Yeah. I got 128K. I don't even know how to post a screenie.
This device is for sure a beast. Glad to have Snapdragon again.

On s6 it's hold power and home to screenshot. maybe it's the same on s7

This is mine EU exynos

Yup

Go team exynos!!!

I wonder why the RAM score is significantly higher on the exynos. Could just be better testing situation. Or maybe some bottleneck in the snapdragon.

That 3D score on the SD820 is pretty insane!

Indeed. Especially if coming from an s6. I scored 21699 in 3d and that's with my GPU over clocked...the new adreno is a beast

Yeah, I know how to take a screen shot, I've just never posted one on XDA. But it's on my to-do list.:silly:

So it seems the exynos and the 820 are actually pretty close, and 820 is pretty awesome in the 3d section

Has anybody tried it under water, so it stays really cool? Just to see a higher number?

Best yet for me

Should post what CPU you guys are on when posting screen shots. Just so we know.

Agreed it would be helpful. The one above is snapdragon because it's T-Mobile variant.

You can also swipe the side of your hand from one side to the next and it will take a screen shot.

Breaking News (RFS,Status LED,Benchmarks,...)

According to this german forum:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/samsung-galaxy-s2-forum/77869-samsung-galaxy-s2-info-sammelthread-4.html#post1105815
where a german guy has is hands on a SGS2, RFS is dead.
Also the SGS2 doesnt have a Status Led and getting warm.
Bechnmark results:
quadrant-benchmark: 60 fps and 2270 points
quadrant 2D: 18-38 FPS
BogoMIPS: CPU1: 1985,74
Here the link in google translate:

best regards.
That's bad.. but aren't this all unfinished devices?
The final product should be better imo...
Godd question. I dont know. Do u mean the benches?
I was sure it had a notification LED... if you look between the front-facing cam and the speaker grill in this picture, what do you think the two circles are? I was assuming one was a light sensor, the other a notification LED

My HTC Desire has the same configuration on the left side, minus the camera. I'm not sure what the second one could be (proximity sensor?), but I don't think it's a LED. I would trust the guy from the forums, after all he would notice if it was a notification LED.
i really hope samsung ditching rfs turns out to be true! maybe they learned wuite a bit from working with google on the nexus s?
What every this guy has it will be a prototype, on beta sw (probably same as at mobile world congress). This doesnt really get us anywhere new.

It would be good, but the SGS has the same sensors. I think they are light sensor and proximity sensor.
this is bad, ditch rfs and still only getting 2200. This just prove orion dual core are not up to par with other dual core.

Tegra 2 has been around much longer than Exynos. The drivers are most likely not optimised. So... it proves nothing, yet. This has been said many times, and don't believe every number you see.

Keep in mind that Samsung limits their drivers to 56/60 fps and that quadrant isn't optimized for dual cores yet. The individual scores of quadrant are the only things that really matter(at least when comparing scores between different devices).

Well the SG2 runs on 2.3.
It is my understanding the 2.3 did away with RFS. We should be in the clear.

The Samsung Galaxy S comes with a propietary filesystem called RFS.
This filesystem seems to underperform in some occasions. Some applications get laggy, and others just freeze when using it. This has reached a point on which an external team has created a tool that basically migrates the whole system to ext4.

Again too many people place too much weight on those stupid Quadrant scores.
Really, raw figures never counted for much. My SGS runs gazillion times better than it did with bogus Quadrant scores.
Exynos means "Smart" and "Green". I expect it to perform slightly slower, but provide much better battery life than tegra 2.

Actually, I ran Quadrant on an Atrix at the AT&T store last night and it got a very similar number. Something like 2200-2300. But, as others have said, for the millionth time, Quadrant scores mean very little. It's a flawed benchmark. It can too easily be manipulated to show incredibly high total scores, as we've proven with the Captivate time and time again.

It's a 1440x2560 display. It is also 6 inches, making the resolution around 490 ppi. Not too shabby but still isn't the same.
can you root it?
Is the bootloader unlocked?
will it have strong dev support?
Can I unroot it if I have to return it for warranty?
How's the battery life?
How do I unlock it?
/Trying my hand at "sarcasm"..
Yes you can..
Acording to GSMarena, it has the same resolution. that being 2560x1440. http://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_vibe_z2_pro-6396.php
Unless u know something we don't!
Just think though, next year, do you think we would start getting 4K resolution phones?

Yes, 2560x1440 is the same resolution as ours. The lower ppi is due to the extra 1/2 inch of screen size.

Engadget has them as far as I know
Is it worth buying this phone (Vibe Z2 Pro) Over Note 4?
i really like the specs and the build quality feels good too but i was wondering if Lenovo phones are good at all?
The phone is launching here this month.
Currently living in India with my g3, two qi chargers and a spare battery. This 4k battery and its relative low price have me almost ordering it. I probably would have already if it supported qi.
I don't see how this is relevant to the G3.

Just a quick Benchmark

I have played with the S6 Edge and Normal version for almost a week now. I work for T-Mobile and have been messing with the demo units and got my personal one on Monday. Here is a picture of a quick benchmark I completed and I have to admit, it feels just as fast as the benchmark shows.

Exynos is NOT faster than SnapDragon.. sorry..

it's all a matter of opinion. I've ran circles around an s8+ exynos.. not sure where people are seeing this so dramatic an increase. it's barely anything that will keep up with this chip except maybe the new one..
Here I've pulled a basically idle SnapDragon from cpu info.. I challenge anyone to PLEASE post one that even remotely and FACTUALY supports this obvious absurdity...

I was actually a Snapdragon user always. And that's the first time i use exynos.
But history shows that exynos is better in the long run. Battery wise it is also better. And i see it now.
Your post hardly makes sense. I don't understand what point you are trying to make
My exynos s8 doesn't need to strain my as much at idle as yours does though

I know right? I tried underclocking it but that just made it worse. I tried putting it in my car and driving really fast cause maybe it just needed to physically move fast, but I just got a speeding ticket. I submitted a ticket to Samsung but they just told me to by an S9+. I'm at a loss here.

Because e-peen is the most important thing in the world ok? So the real question here is why aren't you contributing to the competition??
no one claims exynos is faster they are on-par with each other. otherwise they would have sold these phones as different models. However, I believe if they were not forced to Samsung would sell exynos galaxy's to USA as well. exynos is a beter chipset for galaxy devices because its designed by samsung. snapdragon 835 etc is a generic SoC.

S20+ Exynos vs Snapdragon battery life test

Seems that the efficiency difference isn't so big after all. Less than an hour. Not too bad for the exynos this year. Samsung is definitely improving the exynos with every update. Waiting for custom roms/kernels for my exynos S20U. Should further improve battery life/performance..
There are various speed tests clearly showing the exynos is slower in day to day usage compared to snapdragon.
And then this, the battery life it worse, too.
However you say this is good. I don't get it, why do you seem to be happy with exynos when it's slower AND having shorter battery life?
And no, Samsung is not doing better, this year the gap between exynos and snapdragon is larger than ever. Last year they were closer.

The gap isn't too big for speed test too. 8 seconds? Not bad. Thought the gap would be much bigger for both battery and speed test, but it's not. Custom roms/kernels will definitely improve things further for the exynos. Even he said you won't notice any difference between the two variants in day to day use.
The big problem on exy is when you get out of home from wifi to mobile data on a trip. That eats the battery!
Gesendet von meinem SM-G988N mit Tapatalk
At the end of the day no matter what anyone says snap and exy are same price so we should be getting equal performance but no way exynos users have been shafted from battery usage to performance and camera
