I am very worried about rapid discharge sine Z9 mini phone
If you do not use the Internet the phone behaves with dignity

Through the program Kernel Adiutor I changed frequency: c 800 -1436 at 400-1133, set Scheduler Ondemand. Bates GPU frequency from 533 to 400 (because the standard is always working frequency of 533 regardless of the load). Launching any tweaks to the kernel, the performance of the battery and the like, and the phone began to live a little longer.
But for example a game like World of Tanks Blitz eats battery all in 40 minutes - my colleagues at work are the result of one hour and a half with batteries 2200 and phones that have 3-4 years (with bad batteries that must be replaced) and then 3050 mAh spent 40 minutes.
With offline 4pda curator of one of the others he said he compiled the kernel by phone 410 snapdragon is not 64 bit and 32 - and everything was just better (and at the moment is trying to do the same for about 615 snapdragon for nashago phone still will not make unnecessarily . he did not have much time available.
And in consequence, any firmware ported keeps the battery as little as they use official sources supplied by ZTE.
I am sure that my question is not the first of its kind, and on the processor and can have a solution

Hey if it apps.....first of all uninstall xender.....it autostarts and drain battery even in standby or otherwise root your device and install root booster(dominik Nozka)(free but in app purchase) in playstore and purchase the extreme modes.......(0.99$ only)
But of it is hardware i guess change the battery as it is nearly dead.....this happens even in my dad's old symbian-java phone(7yrs old but still on stock battery. Which was with handset suffering drom rapid discharge.)

[Q] CPU Explanation

Hello, can someone please explain how my battery life improves when I set minimum cpu clock from 200 to 500?
I usually get 3 hours of screen time, with 500 as minimum I get nearly 4 hours. This difference is significant enough to make me wonder and ponder about how this happens.
It's counter logical, something with a higher minimum should drain faster.. right?
Does both cpu states are working at the same voltage? If yes (or the difference is very small) then the battery saving are from the increased execution speed .
In my own opinion, i dont think it affect much, while more than 70%+ battery drain by screen, unless u use cpu 100% all the time, otherwise i wouldnt too much concern abt that

Chip efficiency changes with frequency. We tested this on my other phone (an Atrix- nice phone even now!)
Sometimes the CPU is just more power efficient doing tasks at higher frequencies. In a sense, the processor works faster, but for less time- so although it is running faster and requires more battery power, it completes the task much earlier and uses less power in total for that process.
My note, when running at 1.4ghz uses battery so much faster than at 1ghz, but the battery saving when dropping down from 1ghz is minimal, if existent at all.
Welcome to the not-always-intuitive world of modern CPU power usage.
The old mantra "higher frequencies use more power" becomes muddy in situations where the CPU can clock-gate parts of the chip when idle (cpuidle) and where the CPU voltage can change.
It was proven nearly a decade ago that if you don't change voltage at all with clock AND you have a good cpuidle implementation - it is actually best to always clock the CPU at maximum frequency. When voltage changes are in effect - it's harder to tell.
On most devices, the voltage for 500 and 200 are nearly identical. 500 does, I believe, have a somewhat higher bus frequency. So for a given workload, 500 MHz at, say, 20% load will use not much more power than 200 MHz at 50% load. In some cases, a device running at 500 MHz will finish a task more quickly and enter deep sleep faster.
Pretty much - 200 vs. 500 is really questionable in terms of which is best for power consumption. This is why I always set my screen-on minimum to 500.
Any frequency below 200 MHz is pointless as you can't undervolt those frequencies enough compared to 200 to make them have any benefit - in fact in many cases, adding a 100 MHz step is WORSE for battery.
Edit: One thing to note - In Gingerbread, the cpuidle driver was FAR less effective than it is in ICS. Only LPA and IDLE states were enabled by default, and the target residency for both was 40 ms.
In ICS, LPA, AFTR, and IDLE states are enabled and the target residency is 10ms. So it can hit deeper idle states far more often. For example, AFTR isn't as good as LPA - but it's better than dropping all the way to IDLE if you can't enter LPA. This is, in general, why the power consumption when wakelocked is much lower in ICS.
The bad news is that the suspend/resume cycle of the device is longer in ICS, AND cpuidle is totally blocked during suspend/resume - so the suspend/resume cycle eats even more juice than it did before, and it was historically one of the biggest users of power. Eventually I want to try and reduce this consumption.

