Are you on TWRP 3.0.x.x?
If yes, then go to Mount Section, enable MTP.
Connect to your PC, transfer desired ROM.zip and flash.
If no TWRP, then reboot to BootLoader/Fastboot
Download latest TWRP from official website, then flash it using command:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot reboot (keep holding vol- to enter TWRP)
where "twrp.img" is name of the recovery file.

Try with Latest TWRP build.
And at worst case scenario use Qualcomm Recovery Tool to go back to OOS 2.1.1, as already you have lost all your data.

Sorry, if you have the problem yet you can try to connect your phone in fastboot mode (having all drivers ok) and write "fastboot devices", if your device appears download the twrp modified of the link of the instructions to install OOS 3 (https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/installation-instructions-faqs-oxygenos-3-0-0.439108), open cmd in the download folder (shift + right mouse -> open cmd here) and write "fastboot flash recoery recovery.img". Bootloop x727

I have successfully unlocked bootloader on 20s and then tried to flash a third-party rom from Cydras, which didn't work out. So in TWRP i chose to restore EUI from backup. After that the phone powers up and everthing works fine until the color-changing EUI logo appears... and that's where it gets stuck, not going beyond this point ever.
I tried to push an image to /sdcard/ but it said the directory is not there? That was when ADB/Fastboot was still able to see the device, it isn't any longer.
This means I can't get to TWRP and/or push a ROM to the device.
I can enter Fastboot Mode by pressing the Vol and Power buttons but this is no help as ADB/Fastboot doesn't see the device in this mode either.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and good karma to everyone
Anyone?
Would appreciate input! Thanks!
Without ADB or fastboot, I can't think of anything else you can do. If the phone is going into the fastboot mode, you need to figure out why your computer is not connecting to it.
Thank you for your note!
It's going into Fastboot mode by pressing Vol+/Power. It also goes into stock recovery but that one does nothing - it does wipe it seems but the only other option is to install update - which clearly isn't on my phone.
What could be the reasons my computer stopped seeing the device?
Strange: If I put the phone in Fastboot mode, my PC identifies it and starts showing Kedacom USB Device - Android Bootloader Interface in Devices.
Fastboot does actually see it and can perform a few commands. ADB, on the other hand, does NOT see it. What options do I have? I could push TWRP image to the phone. Is there anything else I could do now?
Please help! And thanks!
If you have access to fastboot, either flash or boot TWRP image and see from TWRP if the old backup is still accessible.
Thank you. Did just that but there's nothing there to recover, unfortunately. And I thought about installing system via Fastboot but can't find a system image (.img) anywhere
Please help!
Thanks!
Boot into TWRP and while in TWRP, see if the ADB works.
If ADB works, then push one of the TWRP backup zip file to the data memory and the recover from TWRP.

If you can enter Fastboot mode this will work. You can flash Fastboot rom (stock Eui 5.8.17S China), then you can start all over from there. It will erase everything on the phone so do backup everything. You will need to redo-unlock bootloader and re-install TWRP recovery.
Link for the Fastboot rom with how to flash it here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73913013&postcount=240
After flash if it show storage free space not correct install TWRP and go to Wipe > Format data, it should fix it.

So i was installing a rom and accidentally put to erase everything even internal sdcard when i did the wipe Now I cant even do anything but get on TWRP. When I reboot it just stays in google logo. PLEASE help me out and show me how I can put a ROM in my phone. Whoever helps me with correct information I will give you $50 through paypal or bitcoins if you wish.
Do you have a mac or PC?
If you have a Mac then DL "Android File Transfer" Connect your phone to your computer. Boot into TWRP. Your computer and Android File Transfer should see your phone. Drag a ROM .zip to your phone (and any other needed .zip's) flash the rom.

