I can't wait to get both phones. This is going to be awesome. Hopefully the note 6 will come with expandable storage. And that's too bad that the s7 edge won't come with expandable storage.

What would that do as far as the phones storage is concerned?
Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

I have a question, Will the "D" Audio jack be implanted into this phone?

No replaceable battery really blows, but a 64GB + SD & 4GB RAM ain't too bad, especially if they squeeze an extra .1" screen size in the same size chassis as the S6.

I said all the summer that ill take s6 edge, after i said ill take the Sony xperia z5 premium, and yet, as God protect me, im now very happily that i wait so long to jump for my Sony xperia z1, into the Samsung galaxy s7 ^_^ Only and only from all this rumors i have chills all day, weeks now. I cant wait for february /March, to get it into my hands.

A few benchmark tests I have watched usually have Exynos come out on top. So, I'll go with Exynos. But Snapdragon is also fast, but with some xposed tweaks of course

The note 5 just came out in August, what do you think the release of the s7 means for the note 6? Should we expect it earlier?

There might not even be a note 6
Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Why would they make the s7 edge bigger than the regular version? Not all people like phablets and although I don't mind big phones any thing bigger than 5.5 is to big and I don't think that it is a good move for sales.

There will the s7, s7 edge and s7 edge+

Moto X has a VZW release date..development for it?

What are you guys' thoughts about the rumor of august 23rd the Motorola x is coming out? Straight Google on vzw (unfortunately I'm still contracted) with possibly a maxx size battery sounds sweet.
Do you think there will be enough development?
With all the hype, specs, and stock Android, there will definitely be a ton of development for it.
I hate all Motorola phones Lol. Just looked up the specs and its on dual core 1.7. Other specs don't look too thrilling

The specs aren't all that fantastic. The last I heard it wasn't even 1080p, and dual-core anything isn't all the impressive.
But since it has stock aosp (which I never personally was that big a fan of), everyone is going to drool over it, and it'll have relatively good developer support.
There are apparently multiple tiers of them. With the highest being amazing.
S800 processor(simply the best out there)
1080p screen 5ish inch screen
Keller back with drop and water resistant
2 gigs of ram
With or without a maxx size battery.

So you can customize the processor too? I'm thinking that would split development...like this ROM is for 600 processors, ROMs won't be universal. I have an upgrade 8/29 luckily. If you can get a quad core 1.7, maxx battery. 1080p, 2gb of ram, with Google source aosp backing, I'll be all over this

Oh cool!
I'm either looking at this or a newer HTC around Christmas. Verizon will get the one too late...hopefully there is a ground breaking dna2. Otherwise, this is a powerhouse of a phone and I love the developers
For me it's all about specs. The moto x needs to have at least 8 cores or a much faster quad core set up.it needs to have more ram, an equal or better camera, an equal or better screen, an equal or better build quality. I have 2 small kids and taking pics on the fly is really important. I just switch from an iPhone 5 to the DNA and after using the camera for the past week I've been pleasantly surprised. I think everyone will agree that Motorola has never been known for its camera. Hopefully Google has improved this

According to recent leaks the ultra and the 'X phone' are very similar. Both have a mid range version, and that is what leaked quite a few months ago. Recently there have been leaks for a high end version in both line ups.

That processor doesn't actually use 8 cores. It is essentially 2 quad core processor smacked together, with only one being run at once. It is no faster than a normal quad core processor.

The idea behind octo core is battery.minimal tasks use the less powerful four. Gaming, etc, using the more powerful set. So ironically it is about battery. I agree, a new phone has to be super impressive for me to leave the DNA.

I think he is thinking of samsungs Exynos5 cpu, in reality its a dual-quad core cpu, you can only use 4 cores at any given time, like different power states low power cores and high power cores
I will get Moto X no doubts about that . The most important thing would be that - "first smartphone designed, engineered and assembled in the USA". Finally our first American made smartphone . I am tired of asian cra'

Hoe does Samsung think

Note 3 is being released and it's specs are good.
What I don't understand is why the Note 8 is not available with the 3 GB ROM and not available with 32/64 GB RAM.
As a good size tablet, we need that memory more than a phone that is too small for real note taking.

Maybe not, after all I'm only a lowly "member" not an exalted "Senior Member" who I thought was there to help us lowly ones and not be sarcastic.
When my Note comes with 16 GB and before I do anything I'm starting with less than 10, I'd be grateful for even 1 GB extra.

I'm disappointed with the note 3 completely. I'm going with Sony for my next phone the xperia z or whatever it's called. I wanted octacore and they let us down with a quad core. B's. Basically a note 2 with some new touch wiz features 1gb extra ram. Probably because touch wiz will suck that up anyways. My note 2 can actually DO more than the note 3 can anyways. So you are comparing a Stock Note 3 (that you have only seen on videos) with your modded Note 2 that you have also put a higher capacity battery into? Then you continue to say that 3GB of RAM is useless (more or less) since TW will eat it up.. That makes total sense....
I am pretty sure you are welcome to void the warranty of the Note 3 when it comes out by changing the ROM and modifying the hardware to your liking.
Most new phones are just old phones with a few added features and some new hardware...

Why do people get hung up on the number of cores anyway? Are the Note 2 or Note 8 or Galaxy S4 not fast enough? Secondly, the "octa-core" is not a true 8-core and is in effect a quad core. The other 4 cores are something along the lines of lower powered cores for low power usage applications and battery saving. In real life, the Snapdragon 600 in the S4 which is a quad core does better, and he 800 is far better. The Note 3 has a far better CPU than the octa-core that Samsung invented.
And what exactly does your Note 2 do that the Note 3 can't?

