You can apply this package trough the recovery menu and update your ICS 4.0.4 directly to latest Jelly Bean
- Download base (needed) rom : I9300XXBLG8/I9300OXABLG8/I9300XXLH1/I9300XXBLG8 region BTU ( http://samsung-updates.com/fw/Samsung-Updates.com-GT-I9300_BTU_1_20120806161432_al03it6wa2.zip)
- flash it
- transfer OTA file to your phone
- reboot to recovery
- install from zip
- reboot

Thanks a bunch even though I would obviously not try it since Im on another base rom and its too much trouble to flash a different base rom because Ive too many applications and sms i dont wanna lose which I dont know how to make a backup lol. Kies is unable to make application backups. It hangs :\

Titanium backup and sms backup are your friends mate, both you can get from the market and make flashing new roms a painless experience.

I was working with desalesouche on CM11.0 and we had the same error. We had to change set_metadata to set_perm in the updater-script. Will try to do that now.

EDIT: I've read around and it seems that set_metadata error is caused by the recovery. We need a new recovery: Clock Work Mod version 6.0.4.3

Yup I just remembered that. All devices with 4.4 KitKat ROMs need latest CWM recovery. I first read this on the nexus 4 forum lol. But how did @SpaceKiller install it properly?

Maybe TWRP 2.5?

both have Almost no Bugs...! you can try any of them!

Yes, i tried making one MultiROM video...but it seems to be a Bit different and users wont understand the ways of using it....

It will vary. Probally depends on kernel settings too

Very smooth, nice rom. Noticed one thing, kernel doesn't allow to write on external sd card.

Haven't tried it on this ROM (will get to it this weekend), but worked on stock and IronROM.

Yes it is. I'm now working together with @Tkkg1994 on the IronROM. If you are interested in some features you can install IronROM. It has mostly the same features and even more!

Can i port cynogen mod 12.1 for samsung galaxy s 2 to samsung galaxy core 2

Hi guys
I know how to port roms fom here and there.
I have portes lots of the but the thing in common was the devices have almost same specifications.
But today i want to port cm 12.1 for s2 to core 2.
Core 2 is quad core amd s2 is dual core and lots more difference.
Core 2 has 4.4.2. As stock s2 have 4.1 as stock.
So can i port the cm 12.1 rom for s2 to core 2

I get this error when i try to flash it

I have done it but none of the cyanogen app supported the chipset
Forget that dream as i did.
Now i am porting 11 and some of the apps are supported.

What did you mean by 11? Are you porting cyanogenmod 11?

Yep o actually ported but most of apps force closed and only very few ran correctly.
Now a days i am downloading 10.2 to port it to core 2.
I also made my own custom rom lollikat core 2. It have deodexed apps (framework and systemui is not deodexed). Lollipop apps and look and feel(not the notification dropdown menu. Its the stock one). Changed to lollipop lockscreen and launcher. But have a CWM recovery and stock kernal. Xposed installer and lollipop modiles pre installed. But it depends on user to configure it. Used lollipop keyboard,messemger,camera,gmail,drive,play store,google music and some other apps as system apps.
Rom works 100% with no bugs.
But its 500mb and i did not have that much datvto uplode it.
I use vodafone 3g 175mn for 7 days.
Thats enough to guide my friends on hangouts. Whatsapp. Facebook. And reply to posts on xda.

Our Samsung Galaxy Core II has almost the same specifications of Samsung Galaxy S Duos II and Duos II has a Cyanogenmod 11 and 12 versions available. It could be possible to port thar rom to our Galaxy Core II?

You have to errase the asert line in upater scrip the asert lines is like this:

Just delete that line and you can install it

You can't flash other rom in other devices
