FAQs + Notes:
The Bloatware Remover zip version Mtimes-v1 includes most separated zips and results in the stable and safe state which i am using.
The Bloatware Remover zip version Mtimes-v1 will delete the /system/__Backup/ folder.
The bloatware_remover_list.xlsx includes apps from my previews phones which are not present at LP 5.x.
I followed this guide 4 times on 3 different Sony Xperia Z1 C6903 and it always worked.
The \META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script files can be used for other devices too. You probably only need to change the \META-INF\com\google\android\update-binary file!

changelog and FAQs

The bootloader status "Bootloader unlock Allowed: yes" means that you can unlock your bootloader but it isn't unlocked yet.
Only the status "bootloader unlocked yes" means that the bootloader is unlocked.
What I want to say is that the installation of xzdr should always work with "unlock Allowed yes" because it is still locked.
Can you tell us the resulting size of the firmware after running the debloating zip.
Thx for this tut. This should help new user very much.

i dont know what you downloaded but its probably a flashable zip, as far as i know you can only use and install those in Recovery. Thus boot into recovery select install, select your zip and press confirm, delete cache and dalvik afterwards.

hi , I was lasy and skipped downloading and flashing part and installed kingroot 5.2.1 , it is now of system apps and it cant remove it self using unroot, I tried installing old version but always "installation failed", (my power button is crasy , it clicks it self so I remapped it to camera button, using xposed, so flashing it seems like a bad idea), what do you suggest ?
----------------
edit1: I resotred it using xperia companion then I am flashing it now with france nrj using flash tool (the only region with 14.5.A.0.270)....
--------------------
edit 2 : same problems as before, after reboot the root files become read only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-----------------------
edit 3: I unlocked the bootloader then rooted then installed the recovery , works great, but android 5.0.2 only, so I continued the tuto and updated to the pre rooted android 5.1.1, guess what, lost read again to /root, I mean I cant install xposed and make folders in / and /system for exemple, I am pulling my hair right now, I entered the recovery and wiped data and the phone is stuck at sony logo (nope , not boot loop) bricked? I donnow I am flashing it again now with flashtool to the old 5.0.2 version again , I wasted 2 days now on this ****** new phone , AGHHHH!!!

Ummm....I need a little help please!
Stuck at step 17 . There is no firmware shown. I have downloaded the firmware for my phone, it is a D5503, Xperia Z1 compact in USA. Just for fun, I also downloaded the UK firmware but seems like both give some error after downloading. Please see screenshot below:

[GUIDE] Back up DRM Keys & unlock/relock Bootloader (Noob proof)

This is a step by step tutorial on how to back up your DRM keys (TA Partition, to revert to factory state in case of warranty issue) and unlock the bootloader. After unlocking the bootloader you will lose your DRM keys so it's good to make a backup of it (it's optional though). Basically no DRM keys means no warranty and unlocked bootloader means no warranty. Read also here for additional info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598
Make sure to read the 'Questions' (bottom of the post) if you encounter any problems!
Rooting
First of all you need to have root access to backup your DRM keys.
Follow this thread to get root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900
Old method:
Follow these steps, after that you will have an unbranded UK KitKat (4.4) firmware with root access (if you rather want JellyBean 4.3, check out 'Questions' down below). Thanks to Darkimmortal for the steps (I added some steps and made it easier to follow).
Take a backup of your phone because it will be wiped!