Thanks for the information
Looks good on paper. (Except the screen size)
Mainly the 2gigs of LPDDR3 and the ARMv8 MSM8939 looks promising. If anyone here gets the device, post some camera samples.
The phone looks decent in the video reviews for its price. But flagship killer is not the apt word, since it cannot compete with the flagships.
Idk what you really mean about low range flagships.... coz flagships are always high range
Remember, this is just a rebranded coolpad f2 4g clone, so i dont expect it to be good qualitywise. I am looking forward to reviews after long term use

Good think you guys have a official xda thread, expect new developers to pimp out this phone with cool new ROMS !![/QUOTE
By low range flagship killer I meant a device that provides top class experience within budget

Agreed. OP should really change the title to something like Is YU Yureka the new affordable King of midrange smartphones? or, if you really wanna go overboard Is YU Yureka the newest and most affordable Nexus for the masses?
The company really is called YU not Micromax (although started by Micromax founder) and, it is a midrange smartphone with a budget range price.
This is Micromax straight up copying device specs and marketing strategy from Google/Motorola (Moto G/E) and OPPO/OnePlus (One) and Xiaomi (Redmi Note) etc. If they execute properly, this could repeat the Moto G's success. They really should have gone with a 4.5"-4.7" screen (ok, maybe 5" max because India is their main market), bigger battery and, paid deep attention to getting the camera right.

How is possible for MMX to price this phone for 9000 this should be 15 k to be honest given the specs and 4G

At Rs.15k, it will be closer to the OnePlus One's price and that is a better smartphone. It will also have to fight with devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note and the Moto G (which has good quality and support in it's favour but lesser specs). Also last year's Moto X was going for Rs.17k....
Nope. Much safer to jump below Rs.10k for now...

Oneplus 2 (chinese variant) vs LG G4(H818)

Hi,
Im looking to buy a new phone but im worried which to choose lg g4 h818 (no bootloader) or the oneplus 2 (chinese variant) btw i live in KSA.
Lg g4 pros:
Curved QHD screen
Removable battery
Leather back
Awesome camera
Cons:
No bootloader unlock
No fingerprint
3gb ram rather than 4 gb
Oneplus 2
Pros:
4gb ram
Fingerprint sensor
Loads of roms
Cons:
Chinese version
Full hd screen rather than qhd
Has been rumored of heating issues
Pls help me out
Well you seem to know both pro's and con's of both these devices... Now it's entirely up to you to decide which one will suit you better

I was between the same devices.
I choose the op2 because of this:
-Full HD screen : more battery and less GPU demanding
-SoC: 810 vs 808. That means ram lpddr3 vs lpddr4, adreno 418 (qHD) vs adreno 430 (FHD).
About heating, because of the rumors oneplus throttle the devices too fast, if you edited the thermal file with boeffla kernel you could have awesome performance, for more info about throttle pm me.
-Fingerprint.
-XDA community, not too much for no but it will grow up. Oneplus is contacting devs from XDA, that must be a good thing [emoji4] .
-Capacitive buttons, so it does not take space from the screen
-Alert slider is useful, but lg g4 volume buttons are very nice too.
-4gb vs 3gb, its not a real life difference but maybe it will be.
EDIT:- Better battery life. 3300mah vs 3000mah, also fhd vs qhd must make a difference.
About nfc, for almost 2 years i never use it on my nexus 5, so its not a problem for me.
Happy new year! Hope you can make the best decision, cheers.

Best stock experience g4
If you're not afraid of tweaking then go for op2

I sent an LGG4 back and bought a Oneplus Two and although the LG was a nice enough phone battery life was abysmal and don't worry about Qhd v Fhd I actually preferred the Fhd and you get much better battery life

Should i switch from note 5 to lg g6?

I am an owner of note 5 64gb. I overall satisfied by the phone. Amazing screen. Spen. Lots of space. The cons is. Since the begging i came across with mobile network connectivity issues. Not all the tíme but from time to time. And i miss calls. Also after install nougat i see total battery drain especially with mobile data on. In a possible search of a new phone and to my budget limits is lg g6. 2017 flagship phone. Awsome screen. Amazing camera(s). Good handling. Should i swap my note 5 with the lg? My only concern is the screen. I am a user of Samsung super amoled screen the past 8 years so I don't know how the lcd would be.
Any help? Anyone who owned an Samsung amoled phone that jumped to lg g6. Is there any noticeable difference in the eye?
Yes, U should ! Got note 3, note 4, s6, s7, now g6 and camera is just far better, battery life is same as s7, display qualty is good to, no big diff iin eye
Is there a solution for handwriting like spen on other phones? Or even a good app? Note 4 was awsome (i had owned), note 5 cpu exynos is a beast! How 821 responds? (4 corea right?)
I don't know, really. Never used SPEN even when I had it
Yes, but just with 64 gb + quad dac/wireless charging model

SD821 is far superior to your Exynos 7420. Don't worry about the amount of cores because our Kryo CPU is a lot faster than your A57 cores.
About GPU don't worry too. Our Adreno 530 is twice as fast as your Mali-T760MP8

It's the 32gb model i want to buy. LG G6 H870 32GB
I am a little bit confused. Does lg g6 h870 32gb support dlna and wireless charging? What's the difference at quad dac as you mentioned.

I don't know much technical stuff man! But the note 5 for a 2015 phone is still a beast and even always on power saving.
