Sorry, if you have the problem yet you can try to connect your phone in fastboot mode (having all drivers ok) and write "fastboot devices", if your device appears download the twrp modified of the link of the instructions to install OOS 3 (https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/installation-instructions-faqs-oxygenos-3-0-0.439108), open cmd in the download folder (shift + right mouse -> open cmd here) and write "fastboot flash recoery recovery.img". This did not work for me, but I tried it with an toher recovery. I wish you solve the problem soon!

Are you on TWRP 3.0.x.x?
If yes, then go to Mount Section, enable MTP.
Connect to your PC, transfer desired ROM.zip and flash.
If no TWRP, then reboot to BootLoader/Fastboot
Download latest TWRP from official website, then flash it using command:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot reboot (keep holding vol- to enter TWRP)
where "twrp.img" is name of the recovery file.

Try with Latest TWRP build.
And at worst case scenario use Qualcomm Recovery Tool to go back to OOS 2.1.1, as already you have lost all your data.

OP2 stuck in bootloop on upgrading 3.0.2 .. even after trying tons of things

First of all i want to say thankyou to the xda community who help people like us and build rooting and other flashing softwares.
So, this is probably my first post on xda, first for sure when i'm stuck and asking for help
Background of the Problem:
I was on OS 2.1.2 rooted with twrp recovery. (was really happy with my phone)
MM 3.0.2 upgrade comes and i decide to upgrade my phone manually (since ota was disabled due to root)
All goes well in first try..(did a dirty flash) OP2 3.0.2 runs smoothly
However, i found out i had lost root and couldn't boot into recovery.
I ignored for a month when i decided it was too hard to go on without root now..
So i searched through a few forums, went into fastboot tried oem unlocking.. failed.. Stuck hard in the bootloop..
Searched for about 3hours and used the MSM tool to finally unlock bootloader.. but still stuck at bootloop and no luck with recovery.. I couldn't boot into my installed rom(3.0.2)
I flashed recovery from OOS 2.1.2 or 2.0.1 and booted into recovery and flashed 2.1.2 again..
So now, 2.1.2 runs fine on my phone
I have refered to these guides/files while trying to install 3.0.2 or trying to recover my phone

PROBLEM:
Whenever i update my phone to 3.0.2, it stucks at the bootloop (showing oneplus logo and cmd showing it in fastboot mode)
i lose recovery and rom
i have tried flashing grarak recovery and hybrid recovery (both of which i believe are modded recovery for OOS MM)
In cmd, fastboot flash command completes without any problem but the phone doesnt boot to recovery and both give an error while giving the fastboot boot command
" downloading boot.img
OKAY
booting...
FAILED (remote: dtb not found)"
finished. "
Please suggest me something so that i can boot into 3.0.2 without bootloop problem.. 3.0.2 runs really smooth..
and additionally if possible, i would like to root but thats secondary.
Thankyou guys in advance. Please help a brother out

Heyy.. Thanks a lot Jyoti_re! It worked out perfectly..
I have done till step 3.. The phone booted into 3.0.2
The sensors are not working. I will flash the presist.img as you said in step 4
However, i have encountered a problem. My OP2 is a 64 GB version. But now the internal storage shows 7gb free out of 9.66 GB.. Earlier it used to show 54GB instead of 9.66..
What should i do?
Thanks again
Yes u must have to flash persist.img via firstboot mode by typing [ fastboot flash persist ] for sensor correctly working.
Install es file explorar from play store and check which folder taking More space

Yeah i got it.. Flashed the persist img.
i searched through the forums.. somehow my device got the 16gb version img.. i dont know how..

When you are in fastboot mode..
Try giving the command
"fastboot continue"
or
"fastboot reboot-bootloader"
"fastboot continue"
(without quotes) if your system files are not corrupt, it will boot you into your rom.. and then enable oem unlocking from settings
Tried this commands and the system reboots and stucks on the screen powered by android.

Just a question, I have to use the Flashtool to flash the firmware and after that the TWRP and Supersu options?
I've been using beta4 (and beta3 previously) for months and quite like them. Also, since the original factory rom is filled with adaware, isn't as up-to-date with Android's security patches and doesn't pass SafetyNet, you're gaining a lot and not losing anything switching or rooting for that matter.
Though I still prefer magisk over rooting since it's more secure and more than enough for adaway.

You can but you don't have to. I had a problem flashing beta4 and twrp at one go but booting the phone once with just beta4 and then powering off and flashing twrp and\or rooting afterwards solved that.
Btw, the dev is developing gesture modules for the kernel (built-in beta4) and an app to go with them: http://getbest.ru/kernel_gesture.htm I didn't find the feature useful enough to keep around but it works as advertised and, once again, magisk was enough.
Overall, the rom is an absolute must as far as I'm concerned and I wouldn't be using this phone if it wasn't available. It would have been nice if the dev could keepup with android's patches better but seeing how he's doing a better job than doogee and for free I can't really complain.
Do the camera and fingerprint work?
Hi. I wish to give my really thanks to the developer of this rom.
It solve my problems:
Stock rom R16:
sim card WIND (IT) poor 4G/LTE reception
sim card VODAFONE (IT) no 4G/LTE reception
(tested switching 1-2, various city zones)
This Rom:
both full 4G/LTE reception!!