Install Z1 Compact USB drivers ( http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/ )
It's possible that Z1 Compact drivers are already installed, if you have installed Sony PC Companion.
Install Flashtool ( http://www.flashtool.net/index.php )
Install fastboot & flashmode drivers from Flashtool (go to the installation directory and open the folder drivers/) (note: if you have Windows 8.1 64bit you need to disable Driver Signature check: Link)
Download SuperSU and put on your SD card (do not unzip) ( http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu )
Note: There might be problems with large SD cards (32GB and bigger). You can also put the files on your internal storage: Follow steps 5-7 after step 11.
Download latest Z1C-lockeddualrecovery(...)flashable.zip and put on your SD card (do not unzip) ( http://nut.xperia-files.com/ )
Download z1c-44-uk.system.flashable.zip and put on your SD card (do not unzip) ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8nLbtP1HtINcENMbjdSdnJteDA/edit?usp=sharing | mega mirror )
Download SO-02F_14.1.H.1.281_docomo.ftf and put it in the installation directory of flashtool in the folder firmwares/ ( http://dl.weeaboo.com/Z1Compact/SO-02F_14.1.H.1.281_docomo.ftf | share-online mirror | mega mirror )
Open flashtool, select Flash => Flashmode and flash SO-02F_14.1.H.1.281_docomo.ftf (select Wipe [Check ALL] and Exclude [Check TA, BASEBAND, FOTA])
Wait atleast 30 seconds then power off your phone, hold volume down and plug in your USB cable (your phone will boot in flashmode)
After flashtool flashed the firmware successfully, remove the cable and power on the phone (will take some time) and go to Settings => 'About phone' and press 7 times on 'Android Build'. This will unlock the Developer options in Settings. Enable USB debugging under Developer options and check 'Unknown sources' under Security.
Now flash C6903_14.1.G.534_ianford10_UK Unbranded_modified.ftf in flashmode (boot phone in flashmode again) (select Exclude [Uncheck ALL] and Wipe should be empty) ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8nLbtP1HtINbkdUX0hwQk9BN3M/edit?usp=sharing | mediafire mirror | share-online mirror )
Start your phone normally and plug in your USB cable (screen will be black, this is normal and it will stay like that until you finish step 16)
Download and extract Z1C-lockeddualrecovery(...)installer.zip. Then run install.bat and select option 3 [Installation on unrooted ROM] ( http://nut.xperia-files.com/ )
Note: This is actually a different file as the one you downloaded on step 6. You're supposed to run this one here on your computer.
After the process is finished and you get a confirmation that your device is rooted, hold Volume Up and hold the power button. After the phone vibrated 3 times it will shut down. (This is force power off)
Flash D5503_14.3.A.0.681_Generic_UK-nosystem.ftf in flashmode (boot phone in flashmode again) (select Wipe [Uncheck ALL] and Exclude [Uncheck ALL]) ( http://www.mediafire.com/download/g1mahcm5y8cax2q/D5503_14.3.A.0.681_Generic_UK-nosystem.ftf | mega mirror )
Go to the Recovery Menu. To do that, power off your phone. Then power it on again. After the vibrate and the green LED turns on, hold Volume Up (LED will turn violet). PhilZ Touch recovery will open.
Try to flash SuperSU zip. If it doesn't work, switch to TWRP recovery (Volume Down) and try there.
Now format /system (located under Mounts & Storage) (Important: Do NOT reboot until advised so or you will have to start again)
Do a factory reset in the Recovery Menu
Install the following files in this order (Important) (see steps 5 - 7)
z1c-44-uk.system.flashable.zip
Z1C-lockeddualrecovery(...)flashable.zip
UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.(...).zip
Optional: Update to the latest firmware with this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2688933
Reboot your phone
Congratulations, your phone is now rooted (bootloader still locked)
DRM keys Backup
Now since your phone is rooted you can proceed with backing up your DRM keys (TA partition). Follow these steps:
Enable USB debugging on your phone (go to Settings => 'About phone' and press 7 times on 'Android Build'. This will unlock the Developer options in Settings. Enable USB debugging under Developer options and check 'Unknown sources' under Security.)
Download Backup TA and start Backup-TA.bat ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598 )
Select Option 1 (Backup) to backup your TA partition
After the process succeded your backup will be in the folder backup/ (Make a backup of the backup!)
Congratulations, you have now a backup of your DRM keys. You can also use Backup TA to restore your TA partition. It is recommend to have the same firmware when restoring as you had when you backed it up (see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52745293&postcount=299 )
Unlocking bootloader
Now if you have a backup of your DRM keys you are ready to unlock the bootloader. You need to have an unlocked bootloader to install Custom Roms, test builds, etc.
Make a backup because your SD card will be formatted!
Follow this guide to unlock the bootloader: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2440597
Yes, it also works for Z1 Compact, all the steps are the same. You can skip installing the drivers since you should already have them from the steps above.
Relock bootloader only
If you want to relock your bootloader (e.g. for downloading official sony updates in Sony Update Service) you can do so with flashtool. This only works if you already unlocked the bootloader with the official method.
Note: This does not restore the DRM keys. If you have a warranty issue you should restore your TA parition (which will relock your bootloader and restore DRM keys) with Backup TA.
Open flashtool
Click on the BLU icon
Connect your phone in flashmode (hold volume down and plug in your USB cable)
Flashtool will ask you about the device model, choose Sony XPERIA Z1 (if Z1 compact is not in the list)
Flashtool will read your IMEI and your unlock code. Check if those are correct (compare unlock code with the one you received by email from Sony when you unlocked the bootloader)
Flashtool will save the unlock code in its program folder under custom/mydevices.
Click "Lock bootloader" (-> If you want to unlock it again, repeat the steps (it will automatically detect that your bootloader is locked))

