[Q] [SM-G900F][Marshmallow] How to integrate updates of system apps into rom? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using SM-G900F version of sgs5 with Android Marshmallow (G900FXXU1CPEM_G900FXEO1CPE2_G900FXXU1CPC9_HOME) and I have a problem with integrating updates of system apps with rom.
I was using Titanium Backup since Froyo, but now when I begin integration process it look like it is everything ok, but after reboot every updated and integrated app disappears (they was removed from Rom after reboot).
Link2SD also removes apps.
When I try to manually move apps from /data/app to /system/app i get a bootloop.
Soo, Is there is any different way to integrate app to marshmallow rom?

[Q] Root Apps that can freeze versus delete

I have used ROM Toolbox and other apps that give the option to either "freeze" or "delete" system apps. I understand that the main reason to freeze is so you can bring it back if it causes instability.
Obviously deleting opens up space, giving you more available. Other than that, is choosing between freezing or deleting the same as far as performance? I know I might use ROM Toolbox to freeze an app, but looking at it in System App Remover Pro by Jumble still shows those apps as it they are still there - although they are frozen.
The reason I ask is that I am still using about 80% of ram all of the time. I have extensively frozen apps, but have tried to avoid full deletes.

How to install apps to system partition and keep them update to save space?

As far as I know one can't re-size the partitions of a I9509... But there is a huge amount of lost space in system partition specially when on a debloated custom ROM.
Therefore I thought isn't there a way to simply install apps to system partition and keep them (automatically) updated there either... Is there a solution for that?
Or any other idea how to use that senseless wasted space?
Thx a lot!
You could use Titanium Backup to make apps into system apps. But it could make them malfunction.
I'm using Link2SD. It has a free option to integrate system app updates into system or turn a user app into a system app.
TB needs the paid version for that.

Interesting, means when I change a user app into system app it will updatr normally through play store in normal storage but then link2sd can integrate it into that system app...
Is that done in a batch procedure or do I have to do it for every app by myself?
Yeah, I would do that with ES file explorer but still one would have to update the apps manually what means a lot of work because the updates would be installed in normal storage for normal system apps...
Titanium Backup has an "Integrate update into app" option that moves the update to the app folder
link2sd is single apps, even plus Beware of google play services and/or services Framework, integrating their updates can cause annoying failure loops sometimes leading to pulling the battery to reboot. I tend to do them last or solo as a result. Tasker might be able to do the job for bulk or automatic, I haven't used it much, so idk.
Have no problem integrating GPServices or PlayStore into system on stock firmware. Doing it on GPE for example makes the playstore unusable.
As for the batch option there isn't one but the system updates are not that frequent to need this option

App not installed. Package Conflicts

Hello!!
My phone is an S7 Edge with Android 7.0. I am trying to manually install updates from apps included in the stock, like the calendar, messages ... etc. However I can not do it because it gives me this error: " App not installed. The package conflicts cith an existing package by te same name".
Please, can someone help me with this?
Uninstall the app and install the newest. If you have still the problem try install over ADB. Then you can see package name with conflict and uninstall it.
Hi,
You're trying to install two apps with the same package name, in Android data system the apps you install have its data saved in a folder with the format /data/*package name*/, therefore if two apps use the exact same package name and have different signatures (that is, one is not the update of another) you won't be able to install it.
As suggested, try to uninstall the stock apps and then install again manually. However I do not think you'll be able to do it, due to the nature of stock apps being installed in system partition. So for manually installing an stock app you'll first need to uninstall it, and that usually requires superuser privileges.
All the best,

That is the answer I have searched for days. You know APKMIRROR right? I am on unrooted SM-G935F (s7 edge) and I was not able to install any system apps before. But in apkmirror, some people uploaded newer versions of system apps and there was one visible difference: older versions which I cannot install was with android head icon, but newer version had it's own app icon next to the name, and that installed for me. For example s8 launcher (touchwiz home). I always got package error when tried to download versions with android head, and when someone uploaded version with its own icon, it installed. Can you explain this?
And now im waiting for new versions of s8 weather widget because there is no version available with the app icons....
All you need to to to install Touchwiz 9.0 is to encript device, and afterward install will go smoothly (All other experience 9.0 apps can be installed too).(Samsung S6, Android 7.0, December security patch).

Are there any ways to use banking apps after installing a custom rom?

I've installed LineageOS and I can't use any banking app. When I open the app, it suddenly closes itself.
ROM must be a OFFICIAL ROM with original build signatures (not ported or modified) and NON-ROOTED.
alternatively you can use parallel space apps, mine worked with that...
Hope it helps.
