participate in this thread to get attention to cm13

to get attention to our mate 7 .. may get cm13
http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/121707-huawei-mate-7-cm13-requset
there will be no custom roms until the kernel sources are released. at the moment only kitkat is available. i have been in communication with a huawei rep and he says he will communicate with huawei on releasing the kernel source. imho, i think we might get the LP kernel sometime soon. he has been able to get other kernels posted on huawei forums. ill contact him in a week to monitor the progress.
yes please develop CM13 for Mate 7 which come with default fingerprint support. Definitely will get better battery time and speed with CM13. like a lot customization from CM rom.
It would be more then great, when cm13 could come to our mate 7. ???
I'd love to see CM13 available with proper hardware support
If we could get Xposed on it as well, working properly, that would be awesome.
Don't forget we have two versions of Mate 7.
Please ask for support on CM forum, they must see our interest, I also give reply to that thread
we all would love cm13..... or cm12 for that matter but its not up to them. they can build a rom without the proper tools. in order for devs to build custom roms they need kernel sources which huawei has not been to good at releasing. so far it seems that only a small few even care about this.
i hope so

[Q/A] Will someone be porting N

Will someone port Android N beta from Nexus 6P to our OnePlus Two?
We still don't have Official stable Marshmallow so it's imposible to have it now and wait that the stable N comes that Cyanogen Team work for CyanogenMod 14, too bad we don't have CyanogenOS on our OnePlus 2 #LuckyOPOuser
Just wait for stable n out, porting a preview is just a waste of time, when source is release someone will do

There isn't even N source code.

AOSP/CyanogenMod for P8?

Hi,
Is anybody working on port of clean Android or CM for P8? I would love to see stock Android experience on this device.

Someone made a start http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3307977
There are a couple of things on github, some for the p8 lite, I haven't managed to track much down. Would love CM as well.
Quite satisfied with the latest Gratitude ROM though.
I saw this post, but project seems to be dead. Can any dev confirm working on it?

Source code Axion 7

Hello,
maybe i want buy a Axion 7 .Can anyone say we if zte release the source code for better Kernel and Roms?
I think the best we can hope for is factory images from ZTE and with a bit of luck (and lots of hard work from people like Unjustified Dev) we'll get a fully working CM rom. I wouldn't expect any more, though.

Root EMUI 5.1, wait for 8.0 or install custom rom?

Hi guys,
I just got my H8Pro switching from OP3T with Oreo so I'm pretty sad that it's just 7.0. I know my eventual end goal is to root the device with Magisk and I'm wondering if I should root the current stock rom or wait till EMUI 8 with oreo (not even sure if I can use magisk with 8.0) which seems to be right round the corner?
The other alternative is to flash a custom rom over it but I'm worried that the camera will be garbage with a stock rom.
Would love some opinions!
Thanks
Josh

Camera quality will suffer on any rom other than the stock EMUI.
There's an EMUI 8 beta rom available for the device in the forum.

I've read that the beta isn't complete? Also that the beta can't be rooted by magisk? Is it easy to flash 8.0 over a rooted 5.1?

I have no idea about EMUI because it's my first honor/Huawei device.
You should probably ask in the oreo beta thread about it. [emoji4]

I'd suggest you wait for 8.0

There's no confirmation about it. Although a mail was received by many in mid November but when contacting with honor care, they have no info about it.

It will make it easier to bring AOSP (pure Android) to honor 8 pro.
There's already a thread in ROMs section by OldDroid, check it out

With project treble all vendors core files are separated from system so all needed files for hardware etc isn't in system Partition though while not everything works out of box its much less hassle and even hardware composer is working as @OldDroid said he probably can explain to but Google about project treble and all info is there