On Step 7, download this file instead: http://dl.weeaboo.com/Z1Compact/z1c-43-uk.system.flashable.zip | share-online mirror => Use this file for step 21.1
For step 16, use the following file: D5503_14.2.A.1.114_Generic UK-nosystem.ftf (same flashing options)
Note: do not mix 4.3 and 4.4

At the end of the guide, flash the ftf file also found within that link (select Wipe [Uncheck Data] and Exclude [Uncheck ALL])

Why is the rooting procedure so damn complicated?
If the bootloader is locked, the device can only be rooted with an exploit. But the exploit known working for the Z1 Compact does not work on current firmwares, so you first need to flash an old firmware to perform the exploit.

How do I install the Z1 Compact USB drivers? There is no exe file?
You need to install the drivers in device manager. If you don't know how to do that, here is a guide: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/97061-driver-install-device-manager.html

I can't install the Z1 Compact drivers because my phone doesn't boot?
There are 3 possible solutions
a) Flash Sony stock rom to make the phone boot
b) Install Z1 Compact from Flashtool (same as step 4, just search in the list for Z1C)
c) Skip installing drivers until step 11 and install it then

Check your device manager if everything is all right ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50573132&postcount=51 ) (thanks marcolorenzo)
You might have forgot to check USB debugging as advised on step 11. (thanks Riyal)

A short question, because for people like me, that never had a Sony device before, it's confusing.
If i unlock the boot-loader, the DRM keys are lost and some Sony integrated programs don't work anymore. That's clear.
But is it possible after bl unlock to restore the keys and have the boot loader unlocked ? Or will it relock immediately ?
Another another unclarified thing is the flash back and forth thing for rooting. This is done in the tuts with country/regions specific firmwares.
How do I know, what's the right fw for my device, if I want to restore to stock ? And where can I dl stock fw for my country/region ?

It's also my first sony phone and when doing this procedure yesterday I was very confused so I thought I'll make an easy guide
I don't know if it's possible to restore the keys after unlocking, I don't think so though. Afaik if you restore the TA partition (including the keys) it will also lock your bootloader again. The reason to back up the keys is that in case you have a problem and need to send your phone for repair (warranty) you can reset your phone back to factory state (Locked bootloader).
Yes the flashing procedure is confusing but it is required because the root exploit only works on that firmware. There is no problem in using the UK firmware. I don't know where to download stock firmwares though.
By the way can you elaborate what exactly is confusing? So I can try to make the guide better!