How to Squeeze your OPO battery!

As the title sugests one of the main goals for everyone who scrolls and uses his OPO either to avoid awkward situations, for work or simply to check social networks etc, you want to have the best GOD DAMN Battery life you can possibly squeeze from your 3.1k mAh battery !
I am not responsible for any damage to your phone. Read before downloading or posting in the thread. Proceed with caution if you have no experience.
So to start off, i'm already assuming you have your OPO rooted, which is a must for this guide.
So you can go for any custom ROM of your choosing as long as it supports the Kernel of your choosing.
Before trying to say which Kernel is best, i'd like to state that I have a really simple philosophy which is,If it ain't broke don't fix it, so I go with the AK Kernel because it never failed me, has a really good comunity to back it up and is the only tested kernel for the OPO in the UKM Thread.
( Don't worry i'll paste the links to all of these things that I'm speaking of )
After you got your Kernel up and going you're gonna download the UKM ( Universal Kernel Manager ), which will enable you to use Synapse on your device.
So now you have the Kernel and UKM, which means it's time to flash them all.
Now flash your UKM file and after installing it flash the Kernel and you should be set!
Once the Phone has booted, just make sure to download Synapse from the playstore. I wouldn't recommend changing the voltajes on your cpu because you can really **** your **** up which no one wants!
I'm running with this profile for over 3 months and it has done me wonders ( pics below )

This means your CPU will be running 1.3 GHz less about 80% of the time, the suspended Cpu frequency will be 300-400 MHz lower and the GPU which goes to an all time high of 578 MHz every time you install a new custom rom will be lowered to 200 MHz. This will result in about 40% more battery AT LEAST.
I don't have any photos showing my battery time because i'm a bit stupid, but the next week i'll try to screenshot my battery life and show you, however, I do know that i'm averaging about 6 hours SoT with both Wi-Fi and Data turned on 24/7.
Also a really good and must have App that goes really well with this is Leandroid which makes your Data shut off after X minutes of the device being disabled. If you feel you're device is running low on battery because of uknown sources, I advise you to download Wakelock Detector to check if there is something keeping your cpu ramping up when it shouldn't be.
This is not optimal for a 3.1k mAh battery but, keep in mind that the memory leak issue is still in the works and this is the best I could do in the given situation.
Another point I would like to focus before ending this post is the screen brightness. We all know that Android L stock Brightness control sucks ( if you don't now you do ), so I recomend using Lux Lite, which controls your screen brightness by adjusting it whenever it receives more or less light in the sensor, and it has worked wonders for me, it you're interested in a profile I will link mine

TL;DR - limit all your frequencies to 1/2 of what your phone is capable of.
Theoretically it makes sense. But in real world if you do some thinking - the phone would do task X in 5 seconds @ max frequency then go to sleep. If you limit the clock to half of the original value - it doesn't use 2 times less power, it uses slightly less than max. However, you are forcing it to do that task in 10 seconds @ half frequency before going to sleep. This means that it will use more power to achieve the same goal.
I would advice you to find a suitable governor rather than deliberately making your device slower than necessary.

In all my runs with 2.5 GHZ and 1.2 GHZ I noticed a lot more difference running it with a lower clockspeed. ( 1- 1.30 hours more SoT )
I do know that the device requires more cycles to open an app while it's underclock however, i'm passing on what worked for me ( through some tests )

I have a peculiar problem with my OnePlus Two
The faster A57 cores don't get activated, I have tried using Antutu, played Asphalt 8 And NFS NL for hours.
But the cores just won't get triggered
I'm using A1 CPU tool to monitor the same.
Even CPU Z wouldn't show me any activity on the other 4 cores while Antutu was running.
Any ideas? It's brand new can be returned

I just installed A1 CPU to verify your issue.
It shows cores 0,1,2,3,4 are used at 1344ghz for me as well.
When i check with synapse (i'm on AK kernel) it shows all cores are used.
I guess it's a limitation with A1 CPU tool. Try with other tool that supports such architecure.
I was sceptical on the same but, out of the box I remembered seeing 1777 MHz frequencies.

Though I think if you're on a different kernel and had the A1 CPU tool been correct it would be redundant, Because core allocation would be done on kernel level (in my knowledge).