You can either download and reflash the factory image via fastboot from google:
https://developers.google.com/android/ota
Or download your ROM of choice with the correct vendor image to your computer.
Then while in recovery on the phone and connected to your computer navigate to where you downloaded the ROM, open command prompt or terminal and
"adb push FILENAME.ZIP /sdcard" push all the files you'd like . After finished either reboot recovery from TWRP or adb reboot recovery.
This assumes you have adb installed and as a system variable. If you don't have it installed in PATH then place the files in the appropriate adb location and navigate to it in command prompt and issue the adb push command.
Guys i was able to flash the rom and gapps to my phone using this method:
....highonandroid.com/android-roms/how-to-copy-files-over-to-your-android-in-a-bootloop-with-no-os-using-adb/2/.....
the only thing now is how do i flash .img files such as bootload, vendor and radio files? When im in twrp it gives me 4 options and says "Select partition to flash image"
Boot
System Image
Vendor Image
Recovery
Please let me know where to flash them.
i forgot to mention i have a PC
also to the 2 people above please pm me your paypal address or bitcoin address. Will give you a little something.
Those are the only images you flash via recovery, boot is kernel, the others are self explanatory. Bootloader's are flashed via fastboot.
If you were able to push a ROM via adb just flash the .Zip and boot the ROM as normal.

Hello, IMG files are flashed with fastboot from bootloader...
Why not starting fresh...
1 - first, power your phone down.
2 - press power + volume down to reboot to bootloader
3 - plug your phone to your computer
4 - download latest Google factory image here: https://developers.google.com/android/images
This is the latest 7.1.2 worldwide build: https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/angler-n2g47h-factory-f1111327.zip
5 - unzip and navigate inside the folder and locate the flash-all.bat
6 - make sure your phone is in bootloader and properly connected
7 - double click on flash-all.bat and let it run until it reboots
Now you'll have a full stock with latest 7.1.2 to start with...
Just in case, i don't need money. If you still want to donate, choose a charity association of your choice and only send a copy of the receipt here. That will worth 100x more for me than a personal donation... :good:
Good luck...

If your PC sees your phone when you are in TWRP then all you need to do is drag over a ROM .zip and the Vendor .img and then just flash them.
I often when doing a fresh fresh install erase everything including internal storage (SDcard) then drag over my needed files to flash and do so.
Since you have a PC i believe that Wang's (i forgot the exact name) toolkit can help you too.
Keep in mind: Really hard to kill a Nexus. If the bootloader is reachable you can always go straight to the stock and start again.
You can find a nice tut at Google's page:developers.google.com
Don't stress, there is (almost) always a way!

Lenovo K6 without OS

Hi, I already had my phone rooted and with TWRP installed, but I needed to restore my phone. First I did this trough the system, but I noted that a lot of old files still were there, and I went to TWRP and did a wipe, but selected /system and /cache, now I don't have a OS on my phone.
The phone doesn't turn off, everytime I try to power off, he turn on again, and stay on Lenovo logo. The only thing I can acess is Fastboot mode (via Power down + power), I cant acess TWRP trough the phone, but I found a .bat file, that when I'm in fastboot mode, it flashes twrp on my phone and I can acess it . The other problem is that I always get an error when trying to flash any rom. Things like Error:255 or ".zip file not valid". Tried 2 roms and nothing.
Can someone please help me? I would prefer a stock rom for Brazil, but now I just want any rom, dont even mind if it's not stock.

Error 255 is caused because you are trying to install a 64bit ROM over TWRP (32bits), you need to upgrade TWRP to 64bit, just so you will be able to install a ROM. Remember that you should use Gapps in 64bit [ARM64]
TWRP: https://dl.twrp.me/karate/twrp-3.1.1-1-karate.img
Gapps: http://opengapps.org/ (ARM64)

I already had this version of twrp, but downloaded anyway and got the same error when tring to sideload a ROM "Updater process ended with ERROR: 255" . I don't know what to do anymore, I tried with 4 different ROMs, also I searched for a method to erase the lines with asserts on "update-scripts" in META-INF, but then I got a "Invalid ZIP file" error.