No. The ftf files are for flashing with flashtool, while the zip are for flashing in the recovery. You don't have to rename anything (otherwise it would be stated in the guide).
Edit: If the files get saved as zip files by your browser you should rename them to ftf. Check if the hashes are correct.
Hi zxz0O0,
Thanks for writing this up, even though it's essentially a rewrite of Darkimmortals tutorial.
Please be aware that this is not quite "Noob proof" yet!
As someone who hasn't flashed an Android phone since 2011, I ran into a few issues / concerns:
a) "Install fastboot & flashmode drivers from Flashtool"
Depending on the operating System (for me: Windows 8.1 x64), Driver Signature check needs to be disabled in order to do that.
b) Zips to SD-Card: It's worth pointing out that "put it on your SD Card" literarilly means "Copy the ZIP to the root of your SD Card". I wasn't sure (should I unzip it? What to do with it?)
c) It would make sense to add the flashing instructions before the "flash..." statement.
I was smart enough to read the full instructions, yet I can imagine some people to read "flash C6903 (...)"... okay. Click flash, continue reading: "select Wipe [Uncheck ALL]" oh no!
d) "Run Z1C-lockeddualrecovery(...)installer.zip's install.bat"
In order to do that, you need adb-tools (the bat would just throw "File not found" errors), possibly also extract the content of the ZIP to the ADB-Tools directory (that's what I did).
e) "Now format /system"
Afraid to do the wrong thing, I read this six times and checked Darkimmortals instructions "Factory reset and clear for rom installation" [this appeared a bit more clear]
The actual steps are called
1: "Wipe Data/Factory Reset"
2: "Clean to Install a New ROM"
Note that I stopped after "Congratulations, your phone is now rooted (bootloader still locked)"
I just wanted Root for some tools and am quite happy with the factory Rom (want to keep my DRM Keys and Warranty).
Thanks!

I managed to root my Z1C with that guide, though I had to try the install.bat for the recovery multiple times (not your fault, of course) and it was irritating that the screen stays black during the flashing steps. At first I thought that I messed something up.
I ran into another problem and it's woth mentioning: The recovery refused to boot my 64GB microSD formatted with exFAT. It works flawlessly in Android, but recovery didn't like it. I had one 8GB FAT-formatted lying around and with that there was no problem.
I don't know if 64GB or exFAT was the problem, but it's worth mentioning in the guide, I guess.

I couldn't get root with the Z1C-lockeddualrecovery2.7.85-BETA and after like 200 times, I found the issue!!!
When opening the install.bat (right click --> edit) go to this line "if "!menu_decision!" != "3" ("
Then change the != "3" to == "3" (replace the ! with a =
That's what did it for me! :good: (after hours of trying :silly
What was the exact error that you didn't get root? It shouldn't be necessary to change anything (I used 2.7.84-BETA though).

Something like "! - was unexpected at this time". I just couldn't make sense of it as I'm not familiar with commands. But when I opened install.bat from the 2.7.81 and compared it to 2.7.85, that's when I found the little error

Check step 16. You should start the phone normally (press power button). Then the phone will vibrate slightly. After that the LED will turn green. If the LED is green you should hold Volume UP button. The LED will turn violet and you will enter the recovery menu.
If the phone does not vibrate at start, check if the phone is even off (force phone off: Hold Volume Up and then hold the power button. After the phone vibrated 3 times it will shut down, if nothing happens the phone is already off). If the phone vibrates but no green light and you get a boot loop you did something wrong and should start again from step 1.
How can I install the drivers? I've downloaded the zipped file but not sure what to do with it. I've extracted the files but where should they be placed? When placing them in the Drivers folder in the Flashtool I still get the "No drivers installed" error when putting the phone in flashmode. Never had this issue on my Z1 so not sure how to go about it.