The problem is that performance of device gradually decreases proportionally to the level of the battery.
For example:
- battery is 90%, Real Racing 3 runs perfectly,
- battery is 45%, some lags appear during gameplay
- battery is 10%, heavily FPS drop, almost impossible to play
Battery saver is turned off, device is cold in all tests.
If I would like to save my battery level - I will turn on battery saver manually,
but I WANT to have good game experience not depending on battery level
This is really crazy.
Tested on stock OOS 2.1.1, with stock kernel, with Boeffla an AK, tested on Exodus ROM - everywhere I can see this weird behaviour.
May be some system files must be edited to overcame this issue?

I'm facing the same issues on my new device and it's definately not normal!
With a battery level of 19% I was not able to get the 4 A57 cores online, which results in lower system performance. Have you found a solution?

Maybe we should rename the thread into: IS OPT PERFORMANCE REALLY DEPENDENT ON BATTERY STATUS AND IS IT A ROM FEATURE OR AN ISSUE!?
I think, one of the kernel devs should be able to answer this question.

I've never experienced such a function!
CPU power depending on battery voltage!? 62k with full battery, 49k with 20% battery both with same CPU temps!
Hopefully not a general problem on our side with the motherboard Voltage Regulator or something.
Have you been to a kernel thread and asked this question? If not, I will ask this in AK's kernel thread. Maybe he knows more about it!
The 4 high performance cores will only be activated when needed. What app are you using to check the core usage? Every now and then you should see 2 of the high performance cores sometimes coming to life every now and then, with the other 4 power efficent cores being more busy. Use CPU-Z to check.
Due to the way Oxygen OS's stock kernel works, only 2 of the high performance cores will ever be active, alternating between the 4 cores in an attempt to keep the phone cool and not throttle as often. If you want all 4 high performance cores to be active as well as overclocking it back to its original speeds, you'll need to flash a custom kernel.

Hi,
would like to share I don't have a similar experience, with NFS NL or Asphalt, phone was consistent with no lags even when it got unbearable to hold.
I as playing and simultaneously screen mirroring over to a TV.
Going from 65 to 25% over a long course.
I normally won't let my battery fall below 20%.
So the thing about Li-ion/pro is that as you go lower voltage decreases so to provide same power draw current increases.
Basically it would heat up faster.
That can be a reason combined with that their might be inbuilt measures to save battery like you said, nor as an engineer I would recommend you to stress your phone at those levels.
I can't explain the lag at 45%, didn't find it might try real racing 3 later to check.

This is consistent with what I've noticed. The time It didn't, a simple reboot helped solve it and it hasn't occurred since.
Also these tools can't monitor the other cores, if you're rooted why not try synapse as helkat suggested

I know how the S810 should work!
But I thought the performance issues have only to do with the temps. But now it seems it have also to do with the battery level.
It would be good if someone tries to reproduce the following to verify it:
1. One run Antutu benchmark with fully charged battery and room cool temps.
To be sure the conditions are the same, shut the display off for one or two minutes, than start display again, kill all recent apps and run Antutu test and note the results.
2. Than wait or do something until your battery is down to 20%, shut the display off for the same time, kill recent apps and start Antutu test run again and compare the results.
I've also tried the same after a reboot, with always the same results.
With 100% I get scores between 60 and 66k and with lower capacity (20%) I get only 48 till 50k!
I am not interested about the benchmark results, but I need to know if this only occurs on my side.

So, guys!
I have tested it the last few weeks and it is a fact that the performance in benchmarks is dependent by the battery level.
We have tested it with 3 devices and it is always the same.
But thank God, it seems on the devices perfomance themselves (in apps/ui) this has no effect!
But each one can replicate this behavior very easy!

