Asus Zenfone Max Full Review! - 5000 mAh Battery! - Asus Zenfone Max Questions & Answers

Hello Everyone! I couldn't find any threads dedicated to the Zenfone Max and hence, I am sharing my review here. I had the Zenfone Max for about 15-20 days for review and for under $200, This phone offers some decent specifications like Snapdragon 410 CPU, 2GB RAM and a monstrous 5000 mAh battery. The Battery life is just outstanding on this phone and I easily get more than 7 hours of screen on time and 2 days worth of battery life out of this phone. The performance of the phone although, is quite disappointing and Asus could have made a lighter version of Zen UI for the phone. I have made a full video review of the Zenfone Max so please have a look at it and I hope my video helps out the potential Zenfone Max buyers.
Thanks

[Q] ZTE Z9 mini - rapid discharge

Dear users of the forum
I am very worried about rapid discharge sine Z9 mini phone
If you do not use the Internet the phone behaves with dignity
But it is worth it to the Internet and download the client social network Vkontakte - here right away we decrease interest charge.
Through the program Kernel Adiutor I changed frequency: c 800 -1436 at 400-1133, set Scheduler Ondemand. Bates GPU frequency from 533 to 400 (because the standard is always working frequency of 533 regardless of the load). Launching any tweaks to the kernel, the performance of the battery and the like, and the phone began to live a little longer.
But for example a game like World of Tanks Blitz eats battery all in 40 minutes - my colleagues at work are the result of one hour and a half with batteries 2200 and phones that have 3-4 years (with bad batteries that must be replaced) and then 3050 mAh spent 40 minutes.
With offline 4pda curator of one of the others he said he compiled the kernel by phone 410 snapdragon is not 64 bit and 32 - and everything was just better (and at the moment is trying to do the same for about 615 snapdragon for nashago phone still will not make unnecessarily . he did not have much time available.
And in consequence, any firmware ported keeps the battery as little as they use official sources supplied by ZTE.
I am sure that my question is not the first of its kind, and on the processor and can have a solution
Must be some problems in phone
Hey if it apps.....first of all uninstall xender.....it autostarts and drain battery even in standby or otherwise root your device and install root booster(dominik Nozka)(free but in app purchase) in playstore and purchase the extreme modes.......(0.99$ only)
But of it is hardware i guess change the battery as it is nearly dead.....this happens even in my dad's old symbian-java phone(7yrs old but still on stock battery. Which was with handset suffering drom rapid discharge.)

The best rom for LeEco Le 2 X520 with Snapdragon 652

Hello everybody!
Can anyone suggest the best rom for Leeco Le 2 X520 with Snapdragon 652?
I am searching rom which is acting without problems (with camera and photo quality, audio and battery drain).
Actually I use Lineage OS 13 but the video recording don't work (in the 14.1 I have the same problem).
I testing Small EUI by Auriel V2 but the wifi don't work.
V3 it's OK
for me, The BEST is MIUI,, but I have problem with my work-app : THEM not want ROOT
Inviato dal mio Le X527 utilizzando Tapatalk
Auriel V3? Maybe I test it
On the Lineage 13 I can recording video using Footej camera.
Can I do anything with SOT and cpu temperature?
After change rom to Lineage cpu is more hot (60+ st) and the sot is max 4h.
No-frills CPU Control is good choice? (to change clock freq.)

Check for any wake locks or recent apps installed
A freshly installed ROM needs about a few charge cycles or 3 days to set in
Thanks
Battery working ok but when I watching video in the Opera Browser Battery out very fast - 1% - 1-2minutes and the procesor is very hot (70st) - video 720p :/

Battery will drain while steaming videos you can't do anything about that
Miui 8 is best
Change kernel or cpu freq can't do anything?

Redmi Note 7 Battery Issue

Just bought Note 7 yesterday. Got an update. Current Rom version is Miui 10 (10.2.8.0) Stable. My phone's battery is draining a lot.
My previous device was Redmi Note 5 Ai and on that device I got a great battery backup. Like 1 hour+ SOT consume only 10% charge but on RN7 I got only 30-35 min SOT on 10% charge.
And draining percentage is also high, regular social media and other task takes around 400-500 mA continuously but on RN5 it was only 300-350 mA
Is is rom issue or something else?