[GUIDE] How to upgrade from Marshmallow B510 to B521

It's a pretty straightforward guide. Just follow the guide carefully and you'll be in no time rocking with B521.
This guide is divided into 5 sections. Follow all sections in the order illustrated in the guide.
Optional Step (Recommended) : Flash Stock B510
It is generally a good idea to start from a completely fresh base. Although not necessary, you will however, loose all your data and apps. Backup what is important before following.
Flash Stock Recovery (see Step 4 below)
Download B510 from here: https://mega.nz/#!NYgUFYLA!wEEf0f3w_6wxbzr9TYTvTquGBUhsMmRG53G8RSp2xMQ
Copy the Update.APP in the downloaded B510 ROM to dload folder in the root of your external SD card.
Power off your device.
Hold Volume Down, Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously until you see the Honor logo. Your device will now automatically flash the whole Update.APP
Step 1 : Flashing Custom Recovery (TWRP in this case)
If you are already on TWRP, then skip this section. Before you follow make sure you have installed Huawei HiSuite and ADB/Fastboot Tools. If not see the links below:
Huawei HiSuite: http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/
ADB and Fastboot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpcXRmV1BmRk1Ta1k
Extract the ADB and Fastboot zip to any preferred location.
Instructions
Download TWRP 3.0.1 Recovery. Head to this thread for download links: http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4c/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-0-0-huawei-honor-4c-t3349495 Copy the downloaded recovery to the folder where you have extracted ADB and Fastboot tools.
Power off your device.
Now while holding Volume Down button attach your device to computer via USB cable. Your device will now automatically switch to Fastboot mode.
In the folder where Recovery and Fastboot tools are present, hold down left shift button and simultaneously press Right mouse button. In the dropdown menu, select Open Command Window here.
Switch to the Command Prompt window and type:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_name.img
Replace recovery_name with the downloaded recovery's file name.
You have successfully installed TWRP :victory:
Step 2 : Enable Local OTA Update option in Marshmallow
In Marshmallow, Huawei has removed the option to flash OTA updates and Update.APP through the Local Update. Lets get that option back!Credits to this section goes to OXALIS at 4pda.ru for making the patch to enable Local Update option in Huawei Update app.
Download the Huawei Update patch from this link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpUXUybmFZeTVXNDg Copy it to either your device's internal memory or a SD card.
Power off your device.
Hold Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously to boot your device to recovery.
Install the zip downloaded in the first step though TWRP.
Step 3 : Removing Root
If your device is currently not rooted and is completely stock, you can skip this section.
Before you follow make sure you have installed Huawei HiSuite and ADB/Fastboot Tools. If not see the links below:
Huawei HiSuite: http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/
ADB and Fastboot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpcXRmV1BmRk1Ta1k
Extract the ADB and Fastboot zip to any preferred location.
Removing Root
Download Stock Marshmallow boot image from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpY1lBVF9ubFdOSXM Copy it to the folder where you have extracted ADB and Fastboot.
Power off your device.
Now while holding Volume Down button attach your device to computer via USB cable. Your device will now automatically switch to Fastboot mode.
In the folder where Recovery and Fastboot tools are present; hold down left shift button and simultaneously press Right mouse button. In the dropdown menu, select Open Command Window here.
Switch to the Command Prompt window and type:
Code:
fastboot flash boot stock_boot_mm.img
Open SuperSU app and click on "Full Unroot" in Settings.
Your device is now unrooted.
Q. Why not just click the 'Unroot" option in SuperSU app?
Although that would work as it does the same the same thing described above i.e. replace patched ramdisk with stock backup, if the backup isn't present (such as you made a Factory Reset), your ramdisk will remain patched even though unrooted. It's good idea to revert to Stock boot.img if you ever need to root again.
Step 4 : Flashing Stock Recovery
It has been literally mentioned a thousand times that you can't flash official ROMs and OTAs through a custom recovery (such as TWRP). You have to be on Stock Recovery.
Before you follow make sure you have installed Huawei HiSuite and ADB/Fastboot Tools. If not see the links below:
Huawei HiSuite: http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/
ADB and Fastboot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpcXRmV1BmRk1Ta1k
Extract the ADB and Fastboot zip to any preferred location.
Instructions
Download the Marshmallow Stock EMUI Recovery from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpbldwYWExOGNTUTQ Copy the recovery to the location where you have extracted ADB and Fastboot tools.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery stock_recovery_mm.img
You have successfully installed Stock Recovery :victory:
Step 5 : Updating to B521
Download the B521 OTA zip from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxgU9yQssu83NTJ6eFBseS1ET3c/view?pref=2&pli=1 (Credits goes to vit755 at 4pda.ru)
Rename the downloaded zip to update.zip and copy it to dload folder in the root of your external SD card.
In your device, open Settings and tap on Update.
Tap the Menu button and then Local Update
Tap the Incremental Update option.
Your device will now reboot to install the update.
Tada! You're done! (Hit thanks if you found this guide useful)
It worked. Now on B521.
Thanks bro
Can anyone provide the changelog for this? is it worth installing over b510?
Help pls.. After installing the update using Huawei updater, the installation got stuck at around 92% so I had to reboot my phone, but now it's stuck in boot loop... I tried flashing the stock Marshmallow rom but I keep on getting install error on forced SD upgrade... My phone version is balong right now..
Edit: I flashed the stock Malaysian Lollipop using forced upgrade and my phone is working again