I have the same issue! When battery level goes lower than 20%, my A57 kernels become offline. I checked this with CPU-Z and PerfMon. And this is the same on stock or custom kernel. Now I am using Boeffla kernel. The most frustrating is that my UI suffer from this. I have lot of lags in simple apps, such as calculator or some messengers.
Same issue here, there are threads in one plus forums.
I think the threashold level is at 40 % ?? They made this to keep the battery up. You can also see faster battery drop till the 40-30% mark then it is harder to kill the battery.
I am also dissapointed in this, maybe we can search the kernel sources ? Or is there a daemon app that triggers this?
I received the phone with 20%-30% battery, started an antutu knowing how powerfull 810 chip is, then boom 45k same as the previos phone i had with 801 chipset...i was like what the fxck....runing antutu again with full battery - 66k.
well i have run benchmark in back ground with few game and apps .. and checked with cpuz max that i have notice was around 50-60% cpu load still 2 off those a57 cores were off using this device for 2-3 days it always turns off 2 cores for me rest 6 is working most of the time :/ Even in battery saver mode .. i am not sure if this is a cpuz issue as i have not rooted my device yet so cant say properly ..
Also i face some freq. benchmark issue like in benchmark it scores around single core - 690 multicore - 2.6K .. and if i restarts device it scores normal - 1.1K and 4.5K .. i have no idea whats wrong with this :/
20% Battery Mark
The drop in performance at 20% Battery is standard behavior of the Rom and Stock Kernel. The Big Cluster (A57) is completly shut down to save Battery. If you dont want this you have to use a custom Kernel which is able to switch this Battery saving strategy off. Boeffla Kernel for example can do that.

Calm down lol it's actually good on their part. Shutting down A57 cores on low battery is a good thing because the A53 cores use much lesser battery. If you're out on a trip and have 10% battery, with the A57 cores this will probably drain off within an hour of intermittent usage. When only the A53 cores are active, the battery life will increase greatly.
Companies design phones for average users, not just gamers. If you don't want this feature, root your phone, flash boeffla's kernel and disable the BCL Battery Driver. It's as simple as that

Hey i tried many diffrent rom bui i can only get 2.5h SOT. Which kernel do you use and which rom to get the maximum battery life without lag?

They are at opposite ends. If you want maximum battery life then there no way to avoid lag.
You can completely turn off 2 or 3 cores, leaving you with a single or dual core phone;
You can also underclock and undervolt the remaining cores, reducing power consumption even more.
This is very battery friendly (in theory), but, as I said, it will give you big lags.

Cores need power to run. Turning them off is a completely logical option.
You really don't need all the cores for most tasks. You can browse Facebook, or whatever, just fine with only two cores.
I am currently running in dual-core mode with max cpu frequency at 1.2 GHz and it still is smooth.

I aldeady underclockt it to 1.2 ghz and undervolting it -625000 uV. Shut off to cores and use intellimm. I also under clock gpu to 320 mhz and under volt it 1 step down. I use zen with 1024 kb. Turn off android logger and zram. Use amplify, power nap, greenify and Max 700 mhz screen off. What I can do more?

Test your battery. Or better yet, start thinking of getting a replacement or a new phone. With a 2 hour charge something seriously is wrong with your device.
My 3 year old S4-i9500 still comfortably gets through the day. Bought a brand new original battery 6 months ago. Smooth sailing. No under-volting, shutting off cores, under-clocking or any crap like that. Phone is custom rom'med and correctly so if I may add.

lower values for read ahead cache are more battery friendly.
Also, bfq is considered more battery friendly too.

You are aware that he said 2.5h SOT, "screen on time" ?
That means that after using it for an entire day or two, the combined time of the screen being on is 2.5 hours, and in my opinion that is not really bad.
The screen is always the culprit when it comes to power consumption, and in a phone with a battery that doesnt exeed 2000mah its just natural

Had no idea - never really cared what SOT stands for anyway! But thanks for clearing that up. Always had satisfactory battery life on my S4. The few times I didn't was when a rom on my phone went bad & subsequently had to flash another.
So if what you say is true regarding a day or 2 battery life, then what is this chump complaining about? Turning water into wine? :silly:
So @GDReaper idea is right!I currently am on crDroid and when I switch off 2 or 3 cores the phone is as fast as it was and the battery lasts a little bit longer..With normal charging it goes to full for about 1 hour and half and without using it the batttery lasts 1-2 days,using it lasts about 3 hours or 4.I flashed a new kernel and turned on fast charging on Kernel Adiutor,now the phone charges full for about 45 minutes and lasts same! I'm very happy with my battery bcs I haven't changed it since I got the phone!

I am currently using Miui 10 pro global V8.9.20 + Illusion kernel V3 which is giving me 5:30 hrs of screen on time completely bugless.

