First of all you need is to downgrade your ROM, as you have LA1 ROM installed which is not rootable

You have guide how to use pc odin.
Cwm is mobile application use to flash rom, as well use to backup/restore phone,
Rom is just os of mobile
Flash is procedure to install rom or part of rom

My phone when blank, and i force reboot, and now it have suspicious apps in my phone. But when backlight off and click the unlock button, my screen got blank, but got dot spot.. and i cant do anything, so i have to reboot, now how? my phone

Success the odin thing, but my phone when locked, and try to unlock its look like this, the screen got a dot spot, and it became brighter and brighter..

Introduction
Hii guys my name is Saska.I am also a owner of grand duos.Months before I posted a question that is how to root galaxy grand duos??..but I didn't get a proper answer and now I rooted my phone.So I decided to post a simple,easy,100℅ working no data loss method. Sorry for my bad English and presentation because this is my first tutorial.
Things you need :
• A PC/laptop (no need to have admin access)
• USB cable
• Galaxy Grand Duos
• Usb driver(galaxy grand duos)
• Root Genius
• Turn off your antivirus otherwise it will damage root process
• Patience
What to do before we start:
• Download USB driver to your PC/laptop.If you already have it you don't need to waste time on downloading it.
• Download Root Genius.exe.
So let's start :
• Install USB drive to your PC.If you already installed then go to next step.
•In your phone go to Setting > about phone and tap on Build number 7 times now Developer option will become visible.
•In phone go to setting > Developer option> tick USB debugging.
Note: Now your phone section has been completed.Go to PC.
• Open root genius no need to install so no admin access is needed.
•Connect you Galaxy Grand duos to your PC after root genius is launched.
• Root Genius will detect your device automatically if it connected properly.
• In order to start rooting process you need to click on "Root it" button [green button on bottam right]
•So root genius will start to root your Galaxy Grand Dous automatically. Sit there patiently and it will take 1-2 mins [depending on your PC] to root.
•When that bar reach 100℅ your Galaxy Grand Duos will be rooted successfully. Now Root Genius will install KingUser to your phone.You can uninstall it if you don't need.
•Go to googleplay/anyother app store and download "root checker" to check whether your phone is rooted or not.

Q.Do I loss my data if I use this method?
No absolutely no.You won't loss any data or apps.
Q.Do I loss my phone warranty?
Yes you will loss.But you can get it back by unrooting your phone back to normal stage.You can unroot also by using this application.
Q.Why that bar didn't reaching 100℅?
May be your device is disconnected,Usb cable is loss or your PC port is damaged.
Q.Does this method destroy my phone?
No it won't if you do the steps correctly.
Q.Why I want to root?
If you are reading this post then I won't need to answer this question.
Q.If I get disconnected while rooting can I do it again?
Yes you can.

One of my frnd tried and shown same msg but after he try twice he become successful in rooting.
Just ensure that USB is connected properly or antivirus is off..maybe it will affect rooting.

i tried thrice but all i found is that when the process is on 20% the phone restarts itself nd on 25% its saying "device disconnected please connect and retry" nd then returning to the opening window on the pc. pls help!!

Guys, if you have any custom recovery, and this method is not working, fret not.
Download the supersu zip :http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/
And flash it. I understand this is not noob friendly, but installing a custom recovery has major advantages! Like you can install new ROMs ,and other stuff!
Hey guys, I am posting this in hopes that it will solve your problem now or in the future. This is basically a modified Msm8974DownloadTool that includes the CM11s (XNPH44S) ROM rather than the color OS ROM (Skipping the whole fastboot flash step and just using this program) as well as its 85% translated (Making it easier to use). This will fix any bricks that you might have gotten yourself into or if you simply want to restore to the stock CM11s firmware. Hope you guys enjoy
NOTE: (THIS MEANS READ)
1.) RUN PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR (OR IT WILL FAIL)
2.) If windows 8 nags that it might be unsafe just click more info and click RUN ANYWAY. (Reason: I modified the exe file to flash CM11s rather than Color OS and it causes it to loose the signature.)
3) If drivers dont work or your device is not detected for whatever reason install the QPST tool.
Instructions
1.) Connect your phone to your PC.
2.) Make sure the OnePlusRecoveryTool is open and your PHONE IS OFF.
3.) Hold Volume UP + Power
4.) Your computer should detect it (If not then install proper drivers, Look below)
5.) Click Refresh - Something should be different on one of the columns of the program.
6.) Click Start (Make sure Normal Restore is ticked)
7.) It should flash (It might take a long time to flash System.img and or Userdata.img sometimes)
8.) It will show green once its done, at this point you can disconnect device and hold power to reboot.
9.) You should be fully restored to stock CM11s. Enjoy

MSM Drivers: Run the setup file located in the Drivers folder and follow the prompts BEFORE using the tool otherwise it will fail.
WARNING: The Radios issue was addressed in the v1.1 update, but just in case I have provided instructions below on how to manually flash your modem/radio.
After booting into CM11S, download XNPH44S-modem.bin. Then reboot back to fastboot, cd to the .bin file and flash using:

Just need to clarify something, you mention this restores the device to the stock CM11 firmware, but CM11 isn't the stock firmware for this phone, the stock firmware is CM11S. Is it CM11S or CM11? If it's CM11S, which build does it restore to? If it's CM11, which nightly or snapshot does it restore to?