The CHC-U01 will not work. You have to manually upgrade to B510 first.
The most easiest method is to downgrade to C636B330 and upgrade to B510.
Finally, B521

You have to restart phone before doing a new thing. Use magisk..
So wait, the locked bootloader part, flashing that ftf, does it have anything different or any of the stuff u stated above or is it just stock ftf?
Ooh ok it's stock ftf, kinda confusing lol

I try again, step by step. And now it is ok. Thanks.
Step 9. It doesn't show any FTF file that I can select. Tried it on Windows 10, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium E6853, 32.4.A.1.54. Any idea?
I would like to ask in which step should we go straight if the phone is already updated OTA to 32.4.A.1.54 and the bootloader is unlocked.
Thank you!
thanks

Hello dude, i have a question, this root is with Energy Aware Scheduling (EAS)? And i have sony xperia z5 premium with android 7.1.1 system, never change rom (in this phone) and don't know if is blocked or not, this root is only for the system and however don't lost my files from my phone?
However with this mod there is energy battery life improved with display active?
Thanks much!
Kernal
How do developers modify the kernel for xperia z5 devices?
So, if I have a locked bootloader (unlock allowed - No) I follow steps 1-14 and it gives me root?
Am I right?

Does this allow us with locked bootloaders to root our phone?
H! what resources ill lost on my z5p if I lose my drm keys? thx!
Thanks, my Z5P is happily rooted now. I'm afraid of hitting a wall sooner or later because of the unlocked bootloader but I couldn't make do without root access haha.
Battery drain
First of all! Wow! Been waiting ages for something like this as I have been stuck on 5.1.1 for a long time!
Anyway.. Installed everything as posted by the steps, all worked flawlessly I must admit, lightning fast, very stable, smooth as butter when operating the system, but over the period of 2 days I have had this rom installed I have experienced exceptional battery drain while using Bluetooth (never turn this of due to car and headset), I have never had a problem with Bluetooth using battery but as the stats read it is using about 94-98% of my battery!! It quite literally is sucking the power from my device whenever Bluetooth is turned on.
Is there anyone else experiencing this? Or can you maybe check to see if you are experiencing this?
Any fix would be greatly appreciated mate as I have looked online everywhere and can't seem to find a fix other than downgrading the rom (which is not what I want to do!)
I appreciate any answer in advance
Cheers guys!!