I have never got this much screen on time on the leeco le 2 (SD version) so I just had to share this with somebody... anybody really. Whomever has done better please feel free to share your awesome le 2 battery life with smallEUI, stock,or any other rom (doubtful).
So I just got 8 hours and 30 minutes of sot running smallEUI version 3 with illusion kernel v2.5. (Note: I used v2.5 because v3 uses lazy plug for CPU hot plugging which IMHO has far more battery drain than the stock Qualcomm core control) but I digress...
Anyways, I am a heavy gamer and frequently play real racing 3 for more than 1.5 hours in some days Today I decided to cut back and only played it for 25 minutes.This reduced gaming time enabled me to subject my phone to a more mixed use pattern. When I started I wasn't even looking to break any screen on time records but at around 21% battery remaining, I was at 7 hours SOT so I decided to keep using the phone normally until I ran it down to empty.
Here's some background to this achievement...
First off, I don't run anything on stock settings. I use a slimmed down EUI rom, a custom kernel to boot, and minor tweaks to the build.prop. I have done major tweaks to the custom kernel, use greenify in elevated mode, and block the recommended wakelocks on kernel adiutor app. I have also improved thermal thresholds to minimize throttling. When CPU thermal throttles, it leads to more power consumption because it has to stay on longer and use more CPU cycles to finish tasks that it could have completed much faster with high clock speed at the expense of negligible heating. I looked at the stock smallEUI thermal config and was shocked to find that the CPU starts throttling when it reaches temperatures as low as 38 degrees Celsius. (That's too low). The big cores are allowed to hot plug at a measly 40 degrees and at 42 degrees the system is allowed to turn off three of them. Only CPU 4, which is the first big core that controls the other 3 is exempted from being turned off due to this insanely low threshold. However, it doesn't escape the overall thermal tolerance which is set at 38-70 degrees. At which point, it will be doing just 883MHz before getting completely shut down! We all know (I hope we do) that big cores are generally more efficient at higher clock speed but someone must have missed the memo here. (Big cores are set to throttle down to 998MHz at just 50 degrees! Crazy, right). @iaureeel should look into this.
For monitoring, I use better battery stats xda edition, gsam battery monitor, and kernel adiutor overview page. I don't have WiFi so all data comes through 4G (the signal is usually above average to excellent) -- this phone has better reception than any other I've ever used ??

I watched some YouTube over 4G for 30 minutes
I used brave to browse the web for just over an hour.
Side note: surface flinger showed up on BBS probably because I speeded up scrolling in build.prop. It shouldn't be this active but the power draw is probably not too significant.
How I did it

5. No automatic brightness! I often get by with minimum brightness but when I need more I manually bump it up to 10-25%. 50 % is enough for me to comfortably use the phone outside. And not in direct sunlight because who can compete with the sun? Not any phone's display. THAT'S FOR SURE!
6. Cherry-picked build.prop tweaks
7. No Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and other naughty social apps that put your phone in a wakelock chockhold until its precious juice is depleted.
Conclusion:
I have never been one to hunt screen-on-time records (and wasn't in this case) but today has showed me a side of this phone that I didn't know existed. That's really good battery backup. I didn't think it was this easy but leeco did some clever things too in order to make it possible. First is charging the battery to 4.4 volts which increases charge holding capacity to 110% of the reference design. I don't recommend that you charge to 100% because it will be at the expense of battery life span. (Unless leeco uses a military grade battery like they do in the Coolpad cool 1 dual and LeRee le 3).
Another thing that helps is the inclination of EUI towards power saving. SmallEUI is even better because it saves power without hindering user experience. Notifications come on time and there is no stuttering even on stock everything.
Full disclosure: My phone is brand new(ish) at just one month old.

I have THE Answering for You and ALL other Le Membershipper`s...
If you have a Smartphone, You have to CHANGE your Battery between 12 to 18 Month`s. If you are working in Office and you Use the whole Day Wireless Lan? Then, you have to change the Battery between 12 Month`s and every Year behing the change!
And Dubble 3M Band for the Displayframe you have to Buy also. Oh, IF, you want to Change your Battery then you NEED a HOT Gun Pistol with Minimum 110 Degrees! Heat Up the Frameside about 5-10 Millimeters and DON`T Lift it UP in the Roundings of the Edges! They are Breaking!!