Hello Maria and thanks for your experience.
What can you say to me about the fingerprint and camera functionality?
Do they work fine on this rom?

Hi.
My phone (X5pro) hasn't fingerprint reader.
The camera seems to work in normal way.

P.S.: May be it depends by my phone, but sometimes touch is not reponsive; I have to push the power button ("stand-by") and push it again to have normal touch response.

The flash guide you linked is the right guide.
What exact model of phone you have?
Does the scatter and other files are in the same folder? (unzipped, you know).
Does the flashtool give any error message with the 32bit version?
Regards
M.A.
I tried both the 32bit and 64 bit versions of this rom, it's pretty good for a beta. However I had a problem with the screen going dark while using it and once the screen inverted colours randomly. Has anyone else had this problem with this rom? I'm currently using the android 6 stock rom but would love to get 7.1.1 working perfectly.
installed with SP flash tools x5pro-7.1-x32-BETA4 from a stock kernel 6.0 (R16)
with no luck. At booting snowcatPDA logo shows for a while and continuously reboots.
Flashed from ubuntu linux 16.04:
Download Only option (should I have choosen Firmware Upgrade?)
Scatter-loading File MT6735M_Android_scatter-WIPE-CLEAN_INSTALL.txt (should I have choosen MT6735M_Android_scatter.txt?)
I had the bootloader locked in development options (had it to be open?)
I also had USB debugging ON
Any tips?

Hi.
Now I'm at home.
Tomorrow morning, when I'll be at office I'll write down steps by steps I did.
(home... office..., reverse of natural manner, because I do all my mobile hobbies at lunch pause; at home PC is used by others )
Hello, here I am.
The follows are the steps, more or less, that I did.
(maybe you already did some of these)
1-Start from official R16 ROM
2- Developer option
#a. Enable USB debug#b. Enable OEM unlock
3- Security: allow unknown origin installation
4- Unlock bootloader
#a. Connect in fastboot, from ADB command mode:type: adb reboot-bootloader ___ (Wait 1-3 second)type: fastboot devices ___ (verify device is detected)#b. verify bootloader unlock statustype: fastboot getvar all ___ and you get= warranty: yes= unlocked: no#c. unlock bootloadertype: fastboot oem unlock ___ and you get-> start unlock flow---> on screen appear:vol UP=Yes; void warranty, clear ALL datavol DWN=no; no unlockPress Vol UP#d. verify bootloader unlock statustype: fastboot getvar all ___ and you get= warranty: no= unlocked: yes#e. May be phone restart
5- shut down phone ___ AND ___ get out battery
6- Flash phone with
MT6735M_Android_scatter-WIPE-CLEAN_INSTALL.txtas per normal way (You know this , after some trying...)
7- WITHOUT starting phone, ___ Flash TWRP with
MT6735M_TWRPx32_scatter.txt (or the 64, according to the ROM you flashed)
9- Put battery in ___ AND___ start in TWRP recovery
#a. hold Vol Up, press ON button until appear a micro menu, release buttons#b. choose recovery with Vol Up and confirm with Vol Down
10- in recovery, choose wipe, and on bottom of the screen slide for factory reset
11- on TWRP main, choose reboot, power off
12- get out battery for some seconds
13- get in battery and start up (It can take a lot, may be leave the phone connected to main)
This is what I did (if I remember all the single steps...)
Try and report to us.
M.A.
Nope!, in step 9 when trying to start in TWRP recovery I get a continuous bootloop showing SnowcatPDA logo

Hummmm....
It seems won't go in recovery mode, I think.
Try this:
1- flash entire stock ROM
(may be take this ===http://www.doogee.cc/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=29=== just in case)
2- start phone normal, up to home screen (so the phone is as just brougt)
3- power off and try to enter stock Recovery
If it works (and your bootloader is unloked) then try this
Connect phone to PC in fastboot
and enter
fastboot devices (I do this each time, just in case PC don't detect phone)
fastboot boot recovery.img
where recovery.img is your TWRP
The phone should start in TWRP recovery
The fastboot boot recovery.img command
send recovery (kernel?) image to temp phone folder/ram
and boot from that.
It unaffect normal rom/recovery.
By this step, we check If your phone accept this TWRP and sort out some possible troubles.
M.A.
when doing 'fastboot boot TWRP-3.1.1-X5PROx32.img' I get:
USB transferring...
USB transmission OK
and doesn't reboot into recovery but it boots normally
since I'm doing this from stock kernel R16 I wonder whether it's 32 or 64 bits
However I've found recovery-twrp-3.2.0-git-20171204.img that boots!. But I don't have scatter file, only .img! This recovery is from Lineage 14.1, but since this custom ROM installs from TWRP there is no need of scatter file
I've found another TWRP that boots with fastboot boot img: the TWRP recovery for 6.0 in needrom. This one has a scatter file

