before rebooting into normal mode.
So no chance to execute the described 2nd adb command to flash the recovery twrp image.
any ideas ?
BTW: My phone was delivered with a kind of international EUI 5.5.011S(Stable) OS and I could also select German as Default Language. Google Play Store and Apps were already installed. Android Version is 5.0.2. It seems thatz the describe procedures on the web are not functioning with this device. The OS has also no OTP Software Update menu, but I see with ES Explorer a inside the emulated storage folder 0 a log named "last_ota.log".
Did you try switching off your phone and turning it on long pressing power+ vol up to boot in bootloader? Or maybe it was vol down, sorry I bricked and I can't remember exactly which combination boots to recovery and which one to bootloader.

i do not even have it at all no needed
I've had on for a about 6 hours and it's just the same as before; Bluetooth does not work with my car anymore (just like it's been for about six months) and the same mobile data and call drop off issues are still present. I was not rooted when the OTA landed so I do not know if root will be lost by taking the update.
Also a P9000E rom has been released no idea what P9000E anyone else have a idea what it is?

Flashed it over the previous 7.0 unticking userdata and everything is ok. Maybe a bit snappier but really similar to previous.
Hi,
I just without thinking downloaded this update and applied from OTA when I have TWRP installed, this has resulted in the phone only booting into recovery or fast boot if I select it in twrp. I have downloaded the files from the elephone thread but can anyone tell me what I need to flash?
From twrp I see I can flash:
NvRAM
Uboot
Logo
Tee1
Tee2
Boot
Recovery
System Image
From the downloaded files I have;
boot.img - I assume this should be flashed and boot selected in twrp
cache.img - ???
lk.bin - ???
logo.bin - I assume this should be flashed and Logo selected in twrp
md1arm7.img - ???
md1dps.img - ???
md1rom.img - ???
recovery.img - don't want to flash this if I want to keep twrp, unless this is my only way of resolving this issue
secro.img - ????
system.img - I assume this should be flashed and System selected in twrp
userdata.img - don't want to flash this unless this is my only way of resolving this issue
Any help would be appreciated, there must be some sequence for me to follow as the first response in the elephone thread has some one with the same issue, but they do not explain how the resolved it.

I think it needs to be flashed with Spflashtools (don't know for sure). If you want twrp recovery with the new stock ROM, just point to the twrp.img in spflashtool. This is all I can say. For flashing with twrp questions, use search.
(You could download the new stock ROM from needrom.com. It has a scatter file for Spflashtools.)

I had the same problem, thankfully i created a backup in TWRP just before, so if you have one just clear cache and system partition and recover only system partition then it works again with all data you had. I just ignore the update now.
I think it is also possible to recover system partition via SPFlash Tool

Cheers for the information, to be honest after I got this update working, I was left disappointed 7.0 stock worked quite well (except I could not properly control music when using Bluetooth headphones) I found that this update also broke induction charging that I cherish. So I moved over to LineageOS and have not looked back, with the exception of the stock camera app everything just works and better than before with stock.

Ok nice to know, I tried lineage OS at the Beginning in hope camera quality will be better. But the original flipcase with sview does not work with it. I am totally unsatisfied with the phone as I come from jiayu s3 which worked so well for me until i broke it... This was the first and last elephone for me. As I now dont have the flipcase maybe i will also change to lineage in future. Nevertheless i will try xiaomi phones next time as this is my new favorite brand for almost everything.
Best regards

Hello all the community,
You will find here all informations needed to flash the custom rom provided.
BEFORE ALL
1/ Always make a save of your data. We don't know what might happening even in a simple official update.
2/ Flashing Custom kernel, Custom rom, Root may brick your device. So you're warned.
Latest update: May,08,2018 (Add rom Nougat based B180)

