Battery capacity charge - Huawei Ascend G7 Questions & Answers

Hello. This is my firs post. I'm running CM13 with 0919 build on my L01 Ascend G7, and have an issue with battery capacity. Only 2000mAh is availible, instead od 3100mAh. Is there a fix for it?

Same phone, stock ROM, but my battery shows as only 2000mAh too, not sure if it ever showed 3000mAh, but if it changed it was only after unlocking the bootloader.
Not sure if there is an actual fix as not sure if anything broken as such. Battery still performing normal and good long life, over 2 days with normal use and no charge.

I have shorter battery life. After a full charge to 100% today, 7 hours later its @45%. I did a battery optimisation with an app, now I'll discharge it to 0% and then to full charge. Hope it will fix something, if nothing helps then its back to stock 5.1 lolipop.

[Q] Battery charge methods and tips

Hi everyone, i was wondering if someone can tell me if charging the battery from 10-15% to 100% its bad for my device? Also which recomendations you suggest for reduce battery damage on the device? Ive read about the li-polymer batteries and some says that is bad for the battery to leave it conected log periods of time, also other mentioned that leaving the battery till it reach 10-15% is good method for prolong its battery life, but imnot sure about this tips.
Can someone tell me some recomendations?
I know from experience, li-po batteries do not last if fully discharged everytime, meaning don't run it till it shuts off. I am charging in the 10-15% range. As far as leaving it connected to the charger, I'm not sure if thats bad. If all you did was use it while connected to the charger, yes that will result in reduced battery life due to it not getting discharged.

Battery calibration

Is there a need for battery calibration ? If say some percentage ranges the battery drops reasonably and at certain percentages the battery just dives. If so how do I do that?
No need to calibrate your battery (ITS A LITHIUM-ION BATTERY), use it as you normally would. Enjoy it till the Note 5 comes out.
But if you want to extend the lifespan in your battery (don't confuse with everyday everyday life), a complete discharge once in a while is still recommended.

I've just recent purchased a official Samsung spare battery for my N910C. I charged it fully after I received it in the mall. But when I used it for the first time today it said that it had only a 80% charge despite the fact that I charged it fully when I received it in the mall. I did some research online and found a couple of methods on how I could calibrate the battery without having to root my device. But I'm not sure which method is the best.
The 1st is:
To drain the battery fully.
Then plug it in and charge it again.
Then drain fully again and charged it fully.
The 2nd is to:
Drain the battery fully.
Turn it on and off.
Then plug it in to charge.
Once the LED or display says it's fully charged, unplug it.
Power my device back on, which will stated that the battery not fully charged.
Plug it back into the charger and let it fully charge.
Then reboot it to check if it's full charged.
If it's not repeat the previous couple of steps again
Does anybody know which of these is the best method for calibrating the battery of a Note 4?

Battery not charging past 80% after battery change

Hi folks,
I recently got a new battery for my S3 neo to replace my rapidly deteriorating original.
since the switch, i've been unable to charge EITHER battery up to 100% without waiting many hours for it trickle charge up from 80%.
here's the background:
i switched out the batteries when the old one was fully charged (since i was going to store it).
when i put in the new one, it read 84% when turned on again, i thought this was acceptable, since the battery would have been stored for a while before i bought it.
however, when charging this battery up again, it would hit around 76-77% and start trickle charging, as if charging from 95 to 100%
im not really sure how to fix this, and i have tried wiping cache, and running the battery down to 0% and charging from there. i have my theory, but am not sure its at all correct!
my theory (please tell me if i'm wrong)
when the battery jumped from 100% to 84% following the battery switch, that reset 84% to "fully charged" somehow
this would leave being fully charged as 1764Mah in the battery instead of 2100Mah
and by charging to 84%, then switching in a 100% battery this might be somehow reversed?
Would really appreciate any ideas people may have, since the already poor battery life (2 hours screen on) has now gotten even worse!

Please Help moto x play huge battery issue

I used samsung fast charger for 4 months and battery life was all good , then i lost the charger so i had to charge the phone with a "not so fast charger" that took ages to charge my phone.
Never charged to 80% , and battery drain was serious.
That's when i got worried that the charger ive been using might have destroyed my battery.
So bought the "turbopower 15" charger for my MXP and at first it heated up my battery more then 60* (serious overheating issue)
After 2 or 3 charges i figured it only heats up after the percentage is 50% or higher or when i use it while charging.
And now it drain my battery like crazy!,
I just restarted my device into recovery right now and it was 45% but by the time i booted up to recovery it said 25%. How CRAZY DRAINAGE IS THAT??, Please devs help me.
Its like i dont need a stopwatch my battery drain a percent per second.
Im using purenexus 7.1.2 by @GtrCraft witb stock kernal

try going back to stock rom, if the problem persists that means the battery is bad

I was just using stock rom but the battery drain was still the same. I dunno if ive messed up the battery because of the "not orignal" chargers or whatever the reason is. I think the battery is now done for. I think Im just gonna sell this phone
Just buy a new battery from ebay, replace it urself. It's easy..

I use tronsmart 3.0 turbo charger (backward capability for quick charge 2.0 devices). Battery life is good. I charge it when it hits 15-30%.

Cannot full charge my op8 pro

Hi all. Sorry for bad english.
I have got op8 pro(in2023).
Rooted with magisk patched boot.img
And i tried stock kernel and cleanstate kernel.
This phones battery has got 4510mah capacity.
Put charger and 0 to 100 charge. But aida64 says 3700~ mah charged. İ cannot over 3700.
Try battery calibration apps, try franco kernel manager's in battery tab "reset stats" but not work.
I fully discharge. After i fully charged phone(after %100 im waiting 1 hours). But charged mah level 3700mah)
Current capacity 3300mah. (im waited 1 hour after %100).
Yesterday im waited 3 hours after %100. And current capacity i saw 3700
Most likely the software doesn't recognize the battery correctly. Some apps doesn't actually measure the current capacity, but check how much current is used while charging, then estimate the charge of the battery.
Use the phone normally, and if you see an extremely low screen-on-time, then try contacting customer support.
