* TWRP from XZDR 2.7.99 can't backup system partition - I strongly advise to update to XZDR 2.7.101 which fixes this issue

about bootloader
bootloader still locked in this case or not, i am in kk 681 version can i do this without any problem.
first i instal TWRP manager from play store , after i flash the zip file, i turn off my phone. i open flashtool and flash the stripped ftf when my phone is power off. when flashed the stripped i turn it on, and i done??????

My flashmode is not working properly, could you please make a stock boot.img kernel?
Just the stock kernel, no mods.
Then I could flash kernel in fastboot.

How did you made the rom and stripped ftf from an full ftf file? I am waiting for NUT to update his DIY guide for 4.4 so I can use my own ftf file to make a rom, but maybe there already is a way to do that?

Does it work with Locked Bootloader?
I am currently on iHacker's rom and flashed with his recommended stripped kernel (should be 4.3's kernel)
I already have TWRP installed, can I just flash your ROM and use Flashtool to flash your stripped kernel?
Will that affects future downgrading?

Yes, it will work on locked bootloader as its based on stock firmware so has stock kernel

Do I have to have a rooted device. Because I'm from the UK, and really eager to try out the kitkat. However, I'm not sure if it'll be safe.

Unless you install the recovery on 534 FW
However, you can flash a stock 4.4.2 FTF on flashtool without root

Shall I use the Vodafone one, as that is the only version for my phone in the UK.
Also, if I want to remove the FTF and go back to 4.3, how'd I do so?

If you have an update in PCCompanion just flash that, that's your official update

I was trying to install your CE1 version of KK but when it's installing in TWRP suddenly my phone woke up. I have tryed few times, but all time the same. I can't even flash ftf in Flashtool. I didn't wipe anything (i don't want to lose my saves from GTA ^^), I was installing it on already installed FR ver. What should i do?

can you please make another mirror, downloading from google drive is agonazingly slow, i've already tried the third time... it sais 10 hours...

After using this ROM for 20h there was only one call notification that was routed via the earpiece. So it is not bad, but not great. :/

Here are the files compatible with @[NUT]'s DIY for KK. I have followed his great guide! I'm not using his VM though, since I'm already on Linux.
Tip: the lates updater folder is present in every flashable zip.

[FTF][Prerooted]23.0.1.A.0.167 RU for Z2 tablet [SGP521]

There are ftf and flasable zip file wich install latest ROM 23.0.1.A.0.167 RU, latest SuperSu v2.16 and latest beta Dualrecovery .154 for Tablet Z2 with read/write acces to system.
Stock ftf (.167) install via flashtool: SGP521_23.0.1.A.0.167_VMo RU-UA-KZ.ftf (1.16 GB )
Prerooted (.167) version flash via custom recovery on a previous (.314) version of firmware: SGP521_23.0.1.A.0.167_RU_flashable.zip (1.04 GB )
After install Wipe Cache/Dalvik.
Then you can use this deodex-patch

1. To downgrade firmware to .314 via flashtool and to root your tablet.
2. Install XZDualRecovery.
3. Install prerooted (.167) version via recovery (OP).

Thank you. I sat till 01:30 this morning to get my tablet back to workable state after trying to downgrade. In the process I lost some data.
The mistake I did was to flash your ftf file via flashtool after I did a OTA update to .167. From there things went south quickly. Now I'm back to .167 after flashing a generic .314 and doing an OTA.
Will start the process again to downgrade and then root and then install dual recovery.
Sorry for the stupid question. I'm from South Africa, is there a way I can get or make a flashable .167 for my region or doesn't it really matter using a RU version?

First off, i would like to say thank you for these FTF files
i flashed this FTF without a hitch, everything works as it should except my data connection. and for me, this is a deal breaker, i need the data connection (I'm currently with bell mobility)
now my question is...
can i take out the LTE bands from this 23.0.1.A.0.167 FTF and replace it with bell's (band4 1700MHz, band7 2600MHz)

Hi again. Managed to get the update done and now have. 167 installed with root. I'm having the same problem as blaze82 with regards to the LTE not working for me. I also need my LTE to work, so can this be fixed somehow?
An ex Asus transformer user, so the sony way of foing is also new to me.

Just realized that there is no APN set for mobile Internet access. Added it and now my LTE is working.

Pick one, I went with Russia and it loaded fine and left my setting to English but if it changes its not hard to change your language.