To flash this rom, follow those steps (if already on custom rom, go to step 5):
Step 1: UNLOCK BOOTLOADER (it will erase all your data)
1. Get all needed ADB tools here
2. Go create your huawei id here.
3. Login Emui here to get your unlock code and write it on a txt file.
4. Uncompress the ADB tools in a folder. Open a command prompt here.
Then Press VolDwn while connecting your phone on your PC. It will boot your phone in bootloader mode.
In the command prompt, type: fastboot oem unlock thekeyyougotbefore
Step 2: FLASH STOCK FIRMWARE (optional)
Step 3: UNLOCK BOOTLOADER (only if step 2 done)
* Do the same as Step 1
Step 4: FLASH CUSTOM RECOVERY
1. Get TWRP here
2. Enter fastboot mode (hold PwrDown and plug usb cable into PC)
3. flash recovery using the following command in a command prompt: fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-vtr.img
4. Reboot in twrp recovery by holding on VolUp & Power buttons
5. Format /data (necessary step to remove encryption). BE CAREFUL: You will loose all Internal Storage.
Step 5: FLASH CUSTOM ROM (upd#08/05)
Latest: 1.0
IT WILL FORMAT YOUR DATA (not internal storage). SO BACKUP IF NEEDED.
* Odexed rom
* prerooted with SuperSU 2.82
* Almost fully debloated
* Only 1 zip file to flash
* Xposed v89 preinstalled with a few modules
* Nova Launcher replaces Huawei Launcher (deleted)

* Viper 2.5.0.5 with driver preinstalled
* Viper modded librairies (Thanks to @TheRoyalSeeker)
* Dolby Atmos librairies and apps
* Viper effects profile included (@ARISE team)
* Sony Music addon (player, trackID....) (Thanks to @guitarhero)
* Call Recorder function enabled (thanks to @Blackball)

2/ Reboot.
3/ Activate "unknown sources" in Nougat parameters and reboot.

Hello, yeah yeah sure it will come. Post is currently under construction. More news next week. All i can say is that this first version is only pure stock. But as i did for the s5neo, i plan an aroma version with many options including debloating, custom kernel....
This version is odexed currently. But as i like decompiling, expect a deodex one.

ok, corrected. Making further tests before uploading a new one (it takes 10 hours to upload....)
So, rom works well now. I am working on the aroma now.
Beta 2 will be uploaded tomorrow.
As i work on it for aroma version, Beta 2 will be highly debloated.
I hope aroma version will be finished next week.
If many people use it, will begin to work on kernel after. (For Nougat ofc).
Unfortunately, kernel source is not up to date (B160) and B180 will not be uploaded.
Samsung services is better for this, so far.
Envoyé de mon LG-H850 en utilisant Tapatalk
So as i finished the aroma script, wanted to upload it directly but got an error in the aroma but dont know why. Investigating as the rom itself using standard script works great (though it is so debloated that i deleted MyFiles apk too).
Only 1 zip file of almost 2Gb.
Xposed, superSU is ok.
Trying to get Viper working now.
Anyway, if i am not able to make the aroma work, i will upload the rom as is on Sunday (will not be at home with my bad co but somewhere internet co works great).
So stay tuned
Envoyé de mon LG-H850 en utilisant Tapatalk
OK Aroma is now working.
But it is quite a mess. Our TWRP is not "touch" so we have to use VolUp & VolDn keys & Power to select.
It is not easy to see what we do because there is no "selection" which appears.
Do not know why "touching" do not work.
OK So it seems Aroma cannot handle zip file more than 2Go.
So no choice: There will be 2 zip files
1/ One for a full debloated rom using standart script file
/2 Another using AROMA for bloat option & other option like xposed, viper...
Sorry for the inconvenience.
So last news before upload.
So tomorrow i will upload beta10.
It is working great. Still modify it every day but working. Aroma cause the phone not to boot (dunno why).
So for the time being, only the highly debloated rom will be uploaded
Zip file is almost 2Go.
Many app removed.
Nova launcher added and replace huawei launcher
No xposed (installed but not working now) nor Arise Viper currently (though Viper itself works, the Arise one causes bootloop)
SuperSu 2.82 for root
Odexed for now
I try to make an aroma for a second optional zip file but with no success for now. It seems that a problem appears in boot img !?

