i don't have those but i have a method to get those files, not only those but all system.img dump...
(tested on SM-G935F ROM from sammobile)
1. download the ROM of which you want system dump (A5) from sammobile
2. extract it using winRaR and get system.img
3. put the system.img into folder "simg2img_win-master" (zip is in link)
4. run convert.bat
5. wait it finish and you would get "system.ext4.img"
6. install "Linux_Reader.exe" (exe is in link)
7. open the "system.ext4.img" in Linux_Reader
8. save the dump where you want..

How to convert kdz rom to zip rom

Hi, Can anyone tell me how to convert kdz rom to zip ROM?

Firstly u need to extract KDZ file with LGExtract. It will extract cab file and dz file within. Then u needs to extract boot.img and system.img with DZDecrypt, but to get boot.img u need to use 0.5 version. For system.img use 1.0 version. If u have that 2 files, download dsixda kitchen and follow what screen says

Sry, you meant you can't extract cabinet file? Remove cab file integration in 7zip and it will open in windows explorer.

Yes. I have done so, but I still do not unzip the file. cab. I have tried the following in cmd:
D: \ LG \ lgextract-KDZ F180K20K_00.kdz
after it is completed, I get the file F180K20K_00.cab
Next, I used the command:
D: \ LG \ 7z x (or e) F180K20K_00.cab
and I get the error message: Error: Can not open file as archive
After all, I've tried many versions and 7z LGExtract but they all failed. So what is the reason? Does windows version?
p / s: sorry for my english is very bad.

I've read that thread before. But I can not unzip the file. Cab with 7zip or winrar.
In case 2, used to extract UpTestEX.exe. KDZ ->. dz, I can not unzip it. 2 dz by DZextract and DZDecrypt tool.
The reason is that the OS version or ROM version?
Sorry, I just recently see that you're trying to extract F180 (Optimus G)'s firmware. These methods are only for first generation of L series (L3, L5, L7). It certainly won't work on newer phones. (Yes, although the format is still kdz, the extracting method will differ between devices).
if i extract/ convert a kdz file to a zip zom can i install it in virtualbox
i installed android 4.3 on virtualbox so can i use my phone firmware on my pc??

No. You don't use anyone ROM in computer. You only can mod, cook it. Demo just on the phone. The dev-app can use Android Studio/eclipse.

Is there any tool to extract system.img?
UPDATE:
I found a way how to do it.
I used sgs4ext4fs by Chainfire to modify system.img and after that Ext2explore to extract files from modified system.img .
Also if anyone is interested how to extract hidden.img, first you need to modify it with sgs4ext4fs and after that use sgs2toext4. Then you can open modified hidden.img with ext4_unpacker and extract files from it.

bare with me on that one since I tried too many different options, following worked for me - required files attached here (I ziped, so hopefully XDA did not blocked it)
This is for Windows PC:
1. Download sgs4ext4fs.exe, and download firmware, unzip firmware up until you see system.img.
2. Open command prompt (on windows, click start, type cmd) where system.img, and type
sgs4ext4fs --trim system.img systemt.img
........ > you will see bunch of ............., but wait until it finishes.
3. Once it finishes it creates systemt.img, get sgs2toext4.jar (save it to the same folder), and open sgs2toext4.jar, and drag and drop newly created systemt.img to the window (sgs2toext4.jar's window), wait until it finishes, when it finishes it will create systemt.ext4.img
4. Now last step, download ext2explore.exe, and open it, and go to file --> open image and pick systemt.ext4.img, it will show the img file there (on both side of window), on the left side, select the systemt.ext4.img (should be showing full path), right click your mouse, and select save to your desktop or any other folder location you pick.
Obviously, next step will be odexing everything:laugh:

Unfortunately this doesn't work. When you drop the system.img.ext4 file onto the sgs2ext4 tool, no file is produced. The tool just keeps endlessly repeating:
"system.img.ext4 32 B 0 B/s"
I think that tool is too old (2.5 years old) and doesn't support the newest Samsung firmwares.

KII-L21C185B130 stock rom with enabled OTG + Gyroscope sensor + hideable Nav bar

hi all xda members
This is an edited stock rom with a collection of mods so make it on your risk
1- i extracted the stock rom's System.img and added gyroscope file (may needs rw-r--r-- (644) permissions)
2- replaced BOOT.img with this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/tutorial-enable-otg-honor-5x-t3322274
3- edited build.prop with these codes
Code:
ro.config.showNavigationBar=true
Code:
ro.config.support_otgstorage=true
4- repacked new SYSTEM.img & downloaded BOOT.img with all original *.img files as update.app
Tools used :
1- Huawei Update extractor to extract original UPDATE.APP
2- Tool Unpack Repack System.new.dat to extract SYSTEM.img to files and folders
3- ANDROID_IMG_REPACK_TOOLS_CYGWIN_SRC_5.1.1_r1 to repack SYSTEM.img with this command
Code:
make_ext4fs -s -l 3000M system_new.img system_mnt

Are you kidding sucker ???
You created a so call custom ROM which is mostly a collection of mods from different devs or modders, you don't even want to test it yourself as you're scare and care about your phone, but you ask others to be your guinea pig to take the risk to brick their phone ???
Shame on You !!!

Welcome and thanks for your work. Unfortunately none of those tweaks work on my L24 because of the custom kernel needed. But I'm sure the L21 users will thank you.
also you may want to look here for a quicker way to build the Rom >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/development/custom-rom-starter-template-honor-5x-t3328809

It's the firmware just rename it to update.app and place it in folder named dload and make a hard rest by pressing vol up + down + power

1- i extracted the stock rom's System.img and added gyroscope file (may needs rw-r--r-- (644) permissions)
2- replaced BOOT.img with this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/tutorial-enable-otg-honor-5x-t3322274
3- edited build.prop with these codes
Code:
ro.config.showNavigationBar=true
Code:
ro.config.support_otgstorage=true

@aymanshow
Can you please answer,
What is the profile you used in repacking the app file in extractor tool?
If you have created new one for gr5 please share.
How did you manage to sign the edited update.app file to be able to flash by placing in dload folder ?

I already shared the firmware here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75076587&postcount=7
This is the September version. In order to get to the newest version of Nougat, you have to install the update zips one by one. They are on the forum too.
Happy flashing

No, unzip the archive and then click on Edit phone Information on OST. You can do this while the archive is extracting to skip some wait time. Then open your favorite terminal program and flash the img files from the archives like this: (example with the included fastboot-android.exe on Windows)
fastboot-android.exe flash x x.img. X is the filename of the img file. You can look into my linked article to see which partitions you have to flash for a complete system reinstall. Note: if you flash recovery, your twrp will be replaced by the stock recovery.