This tool does NOT use fastboot. It uses the hardware debuging port built into the Qualcomm chipset. Read the OP and follow the instructions on how to activate this port. If you still have questions feel free to ask
Holy crap this thing is a real lifesaver. Improper bootloader and modem flash completely hard bricked my device.
Thanks for the tool bud. Lost data, but at least I got my OPO back. Is there a way to not wipe data? It would have been great if the tool could have an option to not flash userdata.img...

Unfortunetly no, your partitions become borked typically when you lose fastboot or recovery (or both), so reflashing userdata replaces the partitions entirely. Its a total reformat and return to CM11S
Does this lock the bootloader after finish? Need the bootloader unlocked to use it?

I followed the instructions completely, first installed the drivers which I guess isntalled the Colors drivers after that put my phone in fastboot but still the tool failed to detect my phone in any of the ports. Any clue what I need to do to get this working?
I tried installing the drivers again but the setup wnt run and will close immediately after the prompt window.
I have used Nexus devices earlier hence I am quiet familiar with ADB etc but needed to get this tool also working just in case I have a brick and other ways of recovering fail http://cdn4.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon8.gif
Have you tried rebooti g your computer? Since this is a chip set debugging port nothing is displayed when you are using it. That's why you have to have the service connected and program open to get into this mode. Try holding volume up and power for only 5-10 seconds while the device is plugged in and program is ruining. It should be detected right away.

Yes it does, but it isn't required that your bootloader be unlocked for you to use this as far as I've tested.

if my experience can help other user, after connecting the phone off and open the tool , Windows recognizes the phone with previously installed drivers and then you press vol up and power for a few seconds , then refresh the tool , without waiting for the fastboot screen.. then clicking start makes all the procedure to screen black!

Hi Guys I need your help urgently please with my elephone p9000
I am stuck really , I got this phone and tried to root it using kingo and now it is stock on the booting logo , I tried to follow your guide and no success!! can you help me how to flash it using adb method for example.

1- phone boots up
2- getting stuck on the company logo while loading

Tried it, but it did not work. tried it multiple times, it states a succes. Download OK. But when i try to start TWRP by holding vol+ and power, or vol+ and vol- and power
it just starts normally, or it gets me to the factory settings.

I have : Elephone_P9000_20160628 does this have to do with it ?
and i now tried a wireless update... to 20160715 but it says, it will restart in recovery mode to do the update, but then the phone keeps hanging on the ELEPHONE logo... so i can not update the phone anymore apparently... ( so something is done to the factory settings :s but not the TWRMP )

Flash magisk via TWRP.
Hi.
I think my problem is unusual.
I try to install TWRP and/or root my device.
I red a few instructions in german and english.
And still nothing.
Details.
1. I have the compilation: from 2016.08.10.
2. Updater says I have new soft. I can download it 100 times. It says "downloading", then "installing" and "rebooting" but in the end nothing changes: still the same rom, still I can download and install this new soft (from 2017.1.12, 927,13 MB).
3. I can open the recovery mode. This is impossible for this device. Power+UP, Power+DOWN = doesn't matter. I see something like bootloop, but after 10-20 seconds the system is rebooting normally. No recovery.
3A. I didn't find an extra settings in "Options" which give more possibilities during turning off (for example: "restart in recovery").
As You see I can't make the backup (nesessary for me) that is why I didn't try "factory reset".
4. Instructions from Internet didn't work:
a) "MT65xx USB VCOM DRIVERS" installs some drivers but I don't have "Ports (COM&LPT) for Windows 10,
b) "SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1640_Win": no scatter file, don't know how to make it, the file from Internet didn't help,
c) "SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1640_Win": I can't tick "recovery" and any other option,
d) "Mtk_Droid_Tool_v2.5.3": it doesn't show any informations about the device.
As You see I can nothing with my P9000.

hey everyone im new to the forum. i have a galaxy tab a sm-t350 . my first experience leading me here is i just attempted to root it , and i had an error pop up . luckily it was soft bricked so i after 4 days of reading i was able to recover it. SO ....................... now that ive dabbled a little bit, can someone point me in the right direction to rooting , recovery and procedures. Ive been reading here and i see the app called TWRP used alot in terms of recovery . can someone explain what that does? ..... also what i originally used to was the newest ODIN 3 and cf autoroot , those were the first programs i saw . Does anybody recommend using different to Cf autoroot ??? thanks in advance

I have a Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T30 too. So, to root it, download Odin, then download TWRP (which is Team Win Recovery Project). If you have Lollipop (5.x) version go to Link 1. First turn off your device fully and press power button + volume down + home. You will go to download mode. Connect the usb cord to the computer. After the file you have downloaded on your computer, drag the file to the desktop. Go to Odin and and press AP (second clickable button from vertical view). Then find the file from the desktop and click (open) it. Wait until it says RESET and OK. The device is going to reboot. Then, on the computer, download SuperSU from this link. Link: https://download.chainfire.eu/1001/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.78-20160905010000.zip
Then transfer the file to the Samsung Device into the Download section (if you don't have a SD CARD) or to the SD CARD.
Reboot to Recovery mode (TWRP) by pressing Power button + Volume Up button + Home button. After, go to install and go to the desired place you put the SuperSU file and click on it. Then it will say Flash Zip? Swipe to say yes. Then reboot. After that reboot, then go to Play Store and download BusyBox by Stephen (Stericson) and download SuperSU from Chainfire. Then that is all! You have rooted your device and good luck on adventuring the Android World!