Hello all the community,
You will find here all informations needed either to flash the custom rom provided.
BEFORE ALL
1/ Always make a save of your data. We don't know what might happening even in a simple official update.
2/ Flashing Custom kernel, Custom rom, Root may brick your device. So you're warned.
Latest update: April,11,2018 (Add rom Nougat based B180)
5. Format /data (necessary step). BE CAREFUL: You will loose all Internal Storage.
Step 5: FLASH CUSTOM ROM (upd#11/04)
Latest: Beta1
- System file
- Data file
* Pure stock odexed rom
* prerooted with SuperSU
* Currently 2 zip files to flash. Hope to gather in 1.
Planned: Aroma version with debloating, custom kernel, ViperAudio options....
Not Planned: Oreo version
1/ Put the 2 files on your externalSD. Then boot into TWRP to flash.

Still no update on what this rom contains ?
Link updated to HuShed Beta10
I am currently working on beta 11 to include Viper and Vipermod. I updated too some app too. Once done and working, will work on Aroma version again.
Envoyé de mon SM-G903F en utilisant Tapatalk
Finally got Viper and ViPER mods working. Have to make some adjusments and after will upload beta11. Probably last beta before final version.
Envoyé de mon LG-H850 en utilisant Tapatalk
Next version will be final not beta11 as i suggested. All is working flawlessly so...
So next HuShed 1.0 is
- All Beta 10 features
- Xposed v89
- Updated included xposed modules and apps
- Modded ViPER version. Will be 2.5.0.5 with preinstalled drivers.
Always all in one install script.
Finally no Aroma unfortunately as it is a pain in the ass to navigate to select option without touch (not working, we don't see what we do, where the cursors goes).
But if you really want to try, tell me and will make it.

Oreo On NXT-L09 and L29

Install oreo AL10 chinese version on Mate 8 L09
1. You have to be in nougat, install the rollback to marshmallow creating on your MicroSD a folder named dload and inside this folder put the UPDATE.app, install with the 3 button combo or from the engineers menu, the change from l09 or 29 to al10 is only secure from android marshmallow..
2. Install the rom B100 with the 3 button combo, if you have an unlocked bootloader it will relock, you must have to unlock the bootloader many times here (2 or 3)..
3. After the reboot on the dload folder put the rom NXT-C00B129SP02, unzip this on dload and at the root of the sd put the OemInfo-all_cn.zip.
4. Now you have marshmallow with the NXT-C00B129SP02... flash TWRP via fastboot i will upload all this files.
5. Start the TWRP and flash OemInfo-all_cn.zip
6. Restart the phone on bootloader, flash the stock recovery, restart from adb (fastboot reboot) and when the screen turns black press the up and down volume buttoms to flash the dload... dont let the phone boot winouth installing the dload.
7. Now afther installing this you must be booting on marshmallow chinese version, some times this will take some time to boot, always leave it, if you wish you can update to 8 via ota but you probably aren't gonna have imei or signal, on your sd create a folder named B596 there you have to put HuRUpdater_0.4.zip and update.zip from B596 (everything uploaded in the pack).
8. Now flash TWRP marshmallow again, install the HuRUpdater_0.4.zip in B596 ( when the phone vibrates press the volume down button to install ), when it's ready reboot the phone.
9. Now you have Nougat chinese version ( no signal yet ), on your sd create a folder named B834 ( i will upload everything just to copy and paste) and there you will have the HuRUpdater_0.4.zip and update.zip... update_data_public.zip files..
10. InstallTWRP Nougat and flash the HuRUpdater_0.4.zip.
Now reboot the phone and wait, this will take time but it starts..
L29 To al 10:
You must check on Firmware Finder if your phone accepts the Oreo update.
1. Downgrade to Emui 4.0 any version..
2. With SRK tools change oeminfo y custom.bin to AL10. (You must have unlocked bootloader and root)
3. Download the NXT-AL10C00B172 rom and install with the 3 button combo.
4. Now you will have marshmallow with no signal.
5. Conectar to WiFi and update via ota to the last version, it will be 4 or more, install all versions
6. You will finish with B596
7. With B596 install Firmware Finder y search for this rom (NXT-AL10C17B828 (8.0.0.828), FF-No.: 152726) (Install it via Proxy).
8. Now you have Oreo B829 winouth signal.
9. Flash your cust ( from your region) via Fastboot with "fastboot flash cust cust.img"
9. Wipe everything (factory reset) and booting first time deactivate the updater, if you dont maybe there will be a permanent menssaje)
If you want open kirin!!
Flash via adb this command
fastboot flash system <name-of-rom-image-file>
Install TWRP Oreo, open TWRP, change language to english and search for the option fix encription, swipe to install the script and wipe data, all here on TWRP, now reboot to system and leave it boot, i have my NXT L09 from Colombia, running Oreo 8.1.0 with Openkirin Resurrection Remix OS, sorry for my bad english and i accept comments...