ZTE Blade V9 Vita, Install TWRP, Root & Custom Rom without bootloader unlock

Before doing this, carefully read the material and read the instructions. If you do everything point by point, then you will succeed.
1. Setup
Donwload the following utilities:
Partitions Flashing Tool - Universal partition tools for qualcomm snapdragon 435
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=952274&view=findpost&p=85383238
Custom Recovever - TWRP-3.3.1.0-V9Vita.img
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1diPzJ_qcZRvzVFPRdE139ggCk9vgzG72/view?usp=sharing
Disable encryption - Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_08.02.2019[1].zip (attached in theme)
2. Install
When you download all utillites, unpack Partition Flasting Tool in any folder and open batch file - PFT_V1.5_EN.bat, connect you're smartphone to PC, and press in utillites number 2 (ADB to Reboot EDL mode changer). You're phone go to EDL mode 9008. Tape number 4 (Backup One Partition), Enter COM Port, Enter target partition name: recovery. Next step is flash custom recovery - twrp.
Put file - TWRP-3.3.1.0-V9Vita.img in files folder, rename him in twrp.img. When is done, press number 5 (Flash one partition),
Enter COM Port:
Enter Target partition name: - recovery
Enter Flashing file name: - twrp (or your recovery file name)
After the installation of the process, turn on phone in recovery mode (VolumeUP+Power). In TWRP use swipe and go to Wipe, press right button Format Data, tape YES and OK. Done?! Go to EDL mode, use number 2 (ADB to Reboot EDL mode changer) in utillites PFT 1.5. Now need flash stock recovery (that you're backup). Use number 5 (Flash one partition),
Enter COM Port:
Enter Target partition name: - recovery
Enter Flashing file name: - recovery (or your recovery file name)
How it complete, turn on phone in recovery mode, now we are in stock recovery, press wipe data \ factory reset. Next go to EDL, use number 2 (ADB to Reboot EDL mode changer). Flash TWRP again as we as we did before. In EDL mode use press number 5 (Flash one partition):
Enter COM Port:
Enter Target partition name: - recovery
Enter Flashing file name: - twrp (or your recovery file name)
At the end of the installation, turn on phone in recovery mode (VolumeUp+Power), put zip file Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_08.02.2019[1].zip in any folder, flash him (this disable encryption (Otherwise you get an error - encryption failed)). When zip flash is done, reboot phone as system, now you have Working TWRP and correct Stock\Custom Roms install without error.
3. Install Custom Roms
Download any TREBLE Rom, example LineageOS 16.0:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development/gsi-lineageos-16-0-gsi-arm64-ab-how-to-t3908029
Copy to phone and flash as img in system image, reboot to system, and wait for the installation process to complete. Use for your own purposes.
4. Install Custom Roms
Go to https://opengapps.org, Download any pack (pico), copy on the phone folder, reboot to recovery mode, go to Wipe, press left button - advanced wipe, tap on system (set checkbox on system), Tap on Repair or Change File System, next Change File System. Now you will not have error 70.
For root use magisk 16.0 or 16.7

BTW, I found this one online, I think it should work too: https://zalexanninev15.github.io/PFT2/
PFT2 works, I checked it myself. You just need to download not the latest version from the releases, there are problems with the flash!

The author has fixed all the problems in the recent update of version 1.20. I checked for past errors, there are none, so it is worth using PFT2 instead of PFT (I suppose PFT2 is a further development of the utility without the "2" in the name )

You can't get full root rights on your smartphone without unlocking the bootloader. The loader can't be unlocked without the factory (test) MBN file. ZTE really steamed over this.
To get incomplete root rights you need to:
1. Download the archive from this link (I'm new, you can't leave links, so take the QR code)
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
2. Extract ZIP archive, flash "bootmagisk160.fdf" to "boot" partition (or flash "bootmagisk167.fdf" [Beta])
3. Through device recovery mode, erase (wipe) all data
4. Install the file "magisk583.apk" (or "magisk591.apk" [Beta] for "bootmagisk167.fdf") on Android and check for root rights
hi, is there a video on this or something? i really cant understand the steps (at least in the PFT2 i just cant seen to make it work)