Try to go back to the 32bits version and erase everything and format the data and return to the 64bit version because here I had this problem it was because of the TWRP that I was using, it was the 32bits version, after that I upgraded to the 64bits version I did not have this problem. Remembering that in the site https://dl.twrp.me/karate/ has two versions of TWRP, the version twrp-3.1.1-0-karate.img is 32bits and the version twrp-3.1.1-1-karate. img is 64bit.

MAN, the ERROR: 7 now could be solved by deleting the lines with ASSERT in "\META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script".
So, thanks for helping me, the problem with 64/32bits worked. I'm really glad that this worked, had stuck for 3 days without OS, now i'm never messing with this stuff again haha.

Dont forget to reboot again into twrp - after flashing 64bit twrp . This is a step that is very important if you will not reboot your phone into twrp after flashing 64 bit twrp then , it will keep showin you the error 255.

Use erase the data from wipe option then you will be able to install rom and g-apps.
Every time you will need password, I don't know why but after erasing data you install all files otherwise you need to erase data again and again

I Faced same problem. It's ok that your phone is in weird state for time now. And also possible to recover.
Hopefully you have adb-tool, custom-rom & gapp, twrp.img on your PC.
1) Boot your mobile in fastmode using Power ON with Volume down key for 5 sec (Lenovo log with left hand side sayinh fastboot mode)
2) Connect the mobile to PC using USB & Go to adb tool folder. Open command prompt in this folder & Execute the follow step by step execution
fastboot oem reboot-recovery
3)Wait for mobile to boot in to recovery mode with TWRP
Now need to flash custom-rom followed by gapps installion.
I) You can use pendrive with otg to flash custom-rom followed by gapps
OR
II)You can use phone storage/SD card to flash the custom-rom followed by gapps
OR
III)adb sideload command as fallow
a)In TWRP recovery on mobile, goto Adavanced->ADB Sideload & Swipe to start the sideload
Now on PC execute . Specify custom rom path inside ""
adb sideload "C:\adb\images\MyCustomROM.zip"
Have a patience to complete the operation.
Click back for Adavanced Menu again.
b) Select ADB Sideload & Swipe to start the sideload
Now on PC execute . Specify Gapp path inside ""
adb sideload "C:\adb\images\open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20180611.zip"
c)Have a patience to complete the operation.
Once complete go to TWRP Screen.
d)Now go back TWRP main menu & select wipe->format Data.
Go to Reboot->system.
How to install TWRP if no OS there
1) Boot your mobile in fastmode using Power ON with Volume down key for 5 sec (Lenovo log with left hand side sayinh fastboot mode)
2) Connect the mobile to PC using USB & Go to adb tool folder. Open command prompt in this folder & Execute the follow step by step execution