Phone Model "Unknown"
Hey thanks for the sweet tutorial. Amazingly simple but worked so well unlike some others I have seen. Bricked my Mate 8 so many times I still skeptical of the fact that I am actually on Oreo. Thanks dude.
I just have one problem though. My phone model says unknown in the about screen. How can this be rectified? Really hoping you can assist.
Hi, great tutorial, I was just wondering. Is it possible to use any other rom for the AL10 then the chinese one?
nobody will share his experience about this rom on l09? Stability? Bugs?
PD: Step 4 is wrong.. at that point we only have that version on dload but not installed.
PD2: Can't install twrp oreo, must use fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY.img

Thank you for your help! I forgot to explain that, I can say this about the rom, 5 months using it, really good, I think the charge is fast than stock, I thing, never metered, no bugs at all, very functional..
No bugs at all? I'm full of graphic bugs when using split or multiple window...
Can someone explain why we even get signal? in the tutorial since the debranding on all AL10 roms there is no sim detection, and when it comes to HuRUpdate the oreo stock al10 rom it works... The rom has some modifications?
L29 download link not work
What is the latest version of oreo (before patches01-02)? and which of the 5 files should I put, I always have in the system compilation
update.zip
update_full_NXT-AL10_all_cn.zip
update_full_NXT-TL00_cmcc_cn.zip
update_full_NXT-DL00_dualcu_cn.zip
update_data_full_public.zip
update_full_NXT-CL00_telecom_cn.zip
"Restart the phone on bootloader, flash the stock recovery"
On step 6, can someone kindly explain which file is the stock recovery image i need to flash?
I answered my own question.... I used Huawei Extractor and used recovery.img from the update.app of the al10 rom.
I finished all the steps, and now my phone is now on Android 8 Emui 8, THANK YOU SO MUCH
but ...........
I am missing all google apps.!!! and the system will not allow me to add a google account,
Is this expected? the same situation for everyone else?

Search play store apk on Google, it is the first result, install it and go.
Experiencing graphic bugs also. Camera app freezes lower half image sometimes. Also, I set the region and language to my country (Colombia) but some system menus pop up in chinese, (dont know what they say) , unable to change or apply themes, some apps wont install from the huawei app store, and sometimes the browser wont connect to websites. On the plus side, the phone is very fast and battery is great.
How can I rollback to L09 nogaut or marsmallow version?? I tried starting the tutorial from the beginning and rollback to marsmallow, but all the update.app files that I used from the tutorial failed using the recovery menu.

So anyone bugless?? I only upgrade to oreo without bug with another method... that don't have network available :'c... I dont know how to have both at the same time
For Signal Fix No need to flash your region cust follow these steps.
1.open any root explorer
2.goto /cust/all/cn/prop and rename local.prop to local.prop.bak
3.restart and wait for 10 seconds
I know its ugly but it works and you won't lose updater too.