Hi.
You have to select the file direct from the Needrom site.
www.needrom.com
(up)categories-doogee
on the right, click: Serial X
again, on the right, click: X5pro
and select the TWRP you desire.
(second line, second from left)
(click on "TWRP DG X5Pro (977 dls)")
Regards
M.A.
P.S.: even the link is
https://www.needrom.com/server/download.php?name=/2016/12/TWRP_DG_X5Pro.rar
you have to download from the site.
I'll try all this at the weekend, but my two cents are that it won't work. At first attempt I flashed BETA4 with MT6735M_Android_scatter-WIPE-CLEAN_INSTALL.txt (so no need to enter recovery and wipe cache/Dalvik) with a bootloop result.
My guess is that there are different ROM versions of X5 pro, and newest are incompatible with SnowcatPDA 7.1.1 firmware. Will see in a few days...
As I was suspecting I get a bootloop after logo. Now the question is: Is there a stable custom ROM (7.1 or newer) that I could use daily instead of MM 6.0 (R16) stock ROM?

Before this came out I tried the reversal process incorrectly by typing fastboot oem lock as the 1st step (I know it says above you need a brain). Now it seems there is no OS to boot to. I can boot to TWRP and fastboot but my computer doesn't see the storage. Is there a way to push the the rom zip and stock recovery image to your phone via adb? If so what are the commands?

I believe you should be able to go into twrp, go to sideload mode. Then the command would be abd sideload filename.zip This should then push the rom to your phone and install it for you. It has been a while since I needed to do it, as now a days I mostly keep my phones stock and locked.

Link for Stock Recovery is down. Please help
Nice guide but isn't step 10 unnecessary, since the stock ROM will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery anyway?
Thanks for the info. My phone's been acting very flaky since I rooted it, so I'm curious to see if returning to stock will make it a little less annoying.

sometimes it doesnt and hence before we relock the bootloader its necessary to ensure we have the stock recovery hence the step.

My problem is, although I still have TWRP and fast boot, I don't have an os at the moment and need to get one via adb somehow.
I've tried adb push but can't find in TWRP. My computer doesn't see my phones storage either.

Android 11 + TWRP + Root + Safetynet OK

I just want to share my trials and tribulations...
I tested many things and I manage to have my Poco F2 on Android 11 with easy way to root and have a Safetynet OK
There are many ways to do it but i never found it in only one post...
Here's my TO-DO list to make it...
1 / Starting from the bottom, I flashed the latest global rom (FASTBOOT METHOD to make a clean phone)
V12.0.3.0.QJKMIXM (Android 10)
- activate the phone after boot then go back to Fastboot Mode
2/ Unlock Bootloader via Mi Unlock (Fastboot Mode)
- activate the phone after boot then go back to Fastboot Mode
3/ Install TWRP via Fastboot mode
TWRP-3.4.1B-0328-REDMI_K30PRO
(XXXX is the name of your TWRP file)
- fastboot flash recovery XXXX.img
- fastboot boot XXXX.img
- After flash and the first boot to recovery, "format data" (The one you have to type YES) and reboot into recovery
4/ Install Latest Xiaomi.eu Stable (Or Weekly maybe)
[V12.1.2.0.RJKCNXM][Android 11]
- Copy the rom on your phone (from recovery)
- Install rom
- Wipe your data, cache,Internal storage, dalvik DONT WIPE SYSTEM OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE
- Reboot your device.
- If reboot to recovevy, then format data (again) and reboot system
- activate the phone after boot then start the phone to go to the desktop (google account, security,...)
5/ Root with Magisk Canary
- Reboot into recovery
- Flash Magisk-debug.zip then format cache
- Reboot till the phone ask for sim card code then restart
- Open magisk manager and check you on canary canal for update
- Root should be ok!!! (you can download the magisk zip from magisk manager then reflash it in recovery mode to be sure : i dit it lol)
Here, my safetynet was failed then my google pay didnt work
6/ For Safetynet, use MagiskHide Props (even if I don't use it cause i flashed persist.img from Official rom)
That's all from and for me
Hope it can help
PS : Maybe I have bugs but for the moment it's ok
Probably you loose possibilities to make fingerprint works again... I do the same things and now fingerprint doesn't work more, and there are no possibilities to make it works.

Seems to not want to reset even after a fastboot flash rom
Maybe we need to find another persist.img file....
If you find a solution before me, tell me
Put your phone in EDL mode(install qualcomm driver) and flash fastboot rom via MiTool.
Persist.img not flash in fastboot or twrp method...only EDL
Sorry for bad English.
I try that to flash in edl mode but it not possible because Mi flash tools need authorized account, I whole day trying to flash rom in EDL mode without any luck..

the last thing that I now trying is to flash China stable fastboot rom through EDL mode, because Fastboot and TWRP dont change Persist.img , only EDL mode, hope that China rom dont need authrorization

Maybe, I had sensors problem with my redmi note 7 and only orange fox was able to flash correctly the persist img.
Current twrp do not have access to this Partition, the result " FAILED remote: 'Partition is write protected".
I try this command with terminal "dd if=/sdcard/persist.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist" no error to report but not flash.
I try also to modify"rawprogram0.xml"in fasboot rom ,no error to report but no result.

Is decrypt for PIN on TWRP available?
Heard only pattern lock can be decrypted.
