Multirom? - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there an actual working build of multirom for the OnePlus 2? I know RegalStreak was working on one but he abandoned the project. Is there anyone else working on a functioning multirom port for this device? Thanks.

Any info?

Another abandoned protect u.u
Martin fixed it for op3 and published the source but no one took over... I guess no developer interested in this

That sucks. I'm checking for a friend, I have a Nexus 6 with multirom, and it's a MUST HAVE mod! Hopefully soon! But thanks so much for the reply! [emoji2]

There is a Multirom version not totally working:
- [MOD][FEB-28][TESTING] MultiROM v33 for OnePlus 2
Maybe devs could start from it..

That's the way it is yeah. We don't post our test builds like that just for that reason but this thread looks neat. For the time being

Send me a link, and I would be happy to test it out. I can't wait to get back to stock android that I had on my nexus s.

I hope you dont take this wrongly but, i feel, at least in this early stage, maybe you could collaborate with reb0rn3 and his team to get at least each of the hardware working? Maybe setup an irc channel? So then both of the team can accelerate their work and then move on to fix other bugs and optimize the build.
Im sure others agree too right?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Is it just for the n7100 or will this rom support the n7105? If it does support the n7105 I'll be happy to test it once I get my hands on one.
Lol... wrong thread.

[Request] Sailfish for N4?

I like trying new things. Gotta love the Nexus series for the flexibility to make this possible.
I would love it if someone could port Sailfish to the N4 with the ability to install under multi-rom. Right now I'm booting to Factory Android 4.3 or Ubuntu Touch or Firefox OS.
I tried the Firefox and don't really care for it. I'm pretty committed to UT, but it is taking forever to mature. LOL.
I'd try Sailfish in an instant.
Anyone?

I also want to test it.
But I assumed it is just a question of time until someone builds it for a Nexus 4, so I did not ask for it yet.

jailfish port for n4 - non existing
close this thread!
Wow carepack you are really rude. Hope they ban you.
If people are looking for Roms it is obvious they are going to check in the nexus 4 area, especially then if that's the device they own. Why else would it have its very own section. Normally I'd thank you for pointing out that we have to search elsewhere. But you are a jerk.
Don't come ruining the xda community.

Are they planning to release any sources? I'd love to build me some sailfish

Yes I'd be psyched if someone managed to port this.

Me too
We already have many different skins like stock, cyanogenmod, sense (may come soon) miui and OS's like Ubuntu, android and Firefox OS !
I am still greedy for more!
A small question...Aren't all the OSes heavily modified Android?
I'd happily donate some bucks if it happens.
I'd like try/use Sailfish on N4. And I would donate some $ too.
I also look forward to that
count me in

No. Though some may use some android bits (for working on android phones or whatever)
I hope it will be ported too. I think it's the most exiting new Opensource OS.

CM13 for the OPO is up on the github!

Saw this in the Q&A thread. Was wondering if everyone saw this?
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_oneplus_bacon/tree/cm-13.0
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_oneplus_msm8974/tree/cm-13.0
Has been up maybe three or four days after AOSP has been finally pushed.
It is up, but not ready yet. For those who are familiar with git, it is easier to understand. Basically, that just means that cm-13.0 is being worked on.
Edit: for those who are wondering, I have synced cm-13.0 sources and will be uploading builds once it is buildable!

No; that is Sultanxda's project. Unless he declares he won't be doing it, then I will use the CAF trees.

Lol I wonder why anyone would choose a Nexus 5X over a 6P if their budget allows them. Coming from a OPO I wouldn't want a smaller phone anyway
I'm going to be using this thread to post status updates about how things are going. The last part (vendor_oneplus) just pushed a new cm-13.0 branch with some changes. Now all trees have their own cm-13.0 branch!
I have synced cm-13.0 sources too, I'm not able to compile it yet but as soon the compile will succeed I'll update here.

A 5.5 inch display to me is quite big. I prefer a 4.8 - 5 inch screen device as it wouldn't make one handed use a bit hard as reaching the far end of the OPO with a single hand use means I have to topple the phone a bit using my pinky finger at times which almost leads to dropping it which never happen on my M8 due to its smaller screen size

Just use your second hand..
I can understand this argument, but there are in general a very small percentage of menu options in the upper corner of the screen, most of the times you are using the lower part for typing and moving between apps..
Therefore it is very fine for myself to have a 5,5 inch screen. The benefits you gain are much greater in comparison to losing some one handed usabilities.

I can one hand my Oneplus easily. I expect slight hand acrobatics with the Nexus 6p but I'll be able to use it with 2 hand too. I got big hands so I'm going to enjoy big phones.

Why go from oneplus one to Nexus 5x?
It's not a better and even slightly worse device which costs as much as the oneplus two.
Looking forward to trying out some marshmallow builds once they become somewhat stable .
Be following this thread on CM13. TIA dev!
Please post comments OPO versus whatever phone elsewhere!

I fail to see how that's even related to CM13 in any way on the OPO

I was catching up and responding to this earlier comment. One possible reason to prefer a 5X over a 6P, besides the size difference.
I agree the comments were off-topic, and apologize for my reply.

MultiRom port?

Does anyone know if the devs involved with MultiRom have a posted development schedule for upcoming ports? I'm curious to know if we could expect to be seeing a version for the v20.
It works for the v20 look in the themes and apps section

Android O Rom for OnePlus 2

Hey! With android Oreo that just came out I wanted to know how long does it take usually for a first rom to be available on xda? Or how long did it take last year for the first unofficial nougat rom? Thanks

Not until the CAF source is out. So, expect a good and working build by december.
it was ready about in one or two week, but then was cyanogen, now we have linage.
There will not be a functional build for at least a couple of months. The devs that helped with nougat may not be here anymore as well.
just for ppl who are eager...
work for lineage 15 has been started bht dont expect it foe one plus 2 atleast for a month...
maybe grarak can help it to built it faster

I think that now, it 's easier than ever to compile a custom rom, with the new google updates politics
Last year with Nougat, OP2 got it one week after the official release of Nougat
Certainly our device lost most of his activ dev, but still there so many good of them
We will support the devs to help us to got it
Grarak, MrSheen123, Seraph a,d many others
For stable built it will take some time to perform the rom and it depend on the community union

Grarak has left rom building.
Damn, Grarak left :/?
Sadly i cant help this year though, Im on holiday since yesterday.
I wish you, whoever works on it, good luck though
And i think Treble is only good for future android releases, we still need to figure out how it works for Amdroid 8 ?
Cant look at the source code now though, so only speculations.