Hi, I only have the SPG612 so I cannot tell for sure. Some people say that they have successfully installed the SPG611 rom on the 32GB Version, so this might actually work as well. If you try it out, which is entirely up to you, make sure you do a backup first.

Thank you for that update!
Just installed it and it works fine.
For information, here are steps I've completed:
- backup using TitaniumBackup
- backup using TWRP (all partitions)
- go to TWRP recovery and flash the ZIP
- no wipe of anything
- reboot to system (wait for optimization)
- wait for some updates (Photos crash at the begining, but the update is already available and fix that)
- Root test : OK
- Recovery test : OK
- Camera still working
Just the Xposed framework (that should have been installed) doens't seem to be working (BubbleUPNP plugin can't be enabed cause Xposed is not installed: have to check that).
Else, everything run correctly.

yeah, thanks for the heads-up! perhaps it's better to install the xposed framework manually in general. will not include it in the next prerooted rom.

Did you try it out already?

Yes! It works fine. Root, recovery, all OK.
The only thing I don't like is that it shows 4G instead of LTE and the icons are too separated, but that's just an aesthetic thing.
The rom works fine and fluid.

I tried to make my own firmware with PRFCreator 1.1, downloaded the PT_23.4.A.1.264 and included SuperSU and dualrecovery but somehow I got it wrong and lost root
Downgraded to 23.0.F.1.74 and have root and dualrecovery again.
So I'll give it a try again and I hope I'll keep root this time.
Is lockeddualrecovery2.8.23 recommended for this upgrade?

That's what I bundled.

The new download source is working fine.
I used TWR to install the firmware and it worked like a charm, no problems with root.
My Z3 Dual D6633 is on 23.4.A.1.264 without any problems or bugs so far.

It has some country specific bloatware/offers. Not really useful. But it was the only one .264 ready for D6633.

First of all, great thanks for your work. I'm one of those who are still in LP because of the lack of fastboot comands in MM and don't want to lose TWRP, is there any way to update to this latest version of stock MM without losing TWRP + Root?
I've been waiting Alcatel to fix the problem of no recording phone calls, and now as it seems is working again after this november update is time to get MM on my beloved 6045Y.

Should we wipe something?

I tried to install the update with twrp 3.0.0-1 and it failed.
The message is :
EMMC:/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot:-------
Has unexpected contents.
My firmware is 6045Y 6.0.1 Europe EU4 by you.
My phone is rooted. I've systemless xposed framework installed.

Does anyone have a link to either a changelog or a feature list for each update? My usual excellent Google-fu seems to be falling short and I can find anything.
All the last update said was that it would improve security and usability. That's pretty vague

I'm on MM with systemless root and it fails with FlashFire too (unable to mount some partition). Any idea on how to apply this OTA?

So, don't work on any custom rom, include mine and Alek ones​

-flash your 6045Y with Mobile Upgrade Q
-apply ota update
-flash twrp with "alcatel flasher by decker.su"
-root your phone with supersu zip

I will try to apply the Patch Update at 6045y first update and then to make Twrp Backup then to convert to system and make Flashable zip of Latest i Will make this later if i have time if not this weekend

I've tried the same and, not working for me, the better way is to edit update and remove all patch for missing stuff on your roms

So, if i follow your small tip steeps, i could have without any doubt this latest MM stock ROM with TWRP? It's indispensable for me to have TWRP + root, thanks in advance mate.
I'm incapable of doing a backup of recovery & boot with "alcatel flasher by decker.su" as i state in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70001742&postcount=54

[Problem] Recovery loop
Alcatel One Touch idol 3 - 6045Y
Recovery loop while doing OTA update
Tried...
1.Wipe Cache, Reboot...(loop)
2.Wipe data/factory reset, Reboot...(loop)
3.Update from ADB...
3.1. used different ROMs...(nothing works)
- getting footer is wrong, signature verification failed.
3.2. used a update.zip from this forum(partial works)
- got upto 50% updates, but after it shows
-this is for "this finger print": but your device has "TCL/idol3/idol3? 5.0.2/LRX22G/v7ST2-0?user/release-keys"
Yet to try,
I think i need a update.zip or a ROM for above mentioned Fingerprint.
Information about my device:
-idol 3 (5.5) 6045Y
boot loader - L7ST2020BG00
built.id - LRX22G
version - 5.0.2
Fingerprint - mentioned above
region - US
