Are there any ways to use banking apps after installing a custom rom? - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

I've installed LineageOS and I can't use any banking app. When I open the app, it suddenly closes itself.

ROM must be a OFFICIAL ROM with original build signatures (not ported or modified) and NON-ROOTED.
alternatively you can use parallel space apps, mine worked with that...
Hope it helps.

[Q] keep specific system files from deletion during CM ROM update?

I was just wondering if there is some way to keep specific system files from being deleted while flashing a new ROM (at least when not doing a full wipe)?
For example, third party applications like "Theft Aware" or any other app that was manually converted to system app are deleted by the cyanogenmod update script (and of course, need to be re-installed from scratch)- Is there a way to add exclusion criteria or something like that, thus keeping these files between flashing updates of the same ROM?
Solution found
Found a solution for Cyanogenmod rom (I guess it should work in other variants and flavors too)- adding it just in case it is of interest to other users:
Got it from the old/inactive theft aware forum: http://tinyurl.com/d8vjkba
I tried it with other system applications that I have installed manually or converted from user apps- and it works great- saves all the hassle of reinstalling these applications (if you flash lots of nightly builds it's quite a pain in the... )

[Q] [SM-G900F][Marshmallow] How to integrate updates of system apps into rom?

I'm using SM-G900F version of sgs5 with Android Marshmallow (G900FXXU1CPEM_G900FXEO1CPE2_G900FXXU1CPC9_HOME) and I have a problem with integrating updates of system apps with rom.
I was using Titanium Backup since Froyo, but now when I begin integration process it look like it is everything ok, but after reboot every updated and integrated app disappears (they was removed from Rom after reboot).
Link2SD also removes apps.
When I try to manually move apps from /data/app to /system/app i get a bootloop.
Soo, Is there is any different way to integrate app to marshmallow rom?

Some Apps crashes directly after start. What to do?

Hello,
I try since some weeks to setup my P9Lite VNS-L31. I upgraded the stock build B150 to different ROMs, like B201, MedroM Custom ROM v2 and V3 and currently B160. I've also rooted the phone and installed xposed with xprivacy - the most important apps for my device.
However, everything works fine. Everything? Not exactly. Some apps are terminated instantly after they was started. A (not fully complete) list of these crashing apps:
- Google Play Store (so it's not possible to create accounts)
- DB Navigator
- Lightning Browser
- xPrivacy (Opening via notification after installed/updated apps are possible!)
- And some games...
What I alread tried:
- Re-install all of ROMs above, with and without root, with and without xposed.
- Dirty ROM upgrades and full wiping in all directions.
- Delete user data and app data
- Delete and reinstall apps
- Clean and dirty reinstall apps in other versions.
Nothing helps... I'm confused about that. I can't find any reason about that and also I don't found any solutions for that. So can you help me, please?
Many thanks in advance.
Best wishes
Dan

Remove gapps and replace with gapps from opengapps?

I'm curious if this is possible with the stock rom any of my current attempts seems to fail with apps not being able to load properly.
I'm assuming there are some dependencies and it's not possible to remove all the gapps from the stock rom only to replace them with the apps from opengapps.
main reason is I don't want things like google movies / chrome / the google app and most things that you can get from the app store I rather just install the app store version but I'm thinking that might not be possible or it would be a bad idea to try this on a stock rom. Even if it is rooted.
Why you don’t Just disable this app.
If you are rooted there is a debloater app for stock OOS. You flash it in TWRP, an Aroma installer comes up and you can pick which Google and OP system apps and some non essential services that you would like to uninstall. It works very well.

Aroma debloater seems to have been removed but thanks for the link. I'll check around in that forum.

I already have a lot of the gapps disabled but on my previous phone I was on a custom rom and I prefered just not having the app entirely.

ROMs that we can use bank applications without issues

Hello all,
I would like to ask what ROM like the new Paranoid where I can use all the bank applications, Google play and my work application s without issues.
I think Lineage is not possible, bank applications will not work
Can anyone advise others ROM where this can be achived
My bank application works on Lineage. I typically don't leave a work application installed on my phone, but the couple times I've needed it, it works.
Guide Installing Lineage < See section 5, Very optional Magisk, it's more than Magisk. Maybe it doesn't work for what your doing, but it does for me.
You can try a virtual OS if you like. It's an app which simulates another android os within your current ROM. Works without root. Basically, a virtual machine.

Fresh install of Paranoid & my bank app & Gpay both work fine.
Didn't install magisk or any other root package.