RN5 and RN7 has same size battery. But RN7 uses more powerful and power hungry soc, AND has bigger display to light. So dont you think its only logical to get such results?

Wait, i thought the more powerful a chipset is, the more it's optimized to be less battery hungry? Wow, thank goodness I never fell for those flagships with 3000mAh.

With smartphone socs its all about semiconductor size. While its true that newer architecture 7nm snapdragon 855 will be more power EFFICIENT than 10nm snapdragon 845, it doesnt necessarily mean its gonna use less power, because its also faster, running at highers clocks and in result using more power. If 855 only had to reach 845 performance level, then yes, it would use less power. In this case, RN5 uses sd636, while RN7 uses sd660, which is basically same soc. Same architecture, same design, only difference being sd660 is a bit faster because its clock frequency is bigger. To put it simply sd660 is overclocked sd636. So logically it uses more power, because higher frequency requires higher voltage, and higher voltage means more energy used.

Wow thanks for this.

Why is rn5pro performing better than rn7 in terms of gaming performance like pubg ?

I have my friend who has redmi note 5 Pro and his device is performing better than my device which is the redmi note 7 and even the heating issues are more in redmi note 7 when compared to redmi note 5 Pro. I get like 5hrs sot on a full charge for casual use. I'm on miui 10.3.6.0 global stable. Better gaming performance would be my priority right now. A help would be much appreciated

On casual use. While gaming it gives 3 hours and 40 mins
both phones have 4000mah battery and similar FHD+ screen.
the difference is: RN5 has SD636 and RN7 has SD660.
both are fabricated in 14nm but SD660 is more powerful, with better GPU and higher clock speed. that's why RN7 consume more power compared to RN5.
Unless you under-clocked the CPU and GPU, there's no logical way for RN7 to have better battery life compared to RN5; under the same circumstances.
but if we're talking about gaming, yes. RN7 has better graphic performance compared to RN5.

Not really true. 660 is designed to be more battery efficient than the older 636. Check the performance comparison provided by Snapdragon.
Because the 660 is clocked at a higher speed and has a faster gpu. I have both phones and you get about 10% to 20% better performance with the 660 but you lose about the same on battery life.
For example the RN5 gets from 8 to 10 hours and the RN7 gets 6 to 8, depending on the games or features you are using of course. Maybe the 710 or 712 have similar performance to the 660 while having the battery life of the 636.
my neighbor has rn7 i have rn5 in free fire mine loads faster than his. i got to say that i use custom kernel and i have franko kernel manager and set profile for free fire to all cores at 1113mhz. and performance is same heat is the same.

No, it isn't, SD636 is an underclocked SD660 with a weaker GPU. The SD636 came after SD660, not the other way around like you said.

The "performance" you mention is only battery related or actual gameplay related too?
If it is the later pay attention to some graphic changes from one device to another, Android games usually tend to add more visual effects according to the SoC being used, which in turn makes the game heavier.

Thermal Throttling on POCO F2 Pro

Looks like some POCO F2 Pro got thermal throttling.
It need to look like this: https://www.chinamobilemag.de/test/poco-f2-pro.html#hardware-performance (last picture - 15 min. test)
On some reviews I saw throttling after 7-8 min. so maybe you check your device and in case of throttling you replace your F2 Pro.
Summer but not too hot starting of with not cold but slightly warm phone.
Under all core synthetic load lower tier cores started throttling at 14min and the highest clock core still at full capacity.
Honestly anything over 5min mark on synthetic load is impressive without active cooling.
I don't see many things that would utilize so many threads with continuous load. I wonder if adding GPU load to the mix wouldn't have changed things. Then again it's not a gearvr kind of a thing with 60hz fullhd + screen do I wouldn't expect it to throttle under real world load.
And I must say both during use and fast charging poco f2 pro feels less hot than 9t pro did. Charges longer at high current before temp rises enough to slow down charging.
