Transfer apps & data from Nexus 10 to Galaxy Tab S2? - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've just bought Galaxy Tab S2 to replace my Nexus 10, and want to migrate all of the apps and data from the Nexus 10. I'm aware of the option to sync everything via my Google account, but presumably that would pull down everything that I have on my phone as well, which I don't want - i.e. I only want to migrate the specific subset of apps/data that I have on the Nexus 10.
Is there any way of doing this?

[Q] Transferring app data through different user profiles?

I just discovered Carbon Backup (Helium) for backing up apps. It is perfect for me because I do not want to root my Nexus 7 (2012) but still want to backup app data.
A problem I have ran into is that an app I was playing was on a different user profile. I noticed I cannot access any of my files on an administrator (Primary) account, and that Carbon only works on that primary account. When I am connected to Carbon, the list does not show any apps from the secondary user account on the tablet. So, I need a solution on how I can transfer or find another way to backup data from a game that is not on a primary administration account on the tablet.
I am running android 4.3, my tablet is 8GB, and it is stock and not rooted. If I need to provide any screenshots or more details on anything, please reply below and I'll see what I can provide.
Appreciate any replies,

P.S. The ideal way in my mind is to move the app data to the primary account somehow and backing it up via Carbon.

Nfc, what transfers?

What transfers when you use nfc to restore apps from n5 to n6p? All apps with data? I have titanium bu, but may not want to root the 6p, so it that useless? I have internal memory backed up to PC, so not concerned about media. Just wondering if I need anything else if I use the nfc option in set up.
I did an ADB backup of my nexus 6, then restored it to my 6P. It seemed to save most of my data. I believe the tap and go option only copies your account data.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
it only restores your account information and your screen layouts and such. the apps all have to re-download from the play store.

Help backing up and restoring app settings

Question,
I changed phones and smart switch from my old note 4 to this new one did not transfer my settings for a few apps (Philips Hue lampshade, etc).
Is there a way I can back these up or transfer them on my non rooted note 4 to this one?
Thank
You can utilize Android Backup Service to go down data associated with one or a greater amount of your Google accounts. On the off chance that you needed to supplant your gadget or eradicate its data, you can restore your data utilizing any record that you moved down. Upgrading from Note 5 to Note 7 w/ Google Backup or Smart Switch?

When my order arrives I will be updating from a Sprint Note 5 to an AT&T Note 7. I see that the Note 7 supports a wired Samsung Smart Switch connection to the Note 5. Both phones will have SD cards.
Besides app data, I am really only concerned about things like home screen wallpaper, home screen layout and phone settings. All of my calendar, contacts and everything else is already in the cloud.
Which method is recommended when I first set up this phone? Should I use Smart Switch or should I let Google restore the Note 5 from the last back up? Which method gets me the most updated restored?
Or should I let Google do its thing when I first set it up and then run Smart Switch after that?
i used smart switch from my Note 4 to Note 7 and it worked great and did it wirelessly.
you have to install smart switch on the old phone and it's built in on the Note 7. on the
7 you have to search for it, there's not an app icon.
When did you do it in the initial turn on, activation and setup process of the phone? When you initially setup your Google account on the Note 7 did you tell it to set in up as a new device rather than to restore your Note 4 configuration?

i did the basic setup on the Note 7 and added my Google account first. when you run Smart Switch with both
phones connected it asks you to choose the sending phone and the receiving phone, then it lets you choose
what to migrate (apps, pics, files, docs, etc.)

How to transfer Google apps/settings to new AT&T Note 4 from UK handset?

I've just bought a used Note 4 in the UK. It seems to be a US phone, as when setting it up I was not given the option of transferring settings, apps, etc from another of my Google devices. Instead, I was asked if I wanted to use the "AT&T Mobile Transfer" app to do the same thing. Since I'm based in the UK I'm unable install this app on my old phone (also a Note 4, but a UK handset).
I was also given the option to transfer settings using NFC (holding the phones back-to-back), but couldn't get it to work (having enabled NFC on my old phone).
Any idea how I can transfer apps and settings from my old UK handset to me new (apparently AT&T) handset? I intend to use the new handset in the UK.
Smart switch or samsung cloud backup also Google backup can help.
Thanks - I'll try Samsung Smart Switch (as the Google backup isn't being offered as an option when I set up the new phone).