{root} Boot-loader unlock, TWRP flash and Magisk install after updating to Pie

* I'm not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
* Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before flashing it!
* YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
* Your warranty could be void if you tamper with any part of your device / software.
* Same statement for XDA.
Needed tools : Backup your phone before following any steps
1. Minimal adb and fastboot
2. official TWRP 3.3 for jasmine_sprout Download img file from twrp website
3. latest magisk manager 19.2 zip file from magisk manager website
First step : Boot loader unlock
1) Tap on build number more than 7 times and unlock developer option in about phone.
2) turn on OEM Unlocking and USB debugging
Now open command windows in adb shell folder and connect your device to computer.
type : 1) adb devies (this should show your device after giving permission in your phone : conformation that your device is
connected)
2) adb reboot bootloader
3) fastboot devices ( conformation that your phone is coonected in fastboot mode)
4) fastboot oem unlock
( after that you need to follow according steps in your phone and grant to unlock phone)
keep in mind this will reset your phone. Afteer reboot again turn on developer options and usb debugging
5) fastboot flashing unlock_critical
( the warning and steps you need to follow again in your phone like in step 4)
this will again reset your phone.Afteer reboot again turn on developer options and usb debugging
Congratulations your bootloader is Unlocked now.
STEP 2. Flashing TWRP and Magisk Install
before that keep in mind As Mi A2 follows A/B boot partition system so DONT DIRECT FLASH TWRP FROM
FASTBOOT.
" Dont forget to turn on developer options and usb debugging "
open command window in adb shell folder and boot your phone in bootloader mode as told earlier and connect to computer.
Copy twrp-3.3.0-0-jasmine_sprout.img to minimal adb and fastboot folder. you can rename it to your convenient name
type : 1) fastboot boot twrp-3.3.0-0-jasmine_sprout.img
or if you renamed it
fastboot boot YourRenameName.img
this will temporarily boot twrp in your Device. As twrp is booted you will be able to see your phone connected in computer
(file transfer mode)
Copy and paste both magiskmanager.zip (current latest stable is 19.2 ) into phone
Flash your downloaded version of Magiskmanager.zip
Reboot your Phone.
Congratulations If nothing goes sideways Your phone is Magisk Rooted.
If you want to flash something using TWRP now is the time Otherwise as Mi A2 has A/B slot form and no Recovery Partition You Cannot flash TWRP permanently.
But You can always boot TWRP from adb and use it.

You May be facing some highly lag issues too. In that case flash stock rom using mi flash tool. In my steps i said that flash twrp.zip file after booting it. But flashing twrp.zip doesnt do anything. if you want to use TWRP you need to boot TWRP everytime from adb.
Also After flashing stock rom i am pretty sure that you will be able to flash custom rom.
follow this guide for flashing custom ROMs

I was on stock pie + may update (10.0.9)
Follow this way , unlock the bootloader via fastboot oem unlock, fastboot flashing unlock it will reboot here, goto developer settings Enable usb debugging
Then do this fastboot flashing unlock_critical It will again reboot
Now, install the magisk app And download the patched boot image from internet Whatever your build no is, mine was 10.0.9 so i downloaded version 10.0.9_boot.img
Open the magisk app, click on install , select and patch a file, Then choose this downloaded patched image, it will flash it successfully, if it don't Then you have mistaken something..
After this there will be a patched.img in download folder Which is just created by magisk, copy this img to pc, Through fastboot Flash it "fastboot boot patched.img"
Now, flash TwrpImage3.3.img through fastboot
When you boot in , Copy and paste your rom, gapps
Now flash twrpVersion3.2.img via fastboot
Clear system, data, caches, Flash the rom in slot B
Now flash the twrp3.2.zip through installed twrp, click on recovery And it will boot to twrp
Now Flash the gapps in slot a (i used nano)
Now flash magisk.zip through twrp
Reboot , That's it!
(Twrp 3.2 is stable for flashing rom and gapps , Just for first time When we coming from stock
Twrp 3.3 latest Gives us MTP transfer, The difference is this in using both of these)
Installation of magisk is the last process, it is part of rom, First installed ur desired rom and then magisk
You said, You installed twrp, as i mentioned above You forgot to do some steps as about patched boot + installation of magisk through patched file etc..
Though you can try to search on google for your next step
patched supported magisk Version x.x.x for mi a2
If you got the file, You are lucky.. otherwise flash the stock rom with mi flash tool
And Start from unlocking bootloader
Magisk Module available.

Checklist:
- there is file of <compatible TWRP recovery> in ADB/Fastboot directory with the name you are typing in fastboot command
- ADB drivers installed correctly (both "adb devices -l" and "fastboot devices" return valid results in corresponding phone states)
- only one phone (namely MiA2) is connected to PC
- phone fully unlocked (OEM debugging enabled and PC was previously approved for ADB in phone)
- USB port on MB of PC is USB-2.x or USB-3.x-compatible-with-Mi-A2<which is not true in general>
Several guys says that command "fastboot oem unlock" is old and now we have to write "fastboot flashing unlock" instead, then "critical".
Which is the best way now?
Thank you
